Cute little place that's been around for a minute. I went and it was predominantly older people. I ordered the waffle with apple butter, strawberries, and granola. It was so good and full of flavor but I would recommend getting everything on the side because by time my waitress brought it out it wasn't warm and was gooey(not how you might want to eat your waffle). Server was friendly and kept our water full!! read more

This is one of those reviews hoping for a response from the restaurant. If you subscribe to the "live wait time" and claim zero wait then have a full lobby and min 30 minute delay, that's pretty disappointing. Would have liked to try the food but couldn't. read more

This is my go-to breakfast place. The food is always well prepared and fresh. The service is good, too. I've been coming here for several years and have not been disappointed whether dining in or getting takeout. I typically get either the farmhouse hash, lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, or an omelet. The special juice options are good. Just a really dependably good breakfast or brunch spot. read more

I met for a quick breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning. Even with the rush, we were seated within 15-20min. Just be prepared to stand and be in the way of everyone if it's cold outside. There isn't much of a waiting area. The food came out insanely quick and the service was efficient. Ordered the standard breakfast with a Belgian waffle. Delish! I'm always happy when somewhere that is known for their artistic take on brunch can still pull off a couple of well cooked eggs and a waffle. A little on the pricey side for the setting and food, though. I would go back if I were on the northside, but I don't know that I would seek it out. read more

Good service. Really good food. Chickichanga!! Nice fresh fruit. I didn't see any vegan options jump out at me - even the "veggie burger" had an egg on top (which I'm sure you can get without but I didn't ask if the burger itself was truly vegan). Lots of good for you foods though. I'll be back! read more

One of my favorite breakfast joints! The food has yet to disappoint. I love the chickichanga! At this location servers aren't very personable unless you're a regular it seems. I visited a couple weeks ago and the server only came by twice- once to take our order and once to bring our food. Had to flag her down for a water and the check. read more

Hands down this is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. Let's start with the basics. The restaurant is a nice size and has plenty of seating. The service is always above par. Very friendly and attentive waiters and waitress. Let's move on the menu and food. First, I am a huge fan of breakfast and I can eat it for all three meals. The menu is full of healthily selections that are more than just small bleep on the menu. They have a variety of healthy options that include egg whites, healthy grains and fresh fruit to top of your selection. The coffee is to die for. I typically have the egg white omelette with Turkey along with wheat toast. Do not sleep on this restaurant it is well worth the visit. read more

I was excited when I heard this place was coming to town, as its philosophy is fresh, wealthy food. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be as flavorful since it's "healthy," but that was far from the truth. They bring you your own pot of coffee and there are several different creamers at the table. The pancakes are huge, fluffy on the inside & crispy outside. We had pecan & banana/granola, both which were really flavorful. They also have turkey sausage links available. Potatoes were diced and sautéed with just a little onion - yum! Most importantly, service was great - friendly, attentive & welcoming. Will definitely be back! read more

The staff and management is always so nice to my husband and I. They pretty much know our orders and carry out by heart. I appreciate the know us by name and prompt services no matter how busy the restaurant becomes. read more

This was our first visit. We went on a Saturday morning and it was crowded but we did not have to wait. Service was excellent. There were already water glasses and a carafe of water on the table for us as we sat down. I had the Rustic Fritatta with a side salad and a piece of ciabatta bread. The fritatta was nicely done. My husband had the salmon fritatta which he also enjoyed. The green salad was nicely and lightly dressed. The ciabatta bread was on the small side but still good. We will definitely be returning. read more

Definitely not the best place in town to grab brunch, but certainly not the worst. I've been to a few other locations of this restaurant and they all seem pretty much the same as far as quality goes. They have a couple new juices right now that are great! Try the Kale Tonic or the Pineapple Ginger flavor! As far as food goes, I'd recommend any of the hashes. However, I usually try to order off of the specials menu on the chalkboard because the regular menu does seem a bit short. My favorite thing about First Watch is their waiting line system. They text you when you're party is ready to be seated, and you can even download the app that it is powered by to see how many people are in front of you in line. Makes for some less painful waiting on weekend mornings! read more

Great service and quality food with quality ingredients. I love my omelettes. The Chili Chorizo omelette is really good.

The line for brunch was long and the waiting area small but we heard good things and the menu looked worth it. Eventually we were seated ( 30 minute wait ) and our order was quickly taken. Floridian French Toast for her, Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast for me. First thing to the table was hot maple syrup, I already love this place. The French toast was loaded with fresh bananas kiwi and strawberries. The pumpkin pancake tasted like Fall and was big and fluffy. My over easy eggs were perfect and apple chicken sausage finished off the played nicely. Our only issue was the bacon was more buffet bacon than real and my chocolate milk was a little weak. If that is my only complaint then you know this place is good to go. Great food, good service, excellent meal. read more

Such a disappointment, have been to several other first watch locations that have always been excellent. This one left much to desire, for the original wait being three times the estimated time, to the aloof and rude hostess, to the waitress that was never around and struggled to bring the correct items. The food is good as always but I would go to every other first watch in the area if the city before I would even consider coming back to this one. Skip this and go to the other one on 86th street and save yourself the headache. read more

This has become my favorite breakfast/brunch spot. My first visit to First Watch was in Atlanta, GA. I was elated to see that there was a location here in Indy. It should be called Fresh Watch because their ingredients are always so fresh. My favorite menu item is the avocado, bacon and tomato hash. It's absolutely delish! Eggs cooked to order, bacon, avocados, tomatoes and potatoes in a bowl. It's served with an English muffin and fresh fruit. Sometimes if I'm in the mood for pancakes, I will indulge in a pancake bigger than my head!! I love the blueberry and banana nut multigrain pancakes. The blueberry pancakes are made with big, juicy blueberries and compote served on the side. Even better, I signed up for their eClub and got a buy one get one free coupon to use and will get another coupon on my birthday next month! Yesssss! read more

This is my second time I've been here for breakfast. The first time didn't really blow my socks off. This time was different! Had the Trifecta - two eggs, bacon, and a choice of pancakes. I had the bacon-cheddar pancakes, very good, and very different. Been here for lunch also, and it was great. Would gladly recommend a visit to here. read more

I absolutely love breakfast foods! And with that, it's always a nice morning treat to check out a new breakfast/brunch spot. I brought my sister to First Watch not too long ago and we were both quite hungry. We opted for the fresh squeezed orange juice (delightful) and the "scrambled eggs, bacon, pancake/french toast" option. It was the perfect sampling of all things delicious - and believe me, we were stuffed by the end of our visit. As we stumbled out the doors with grins on our faces, we were both pleased we chose the brunch option that day. read more

Delicious and plenty of healthy options and combos. It is nice to go to a place that curves healthy so any/most choices are guilt free. Plus healthy specialty juices like a kale tonic or orange, ginger, and turmeric drink to start your day. Basically if you want to be healthy-ish but don't wanna cook or buy this stuff for home this place is a nice option. read more

The breakfast here is always right on! They are smart enough to give you your own pot of coffee so that they don't have to spend most of their time refilling your cup. There is a huge variety of choices so that even vegetarians can have a good breakfast. I really like the granola energy bowl. It's filling and has a lot of their in-house granola with fresh fruit and yogurt. They have fresh juices on the menu and the bacon is always perfect. The service is good. For a chain restaurant, the facilities are clean and consistent. Highly recommended! read more

This place is awesome! My family and I had a reservation at a separate restaurant in the area. Fortunately that reservation fell through and at the last minute all 15 of us piled into First Watch. We were hangry since many of us either hadn't eaten at all or since the wee hours of the morning. Even though there were 15 we were immediately sat and taken care of. The young blonde girl who took care of us was the best! I wish I knew her name because she deserves the recognition. She was quick and pleasant. Our drinks were never empty, she even went around at the end of our meal and OFFERED to go drinks. She was also super sweet, amazing, and accommodating to the children in our group. Now the food.... OH MY GOSH THE FOOD! By far the best brunch I have EVER had! I had the advocado toast, the best btw! You could tell that all of the ingredients were so fresh! Put so well together, so filling, so amazing. I don't think there was a single complaint from the 15 of us. My sister and I kept talking about the toast! We ended up talking to our server about what kind of bread they use. That amazing girl then told us they sell the bread there as well! Our party bought 3 loaves. Now unfortunately I will not be returning as soon as I would like but that is because I live out of town. However I already have plans to return to eat at First Watch the next time I'm in town. read more

Brunch is always that one food that I LOVE spending money on and this place is worth every affordable penny! They have a small space, but they fit you in and there is rarely a wait. I enjoy sitting in the booth by the kitchen and you can watch as all the mouth watering food passes you in a blur so you can start thinking about what else to try on your next visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and this location is conveniently by the Fashion Mall and a lot of other shopping options. For the food- it is all so so so satisfying! I love that hey put the calorie counts next to each menu item and that none of their option are over the top when it comes to calories. It helps you make an informed decision and yes sometimes you are gonna go for the high calorie French toast because hangovers exist, but for the days when deciding between the egg white veggie omelet and a breakfast sandwich, your decision can be swayed by your health choices. All in all everything tastes fresh and has a fun unique twist on the average American brunch. They have a seasonal menu with a lot of tempting fall treats as well as fresh juices. The only reason the last star is missing is due to the pace of service. It seems that they move at a very laid back pace, which is sometimes nice, but they do this even during lunch. Definitely a must try! read more

Was in the city for Gen Con this week, and 3 of my friends and I were looking for breakfast this past Friday morning in the city core. One of my fellow RPG enthusiasts googled local breakfast places, and we ended up at First Watch. Even at 9 a.m. on the Friday morning of Gen Con, we were able to get patio seating, and the staff was courteous, prompt and efficient. The menu was awesome, with all sorts of interesting signature dishes. I had one of their skillets, with avocado, bacon, and tomatoes. Delicious. Finally, I just wanted to give special mention to how good my server was. When I asked if I could get a to-go cup for my coffee, she not only brought one for me, but gave it to me full and hot of additional caffeinated goodness! I would definitely come back here for future conventions, and recommend this place to anyone staying in downtown Indy for business. read more

Every single time I come here I leave feeling so impressed. It's hands down one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in town! Sweeeeet! I found another place for brunch. I have to thank mom for this one. I usually pick out places to try, but she insisted on going here. Glad she has good taste. I had the Floridian French Toast. It's Sourdough French toast with wheat germ and powdered cinnamon sugar, covered with fresh banana, kiwi and berries. Served with a blueberry compote. Outstanding!!! Everything is fresh and the service is good too. I will definitely return. read more

New breakfast fave. Convenient across from Keystone Xing, the meals are fresh & filling. The kitchen he been pretty fast, too! Very kind staff from the hosts to the servers, which is refreshing considering the trend of "too cool to be nice" service we are seeing in other 'trendy' cafes. Moving on...I have had the Market Hash twice (crimini mushrooms & goat cheese, yes please!). Anddddd, the carrot cake pancake...had to. Will HAVE to again soon! Can't wait! read more

First Watch is our go to place for all things brunch. Pleasant servers and friendly people at the community table.

I found out about First Watch when I was looking for a place to hold my monthly women's group meetings. I was able to make reservations for us. But when I arrived I was overwhelmed by how crowded this place is on a Saturday morning around 11am. We had to wait to be seated about 20 minutes. But once at our table the service was great! The food was delicious. The atmosphere is quite nice for the small restaurant and once the crowd moves out you can really take it all in. Parking is a headache at times when they are super busy because they are located in a plaza. We love having our meetups here, as we like the food and the ambiance of this place, plus the service is outstanding. However, the crowdedness is a bit much. If you don't mind the wait First Watch is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or an early lunch. read more

If you're looking for a health fix, First Watch is the place to go. Even though it was packed, the staff was extremely accomodating and our wait wasn't nearly as long as I thought it'd be. I ordered the power wrap with fresh fruit and bacon. Filled with egg, mushroom, and spinach, the power bar was true to its name and I felt energized and satisfyingly full (even though I could only finish 1/2 of the wrap since it was so filling). We also tried the kale juice which was surprising good. This is a great hotspot for someone looking for a casual family brunch with high quality food and a friendly staff. read more

Have eaten here many times. We love the Trifecta with eggs, choice of meat and pancake or waffle. However, this time I ordered the Healthy crepe with fruit, granola and muffin. The coffee is great. Server was friendly and food came on time. The crepe was good and full of very fresh fruit. However the yoghurt topping was very pink and very cold, supermarket yoghurt. The granola was not sure if it was topping or cereal size. Came in a little souffle cup and was about 1/4 cup or less. No milk in sight. Too little yoghurt on the crepe to use to moisten the granola. Good flavor but dry. The blueberry muffin was very cold and totally sticky. Either right out of refrigerator or wrapped while hot and put in cooler. I have never been served a cold muffin (no butter in sight). Suggested they visit Perkins to see how to serve a muffin. I took it home and microwaved it. It fell apart and it tasted like a packaged mix without any fresh blueberries in evidence. I contacted the company and they said the cold muffin was SOP (standard operating procedure?) but must have been covered while too warm. They suggested I should have asked for the muffing to be warmed up. DUH. The yoghurt was Stoneyfield. No comment from them on any of my other issues. My husband had one of the crepe with egg choices that had a sauce on top that he said was too lemony tasting. I would go back again because I love the Trifecta but other items not as successful. read more
