We had family in town this weekend and hadn't been to this location yet on 168th and are so glad we chose to come here today. Our server, Ratisha, was amazing, sweet, kind and helpful. The few times I've visited this location, I've left with not much good to say about it. The food has never been made correctly, and has always taken far too long. Above that, twice now I have overheard the kitchen staff screaming at the servers, and even once witnessed one of the servers run crying to the bathroom. If I could move into this place I would. The food is amazing. I always have the avocado toast but lately I had the eggs benedict with avocado instead of meat. It's absolutely delicious. Their fresh juice specials are always super good. They have the kale option and usually a seasonal one. The watermelon one I had was really good. They always have a good staff. Quick kitchen and I have to say amazing bathrooms as well. The coffee is good. They bought the Egg and I and they had special coffees like hazelnut or blends which I miss. I can't wait to come back! We were seated immediately. We ordered the breakfast tacos and a traditional breakfast. Besides the tacos (and the beans they come with) needing a bit of salt, everything was really delicious and fresh. The menu is awesome and has a lot of interesting things to try. Don't order takeout The food was good - the customer service for getting takeout was horrible. I ordered an online takeout on Saturday morning and was told to pickup at 10:50AM. I arrived to the store exactly at 10:50AM. I told the hostess my name and was told that my order wasn't ready yet, but they would bring it out to me when ready. That's fine - I understand restaurants can run behind, but there is no excuse for what happened next. I overheard the male host telling a DoorDash Driver (whom he seemed chummy with) that their computer was down and they were having to do orders by hand. It would have been nice to hear that information first-hand, especially since I had to wait 20 extra minutes for my food. I waited the 20 minutes nonetheless. At one point, the same male host asked for my name and for the 2nd time, I informed the restaurant who I was. At approximately 11:10AM, the original female hostess (who knew my name) brought out the food, announced it was for "Patrick" and sat it on a ledge behind the host stand before disappearing to God-knows-where. I approached the host stand. I was completely ignored by the male host, as he waived 2 customers up to the counter (past me). I asked "is that my food on the ledge?" To which he replied, "I don't know." I asked him again, "Can I get my food?" To which he asked another hostess, "whose food is that?" She told him "Patrick's." He shrugged, and continued to interact with the other customer! Admittedly, this infuriated me, and I told him - "It would be nice to not be ignored. I have told you three times that my name is Patrick. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that. Can I have my food that I have been waiting 20 minutes for?" At that point, he finally gave me my food! If a customer is waiting on their order for 20+ minutes past the point it was supposed to be ready - you should bring it out directly to them with a huge apology! As it was - the food was dropped off on a counter and the host acted like I was the problem for wanting to get my food within a reasonable timeframe after being 20 minute late. Perhaps if you weren't yucking it up with your DoorDash buddy, you could focus on the customers who are actually paying to keep your restaurant open! read more

I love First Watch! The workers are all so friendly and the atmosphere is cute and filled with good brunch vibes. The food is amazinggg and they have plenty of vegetarian options. My only complaint would be that the tables for two are very small considering the amount of things that are already on it (napkins, sugar, ketchup, menu stand, etc.) so when the server brings out a water jar it has no where else to go but right in the view of your guest which makes things kinda awkward. Very cute interior especially love the lights decor and cute accent walls. Overall the place had like a rustic farmhouse feel. The staff was very kind and attentive. I cannot believe the awful experience I had here. Ordered the Italian omelette and the waitress repeated it back wrong, so I explained that I wanted the omelette with tomatoes peppers and sausage. Food came out and there was avocado inside. I told the waitress and she said no problem, apologized and I again let her know what I ordered. Second time it came out it was the same thing. So I was going to pick around, took a bite and could not. I explained again to the waitress what I ordered and pointed it out on the menu. The manager came over and apologized and said the waitress was confused and had put in a chorizo order instead. So I asked for the correct menu item to go. It came out and we got our ticket and they still planned on charging me for messing up twice. I am not one to complain ever especially as I have worked in the food industry. But I would have comped it after the first mess up. They ended up voiding the ticket but the manager didn't do it willingly or nicely. She looked incredibly dismissive about it. I came here on a weekly brunch date with two friends after one recommended it. I was not disappointed! So much so we have come back 3 times since our first visit! I tried the iced coffee, which was wonderful. It's not to sweet, but sweet enough for someone like me who can't do black coffee. A friend tried one of the juices which had beets and turmeric, which sounded bizzare, but was really quite tasty! Our friend who had been here had the Floridian French toast, which was super thick tasty French toast topped with a variety of berries. She had a side of bacon (but doesn't like it crispy) and it was cooked just how she wanted. I had the avocado toast and could literally eat it every day for the rest of my life. The toast itself is thick and hearty and topped with a half inch layer of avocado. They top it with poached eggs (which are always perfectly cooked) and pinch of salt and a little lemon juice. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Overall, I love this place. The servings are hearty and the menu is well executed. My only negative is that my gravy, cheese and bacon loving husband wasn't enthralled with the menu (but I knew that would be the case). I will be back again for sure! read more
