Food quality does not match the prices. Went there for breakfast. The waitress was very good. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. The poached eggs were perfect. The smoked salmon was good but they put it all on a cold stiff half of a bagel. My wife ordered a biscuit and gravy with eggs over easy. The eggs were overcooked. This is basic restaurant 101 people. Before going to this restaurant, I looked up the Yelp reviews for this location. A few were 5 stars but many others were rated 3 stars or less. Since we had already notified our cousins coming from in from Cleveland to meet us at this location, we decided to stay with this location to meet for breakfast. The food was mediocre at best. My over easy eggs were fried hard, the potatoes with the meal were movertaxed to heat them, the toast was cold and served with no butter. I took us tries to get the waitress back so we could get more coffee after our first cup and butter for the toast. Our breakage for 4 people was $98.00. My husband and I stopped in again...this time for a late breakfast. Just as before, we enjoyed the laid-back vibe here....complete with good overhead music. The place was a tad too chilly though...as the fans were spinning a bit too hard. I love A/C, but guess I've never been a fan of fans. Anyway, we both ordered their Crab Cake Benedict. My husband chose the roasted potatoes as his side, and I tried their City Grits (Grits with Bacon). We also shared some Bacon, and again, shared their Biscuit Beignets (half portion this time). The Crab Cake Benedict was good...but not quite great. For one, the toppings were too chunky and crudely placed...and the presentation was sloppy. I actually liked the City Grits more than the Crab Cake Benedict. Also, the foods weren't heated enough...or possibly cooled too quickly due to the fans?? I think my husband felt the same...Good, but could have been better (and warmer!). I guess the best part of the meal was their Biscuit Beignet and their strong Coffee (with French Vanilla Cream). Overall, I like this place...but the foods were a bit weak (both in taste and presentation)...especially for its outlandish pricing. My favorite breakfast stop is Snooze AM in Charlotte, for instance...and their foods are way better in quality, presentation...you name it. This place isn't even close to being as good as Snooze...yet much more expensive! (our bill was over 60 bucks) Still, this is the best place for breakfast in Rock Hill. Again, the foods were disappointing, but good enough...so I would have easily dropped at least 3 stars. However, I had to consider their ridiculous pricing! I just wish the place tried a bit harder to match its price points...that's all. read more

Back on 10/2/2025 I had 2 emergency doctor appointments that I had to deal with. My neighbor had agreed to drive me to my appointments so I had made a promise that anything she wanted to do for brunch as a way to pay her for taking me to the appointments. My pain level was already at an 8 and I was struggling to keep clear head due to health issues. We decide to go to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Rock Hill over by Hobo's. My neighbor wanted to try it since she had never been. We walk in and I have my Loops in with an Autism processing headset with kitty ears over that and the music is so loud it's spiking through and triggering my migraine. So when the waitress comes I very respectfully and very nicely go "before we get started I have a request for you. I have a brain tumor and a migraine level of 8 currently. Is there any way you can turn the music down just a tad?" Her face is shocked but she disappears for a bit... Comes back and the music is LOUDER... I can't. But my neighbor wants to try it and I promised her whatever she wanted to get a ride to the doctor's office. So I put up with it. For her. We get our food and I can barely touch mine due to the pain in my head. The waitress doesn't check on us. Doesn't ask if we need refills or anything else. And I try to get the waitress' attention for a bit but she was socializing and not responding to my attempts. No one. Most especially somebody who is Autistic and has PTSD; much less handling the kind of stuff I'm handling health wise deserves this. And so after a while (during which I actually tried to wave down our waitress. Literally waving from my table. She could see me as far as I can tell but was ignoring us) this other waiter comes over and asks if he can take plates. (My food is mostly untouched btw). And I go "I need a box, and my check and to get out of here. Because I have a Brain tumor and I asked you guys to turn down the music and someone turned it up instead". He goes and lets the waitress know that we're needing our check. The waitress was so upset because you could tell she thought I was going to stiff her on the tip. (Btw I didn't... Left her a $9 tip on a $44 ticket) And I kid you not, someone turned up the music more. It was not just my imagination. My neighbor noticed it too. So now my pain level is spiking from pushing through anyway. We go back to the house and I'm shaking like a leaf because of my pain level. I tell my fiance what happened but since he wasn't there he can't speak up for me. So I reach out to the company via their website email form hoping that someone would at least reach out and apologize for the situation. It is now Monday, October 27th and I have yet to be contacted by anyone from the restaurant or corporate. I will not be wasting my money here again. read more

I went here on August 12th at about 9:15 AM. And I was extremely disappointed. The service was great! Our waitress was amazing, and very kind and sweet. But the food on the other hand was so bad. We all got French toast, and 2 sausage and gravy orders. The French toast had no flavor, Like it was a flavorless egg toast. On top of that it was also cold (you will see a pattern). The two other orders were bland as hell, the eggs had no seasoning on them, neither did the potatoes. And on top of all that the food was cold. I can not eat at a place that has cold food. Had brunch here on a Friday around 12:30 pm, it wasn't too busy and we were seated quickly. They have options of regular tables, booths and bar seating. The food and drinks were amazing! I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff is friendly and our server was great. She was really attentive and stayed on top of everything. We started with the Biscuit Beignets. We enjoyed them. The jam situation they have going on with that is, ugh, so good! Also ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon, which was yummy. This is our go to spot for breakfast in the Rock Hill area. We have only gone on weekends, and they are always busy (but you can put your name on a waitlist through their website and see what the current estimated wait time is). I'm not a huge breakfast person and I don't really like sweets, but they have fantastic options for me as well as my sweet tooth hubby. They have a great drink list of mimosas or bloody mary's as well. The staff has always been friendly. When we first went (when they first opened), things ran fairly slowly, but we chalked that up to being new and the pains that come with that. Since then, things have come along and we haven't had issues with service, since. Definitely give this spot a try. You cannot go wrong with what you order. read more

We tried Another Broken Egg last Sunday morning. As we were being shown to the table we had to step over food scraps and dirty napkins on the floor. We were then seated at a dirty table which had been wiped with a dirty cloth and covered with food scraps as well. The service was very slow, and other patrons who came in after us were served before we were. One of the bussers and then one of the cook seated themselves at the counter, and started chatted with the person working behind the bar. When the food finally arrived, the presentation was sloppy and the taste was mediocre to say the most. We had to chase the server down to get a refill on coffee and water. There is no ambiance here. It is loud, the music that was playing was inappropriate for dining and was also loud. In short, management in this establishment is non existent. The dining experience was overwhelmingly poor. The associates there are untrained and unprofessional. The food is unappealing and unappetizing and the prices are far too high for what you receive for your money. Needless to say we will not be returning. If they do not improve quickly, and hire some competent management and staff, I see closure in their very, very near future. The eggs with bacon and spinach were cooked perfectly ( soft, fluffy), but was completely void of any seasoning. It's a good thing there was salt and pepper on the table and we had to use a lot of it because there was none when it was prepared. The place was not crowded as it was 11:00 but was just lukewarm when served. Waitress was good checked on us brought us our bill signed off.... my girlfriend and I sat there being a little chatty as we had not seen each other in 10 years and had lots to catch up on. I think this place is great! It was clean and I was seated right away. I've gone twice in the last two weeks. Perfect place to grab breakfast or brunch. They have a really large selection of brunch cocktails as well as spiked coffees. So far everything I've tried has been tasty and I've finished both plates fully. They don't have enormous portions, which I appreciate because I don't like wasting food. Their potatoes are crispy and delicious. I do have to say the first waitress I had was off putting. She didn't check on us or ask if we wanted anything before giving us the check. The second waitress I had was over the top great and very kind even though I dined alone and worked for a bit. My wife and I were rather excited when we learned of this location in Rock Hill as we have been making the trek to the Ballantyne Location for some time now. Due to the distance, we do not visit as frequently as we would like too. It is certainly night and day between the two restaurants as we had an awful experience at the Rock Hill location. Without a doubt, we will not return to the Rock Hill location and will likely stray away from the Ballantyne location as a result. The staff are not friendly, they glide around like they want to be any place but there, no smiles, no hello's and certainly no service outside of taking an order and bringing food which any 5 year old can do. Our food arrived cold and we kept looking for our server to inform her yet we never saw her. I stopped a guy who was clearing the tables and asked if he could let our server know we have an issue. His reply was "Alright" and nothing more. Needless to say he must not have told her as she never returned until it was time to leave. We sat through our entire cold meal which was $53 in hopes of getting coffee refills yet no one came back until it was time to depart. By then we just wanted to pay and get far away. Then the annoying ceiling fans were on HIGH and the music was way too loud. We asked them to turn them both down and the music did get reduced a small amount but nothing else changed. The couple next to us informed us they made the same request before we arrived. I am far better off at pretty much any place in Rock Hill for breakfast other than 'Another Broken Egg Café'. I wasted $53 which I will never get back but I can only hope that others will read the reviews and heed my warning and not get taken like we did. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at ANOTHER BROKEN EGG! Our server, Kamya, was absolutely fantastic and my food was perfect. I had the traditional breakfast platter, but subbed fruit for the grits. My special request of berries only was happily accommodated. Speaking of the berries... they were delicious and I was served a large bowl full of delicious FRESH berries! I'm giving ABE cafe 3 stars because it's a great location, we live around the corner & operate an Airbnb so recommending them to our guests would be ideal, the atmosphere is very nice, modern, clean & hip & the menu is extensive... but unfortunately that's where it Stops!!! Although the setting is great... it's waaayyyy too cold in there & the massive ceiling fans are everywhere & when we asked if they could turn them off or at least down, we were told there was something with the connections or something that prevented them from doing this... well that made for a very uncomfortable setting, even the waitress, who was great, had on a heavy sweater. But next, our food got cold fast because of the fans... don't like cold eggs, etc. So we ordered simple breakfast cause it was our first time... I got scrambled eggs, home fries, English muffin & chicken sausage. Again it was cold... but my eggs were so hard it was hard to eat... but the chicken sausage, again cold, had a good taste. I like eggs well-done, not runny but these were not fluffy or nicely done, the home fries were very hard nuggets kind of thing... the top layer appeared to be ok but under that, there were tiny hard pieces, obviously they were frozen, not homemade, even my muffin was hard & cold... they should try Thomas' English muffins, they're softer. Very disappointing. My husband ordered the Bm pancakes, homemade sausage & fried eggs... again, eggs were hard, he likes them well but these actual had a crust on them... I thought he changed his order, the pancakes were hard & rubbery, he ate the middle & the sausage was so crispy & cold, they was a good flavor but too hard. I'm sorry to say these things cause we had high hopes from this breakfast spot. I'd think the chefs at a breakfast spot would be masters at making eggs, anyway... They need new chefs. They've got to turn those fans off!!!! I saw a previous review that talked about the fans but I figured it was just a one time thing... not!! And the hostess said it gets so hot in the summer... well it was not hot that day. Some reviews compliment the food... guess we had another chef. This is so disappointing... I wished we had gone to IHOP or the RH diner, but we're not crazy bout those venues... but they are more satisfying than ABE cafe. Came to this location for the first time which had just opened about four months ago. Service was excellent! Lisa was very helpful and kind. I would ask for her again! The downfall is that their coffee is extremely strong and thick-and the homemade sausage was burnt! First thing I want to say is I NEVER WRITE RESTAURANT REVIEWS ... but I felt this was necessary to share. We were looking for something "new" and decided to try Another Brocken Egg in Rock Hill. We put our name on the waitlist on our way and once we arrived we only had to wait about 10 min for a table. They do not take reservations. Atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly. We saw a promotional poster on the wall for Apple cider Sangria so we asked the waitress what the price was for a glass of the Sangria, she didn't know, we asked her if it would be a better value to buy the pitcher or individual glasses. She said it would be a much better value to get the pitcher because you get ; full glasses. Since there was 5 in our party we decided to get a pitcher... when the "pitcher" showed up it was a sad surprise... the pitch was more like the size of a large beer mug, NOT A PITCHER AT ALL. We each poured ourselves half a glass and that was it. I thought, oh well not what we expected but we are not big Dr so all good, then we got the bill... the pitcher of Sangrias was $46.99!!! That blew my mind considering the size of the pitcher!!! I then proceeded to see how many glasses the pitcher actually served... it was 3 glasses... not 4 or 5 but 3!! So that would mean each glass would have cost $15.66 each!! So I asked the manager how much 1 glass of Sangria was and she said $13.69... so basically we were paying $6.00 extra for a pitcher than it would have been for 3 glasses!!! I'm sorry, this is just WRONG!! Food was good, not great ... service was good, not great. Unfortunately the restaurant selection for brunch is extremely limited so I May give it one more chance, with out the drinks! read more
