Reluctantly came for breakfast after seeing some bad reviews. Walked in to a full staff and a nearly empty restaurant. The staff was in the back of the house chatting. There was a lot of them. Yeah so I started out annoyed that nobody is there to greet us or seat us. Bad look! After a minute or so someone came running and apologized so I appreciate the hustle and the acknowledgment. My wife got a basic breakfast and I got the chimichurri steak and eggs hash. I wasn't expecting much. Moved to Hamilton County in January and have yet to find that go-to breakfast place that curls your toes. We dine out A LOT. We have a few we like but this breakfast was amazing. A very well put together dish balanced perfectly with steak, eggs and potatoes. The potatoes were properly cooked. The sauce complimented to food so well. It's a nice place that's clean and modern. Good atmosphere. Friendly service. Food was hot and my wife really liked her food. I was just underwhelmed. None of the workers knew why it was called first watch. It's a nautical term that means first shift of the day! and now you know! They bring out waffles and pancakes and no syrup. We had to find somebody to bring it out? So our food was just getting extra cold while we waited. Our waiter was OK. He got a 18% tip for me. I can't wrap my head around why food can't come out hot? No one wants cold eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast. The butter didn't even melt. I didn't even bother to use it. Treated my daughter to a lunch out so decided here. Good choice. Lots of good choices so before we made up our mind we did start with some delicious drinks. She ordered the Pineapple Express and I ordered the morning meditation. Both drinks were great! Ramaya (hope I spelled her name correctly my apologies if I didn't) was a great waitress. She gave us some tine to look over the menu. My daughter ordered the half sandwich and cup of soup. She got the turkey club and broccoli cheese. The soup was ok she said it tasted like canned soup so she wasn't really sure about it. I thought the same after trying it. The sandwich was good. I ordered the farmhouse hash. It was delicious. 1st and last time. Ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. Asked for them crispy... weren't even cooked. Sent them back, they combined mine & my friends on 1 plate & 17 mins later come back with the same ones just super burnt on 1 side only. I asked if there was another side nope just sliced tomato. So didn't eat half my meal. Manager came out and said no chefs or dishwashers showed up today so 2 managers are cooking... which was gross. Wouldn't go for $17-20 meal read more

Boy, was this place busy the Saturday after Valentine's Day! Thankfully, we had checked in online ahead of time before heading over. We only had a brief wait before being seated, and our waitress greeted us right away. She took our order fairly quickly, but the food took forever to arrive. I checked the time from when I received the "your table is ready" text to when our food was served--it was a full 50 minutes. Fortunately, the food was good. My biscuit and gravy was a bit cold, but my husband said his food was fine and I loved my superfoods bowl! I'm hoping the slow service was just a fluke due to the holiday weekend. Service was great - as expected - at this new location in Noblesville. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. This location has a waiting room which I had not seen at other locations around here. Very comfortable there. The restaurant has non ceiling tiles so a little bit on the noisy side. If you wear a hearing aid I would not recommend coming during the busy hours due to noise. Food was great as usual. They use all organic ingredients and everything is cooked properly. Plating is also very well done. I would recommend this place for a breakfast place with a more upscale feel but decent prices. This is definitely an upscale breakfast spot--so bring your wallet! I ordered the French toast, which was just okay and didn't come with any sides. My boyfriend had the traditional breakfast, which was much better, especially the pork sausage links--they were excellent. The real standout, though, was the single serving of biscuits and gravy--absolutely delicious. The place itself is cute, and I noticed some fancy-looking drinks at other tables, though I didn't try any myself. Overall, a nice spot, but a bit pricey for what you get. read more

The food was fantastic. The service was fantastic. The setting was busy and bustling but comfortable. We had anticipated a wait on this Saturday so had put our name in online but, once inside, we were seated right away. We really appreciated having our own carafe of water, as we are both thirsty camels and our own carafe of coffee to get our caffeine fix. I've never understood why more restaurants don't do this?! This is so efficient for your servers and eliminates complaints about refills. Anyway, we both agreed that we would re-order our meals, although I would most definitely want to try something new. They seem to have seasonal plates and drinks that are available for a limited time. These are listed on a big chalkboard in the center of the restaurant. Absolutely loved First Watch the first 2 times we had breakfast there. Today, 30 JAN, I was disappointed. I've had the hot cocoa twice before which tasted wonderful and seemed to be made with milk. Today, it tasted like Swiss Miss made at home with water. Didn't say anything to server as he was great but husband mentioned it to cashier who said she didn't know anything was wrong. I ordered the turkey sausage biscuits and gravy. The gravy appeared to be the color and consistency of gravy you pour over Thanksgiving turkey. Not cream gravy traditionally served with biscuits. I mentioned to the server I had never seen biscuits and gravy look like that and asked if it was made with milk. He said that was how they always made it. Never having had it before, I said I'd give it a go. Maybe that was their thing. It wasn't until I looked at pictures other Yelp First Watch diners had taken of cream colored gravy served at First Watch that I realized it wasn't right. (Wish I'd taken a picture.) The biscuit and eggs were great. But I honestly didn't finish my cocoa or meal. The remainder came home uneaten. If they were out of milk or cream for cocoa and gravy, I wish they'd said something and I would have asked for something else. The food was good. I would only suggest to add more salmon inside the frittata. It was good, just had a hard time tasting the salmon as it was a small piece in the middle. I also think my moms meal should of had toasted bread and not just plain bread. She said it was good also, was just needing for her bread to be toasted. I've had two very good experiences at First Watch in Reston, VA, but unfortunately, the Noblesville, IN location didn't measure up. A quick look at recent reviews shows a pattern of disengaged staff and inconsistent service. While our server was friendly, they lacked basic restaurant hygiene and etiquette -- for example, handling glassware by the rims and not clearing plates during the meal. Additionally, the ladies' room was noticeably dirty. The floor and baseboards had visible hair and dirt, suggesting it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in several days. This location clearly needs better oversight and attention to cleanliness and service standards. read more

We've been to the new Noblesville location 3 times now. Breakfast tacos and million dollar potatoes are good. Sadly though 2/3 visits service was horrible. (Our 2nd visit was the only time we had a great server!) Zero drinks or orders taken for a long time, zero refills, & food but no silverware twice now (had to go ask another server For some as ours disappeared and they seemed annoyed that we asked). This last visit a few weeks ago we had brick hard bacon to the point our son wouldn't touch his and we couldn't eat our million dollar potatoes because it was sooo burnt the pcs were black. And the check in online is a joke. Says 30 mins only to arrive and be told another 30 which also wasn't true and much longer. This has happened almost every visit. (Also. Please change to regular sugar on the table for coffee. The one offered is horrible) Edited to add: emailed as asked to by the business and with zero response fyi. So apparently these responses to all the numerous complaints are generic as they don't truly address them. read more

I signed at first watch, however, heard it was very good. I ordered my meal, and a friendly young man delivered my food, telling me how much he loved my style . His eyes were full of warmth, and his smile was infectious. I promptly thanked him and told him that made my day when I went to get my check., A manager approached and told me that Vaughn had bought my lunch! Came here today for my wife's birthday brunch. It was fairly quiet around 9:30 in the morning. I like their menus but I'm not a big breakfast person so I look forward to their interesting seasonal meals. My favorite ones from the past included the Korean flavored dishes. The dish I had today was heavy on potato cubes that were only cooked on one side and they really weren't fully cooked. I guess I'm disappointed because I asked for well done crispy potatoes, so they didn't care what I wanted. I might come back but it's not on the top of my list to return to. First time ever in a First Watch. For a breakfast place, great scrambled eggs. Excellent grits. I had the sausage patties which were a bit odd tasting to me. I talked to a guy there who said, "Yep. You want the links if you are after country sausage." So, next time I'll have those. My wife said her hot cocoa was great. Her pancakes were very good, and the bacon was nice and crispy. Very nice place to meet others for sure. A bit on the pricey side for breakfast spots. I'll say one thing that needs improvement...the coffee and cream.
