I was ready to give up on brunch when I saw First Watch. I hadn't been to First Watch in years and I'm so glad I stopped by. We ordered the Million Dollar Bacon, Bacado Omelet, and the Trifecta. All these dishes were delicious. First of all, that Million Dollar Bacon was absolutely amazing! The sweet, salty, spicy paired with a nice slice of bacon was perfect. I would have ordered multiple plates of this had I been lacking in self control. The Bacado Omelet was fresh, delicious and the perfect size for brunch. The eggs were cooked wonderfully and it was seasoned just right. The Trifecta had a beautifully, fluffy, crispy waffle, he ordered more bacon and the eggs were beautifully scrambled, fluffy and light. We couldn't have asked for a better way to start our day. I used to love going to First Watch and was so happy that they opened a new branch near where I live last year. My daughters and I frequent this place. Whenever I have guests, I take them to First Watch. BUT My last two visits were big disappointments. The mocha mint drink I had was so watered down. I think they made a big batch I had the leftovers as I came in for a late brunch already. The first time I tried it, it was so good! The new Fall offering of CHURROS was a disaster! It was so dense, tough and chewy. Again, they probably made a big batch and the gluten had already developed. But nothing cinnamon nor "spice" about it. The worst churros we've ever had. Disneyland's churros are even better! Lol The SERVICE has deteriorated. All the servers were rushing, rushing, rushing. I get it. They always have a lot of patrons. But our server didn't get our request for Hazelnut coffee creamer until towards the end of our meal and our coffee all gone. We asked for water and none came so we left. Sure, they're nice when they're taking your order but then they run off to their tasks, it was hard to "catch" them for additional orders. Lastly, the noise level was high. I'm new to Arizona so I've been in the lookout for the perfect waffle and I think I've found it here at First Watch. Their waffles are crispy yet fluffy and have a nice vanilla flavor to it. My husband ordered the chickichanga which is one of their specialties. We both thought it was difference but delicious. We also had their Purple Haze which was like a lemonade lavender. I have been to the FW off of 17 and it was pretty good. I defiantly like the newer spot at Westgate though. This time I had the power bowl which hit the spot. My friend had his usual French toast and biscuits/gray on the side. The service was very good and server friendly especially for how busy they were. I met a friend for breakfast on a Sunday morning, so no surprise that it was busy. Service was still decent, coffee tasted great, and food was great. I am pregnant so I cannot eat runny eggs I ordered them well done fully cooked through and they brought me it completely runny the waitress instantly realized and said she would bring me some different eggs. The eggs she brought still had runny egg yolk so I just didn't eat the eggs. I ate the sausage and potatoes and my two blueberry pancakes. Everything else was delicious!
