Stopped in here for lunch while I was in town. It's connected to the Ironworks Hotel which was great so I didn't have to drive or anything. This place has such a good vibe. Hannah was my server and did an amazing job. I ordered hop water and their smashburger with fries. The burger was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly with a nice sauce and had a lot of good flavors. The fries are great and tasted homemade which is always a plus. This is a great place to go if you're in the area. I almost went back again for lunch the next day which is how good it is.

Supreme pizza- tavern style.

Stopped by because we remembered the pizza. It did not disappoint! They were short staffed so we sat at the bar. Great service and delicious pizza. The supreme tavern style was delicious. It is a bit on the spicy side so beware, but the crust and toppings were delicious. We will have to remember to come back more often!

Pork tenderloin sandwich

We decided to eat here before heading downtown for a Pacers game. This place was busy when we arrived but still plenty of tables available. The staff here were great. Greeted us right away and it didn't take long to get our food. I did want to order a flight but they don't offer them during the weekend. I tried their Lift Off IPA which was just on. My son ordered their Smash Burger. And I ordered their fried pork tenderloin sandwich. They both came with fried which were really good. My son's smash burger was also good. But my pork tenderloin sandwich was one of the best I've had. A little bit thicker than most, it was very tender and seasoned perfectly. Almost like a counter fried seasoning. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in this part of Indy and will definitely be ordering this pork tenderloins sandwich again.

This place has changed since the last time I was here. Gone is the German fare. Now it's a smashburger (and pizza) place. They have some killer happy hour specials ($5 burgers before 5 PM on weekdays, $5 cheese pizzas on Wednesdays, etc.). Beers are still the standard Daredevil selection from the Speedway brewery. But they also have a large selection of guest beers on draft.

I was very intrigued by the veggie pizza here, so we got it delivered. The pizza was nice and thin, and the toppings were loaded. The key to this pizza tasting amazing were the sliced pepperoncini's! They cut the richness of the cheese and pizza so well! They were sliced small enough that it wasn't too spicy or sour. We also got their brussel sprouts, which is soo good! The portion size was also very good, and the taste was even better!! Lastly, we got an order of fries, and they just hit the spot! Despite us ordering right before they close, they still prepared everything like you ordered during regular hours. I will definitely order again from here!

I've passed by this place way too many times! Finally decided to give it ago and check out the hype! We immediately got seated! Win! I don't know if the word "devil" scared church people away, but not having a wait on a Sunday was heavenly! The waiter was super nice and at least knew his way around the menu, but he was new and wasn't super privy to the food itself. I went with the "PB & JB Smash". Pickled jalapeño, bacon, cheddar, and crunchy peanut butter. The jalapeños brought a very nice smokiness and heat to this burger...I love heat so it was right up my alley, but if you can't handle the burn this isn't the one for you. The crunchy peanut butter brought a nice texture and wasn't overly sweet. In fact the only thing I think would've taken this burger over the top would've been a pepper jelly. I also got the fries which would definitely a solid side, but the wings with the homemade blue cheese were BOMB!!! Add some onion rings with the spicy daredevil ranch and you're set to watch the game, hang with your boo, or dare to try a QUAD burger!

The server is quick and responsive despite the large group. So I ordered the veggie pizza and a side of Brussel sprouts salad. The pizza is pretty good but they did put a TON of garlic in it. Like huge garlic pieces. There must be at least 20 of them in my personal sized pizza. I also did order one without garlic as the topping. Anyways, we're all eating so I didn't want to switch it, and just take it all out. The Brussel sprouts salad is super oily. Taste is good, but way too oily. Can definitely deserve another visit. This one felt like they were off their stride maybe.

Smash burgers *Chefs kiss* Food was delicious and the drinks were good as well! I do wish they had more kid food options. But we were able to find things that worked!

Absolutely no notes. This place hits the spot every single time! Excellent pizza and excellent beer, what more could you want? You must get the lift off IPA, it's my favorite! They have indoor and outdoor seating that are both pretty spacious. Staff is always great! Great lunch deals that you can't beat on their handhelds too if pizza isn't what you're craving.

Daredevil Hall is located in the Iron Works area, next to the hotel. With that being said, this is a very popular area, and parking can be pretty full. They have a bar, as well as a dinning space. I didn't try any beer today, but they had a large list. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, pretzel and cheese pizza. Everything was delicious, and I'd come back just for the food. They have a lot of weekly specials too, including the cheese pizza on sale on Tuesdays. I really liked the tavern style pizza as it wasn't greasy and the crust was crispy. Service was great, Bonnie was our waitress and she did a wonderful job!

Good beer - check. Good food - check. Great staff - double check! My 3rd time to Daredevil Hall and have always enjoyed my visits. Burgers are pretty good, but I think I enjoy the tavern pizzas just as much. Friendly staff always checking on you, and their recommendations on their craft beer selections are usually on par. If you find yourself in the north side needing a beer and a meal, put them on your radar.

A few minutes later, fresh food arrived, and it was delicious! Our conversation quieted as we both became busy eating and enjoying our meal. As we ate, the Drake's team would stop by to remove unused plates. Our drinks were never too low, and the service was attentive but never intrusive. Jamal, on his first day, was there removing trash and used plates from the table. Amanda stopped by with drink refills, and I quickly realized the team at Drake's was operating like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was pitching in, smiling, sharing friendly conversation, and answering questions as they came up. At the end of the meal, we paid and tipped. On the way out, I spoke to the manager, Anyea, and shared my appreciation for the food, service, and positive energy her team had brought to our experience. I asked her what the team at Drake's wanted their community to know about their business. She responded that they specialize in beers, burgers, sushi, and fun. They want their customers to feel welcomed and have a great time. Kids are welcome at Drake's, and they take food preparation and food allergies very seriously. They have gluten-free options that are clearly marked, and their team is always ready to answer questions and create a great dining experience. We had a delicious meal, and we will be back soon! I ordered a crab Rangoon roll and California roll. While I thought the California roll was just average, the crab Rangoon roll was excellent! I would definitely order it again. From our booth near the bar we could see water dripping down from the ceiling onto the floor and a couple of other nearby booths. A few employees were cleaning up the water but I wondered what the source of the water was since it had not been raining. Service has always been good enough here. Not excellent, not poor, but good enough. I'll definitely stick with the sushi on my next visit.

That's kind of hard to find in the Castleton area on a Friday evening, but we headed to nearby Nora and landed at Taylor's and had a great time. The only downside is it was very noisy that evening, but we were also seated next to a large group at a long table, so that could've had something to do with it. It was still better than trying to talk over live music, which we deliberately avoided. Neither of us was super hungry, so my husband had the pretzel sticks, and I had the Choriqueso, a mixture of queso dip with chorizo, and tortilla chips to dip in it. Both were great. I love a restaurant that has a Manhattan on its standard cocktail menu, which Taylors does, so I was thrilled. My husband had a red ale, which he said was also very good. Our waitress, Corinne, was definitely a big part of the equation. She was fabulous. I asked her for a recommendation for what to eat, and she didn't disappoint. But I also have a couple more things I want to try the next time we're back! We are looking forward to it already!

The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. For my platter, I wish I had requested a different prep for my fish or shrimp if possible as it was a lot of fried/breaded options along with the hushpuppies and fries. They were good, but it was a lot of similar note, which made the etoufee stand out. Based on price point, probably will still frequent Yats to get our cajun/creole fix.
