This ain't no fancy bistro cafe. Let's get that straight. The day we visited there was a live cattle auction happening in the same building which I thought was cool & added to the authentic country charm. If you were wondering, the smell of cows was NOT perceptible even by my extra good sniffer. Probably because of the auction, combined with great reviews - the place was packed with cowboys/girls & farmers along with a mix of other diners. Young, old, hip, not hip, all getting along in there. Wait staff was busy as could be, but kindly took our order & served our dishes while they were still piping hot which is a pet peeve when it's not. Menu had gluten free and vegetarian options which I didn't expect but did think was smart & I'll def try one of them next time I eat here. Lots of choices for everyone. Prices were the usual for this economy ($15+ person entree, excluding beverage or spendier stuff like steak). The place smelled like a good diner ought to: sizzling fragrance of thick bacon & burgers, scent of fresh coffee, toasted breads & perfectly cooked eggs. I ordered the Breakfast Torta, a SW twist on a bfast sammy - egg, bacon, tomato with gorgeous & plentiful avocado atop a thick smear of housemade refried beans. All packed into the freshest torta bread I've eaten anywhere. My husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast with crispy house potatoes. They serve Pepsi products so hubs had a big glass of chocolate milk (nice sized!) and I had water & a side of fruit. Golly! The portions were generous and whoever is cooking clearly knows what they're doing cause I could taste the love in every bite. (Even the bites of not-my-entree under the guise of needing to review his plate, too!). The chicken fried steak was perfectly seasoned, inside and out and the thickish gravy had a zest to it which really made the dish extra good. I was pleasantly surprised that the home fries were perfectly crisp. Usually it's the side dishes at many cafes that I find a real let down. Not here. Start to finish, everything was dinerliciously great. Five stars for executing country cafe food without cutting corners. Had enough to enjoy some for next days' lunch. What a disappointing experience. Ordered the churro French toast with eggs and ham. I also ordered toast with coffee for before my meal came. The toast didn't come out until the breakfast was served. I got my food and it was all served on the same plate so the eggs and ham now have the churro powder all over the eggs and ham. The French toast was under cooked so the center has the egg slime. read more

Had the steak & eggs....it was ok, the steak wasn't even a quarter inch thick, wimpy for a place that sells beef commercially, I liked the location and it felt like i was visiting texas...we're going to try lunch here soon, im hoping that'll be their shining moment. Rustic cowboy cafe in the sale barn building. Lots of locals love it, and based on the reviews I wanted to try it out. While it was busy when we first walked in around 950am, the breakfast folks cleared out fairly soon and only about half the tables remained seated. Unfortunately, we still waited over an hour (1105am) to get our food, and one of our orders had to be sent back to the kitchen. The waitresses were kind but seemed stressed and overwhelmed. While the food we eventually got tasted decent, unfortunately I don't think I would be back. read more

This place is out in the middle of nowhere, but a pleasant surprise. I went for breakfast with a friend, and it seemed like the only other patrons were local regulars. They were all very friendly! The waitress was nice enough as well. I ordered a tres leches pancake and the chorizo breakfast burrito. The pancake was moist and fluffy, and it was a nice flavor. The burrito came with a side of salsa and was also pretty good. It had a lot stuff in and was pretty filling. On the downside, I was immediately harassed by flies as soon as I sat down and for the entire time we were there. Found Luna Cafe on our maps after leaving the Marana Pumpkim Patch and saw it was just down the road! Located inside the Marana Stockyard, Luna Cafe is a perfect local stop! The chorizo burrito (my go to when judging a new breakfast spot in Southern AZ) was PACKED with chorizo and the eggs were so fresh!! The housemade salsa set fire to my entire body but I couldn't help but pour it on! The country fried steak sandwich is (and i quote) the best sandwich my husband has had since moving here almost 4 years ago. The cheese crust on the bread was insane and so good! The pancakes were huge and filling and checked that homestyle box we all look for at local breakfast spots. Staff were super friendly and attentive. The decor is Stockyard vibes in the best way! My family and I were on our way back from Tucson and decided to stop to try Luna Café, which seems to be part of a larger building. When we walked in, literally every single person was a cowboy or a rancher. The service was excellent, and the food was really good. Some of the best, fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever had. Parking is interesting because it's just a dirt lot in front of the building, however, there is plenty of space. Yesterday, we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Our waitress was friendly served our drinks and took our order quickly. I had the Luna Double burger with a side of fries. This is a quaint restaurant with old western charm. The walls are lined with pictures depicting historical items and western themed items as well as some autographed pictures. Wednesdays there is cattle auctions from the stockyard and is probably when the restaurant is the most busy. I was here on a Tuesday and was seated immediately by the waitress and was greeted with a smile and hello. I ordered the Luna Burger with onion rings and when it arrived at my table I could see everything was fresh and cooked to my liking. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. I would recommend this for a unique experience from a stockyard cafe. read more

Best Burger in the "Best of the Northwest 2025" was just awarded. I had to go see what it was about. It did NOT disappoint. What a GREAT Burger. Not a smash, but a nice thick Burger patty like they used to be and in my Classic Burger mindset, should be. Plus, the Luna Cafe is an experience. If you have ever been to the Marana Veterans Cemetary or to the Marana Pumpkin patch, well that's close to where this Diner is. It is a destination, not a place you will casually just be driving by. It is in the vintage Marana stockyard auction building. Very, like let's say Rustic & Dated, old Ft. Worth. Of Note, and it did not deviate from our experience, the restrooms and the entrance into the building are not very updated. They are part of the Auction house and are very dusty maybe due to the Wednesday Auctions. The Cafe itself is really cozy, clean and has awesome food and a great friendly staff. This morning, we drove into Marana to eat at the Luna Cafe, located in the Marana Stockyards building. Very nice enclosed area located away from the sale and auctioning section. My wife had the avocado toast with 2 eggs and hash browns and I had the biscuits with sausage gravy and scrambled eggs and hashed browns. Everything was delicious. Even when arriving 15 minutes prior to closing, the staff at the Luna Cafe was welcoming and accommodating. The food was outstanding, a large selection for breakfast and lunch. The taco salad was fresh and salsa was freshly made. The patty melt was flavorful and hot. We also had the chicken fried steak and it tasted like true home cooking.
