It took me longer than I would have liked but I finally made my way over to Voodoo Brewing. It is a little off the path I have beaten over the last two decades to my favorite watering holes in Fishers, but it is worth the trailblazing! The layout is impressive and the décor eclectic. My son and I bellied up to the bar and a knowledgeable and energetic bartender named Colin assisted us. Lots of choices on the menu, from your standard bar fare to the more adventurous, like the Chorizo & Lime Mussels. I ordered the Frisco Melt, my son the Root Beer Bacon Jam Burger. We opted for the house chips instead of the upgrade to house fries. We really enjoyed the dishes! Very hearty and satisfying with some nice depth of flavors. The house chips are solid. My litmus test for a brewery is how well they can pull off a light beer. Less ways to mask any imperfections. The Empty Calories lager was crisp and refreshing! We tried the Summer Shandy, which was crisp, refreshing, and everything you'd expect from a great summer beer, along with the Lacto Kooper--a fruity sour with a fun green hue. Both were solid choices and a great way to sample what they have to offer. For lunch, my husband ordered the fish and chips, one of their featured gluten-free favorites. The fish was flaky, flavorful, and surprisingly light for a fried dish. I went with the Foodoo Burger and upgraded to fries. While I probably wouldn't pay the extra $2 for the fries again since they were just okay, the burger itself was delicious. The house-made Cajun ranch absolutely stole the show and tied everything together. The atmosphere was quirky and fun, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. We were honestly surprised they only had two servers/bartenders covering a busy Friday lunch, but they handled it incredibly well and kept everything running smoothly. It was a little busy, but not packed, and we were seated right away. It was trivia night this time, and pretty loud. Outdoor patio not yet open. Hubs got a pizza and I got the fish & chips. This was after I saw a dish in the service window -- it looked so good! So I asked the server what it wsa, she said, "fish & chips" and I said, "I'll have that!!" But honestly mine didn' look as great as the one I saw, so maybe their order was actually something else. Mine was still a decent size of fish, but very heavily breaded, which I peeled off most of and left. One thing I do really like is they offer 5oz pours of beer. This is perfect for me as I'm not a huge beer drinker, but that size is great for tasting and to accompany a meal for me. Hubs has a pizza that he thought was burnt on the edges and he did not enjoy it. Not enough to complain or anything, he just wasn't into it. I took the rest home and had it for lunch, it was ok but nothing amazing. One thing I did notice this time was that there seemed to be a lot of staff working, but service was a little slow, and they didn't really check back in on us. We were near the service window; I watched food and drinks sit waiting for pick up for quite a bit. So of the 4 recent times I have been here, it seems like they are slipping a little bit each time. This is a great new addition to Fishers! I have now visited Voodoo twice and service and food have been top notch both times. The wait time given was a longer than we actually had to wait each time, even on a Saturday. The drink options are abundant and honestly all sound good. They offer beer flights which makes beer lovers happy. There is a good variety of food offered and service is quick. The pizza is really good! The space has an open ceiling which makes it louder, especially with music, but there was an acoustic set this last time and it actually sounded good and was really enjoyable. Voodoo Brew Pub do that voodoo that they do so well, and that voodoo includes making good sandwiches and fries. Mostly, the fries, though. They are jagged and crispy and well cooked, kind of like the fries at In-N-Out when you order them well done (IYKYK). The fries here at Voodoo Brewpub are so, so tasty. Though, I can see the fries also being polarizing, because some people don't like these type of fries. Your milage may vary! But speaking as a fry connoisseur, I give them my seal of approval. I am also a patty melt connoisseur, if you didn't know. And the patty melt here (Frisco Melt) is great! It's less traditional patty melt kind more like a thick grilled cheese with a beef patty in the middle. The bread is sourdough, and in between those two toasted sourdough slices are: a burger patty, a slice of Swiss cheese, and some grated cheddar, which was only half melted on my patty melt. The half-melted grated cheddar was actually welcomed, though, because it added a nice texture. The Prime Rib Sammie was OK, but if someone was asking me, it could have been improved exponentially by swapping the ciabatta roll with a hoagie roll, or something more oblong and less square. The meat in the Prime Rib Sammie needs enough air to breathe, which can only be obtained with a roll that is substantial but not obtrusive. In short, nada ciabatta. Voodoo brews its own beer, which is cool. We got an Oh Mama (6% ABV) and a Good Vibes (7.3% ABV). These guys have only been open a couple of months, and they're still getting their footing and figuring out the menu. When I visited, the menu said that a doggie menu was in the works, which is neat! I bet this place would be a good place to bring your dog in the spring or whenever it starts getting warmer, because they have a huge outdoor patio. read more

Really excited to have another brewery in the city. My husband and I first week around the holidays, and stopped in before a dinner reservations for some drinks. I will say, I wasn't the biggest fan of their beers, but was happy to see a list of local beers and thankfully a Metazoa Hoppapotamus fixes everything. The second time I went, was for lunch where I enjoyed the truffle fries and my coworker loved the turkey BLTA. I'm basing this rating on our most recent visit to Voodoo. We've eaten there four other times and I would have rated those visits a 3/4. Here's my advice, if you want to eat at Voodoo with friends and enjoy conversation with them, do NOT go on an evening when there is live music. The blaring music was so loud that none of us could hear without yelling. Not appropriate for 5:30 pm. If we went at 8:00 for drinks it would be different. We were all enjoy good music. But please hire someone who can actually sing and play quieter music. It was awful! As far as the food goes, it's fine. It's pub food so you get what you'd expect at a pub. They do make a great Turkey Club. Tenderloin is good. Pulled pork sandwich is quite small compared to other sandwiches on the menu. It's pretty hit and miss. Service at the bar was great! Cocktails were delish and the sour we tried was so good, we asked if they sold cans of it. My fiancé ordered a burger and loved it. The fries are hand cut and pretty tasty. I ordered the steak salad as a wrap. Good flavor but the steak was so incredibly tough to chew through, there was hardly any lettuce and was overflowing with dressing. It had good flavor, but would probably try something else next time. I was waiting to try Voodoo for months while I waited for it to open. It has a great outdoor area with fire pits and seating for the days when its great to be outdoors. I have not tried their food yet but it does look decent from what I have seen. The beer prices are kind of all over the place. I came here on opening day. I got an IPA that was only 4.7% ABV and a 12 ounce pour and it was $12. My friend got an IPA 7% ABV and it was $6. I have since gone back and now that beer is $9! Actually I'm struggling to understand why their prices are so different and with about a dozen other options within 2 miles why should I go here? Maybe there food is the draw and in all fairness, I need to give them that chance but in the end, not sure if I'll frequent them regularly. Ambiance was wonderful- very clean and brand new! Service was great! The bartender saw us parking and greeted us at the front door! They have an excellent selection of beers. I like IPA's. My wife had tomato soup and grilled cheese - it tasted like a bisque - it was superb. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was really good. Our family came in on opening day and really enjoyed ourselves :) the cocktails were awesome and my fiancé enjoyed the beers (all Voodoo brand). We started with the chips and I HIGHLY recommend them. So tasty and fresh! Definitely ask for extra beer cheese as this was not enough. Our waitress was pretty slow, but it was opening day and the restaurant was slammed so we gave her grace on that. I'm hoping that the servers get for comfortable and experienced. We would love to come back next time we are in Fishers. I really loved the Blue Sapphire cocktail and the wings. Decided to visit this place after watching a review from The Traveling Food Guyde! I follow his suggestions and he's usually never wrong. We arrived and were met by one the owners Cher. She was super friendly and explain to us that due to the snow storm she was not fully staffed but could sit anywhere. We picked a table and sat down to order. Dani was our server and she was wonderful! I always get what Marcus suggests! We started with the wings. We opted for the BBQ and garlic pesto which was unusual for a wing sauce. Wings arrived and did not disappoint! Cooked in beef tallow! Juicy, crispy, and succulent. The sauces were phenomenal. We also had a side of Cajun ranch which was delicious. Next we went for the gluten free fish and chips also cooked in beef tallow and the sweet heat pizza both were elite! Cher the owner was super cool and very sweet! She brought us a couple of small dishes of soup to try and both amazing! Full of flavor I highly recommend. Also a small dish of brisket with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts all top notch chef quality food. Cher finished us off with two house favorite drinks and a special dessert. All were fantastic! Chef John came out and introduce himself. He's a great guy and outstanding chef of 30 years! He knows what he's doing. Dave the other owner and Chers husband came over for a nice chat. For being busy as it's a fairly new still the service and food was outstanding. It was busy as it was close to 7:30 and we were seat promptly. The waitress was fast and we got our drinks and ordered and had our food out fast for almost all the tables being full. I had walked by a table that had pickle pizza!!! It looked so good. I had seen other people's food come out and finally made my decision. Pickle pizza or a frisco melt. Frisco melt it was and I really thought it was great. The right amount of sauce, cheese, meat, to the right toast on the bread. Great sandwich. Next time I'm going to get the pickle pizza. The prime rib had sold out so that must be one of the big sellers. All in all a good experience in what seems to be a fairly new area in Fishers. Great new spot that i highly recommend checking out. I've been here twice now and the beer is great, the staff is attentive and the food is tasty. What more could you ask for? Well i guess a better parking situation but it's not that bad just avoid the unnecessary road curbs and you'll be fine. They also host trivia every Tuesday and no shade to Hambone (it's just not my favorite trivia set up) but Nerdy Talk does a much better job. There is something off here. Maybe it's all voodoo. Maybe it's not. But this place is missing the mark. We came in hungry for snacks and a beer. The beer was fine. The snack wasn't. The pretzel was something right from the freezer. The pretzel came with "beer cheese" which was really a flour toward rue. I was actually surprised because you can see into the kitchen. It looks very well run. Finally, the space also falls a little flat. There's cool art but outside of that it's no different from a chain. The service was fine. But nothing stands out. Trying Voodoo for the first time today since it opened recently and I unfortunately have a mixed review to our experience. The good: the Foodoo Burger was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly and the right blends of flavorful toppings and Cajun ranch sauce. Would highly recommend this one. The bad: possibly the worst fries I've had at a restaurant. They were served cold, hard, and seemed like they were sitting under a heat"less" lamp for a loooong time. We ordered a side of loaded fries as well as the fries came with my burger with our order. Both were very disappointing. Both cold. And the loaded fries didn't look very "loaded", more like "drizzled" in my opinion. ***When we mentioned our disappointment immediately to the bartender, her only response was "oh, okay." (No, I'm sorry. No, let me replace them. Nothing...) After a wonderful brunch at Vicious Biscuit, I decided to come to Voodoo Brewery & Restaurant for a quick beer to check out the new place. Voodoo Brewery and Restaurant had just opened up a couple months ago in Fishers, so I was happy to finally check it out. The ambiance is very laid back and casual with a beautiful mural on the main wall and a very nice bar area. I sat at the bar and the bartender greeted me right away with a smile and gave me a menu. The beer selection is listed on the wall behind the bar, and it is quite a diverse selection with the Voodoo Brewery beers and local Indiana beers as well. I went with the Lil Vibes West Coast IPA beer from Voodoo and it was just perfect for me . It was light and not hoppy which is what I like. It tasted perfect! The food menu looked very good, especially the pickle pizza, but I just had the one beer. I did over hear one of the bartenders say the Turkey Salami Sammy sandwich was his favorite, so I will have to give it a try the next time I come back here for a beer. The food menu was a diverse selection and looked great, so I will look forward to trying something new when I come back to Voodoo Brewery. Customer service was top notch! Since this was a restaurant we had never visited we always ask for suggestions and kinda make a decision from there. We decided on the pizza and the burger to share. Both items were pretty tasty and we were able to pack up the rest to bring home for a snack. We saw a couple that had order some nachos. We plan to come back to try those! The entire experience was a a top level 10! First become a VIP member, check out the music line up for local entertainers they are hosting. Plus, they have an Easter brunch on the schedule, wow!! I brought my brother who is such a huge craft beer enthusiast and he was just blown away with the flavors by Voodoo Brewing. He even has an app to track new places with craft beer he's tried year after year traveling the nation. Voodoo Brewing topped his list. My fave crafts are the Lacto Kooler and Empty Calories because of my health regimen!! We spoke with the owner and he was so engaged to offer details of their gluten free options for alternatives for customers with sensitivities. I quickly ordered from the appetizer menu and had to order the enormous Pub pretzel, and I mean, soft is very soft with buttery/salty flavors served along with the delicious beer cheese dip OMG, that really can be served alongside with anything you decide to order it's so it's so tasty and made with the craft beer! We enjoyed the delicious Sriracha Ranch jumbo wings and ordered every sauce (my top choice OH MAMA Mustard) to dip those tasty tender legs and wings into before devouring. One last addition to grub was my eyes taunting my hungry pain for the Gluten Free Fresh Cut Fries, wowza fried in Beef Tallow!! The seasonal craft cocktails were sure to please as I ordered the Mule and Margarita, wow the purple color was a nice color to enjoy on all the beautiful Edison lighting surrounding above on the open seating. The most exciting addition to the space is the exterior outdoor entertainment patio which will host local entertainers. It's a massive venue and be ready to gather with a group in the summer at a local venue. It's so close to the Fishers Event Center which this makes an excellent local spot to be before and after concerts, games and more! Plus, don't forget to check out the custom mural of the dogs on display in the main dining room. It's the owner's dogs just ask and get the story it's absolutely brilliant!! After being seated, we waited another 15 minutes without a single staff member coming to take our order. Meanwhile, employees sat at the bar watching TV, showing no concern for customers at all. Pizza was not good, not sure what they are trying to do serving watery bisques and the patty melt was an absolute horror show. It is all bread, very little sauce and meat. Not sure why they would serve that either... I know the place is trying, but the food can be WAY BETTER. Might want to take a page out of King Jugg's model, for food anyway.
