This review is written by me and the kid at my house. Everything here is fresh and yummy! Our household eats the Feingold diet and we are able to eat here with no problems. Hands down my favourite breakfast place in Omaha. For starters they have the best coffee of anyone. They have a wide variety of breakfast options; from healthy options to great griddle options, and their Eggs-clusives. They also offer real maple syrup for a small additional charge. This morning I had the Chickichanga for the first time, it was delicious. The service is very attentive even when they are busy. We came for lunch and we're really pleased with our food. I had a BLTE with no eggs and I changed the bread to sourdough. That was the best change I could have made - the sourdough was to DIE for! The sandwich was excellent, with a good tasting tomato, enough bacon and the cheese was a nice addition. My friend had a Monterey Club which also came on sourdough. She enjoyed it very much and we both agreed that we'd be back for more!! read more

Tried this place out a couple of times, and I must say I enjoyed the food. It was quite busy when I was there last, so others must feel the same way. Not somewhere to go if you are in a hurry. My husband is a big meat eater and I lean more toward the vegetarian dishes when we go out to eat...First Watch has menu items for both of us. 5 Stars if it was easier to get to. We come from Dundee, and it takes almost as long to go the last two blocks as it does to go the rest of the way lol. First Watch is honestly one of the best restaurants I have been to! I have had just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed with any of the meals I have had from First Watch. It also helps that my family enjoys the restaurant as much as I do because it allows me to taste all the different platters that are served here. My all-time favorite is the Floridian French Toast because of the flavor combination of the fruit and the french toast itself. But I may be a little biased here because french toast is also my favorite breakfast meal. However, my only issue with First Watch is always the service. Though the place is nice and clean, and the employees do the job they are meant to do, I don't ever feel welcomed there. And maybe I am just reading the workers social cues poorly, but I have always felt that they're unfriendly around me. read more

Ordered on Uber eats for this first watch specifically. I've been to different first watch restaurants across the country and I usually have a great experience. I received my order and it looked and tasted like it had been left out for hours. Everything was cold, not even a hint of warmth which is strange because I received it with in 35-40 minutes of my order being placed. The one piece of bacon I got looked like it had been through a blender because it was half torn apart. I paid $2 extra for cheese on my eggs and there was not a shred of cheese to be seen. The scramble eggs were hard and chunky. And to top it off they forgot the toppings for one of my Belgium waffles. I'm so disappointed, do not order food from here. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat at 10:00 am today. The service was okay and she did bring us water and coffee in a timely manner. The food was okay, although I thought the pancake was a bit dry. Eggs and sausage were fine and coffee was okay. My wife liked the coffee more than I did, she is the coffee drinker in the house. We would note that on the patio and young lady came in with her rather large German Shepard. I really don't have a problem with dogs in the patio area nor do I care that they brought him some water. I did notice that nearly every server stopped by and petted the dog and that he actually licked a plate clean. I hope that the servers all washed their hands before they served there next tables and I think feeding him at table side was a bit much. read more

By far the best place in town for brunch/lunch. There is usually a wait on weekends, but don't let that put you off. It is worth it!! Week days is quieter if you can sneak down there during that time! The staff are so friendly and have received amazing service every time i have gone. It's great value, health conscious and delicious. The menu is seasonal & they cook everything on the grill. There is no microwaves or fryers! My go to is the Farmhouse Skillet Hash. SOOO Good!! This place is not limited capacity. Not even close. While I've been here waiting 30 minutes for my to go order, I see the entire left side of the location has every table full. On the right side of the location, they have 5 tables empty. People who are not eating are walking all over the restaurant without masks. Unmasked people crowding the cashier counter and paying for their meals while not wearing masks. I haven't felt this unsafe in the community in a while. This location has horrible covid response and actively is contributing to the problem. I will not be coming back, not even for takeout. read more

I stopped in the other morning after an all night job, playing in a wedding band! I was totally exhausted and needed a pick-me-up! I had their Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos! Oh my goodness, they were delicious!! The fresh avocado hit the spot! I had such a great time, I came back the next morning to try their Cinnamon Chip Pancake Breakfast, which was to die for. Unfortunately incompetent in handling delivery orders. We like the food but have had issues with placing delivery orders, starting with missing items. This morning we placed an order and immediately called in to ask for no tomatoes and gluten free bread (I'm allergic to both) and they said they'd do it. A few minutes later they call back saying they'd already added the tomatoes (this seems a little suspect, was it really started that quickly? Or did someone make a mistake?). They told us we'd have to go through DoorDash to cancel and resend the order but when we tried to do that it wouldn't refund us. An hour passes and no food, DD calls us and says they were told we would be cancelling the order, so apparently there was some confusion about the availability of the delivery driver if we were going to have it remade, but we were under the impression the order was coming one way or another as we hadn't canceled our order. I'm just annoyed we had to go through all this and still have to call DoorDash to get a refund ourselves and have no food to show for it. I know DoorDash is the worst, but the effort to make it right was mishandled and better training on how to handle these issues seems to be in order. In addition to the missing items in the past I don't think we'll be ordering again. I just want to know that I can order an omelette and have my allergies accommodated so I don't spend the next couple days in debilitating pain, and it doesn't seem like that's possible here, when we did everything we should have to and more to no avail. read more

We didn't know this was a chain and were skeptical. The huge weight went pretty quick and we were seated 10 minutes earlier than we thought. The place is incredibly loud, terrible acoustics, lots of tile and high ceilings so if you're going with an older person who has trouble hearing, or you don't have a loud voice, or you don't want to hear what's going on at every other table surrounding you, you might want to select a different place to eat. The coffee was good and strong, they have half-and-half and turbinado sugar so that's a plus. Our veggie hash and plate of chai pancakes that we split were delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The pancakes weren't hot (it seemed like the plate was cold) but the hash was, I'm sure the pancakes would've been better if they were steaming a bit and if they came with butter. We ordered a side of "hollandaise" and I absolutely would not call it hollandaise. It didn't taste bad but it did not taste like anything other than a thickened lemon sauce. The biggest bummer was the long amount of time we waited before our waitress came to our table. We flagged down another staff member and they were shocked we weren't greeted yet. They went and got us coffee and said that our waitress was still hung up doing something else. When she finally came to our table she gave us an excuse that she didn't realize her table was reseated... I am completely befuddled by how she assumed she wouldn't get another table when there was a long wait in the front of the restaurant on a Saturday morning. I'm not sure what's happening with regard to what is socially acceptable currently, but an apology would've made all the difference. She absolutely was not going to apologize, she only made excuses. read more

Been here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. Place is usually busy especially on the weekends. Expect a wait on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Weekdays are better as there are always tables open. They have plenty of healthy options on the menu and always have a few speciality items on the menu every time I come in. The service is always good and very helpful. I'm not big into coffee but First Watch has some of the best coffee I've had. Generous portions of fresh delicious breakfast food! Pancakes were enormous and light! Warm syrup on ricotta pancake was delectable. The lemon on top was ok but seemed like pie filling so personally I'd stick to the pancake. The Bacado omelette was "yum-yum in my tum" according to my son. I had the Italian omelette served with greens which were straight from the garden and lightly dressed Only thing that could have been better would be that the onions could have been diced and fresher (hard to cut or chew). Daughter had the traditional two eggs, toast, potato and fruit. Breads seemed fresh and full of nuts. Fresh squeezed OJ was a hit. Coffee was hot and plentiful. Service was excellent read more

I usually stick my nose up to chain restaurants, but I'm a HUGE fan of First Watch. I've never had a bad meal at any of their locations. And I very much appreciate that I can get a healthy plate and it be just as delicious as the not-so-healthy options that I resist! Also, do yourself a favor and get their juice concoctions. My husband and I have been to this location on 72nd 3 times and once in Florida and we have never had any problems. The food is so good, and we are big fans of firstwatch! You can have breakfast foods like pancakes, eggs, omelets or sandwiches and lunch foods. I like that their food is always fresh and they have a healthier side of the menu as well which is a great option. We usually arrive at about 11 on sundays and wait 15-20 minutes. The atmosphere is casual and the servers are friendly. Unfortunately it's only a breakfast/lunch restaurant so if you are looking for great food, earlier in the day, look no further! read more

I looked up breakfast options on Yelp hoping to find a gem before my Mom took me to the airport! Boy did I at First Watch! This place has a fabulous menu with really great options so it was hard to decide on what to eat. I eyed the Avocado Toast and let me tell you this was a great selection! They used whole grain toast and put "heaping" amounts of Avocado on top of each toast that had been Mashed a bit with extra virgin olive oil with a touch of sea salt! They served two basted eggs (basted in water, not butter) that were cooked to my specifications. My meal also came with fresh fruit. Mom ordered Belgian waffles and eggs and she loved her breakfast too. She said the outside of her warm waffles was crisp with a tender interior. Adding in some warm syrup she was in total heaven! I took a paper copy of their menu and plotted what I would order the next time I came to Omaha to visit my family. Everything is made to order here, all organic and they have a nice chalk board selection of specials and an interesting variety of fresh juices and healthy beverages to jump start your morning! I found the service very engaging as I asked for slices of strawberries on the side for my Mom's waffles and they gladly brought them to her. I was such a fan of First Watch when I lived in Ohio. Omaha seems to struggle a bit with some basics that I just can't let go. My staple is the eggs Benedict Florentine. I've ordered it 3 times at the Omaha location. The first time was so dry - over cooked egg and minimal hollandaise - I was so disappointed. The second time I received severely un-ripened avocado, which is flavorless, hard, and essentially inedible... removing it made the dish much less delicious (and not worth the money). The third time the poached eggs were over cooked again and the potatoes were undercooked. I've given up on my favorite menu item and lost all optimism. On the positive side this place is good for moderately sized groups and I do love their fresh orange juice. It's easy to show up and wait an hour for a table on a whim, while most other brunch restaurants seem to require a reservation. read more

First Watch is a family friendly brunch place. When I stepped in, its crowd and lack of waiting area put me off. Once I put my name down, I found out the wait was 20 minutes, just for one person! After I was seated, I felt like I was waiting forever for someone to take my order. I ordered the fresh juice and the cinnamon pancakes. While I was highly satisfied with both items, I was very dissatisfied with the service. Once my food was served, I felt rushed to finish up and get out because my check was brought to me at the same time my food arrived. Needless to say, the food was good. I am a US Army veteran and I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED that on Veteran's Day this chain restaurant did not have any special deals for veterans. However, me, my wife, and daughter had a nice breakfast there. On the way out I noticed two career Navy veterans in class "A" uniform eating there. We paid for their meal and tip. It gets very crowded here on the weekends, so my suggestion would be to put your name down on the list and hit the Starbucks across the street to wait it out. First Watch is a good breakfast spot for your standard bacon eggs and toast or something more on the healthier side. This time, I had the egg white turkey omelette with feta cheese, spinach and onion (aka Healthy Turkey). It was served with whole grain artisan toast and house made preserves. The coffee is flavorful and served with raw sugar you can add if you'd like. The place is bright and open; great for a breakfast business meeting. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rare 5 star review. This place exceeded my expectations. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect going in. I had heard varied but all good reviews of First Watch prior to visiting myself. We were seated next to the fireplace. Great ambience and a civil crowd of customers. The staff were attentive and not overbearing. The menu was a diverse yet properly written and well organized. I honestly wanted no less then 5-6 different items based on the menu descriptions alone. Our group all ordered something different and we shared the million dollar bacon. Let me be clear. This bacon was amazing. The candy coating was simply mouth watering. Totally unexpected and a rare time the server recommended something and it was as good as advertised. I had the works omelette with a side salad. It was both delicious and filling. I was completely satisfied after eating here. So was everyone else in our group. Everyone was mentioning how good the food was. This is rare. Finding a place to dine with equally great food and customer service is hard to come by these days. If you're looking for an upscale, healthy breakfast spot, this is where you want to eat. I had Eggs Benedict with smoked sockeye salmon and it was delicious. I requested light hollandaise sauce and it came with the perfect amount. The default side is mixed greens, but they will substitute potatoes if that is what you prefer. I wanted a veggie-heavy meal and for less than $2 they added a fair portion of sautéed onions/peppers/mushrooms. I'm already trying to plan my morning around coming back here tomorrow. read more
