I love First Watch and have dined at this location several times ( I was surprised I haven't reviewed it yet). The staff is always so friendly and food is always good I'm still giving it 4 stars because maybe I hit them on a busy day.... I had brunch with a friend yesterday and I was disappointed at the lack of social distancing by other patrons. There was a bit of a wait and people were just hanging out in the lobby - people were waiting for tables, some people were paying their bills and others were leaving. It was cluster and people were close enough to bump into each other. It's like no one was aware of the pandemic! I've been out to enough restaurants during the pandemic to know that this can be controlled a bit and I hope management can make some adjustments to keep the crowd down in the future. Maybe have people wait outside or in their cars and text when ready or when it's busy have the server take the bill so people aren't standing in line to pay at the front. I still love your avocado toast but it's not worth the risk - I'll be back but maybe when it's warmer so I can sit outside again or after I'm vaccinated. read more

A favorite in Indy when we are in need of a hearty breakfast or quick lunch. Ingredients are always fresh and service is great. Staff is really friendly. Everyone greets you. The atmosphere is well lighted with big windows, comfy seating spots, and open considering the place isn't very big. I usually order the Eggs Benedict - either smoked salmon or Florentine, sometimes combining the two. Lunch is perfect portion-wise whether you want less with the soup, salad, sandwich combo or more with the full size options. Big fan of bacon? Get the millionaires bacon... sweet and savory! Love the refreshing tonics... favorite is the kale tonic especially after a night of drinking. Also, tend to take a few of their chocolate mints at the register before I leave. Haha Want fast, friendly, quality food... this is the place to be. read more

Wow what has happened to this place? I used to visit here almost wieekly, and the food and service were consistently excellent. I had to go away for business for a month, but I returned here today. I did not recognize a single staff member!! I waited 10 minutes to be seated (just me)., yet it was not very busy. That should have been my clue that things here are not the same as they used to be. Once finally seated, I waited another 15 minutes to see a server who at least delivered me coffee. I placed my order, but then I waited 30 minutes and never saw the server again. Because I needed to go to an appointment, I put $3 on the table and left. I'll never return to this First Watch location, and I wonder where all the staff who was there in the past have gone. For example, friendly and efficient David was nowhere to be seen.Talk about a landslide deterioration! read more

First Watch is one of those chains that was completely off my radar for quite some time. One day, I was on the Northwestside of Indy with a hankerin' (What is a hankerin' anyway?) for something new, when I spied a "First Watch" location and stopped in. I enjoyed it, but being out of the way it has never become a regular spot for me. I'm not sure when this Nora/Keystone location opened up, but judging by the 79 reviews before me I'm guessing I've been out of the loop again for awhile. The first First Watch opened in 1983, a significant year in my life for reasons I won't disclose since they would indicate the fact I'm getting old. When opened, the whole "breakfast/lunch" concept for restaurants was pretty much unheard of and, not surprisingly, they grew. They are now a national chain and still open between the hours of 7am - 2:30pm. This location is located in the strip center across from Keystone at the Crossing. It also houses multiple other businesses. I for the life of me can't remember what it was before First Watch, but this has never been a strip center I've frequented. First Watch has a fairly wide selection of breakfast/lunch options and not too long ago got into the fresh juices arena the recruiting of Shane Schaibly as Director of Culinary and Corporate Chef. There are certain chains that are marked by consistency - for example, McDonald's is always going to suck. It doesn't matter which McDonald's you go to - it sucks. First Watch, on the other hand, leans toward fresh, healthier fare with warm customer service and a comfortable atmosphere. While I've only had a few meals at First Watch, they've all been good and I'm not sure they've ever dipped down into "I won't try that again." That said, I also don't think I've ever been completely blown away by their food. It's simply good food that is fairly priced and served by friendly people. I love that they have free Wifi, complimentary newspapers and are at your table with a pot of coffee when you arrive. In this location, they have two accessible parking spots out front near their front entrance - they are ADA compliant, though probably on the lesser end of ADA. The front door is pretty workable - you enter and are immediately at a host area - to the left is the dining area and they do offer limited outdoor dining. They offer both tables and booths along with a set of high-top tables off to one side. The layout is wheelchair friendly and I found it refreshing that I wasn't slammed at the first available accessible table as usually happens. My server was Zoe. Zoe rocks. Zoe was friendly, helpful, on the spot with refills, and didn't flinch when I lingered a bit - even getting me an iced tea to go. Have I mentioned that Zoe rocked it? I ordered French Toast, which you can get with raisin bread or cinnamon bread. I opted for cinnamon bread. It was served up with 3 slices that were plentiful, but not overly decadent. It doesn't come with sides, though they do have the usual side options. At just over $10, I left feeling pretty darn happy. The food was probably a 4 for me - quite good, but simply not at 5-star level. The atmosphere was comfortable and allowed me to do my usual reading with the meal. Zoe was definitely a joy - as a person who lives alone and doesn't have family around, I always aspire to find those places that feel welcoming. Zoe definitely rocked the welcoming presence. If I could, I'd probably lean toward 4.5 stars, but I can't quite call this a 5-star experience yet. So, I'll acknowledge that this was a terrific experience and I'll definitely be back. read more

I first discovered first watch in Florida and would always go there when I was on vacation! And Shazam! we now have them in Indy! I have been countless times and always get consistent yummy food and good service. First Watch is perfect for breakfast and lunch with a fabulous selection. On this visit I went for one of their seasonal selections The Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast! Now I do have to admit Fall is my favorite season with Winter not too far behind so the mere mention of pumpkin has my heart a flutter. This breakfast included two fresh cage-free eggs cooked any style plus one of our signature spiced Pumpkin Pancakes and Aidells grilled all-natural Chicken & Apple Sausage. The sausage was yummy and fully of flavor! But the pancake was the best ever! I ate it warm and steaming in all its fluffy goodness with only a mere smear of butter. No syrup wanted! read more

This has been my breastfast place of choice all of my pregnancy and COVID. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. We literally eat here weekly. The service is great. What a great place to start the day! We got here at 7am for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was well staffed and our waitress was extremely attentive. I tried their Asian Pork Belly bowl for breakfast and my husband got the skillet. The Asian bowl very authentic. Loved the pickled carrot and dikon. The pork belly was cooked perfectly! It had a good balance of carmelized sauce to it. I was definitely in heaven. I will definitely come back and get this dish again! The ambiance to the restaurant was modern farm house. I loved that it had such an inviting feeling to it. I'm a huge fan and cannot wait to try their other items (like carrot pancake...). read more

The food is very high quality, the service is good, and I love the waitlist feature for busy times. I am not a fan of the new decor and booths, but I still very much enjoy the menu. Even though they are pricey, every so often try one of their fancy juices. They are worth it. read more

This is an OK breakfast place. Kind of pricey for standard eggs/sausage/bacon/hash browns/pancakes. I think it's trying to act fancier than it actually is. read more

Amazing! Had the BLT Benedict and coffee. Great flavor and the perfect amount and better than the menu description. The greens were lightly coated with the dressing and better than expected. Service was just right as well. All well worth the price of the meal. Was there early and was seated immediately. read more

I've been to first watch back home which have been pretty good. This place, was pretty busy. The service was good and friendly. When our food came it, it looked good quality but my over medium eggs were not even over easy. They were a pool of liquified snotty white and yolk; inedible. My daughters avocado toast had a long black hair on it. They replaced our meals and didn't charge us (I didn't ask for free food). I noticed that all the people in our table that ordered fried eggs all were way undercooked and they barely touched them. They need to retrain in cooking eggs especially in the morning rush. read more

First Watch isn't your typical greasy-spoon type of breakfast place. Cozy, colorful, and inviting. I treated my mom and my pre-grad self on Mother's Day for a morning treat. I ordered off the seasonal specials chalkboard - lemon ricotta pancakes. As a girl would describe it, they were "CUTE"-looking, adorned with strawberries, a large dollop of lemon curd, and sprinkle of fresh mint. Let me tell you, they were fluffy and scrumptious. It'd be nice if it came with a savory side with no additional charge. I also had some of the Killer Cajun omelet served with a crispy English muffin and seasoned potatoes. The Santa Fe sauce on the side really spiced it. I dunked practically everything on my plate into that ramekin. Price was on par considering the quality and fresh ingredients. While I'm not big on waking up early, I will definitely return to try something else off the menu! My mom even left with a mini-box of complimentary Russel-Stover's chocolate for Mother's Day. Father's Day they're handing out a mini-jar of maple syrup. It's the nice touches to make you feel special. read more

My third time here (one time being the Tampa, Florida location) and I can honestly say this is my favorite brunch restaurant of all time! I generally get one of the awesome varieties of pancakes but this time I ordered the fresh fruit crepes which came with granola and the muffin of the day, a chocolate muffin. It was all phenomenal! My husband got the bacon & avocado hash, his favorite. One friend got a loaded omelette and another friend got the three pigs mac and cheese special. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. One friend got the hot chocolate which is to die for! Some people say this place is pricey but for me and my husband's meals and two coffees, our check was $23 which I think is incredibly reasonable considering the quality and healthiness of the food. I can't recommend First Watch enough! Whenever we're in town visiting friends, a visit here is a must! read more

The food is so good always. Never had a bad meal. It is helpful to make a reservation ahead of time because they can get busy

I love the fact that you can put your name on the waitlist and the food is usually pretty good. I think first watch can be a little pricey for what you get, and the service can be kind of spotty. I went recently and we never received any check-back or service after our food was delivered, but normally I get excellent service. Their million dollar bacon is a must have! read more

I loved the food here!! I got the biscuits and gravy with potatoes on the side. Yummmm, excellent! My boyfriend got the BLTE sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. The colors were beautiful on it! This was my 1st visit to First Watch. I had heard a couple of people talk about it so I figured I'd give it a try. I really like the place. The food is good, I had the 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad (beefeater/pecan dijon). As so often, it was the staff that really made the difference. My server was Lisa S. and she was great! Very friendly & personable, kept my drink filled & was there when I needed, but didn't hover. I'll definitely be back. read more

I was on the northeast side of town for a job interview and wanted something inexpensive, so Yelp recommended First Watch to me as it was closeby. When I went (June 18th, 2013), there was construction outside the front door and I had to ask a construction worker how to get in, but all the better to maintain a nice outward appearance. The inside has a diner feel to it, with breakfast and lunch items on the menu. I ordered a coffee, which came in a nice carafe-- I was only expecting one cup. For lunch I had their pick two of three menu (I forget what its actual name is) and had the tomato basil soup with half a grilled ham and cheese sandwich-- both very nice. I knocked off one star because I think service could have been a little better. read more

I have done many First Watch locations, but this one had by far the best food. Same menu, but the cook here knew what they were doing n the kitchen.
