Wow - this place was BUSY on a Friday night! Kelly was our server and she was a gem. That woman was running around like crazy. Love the drink specials and the housemade blackbean burger. We don't mess around with the impossible burgers you can just buy at a grocery store- so they scored points in my book! Also loved the Unicorn Tears cocktail. We could not find a parking spot on a Friday night and there must have been a big party because service was slow. Daredevil Hall has been a mixed experience for me so far. I have only been a couple of times, and on both visits the food was just okay--not bad, but definitely not memorable. The chili cheese fries felt like they needed salt or seasoning or something to bring them to life, the pork tenderloin was too thin and dry, and the cheese pizza honestly came across closer to frozen pizza quality than something I would go back for specifically. That said, the staff have been very friendly every time, and the space does seem like it would be a better fit with a group, especially with the fun table seating. I have only had a couple of visits, so I am open to changing my mind and updating this review later. read more

Stopped in here for lunch while I was in town. It's connected to the Ironworks Hotel which was great so I didn't have to drive or anything. This place has such a good vibe. Hannah was my server and did an amazing job. I ordered hop water and their smashburger with fries. The burger was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly with a nice sauce and had a lot of good flavors. The fries are great and tasted homemade which is always a plus. This is a great place to go if you're in the area. I almost went back again for lunch the next day which is how good it is. read more

Stopped by because we remembered the pizza. It did not disappoint! They were short staffed so we sat at the bar. Great service and delicious pizza. The supreme tavern style was delicious. We decided to eat here before heading downtown for a Pacers game. This place was busy when we arrived but still plenty of tables available. The staff here were great. Greeted us right away and it didn't take long to get our food. I did want to order a flight but they don't offer them during the weekend. I tried their Lift Off IPA which was just on. My son ordered their Smash Burger. And I ordered their fried pork tenderloin sandwich. They both came with fried which were really good. My son's smash burger was also good. But my pork tenderloin sandwich was one of the best I've had. A little bit thicker than most, it was very tender and seasoned perfectly. Almost like a counter fried seasoning. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in this part of Indy and will definitely be ordering this pork tenderloins sandwich again. read more

This place has changed since the last time I was here. Gone is the German fare. Now it's a smashburger (and pizza) place. They have some killer happy hour specials ($5 burgers before 5 PM on weekdays, $5 cheese pizzas on Wednesdays, etc.). Beers are still the standard Daredevil selection from the Speedway brewery. I was very intrigued by the veggie pizza here, so we got it delivered. The pizza was nice and thin, and the toppings were loaded. The key to this pizza tasting amazing were the sliced pepperoncini's! They cut the richness of the cheese and pizza so well! They were sliced small enough that it wasn't too spicy or sour. We also got their brussel sprouts, which is soo good! The portion size was also very good, and the taste was even better!! Lastly, we got an order of fries, and they just hit the spot! I've passed by this place way too many times! Finally decided to give it ago and check out the hype! We immediately got seated! Win! I don't know if the word "devil" scared church people away, but not having a wait on a Sunday was heavenly! The waiter was super nice and at least knew his way around the menu, but he was new and wasn't super privy to the food itself. I went with the "PB & JB Smash". Pickled jalapeño, bacon, cheddar, and crunchy peanut butter. The jalapeños brought a very nice smokiness and heat to this burger...I love heat so it was right up my alley, but if you can't handle the burn this isn't the one for you. The crunchy peanut butter brought a nice texture and wasn't overly sweet. In fact the only thing I think would've taken this burger over the top would've been a pepper jelly. I also got the fries which would definitely a solid side, but the wings with the homemade blue cheese were BOMB!!! The server is quick and responsive despite the large group. So I ordered the veggie pizza and a side of Brussel sprouts salad. The pizza is pretty good but they did put a TON of garlic in it. Like huge garlic pieces. There must be at least 20 of them in my personal sized pizza. I also did order one without garlic as the topping. Anyways, we're all eating so I didn't want to switch it, and just take it all out. The Brussel sprouts salad is super oily. Taste is good, but way too oily. Can definitely deserve another visit. When we first walked in, we were immediately greeted and told we could sit anywhere. We picked a booth that was against one of the walls and sat down. It was only slightly busy but not so much to make it too noisy. There were TVs on the wall, one of the ones facing me had a movie that was stuck on one scene and didn't continue; it bothered me a little bit. The other TVs were playing sports games. Our server came out, unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was really nice and friendly. I ordered a Diet Coke and my wife ordered one of their beers. I then ordered the avocado smash that had garlic aioli, spicy ranch, avocado, chopped onions, two dill pickle chips, and chopped tomato. Since I had a choice of protein and bun type, I chose chicken breast for the protein and lettuce for the bun type. I had a cup of chili for my side. My wife ordered a personal pizza with bacon and mushrooms and the daredevil chopped salad as a side with blue cheese dressing instead of the ranch that comes with it. Her salad and my chili came out first. She really enjoyed her salad with a nice crunch, tasty toppings and a tangy dressing. I enjoyed my chili in which I put a small package of oyster crackers they provided. The chili also had a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top. The chili was nice and hot, which was perfect for a slightly cold rainy wet day. It had a nice spicy taste to it and was chunky with meat, beans, and tomatoes. Her pizza came out looking wonderful with toppings covering the pizza and lots of melted mozzarella. My sandwich came out looking not quite what I thought it would look like. The garlic aioli and spicy ranch were in small cups on the side, there were around three romaine lettuce leaves, one big on one bottom and a medium and small one on top. Inside he the chopped onion, chopped tomato, and two dill pickle chips on one end of the sandwich. 4-5 small avocado slices on the other end, and the grilled chicken breast in the middle. I lifted the two top leaves and spread the garlic aioli on the underside of them, then I poured some of the spicy ranch on the ingredients on the inside. I wasn't able to pick it up like a sandwich despite my best efforts, so I had to resort to eating it with a knife and fork. The chicken breast was nice, tender, and juicy. The garlic aioli and spicy ranch mixed well together with the other ingredients. The overall flavor of it was good, I just wish they would have made it in such a way that I could have picked it up. It ended up still being a bit messy even eating it the way I did. My wife ate half her pizza and while she boxed up the rest to eat later, I went to the bathroom. While I can say that the restaurant and bathroom were both fairly clean, including our seats and table, the bathroom stall was cramped and I worried about bumping my head in the stall door. All in all, not a bad visit, it was better than the last time I ate there several years ago when I had a substandard burger. I just wish my sandwich had been easier and less messy to eat. read more

Daredevil Hall is located in the Iron Works area, next to the hotel. With that being said, this is a very popular area, and parking can be pretty full. They have a bar, as well as a dinning space. I didn't try any beer today, but they had a large list. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, pretzel and cheese pizza. Everything was delicious, and I'd come back just for the food. They have a lot of weekly specials too, including the cheese pizza on sale on Tuesdays. I really liked the tavern style pizza as it wasn't greasy and the crust was crispy. Flawed gem. Food/beer/staff is great. The building interior and infrastructure is not maintained. It's become clear the owners do not invest in upkeep. The patio doors have been broken for 3+ years and now have dish towels taped to them with painters tape. We have been here countless times, including weeks where the AC was completely broken in the summer for weeks (on 90+ degree days) and heat broken in the winter for equally long periods of time. The staff always does a great job covering for the things out of their control, and the beer, food is fantastic. Sad to see what was a great spot fall into tired shape, especially given the upscale business surrounding that are outpacing DD. read more

We came to Daredevil for dinner. We were told to pick a seat anywhere. The waiter was great and took our drink orders. They don't have sweet tea so the kids decided on root beers. Hubby and I got a flight. We choose Vacay, Winter Fire, Brock and Vienna. All were very good. Our favorite by far was the Winter Fire!!! Most excellent bar food! The breadsticks and service are 5 star! I got the $5 lunch cheese pizza, very crispy crust, yum. My sister got the small chopped salad, tasty, but needs to be served in a larger bowl so she could've mixed it all up. Mom got the 1/2 chopped and 1/2 fries, she used her basket to mix her salad. Only drawback was it was on paper, but she ate it fast enough not to cause an issue. Very nice atmosphere, you really can't go wrong at ironworks. I had the Unicorn Tears drink, tart and tasty. Got the chance to visit Daredevil Hall with my girl gang last evening and we had a swell time! It is a really fun space at the end of the Ironworks row shared with Rize and Blue Sake Sushi. As a veg*an, there was very little here I could eat unless I went with a salad and stripped it down to just lettuce and a few toppings or maybe made my own pizza. The beer list was fun and the service was good. I got the hot pretzels to share with the table, and $15 for 2 meh, chewy pretzels and cold beer cheese seemed a bit high to me (get off my lawn!), but oh well. Sampled a friend's crispy Brussels, and they were pretty good. The other gals seemed happy with their Chop and Fries options. The fried dough things at the end were my favorite part - they came 5 to an order (small) but that caramel to dip them in was FIRE. I could have swam in it. It took a hot minute to get our check at the end but in our server's defense he could have just been letting us have more time to visit. I stopped in here with a group of friends after having this place on a list of must tries and we were not disappointed. We were a group of 8 and a mixture of kids and adults. This is in a convenient location and was a perfect place for a weekend when going downtown seemed daunting. For starters we got pork rinds, pretzels, and Brussel sprouts. Even though all of these were shared I could have just eaten this and walked away happy, each of the items were standouts. I think my favorite were the Brussels they had mustard seeds and a balsamic glaze of sorts, they were really good. Entrees we all got a mixture of burgers and chicken. Everything was solid. I was a little disappointed that some of the things on their yelp page aren't offered any more but I'm guessing that is a result to scaling back a menu due to Covid. Oh and the drinks! This was my second time at Dare Devil and I enjoyed it as much as the 1st. Met a friend on a recent Saturday afternoon and was surprised how quiet it was. Nice for us! Staff is always friendly and willing to help with beer tastings if like me you can't decide. I went with the Winter Fire which is a Oak smoked Boch. Great on a fall day. For a meal I had the Da Vinci salad which was very fresh and a nice sized portion even at half size. My friend had the Buffalo chicken which looked awesome as the sauce was running over her hands.
