-Black and burnt food -Bad customer service -Unjustifiable prices -Wait time is too long read more

Servers don't know the menu and disappear after the food comes. I'll try again after they have been open longer and the hype dies down.

The whole wait list concept is broken here. Signed up online at 11 am and was told it would be 60-90 minute wait. So arrived at noon and was told it would be another hour wait. The hostess when I first arrived to check in said it would be 20 minutes but then changed it to an hour when she reviewed the list again. Food is good but not worth the headache of the wait list if the wait list isn't true to time. read more

Always great food and service!! I definitely recommend this restaurant! Good variety of breakfast, and lunch, AND the only restaurant I've been too that had a variety of flavored coffee creamer which is a WIN for me!!! read more

Great atmosphere. Excellent service. All food tasty with choices for everyone. Recently had pumpkin pancakes . Lots of flavor and liked that it went to a good cause for September. read more

We had the veggie burger, butternut squash soup and the farmhouse style hash - we thoroughly enjoyed all of it and raved about the flavors! We will definitely be back. We went at 1:45p on a Saturday, had no wait and great service. read more

They need help figuring out how to run a business. I thought I was safe from all the long lines and waiting by ordering online. Nope, the place is a mess. Almost an hour and order is still not ready...an iced coffee and açaí bowl. Asked for refund. The response is well I don't do that. Don't hire people if they aren't willing to take care of customers. read more

First off- I generally love First Watch and have left raving reviews prior to this last visit. We were sat at a table that was extremely warped. My kid's crayons kept rolling off the table and our plates and silverware were falling off. We told two servers and they said they would send a manager over. We hoped they would have offered us a different table. A manager never came over. When we paid, they asked how everything was and we told them. They said they had been aware and weren't going to sit people there in the future. However, we were never offered another table. We rushed through our food because we were so uncomfortable and irritated. Both servers acknowledged the problem and told us they had been aware of the issue before we brought it to their attention. read more

First time there today after hearing great things. We got there around noon (Monday) and were seated within s few minutes. Service was good. Happy to get iced coffee! French toast was tasty with warm syrup. I had an omelette filled with avocado, cheese and bacon. The filling was tasty but for a place specializing in breakfast and brunch, the eggs were very over cooked. My companion( college student) had a wrap and wasn't even impressed enough to take the remaining half home. They list s "juice bar" but have only two choices. The place was also very busy, and very noisy, and the bench seat was uncomfortable. Love the idea of the place, waitress was sweet. I can handle uncomfortable seats for great food..... Maybe a new cook is needed??? Return doubtful. read more

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! The only issue is that is very new and over crowded and super loud! But other that that the food is incredible and the basil and tomato plants outside are awesome! I take some fresh basil and put it on my food! read more

The prices are more reasonable than Famous Toastery and the food is better. Also the menu has great diversity. I always get the gravy and biscuits and they're great (although you guys should think about doing sausage gravy instead of turkey). read more

This place is fantastic. The food is cooked with care, and almost every dish I've tried so far has been 5/5 (with a few exceptions being 4/5). The service is warm and welcoming, as is the ascetic. I had been here a few times but wanted to leave a review after a wonderful server named Samantha made my visit so pleasant, she was cheerful and sweet, and really made the experience. My favorite breakfast/lunch place in Charlotte by far! read more

New favorite breakfast place in HHI! The pancakes are delicious and perfect. Wish they had the blueberry lemon butter all year long. Million dollar bacon is sometimes really spicy and other times not as much....not very consistent that way but always good. read more

Went this past Sunday morning and truly enjoyed the food. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I was also very impressed with the menu options and ingredients used. I will definitely be going back. read more

I walked in at 11:20am and was told that there would be a 30-40 minute wait. I walked back in at 12:05pm to find out our status and was told that we would have to wait another 20 minutes because 9 people were ahead of my party of 4. I specifically asked if the people who registered online comes before us and was told yes. The food is good but the service and policy is HORRIBLE. Why didn't you tell me this when I walked in and reserved our place???? If I could give a zero I would. read more

Normally love this chain. Horrible experience. Table of four three others got their food very quickly. Mine did not come out with theirs, came out 10 minutes later. Food prepared incorrectly. Manager never came out to apologize. Very disappointed! read more

We ordered our food at 10 AM online for pick up at 11 AM. We were told at 11:30 AM they had missed our order and that they would refund us for our troubles. We never got the refund promised. Will not go here again after this experience. read more

Update: I returned a 2nd time and it was a completely different experience. I ordered a pancake. It came cold. I was hungry but my husband sent it back and asked if they could warm it up. My husbands meal came and I watched him eat it, longingly. 40 minutes later my pancake was missing. I asked the waiter for an update. He apologized and said he's not sure what happened. Maybe pancake went out for a smoke? he would send out the manager to find out about said pancake. He came back to tell me manager did not have time to speak to me. I explained that the pancake and the manager could go jump ship. I had to go home. Almost 2 hours and no food. As I was getting up from the table, the pancake arrives. Too late. I don't want your pancake. (suffering silently) As my husband goes to pay, manager comes out. I said oh you have time to speak? She was surprised that the waiter told me the truth. She apologized and didn't let us pay for any of the meal. That was the upside. Still think of that pancake. Wonder where its been. Has it traveled? Is it happy? I hope so. His life was saved that day. Yeah, never went back. 2 stars for free meal read more

Delicious food, allergy conscious for people who need that, we recommend get on the waitlist if you're going on a weekend or holiday when they are open...they are packed those times because food is that good. Lizzy is a wonderful server and person. We will be back. read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

Hi! I called on 7/4/19, 15 minutes before we would arrive. I asked about the wait time and was told there really wasn't one then. Arrived 15 minutes later to hear there was a 45-60 minute wait!!! What?! She laughed and apologized that the phone is in the back and whoever answered doesn't know what is happening up front. Really?? Can management figure this out?? Don't guess or lie to get people to come and then give the truth!! We went to the Famous Toastery. I had called them after we left First Watch. So...Famous Toastery told me a 15 min wait. Got there and had an 8 min!!! Now that is how you do it!! First Watch-please learn from this. read more

This place has fantastic food and is family friendly...Don't recommend 8 people because it gets very crowded... Overall good experience!!! read more

First Watch - me and my friends at first watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

Our first trip to this location but have eaten at other locations in Ohio. The service and food was good but still needs a little work to bring it up to more experienced locations. Also I find AC blowing on me very annoying while dining. We moved and it wasn't much better. read more

Yuck, again. I dared to try another First Watch, and I knew better, but I was hungry and tired. I really shouldn't be allowed to make decisions in this state of mind. How bad can an $8.50 Belgium waffle really be?!? I think I answered myself already. Next time, I will choose to eat a bowl of cereal instead. read more

We'll probably give this place another try. I had the honey pecan salad and it wasn't good at all. It was more like a dessert. My husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito though. The restaurant was really loud and the way the booth seat is situated means you can feel the people behind you. The toddler jumping up and down was fun. ;) We'll see how next time goes, but we aren't rushing back. read more

We are from out of town and choose First Watch for breakfast. They were quick, polite and the breakfast was delicious. They were sanitizing everything between customers, wore masks and kept us spaces apart. Oh and did I mention the breakfast was fabulous!! read more

Terrible management! Terrible! We got there around 915 am. We were told 15-20 minute wait. Sat down after 20 minutes which was great. However we waited 45 minutes for a kids waffle and bacon and then an additional 30 minutes for our food. Our waitress was very apologetic. This restaurant has no manger present to our knowledge. While we waited for our food they had over 30 to go orders put in. All together the food was good, server was stretched thin but very sweet, and they need to take care of inside guest and cut down on the to go orders. read more

This place took over an hour to get us seated, and once we got seated they took another hour to get our food out. waiters have terrible service and barely payed attention to us. DONT USE THE BATHROOM!! read more

Our first time here & surprised to say that the food was unimpressive and mine was even bland. The menu is huge so we may come try it again eventually. Our server was sweet but a couple of the other staff members were oblivious to their customers. read more

This would be a really quality breakfast with great service had it not been for the subzero air conditioning blowing on our hot food. Our wonderful breakfast was frozen before the third bite. After speaking with our waitress & having her tell us that she had requested the air be turned down to no avail, we requested to speak to the manager. Like any good manager, he offered to remake the food, and said he would adjust the temperature. We were not looking for free food. The air was never turned down and we had remained for some time to chat. We will not be returning sadly. read more

Had breakfast here two weeks ago and rated it 5 Star. Today food was mediocre at best! The pancake for the Trifecta was cool to the touch. It had to have been sitting out for at least 5 minutes. The powers wrap had small traces chocolate inside the wrap in two places. Must have been on one the the cooks hands. Three meals came out at one point, the fourth was 5 minutes behind. The experience today couldn't come close to the last two times we ate there. The staff clearly can not handle high volume and control quality. I may give it one more chance down the road. It took so long to get served we didn't tell the waitress about the quality of the food. read more

2 stars because I had received decent service in the past. Recently, my wife and I drove across state lines to have brunch mid-week (three tables were occupied). When I walked in I was informed that the governor of the state of South Carolina had mandated masks. Okay, news to me and the governor of SC. I was unaware of any mask mandates there at the time. This is a privately owned business and if they had decided to only allow patrons with masks on, fine I respect that. As I had driven in from another state and was unaware (and nothing posted on their website or google maps at the time) I was caught unprepared. I offered to cover my face with my shirt to walk the literal 5' to my table, to which the manager (who had been summoned to educate me, mask down below his nose) told me no. I asked if they had a mask I could use since i had driven from another state and was completely unaware of their local ordinance and decision. He then told me I was no longer welcome at their restaurant. Not a problem. I drove down to Famous Toastery was treated with empathy and respect. They made accommodations for me, and have earned my undying loyalty. Never again First Watch. I had been to this restaurant multiple since their grand opening and I particular since their reopening post-Covid and had always been overly generous with the staff for all goodwill that got me. Don't waste your time or your money. Go somewhere where they appreciate you and don't treat like a criminal. read more

Came here for brunch with my son, the food and service was out of this world. When my dish came out with the eggs cooked incorrectly our server Drew was on top of things, offering a complete replacement plate to be brought out. The food was filling and full of delicious flavor, and the server was attentive, polite, and kind. Certainly a 10/10 experience. I know my son and I will be making the First Watch a regular breakfast spot from now on. read more

Love first watch. The Coffee is delicious. The food is great. We have been there many times. The Parma skillet is amazing. The blueberry pancakes are out of this world. So happy to have such a great restaurant here in fort mill. read more

Probably one of the worst breakfast joints I've eaten at in the area. I ordered the Classic Benedict and it didn't even realize that the server didn't ask how I wanted my eggs cooked until the food got to the table. My eggs were basically raw and cold. The ham was freezing cold. The first bite tasted like I bit straight into a lime! Way too much lime in the hollandaise! I had my girlfriend try it to make sure it wasn't me and she spit it out it was so bad. I didn't eat anything off my plate and our server never came and checked on us. She didn't even deliver our food. Horrible customer service. After sitting for about 45 minutes waiting for our server some random hostess brought us our check and nobody even asked why I never touched my food. That was the second time I've had a horrible experience here. The first time they brought my toast out after I was done with my meal. The silverware and glassware was extremely dirty. I will probably never be back here and I think this place should be shut down and something good be put in its place read more

I'm still waiting for a server to just greet me . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (each dot is a minute). I'm literally 5 feet from the doorway to and from the entrance to the server station and kitchen. But thankfully the manager on duty, Madison, made things better(hence the second star). The service staff here is horrible though and needs a refresher on training, especially on teamwork. I found them to be quite rude. read more

We live 45 minutes away from The Ft. Mill location. I was looking forward to taking my family ( of 3) there today and added our name to the waitlist. I was informed it was going to be a 45 to 60 minute wait. Which was acceptable. When I checked in at the 45 minuet point to inquire how much longer it would be, the hostess told me it would be an ADDITIONAL hour and a half to two hours. I REMINDED her that our names were already on the waitlist. Her coworker who was seating guests abruptly said again the wait is an hour and a half to two hours. Again I stated I added my name to the waitlist almost an hour ago and now you're telling me it's another hour and a half to two hour wait from now? What is the point of having my name on a waitlist when I was told the wait was going to be 45 minutes to an hour, a hour ago and now it's an additional hour and a half to two hours? I don't care how great your food is it's not worth a three hour wait. Especially when we already drove 45 minutes. Never mind First watch, never mind. read more

I really wanted to like this place because I love the concept and I LOVE the bacon. With that being said, all 3 of my visits have been less than great! Our first time there, our silverware was very dirty and I had a pretty decent size chunk of something brown floating in my water. And by dirty silverware, I mean dried food, not water spots. Fine. It's new and they have to work out the kinks. I get it. The second time. The food was great, there was just a problem with mixing up our checks and it took several staff members (one w was very unfriendly) and about 20 minutes to resolve. Again, fine. I'm not hard to please when I go out to eat. I was a waitress when I was younger and I don't expect perfection, however, today was the icing on the cake. It started out great! No wait, sweet waitress and getting our food was quick. The issue was once the waitress sat the food on table. I look over at my husband's plate and see MOLD on his bread. Not a speck of mold but a quarter sized spot of MOLD! How was this missed by the kitchen and the waitress? Some lady, who I'm assuming was the manager but didn't introduce herself, came and advised us that she would be taking care of my husband's food. I saw her go into the kitchen and remove a container with other pieces of bread inside so who knows how many people ate moldy bread before us. I'm very thankful that his meal was taken care of but I guess I was expecting something else to be done. Maybe a gift card to return. I don't know. Unfortunately, a gift card still wouldn't have been able to get me back here. I just can't bring myself to revisit this restaurant as much as I LOVE their bacon and the morning meditation drink read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

This new location opened not too long ago and office staff have tried it on days and had good things to say. We went ahead and ordered food for the office Saturday and the meal was a joke. Several items were missing, the food was either totally burnt or ice cold. Food wasn't even ready when picked up and our office isn't even 2 mins away, so it seems impossible for it to get that cold that fast. Service and organization was not good, utter disappointment.
