First time here and I love what they are doing, the bummer is I love in California. Great atmosphere, service was nice and fast, it was busy too with people waiting. So that's always a bonus. Food was what to come back for fresh ingredients and innovative ideas for the menu and specials. Had the special Carnitas Breakfast Burrito, has warm tomatillo sauce and a lime cream sauce, pickled onions. It was so good. Definitely recommend this place. I've been to this location a couple of times and always appreciate the variety of the chain's menu, consistent quality of their food and attention to cleanliness. I was disappointed today, however, by their uninspired waitstaff. Host team worked to seat our large group right away, but waitstaff seemed bored and was inattentive. Food came out slowly and only in sections, leaving one member of our party not receiving their toast until the rest of us had finished. Especially disappointed when it came time for us to pay as the server literally threw our tickets on the table. Oh dang, this is my kind of breakfast! I'm glad Omaha has another restaurant to fill my insatiable need for bacon. First Watch has several locations throughout the metro. My wife and I went to the 144th and Maple location. It was around 11:30am and we were immediately seated despite the crowd. The vibe reminds me of a rustic farmhouse. Exactly the place for breakfast in Nebraska!! The menu is much more eclectic than the usual breakfast joint and they have great options for fresh juice. I had their seasonal special which was a delicious watermelon, apple, pineapple, and mint concoction that was fresh and light. I then ordered the special cornbread and chorizo bowl with poached eggs and black beans. It was pretty dang good but it could have used a bit more spice. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that was apparently to die for. Overall I really liked my experience at First Watch and I'm happy to see that they have several spots in Omaha. Love eating brunch at this restaurant! I have been here three times and all three times the servers were nice and courteous. Summer Crab Omelet I ordered was yummy (I ordered two times and both times were consistently delicious)! We had to use gift cards and a coupon to pay for our meal this time and the manager was super helpful to assist with our payment methods. If you come on the weekend, make sure you use the app to "Get In Line!" I forgot to do that this time and the manager told me I should try using the App next time. I did really like First Watch. However, they have a few issues, which is why I did not rate them a full 5 stars. I'll start by saying I will not hesitate to go back, and the food was very good. However, when I went on Sunday morning around 9 AM they were extremely busy (like any other brunch place on Sunday mornings). The front entrance is EXTREMELY small ( I was told their other locations are similar). I was touching shoulders with everybody around me while waiting for my table. There are only two or three benches that sit three people at most, each. The other major issue was that at this location (i don't know about the others) you have to go up front to pay, and everybody trying to pay has to fight the massive crowd waiting at the door just to pay their bill. It's very uncomfortable in the front waiting area. They do have a water/coffee table for people waiting which I thought was very nice, however, again very hard to get to with all the people. My other issue was that service was extremely slow (To be expected when a place is that busy). It's difficult to keep a toddler entertained for that long, so I was glad they had coloring sheets for the kids. I really liked the food, I would go back and fight the crowds again because the food was very good. Next time I go I will however try to go at a less busy time. The prices are slightly higher than some other places, but not terrible. The portion sizes were perfect, I thought. Both adults at our table ordered the pumpkin pancake breakfast, which consisted of one (large) pumpkin pancake, two eggs made to order, and sausage. I ordered the chicken sausage instead of the turkey sausage, and it was also very good. The toddler with us had the kids fruit crepe, which was not a hit with her but that was only because she does not like bananas, which it contained. The staff was very understanding and was willing to quickly make some scrambled eggs with a few pieces of baked for her, which did go over well. I would recommend giving First Watch a try, just be prepared to wait. read more

I love this place! I'm has a rustic almost urban farmhouse feel. Like coming home! The hostess and our waitress were friendly, engaging and welcoming. I met my daughter for lunch. We had brunch instead! Our waitress was knowledgeable about the foods and making sure we had what we needed without suffocating us. We shared the house bacon. Oooo if you are a bacon lover this is a must! It was crisp, rich, with a maple chili sauce! So sweet, smoky and a bit of heat to warm you from the inside! I then had the mushroom frittata. Wow! If you've been following my Yelp, you'll notice I'm on a big brunch kick right now. I've been going primarily with the local owned restaurants, but one of my friends said that First Watch was just as good without the (approx. 20% higher) price tag. We came in on a Sunday around 11:15 AM and the though the lobby was packed, the wait was only about 35 minutes. The size of the restaurant is much larger than any of the other local places and the decor was tasteful. Very much a "farmhouse" look on the inside. One SUPER nice perk I enjoyed (which I could confidently give them 3 stars) was their complimentary coffee and water station for guests who were waiting to be seated. Most entrees ranged from $8-$12 and the kids meals were $5.50 (I believe). I ordered the Kale Salad and my husband got the Chicken Chimichurri Hash. Judge away if you think my entree does not merit a full Yelp review, but a wise foodie once said, "You can determine the worth of a brunch place by their kale salad." Ok, I totally made that up, but bear with me- I DID happen to try everyone else's food. The portion sizes were fairly generous and even the kids sizes were large. The food was probably as good as a Village Inn, but slightly better. I think the challenge of First Watch is a bit of an identity crisis. Are they trying to appeal to a more "traditional" breakfast audience or are they going for progressive "farm-to-table" breakfast audience??? Their menu had a little bit of both, but when you try to appeal to all marketing segments it's really hard to devote your efforts and talents into excelling at one thing. While good, this place is not crave-worthy or somewhere that I'd be crawling to get back in. I've had better, I've had worse. Worth a shot if you haven't been, though! read more

The food and juices here are definitely fresh and tasty! This is more of a "healthy" brunch option in omaha. I would say their cocktail selection is lacking compared to other places, but they have fresh juices that are unique. While I still personally prefer early bird for brunch, this place is definitely on my map. I had the rancher's hash, and it was awesome. The roasted tomatoes and cheese really made it pop. The avocado in it seemed unnecessary to me, and kind of felt like they put it in to cater to the more young, avocado-obsessed crowd, versus actually adding anything to the dish. I would also say their overall variety is lacking compared to early bird, too. Not a huge amount of lunch-y options for a brunch place either, which early bird has. Still, overall good experience and I would definitely come back just for that hash (with no avocado next time). read more

First Watch has a great brunch menu and very fresh ingredients. We took our one year old daughter with us and the server was very nice to help keep her busy he brought out some fruit, crayons, and coloring book for her. Wish it was still Egg and I. Came here for some tasty breakfast while hungover and didn't realize how west coast it got. I think they forgot we're in Omaha ‍. If you love avocado in literally anything and everything or are still pretending you're living your best healthy life because it's the beginning of the year this place will be your jam. If you're like me though and can't stand all healthy options on a breakfast menu (some are cool) I don't suggest waiting in their annoyingly tiny waiting area. I'd also like to know what kids eat while they're dining here? I didn't see anything a child from the Midwest would be cool with eating on their menu. Do kids really like chia seeds? This review was written in stone as soon as I found out they no longer serve hazelnut coffee. I guess I'll have to drive out to Farmhouse. read more

I was introduced to my 1st First Watch in Orlando. We recently relocated to the Omaha area and were happy to find the First Watch on 147th & Maple. The food is awesome. The roast beef & havarti sandwich is fantastic! Prices are generally 10-20% lower than Panera Bread for equal or better quality and taste. Plus you can have a Mimosa or Bloody Mary for those tough mornings when something more relaxing than coffee is in order. read more

We love to eat here. The last 2 times though, the service was lacking. Today was worse than ever. We ordered things we didn't get. My eggs weren't even ordered the way I asked. They tried to deliver the wrong food because the waiter had put our table number on it. While it was kind of them to give us $2 off our next visit, it's only good M-F which means this teacher cannot use it after this day. Not for a long time.
