Came back to this restaurant after it being remodeled from an Egg and I. The decor is nicer but that's about all that was improved. This was my 2nd visit, after the first was not that great but decided to give it another try. The food is not worth the price, the service is abysmal and the waiting system is trash. I called 20 minutes ahead of time to reserve a spot in line. Arrived, after fighting for parking, and they told us it would be 10 more minutes until our table for 6 was ready. 10 minutes pass and we are told 5 more minutes, despite being able to visibly see several large tables available. Everyone has their system so we let it slide. After several other large tables were seated in front of us, as well as 2 tables for 2 that were seated in the larger capacity areas, we started to complain. Turns out they just forgot about us because we were outside. JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR. They immediately sat us and then we proceeded to wait another 10 minutes before being greeted by our server. After another 40 minute wait, we FINALLY got our food, which was mediocre. Skip this place and go to Dennys or IHOP. It's a shame this place is in shambles, other First Watch locations are actually good. read more

When the Egg and I left, they should have left behind their recipe for grits. Hands down, the grits I was served this morning were the worst. Gummy and not cooked through. If this was their attempt at 'cheesy grits', they got it terribly wrong. Honestly, I would compare them to Quaker Instant Grits. I honestly really like their food and their one of the only breakfast/lunch places in the area. However I was really turned off when I had a server with a attitude and all I was doing was ordering to go she also was a smart mouth to others who asked about the menu as if the customer is suppose to know what comes with stuff and what doesn't. Three amigos came in on Wednesday morning and were greeted by the beautiful waitress Ms.Sam (hopefully Ms. and not Mrs.) lol She attended us very fast and even which dishes were really delicious, brought us our drinks and food really quick and continued to check up on us making sure we were satisfied, which we were. So I saw the early bad reviews and was worried about going but my wife and I tried it this morning. It was nothing short of amazing. Great friendly service. We didnt wait long for anything. I ordered the parm skillet with egg over medium and done perfectly! Potatoes were amazing! Crunchy crust with a nice soft top. The coffee is GREAT! I'm not sure what's going on here but, things were MUCH better when it was "The Egg & I". The menu is completely different even though they assure it's not and the staff is just HORRIBLE! One Sunday I called to ask how long the wait was for 3. Normally I'd call and ask them for the wait time then put my name on the list before heading that way. The hostess says "Ma'am I can't give you that information. You'll have to visit our website for that then put your name on the list". I then ask "So you can't just tell me how long the wait is so that I can determine whether or not to go online to put my name on the list?". She says "Exactly and the tablet is in the back so I can't help you". We ended up just heading that way, waiting a few minutes and then experienced the WORST service ever. None of the wait staff knew who's table was who's and they didn't even check up on their tables. Every other table had an incorrect order which had to be sent back and every customer had to hunt down their waiter. I noticed a lot of the regular waiters were no longer there (we visited this location every Sunday for brunch; staff knew us by name) so I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of the new management. That day we decided to never go back and to find a new Sunday brunch spot to spend our money. read more

So although I don't usually do this I feel like it's needed. I've never been to a first watch before and just recently moving to Texas I had herd about this from friends and decided to try it out. When I got here I was greeted as soon as I walked in and sat immediately in a booth. The service was okay but the show that was put on this morning was what really caught my attention. There was a cook in uniform sitting in a booth near us that was just making a scene and mumbling and slurring under his breath. We saw the manager come out and talk to him and over heard him calling the cook Mikey. It looked and sounded as if he was asking him to leave but he really didn't do much. After sitting at the booth for a while he shuffled uncoordinated into the kitchen and we heard some loud banging noises like he was hitting something. We felt very unsafe and decided we would leave as soon as we had finished the meal. As we were in our car about to leave we saw him get in his car, screech out of his parking spot, and doing donuts further down in the parking lot. I can't even imagine if there were other cars that had been pulling in or if customers were walking into first watch. This experience was terrible I hope this is what everyday at first watch is like. My server Brittany did try but this experience was completely ruined and I will not be returning. read more

Had breakfast today at First Watch in Humble and was blown away by the fabulous menu with so many healthy and delicious options. The omelets are so fluffy and the add in ingredients are extensive. Try the banana crunch pancakes or the lemon ricotta ones! Their Artisan bread is the best I have eaten . Great service and decor. It is becoming one of my favorites for breakfast and lunch! read more

We were seated right away, came in about 830 on a Saturday. Food was delicious and served quickly. Waitress was very friendly and fast. Yum! If you sign up up for email you can get buy one get one free entree. They don't give straws unless you ask because they are sustainable friendly restaurant. read more

My wife and I and one of our sons and his wife decided to give First Watch a try on January 1. Our server was not very good, the food came out for three of us and when I asked about my wife's meal the woman told me "someone else will have to bring hers out - I can only carry so much." It took another five minutes before that was brought out. She then had to call someone over to ask about the avocado that was supposed to be included (they then brought it in a cup) - then when she asked about what appeared to be a honey mustard sauce for her greens - she was told that was Hollandaise sauce. She had specifically asked to not have that included as she has a gluten allergy. I had to ask for syrup for my pancake. An all around bad experience - not sure if we would go back or not. And it did not have to do with being too busy and too few workers - it just seemed to be poor management and employees who didn't seem to care enough to make sure that things were right. read more

I honestly hate to give a place with such great food 2 stars, but after waiting 30 minutes to sit and 45 minutes for food I have no choice. There was a crowd when we arrived so a 30 minute wait was expected. While waiting we looked over the menu and knew what we wanted to order when we were seated. When the waitress took our drink order we placed our food order as well. We waited 45 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was incomplete and incorrect. Our waitress didn't realize that the order was wrong we had to bring it to her attention. She then proceeded to say that the kitchen messed up our tickets and some of our food but they are remaking it now. So we waited another 15 minutes for the rest of our food. Altogether this was a very bad experience with good food which is a shame because I won't eat here again read more

First time having breakfast here. The atmosphere has that farmhouse feel and is so cute. There was no wait so we were able to get a table right away. Good thing bc we were starving lol. The menu has a wide variety of selections to suit anyone's craving. There are healthy options and decadent choices along with the more traditional breakfast foods. We started off with the million $ bacon and omg, was it YUMMY! I ordered some green juice to have with my traditional breakfast. It was all delicious and a LOT of food. Couldn't finish it all. The line in front was out of control. Our server was not very helpful when I asked what they had to drink, he gave me very generalized answers. Our glasses were dirty, and when my wife asked for clean glass, he swapped the dirty glass with a glass from another table, which was also dirty; forcing my wife to just ask for a clean plastic cup. It took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon and my bacon was burnt. Not to mention we were served our food without silverware. I used to be a server in high school so I know how hard the job can be and how much they depend on tips. I always usually leave a tip even they do a mediocre job, I give them the benefit of a doubt. But not this time, this was absolutely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had anywhere. Then only good thing from this experience was the fair prices on the menu, that's it. It was much better when it was The Egg & I. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

If you like to wait 20min to be seated as a party of 2, another 10min to be introduced to your server, and an additional 45-60min for your food during non-peak time, then this is the place to be! When you ask politely for a manager, they won't bother to come out. Instead, he/she will hand the server a "one free entree" coupon for the next visit. Decent service, respect, and efficiency means nothing to this place. On the brighter side, the food is amazing! Servers are very nice but unfortunately seem to be overworked. Omg!!! When I tell you this is the best restaurant ever!!! Everything was great from the moment I walked into the moment I stepped out I was served by a young lady named Aliana she was amazing I love when I can go to a restaurant and never have to look up to ask for anything because the waitress or waiter is there for you whenever you need them and that is exactly what I experience with her she made sure she took care of me and my husband she explained the menu to us in detail gave her suggestions she pretty much made the experience for us on top of that hats off to the chef I believe his name is Rod boooooy hats off to you sir!!! he sure can cook a mean breakfast I literally finished every single bite of everything that I ordered that day because everything was beyond amazing I couldn't leave a single piece of food behind because everything was just immaculate even the drink that I got I am big on juicing and they have juices!!!! Came here yesterday for brunch, was told a 20 minute wait but was pleasantly surprised it took much less time. The waitress told us we were getting the best server there...if she's the best I would hate to see the worst. Drink orders were taken & brought out immediately. Food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and was actually quite good. But the our server disappeared. Never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. I finally flagged down another server & he got our waitress. She seemed quite frazzled & blamed her disappearing act on the manager making them do spring cleaning. So whether she was truly working hard behind the scenes or was not being honest is irrelevant. Customers should always come first. She gave us the check & disappeared again, came back a few minutes later & at that time told us we paid up front, something she should have said when she handed us the bill. We will probably go back but hope we have a server that is a bit more attentive. read more

Was excited to have a new brunch place close to my home but that's where the excitement ended. Went this morning and was told there would be a 45-60 min which was fine. I understand on sundays there will be a wait at most restaurants. However it took 45 mins from the time we ordered until the time our food made it to the table. Our waitress never came back to the table to apologize for the wait or explain the delay. My friend asked for regular creamer and it took 30 mins just for that to arrive. Once the food did get to us it was mediocre at best. My bacon was cold but I didnt bother complaining because I didnt have another 45 mins to wait. When we were done and took our check to the register up at the front, the woman taking payment asked how everything was. My friend friend answered honestly and say it was pretty bad. The women's response....ok! She didn't even bother to ask what happened or apologize. So why ask us how everything was? I wont step foot in First Watch again. I'd rather drive to Houston and find a brunch spot that knows what they are doing. read more
