We started with the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned and Pineapple Express--they have such a great cocktail menu! The Yogurt Parfait was the perfect bite with fresh berries, honey, Greek yogurt, and crispy granola. My husband ordered the Grit Bowl with creamy pimento cheese, pulled pork, an over-easy egg, and spicy mayo. Talk about comfort food done right! My girlfriend got the Burger, and it was amazing! The combination of pimento cheese and bacon jam was SO good. I went with the Biscuit Bake--creamy sausage gravy, aged cheddar, bacon, and an over-easy egg. Another totally drool-worthy bite! Everything was delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and the whole experience was a win. We will definitely be back!

The beer on tap was all good, local brews, and just happened to be $5 per draft on Thursdays! I got the original burger, because it was national burger day. This was not mentioned on the menu or anywhere else. Had I known, I would have requested them to come without it.

First of all it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The building is lovely and well maintained. Very welcoming. We were seated up on the 5th floor and had a super server who was knowledgeable and friendly. My sister ordered Chicken and Waffles and I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and a side of the Parmesan Grits. They gave us these adorable cornbread medallions served warm with this amazing compound butter that was a little sweet and had this citrus zest which complimented the bread perfectly. My sister loved the crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside waffles and I inhaled my biscuits and gravy. We both thought the parmesan grits were the star of the day. Usually parmesan cheese can make things too salty, they balanced it perfectly. I can't say enough nice things about this wonderful spot. YOU MUST GO. The view, the food, the service is top notched.

Waitress just didn't follow up. My water sat unrefilled for a long time. Fried okra didn't taste like okra - but that suited a few of the party. But a few of us expected okra flavor only to be disappointed. Temp on the fried green tomatoes should have been warmer but overall it was very tasty. Our appetizer empty plates sat for a while - we even stacked them so it was clear they should be cleared. Ordered the salmon, which was good, but so did my mom. We ordered different temps and they couldn't tell which was which. Wife ordered a salad and for the price, there was barely anything there. Mac and cheese is still the star. Oysters were decent - I expected larger. The half chicken was a generous portion - nice crispy outside but a bit dry inside. I wouldn't order it (I almost did, but my one of our party did). One of our party ordered a stuffed leeks and it was so salty it was inedible. They did fix it and admitted it should have never left the kitchen. By the time the replacement came out it was after 6:05 (and they had to leave at 6:15). So they didn't get to eat their celebratory meal with the rest of us. Not the memory you want for a meal. Desserts were good. Tort was dense - honestly not sure if that's normal. Crème brûlée was very good. For a $400+ experience and our history with Pump House, I expected more.

They had at least 4 diff sauces on the side, you could get-I got the Memphis red sauce, my sister got buttermilk, vinegar white sauce and both were tasty. We ordered the catfish, whiting, chicken, and a kids' chicken tender meal. For sides, we tried the okra, potato salad, and fries. The standout for me was the catfish with the mild seasoning. The flavor was excellent and perfectly balanced. I couldn't taste the seasoning quite as much on the chicken, but it was still good. We also tried the Hot Honey sauce, which added a nice sweet-and-spicy kick. The sides were decent, the portions were satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable. I also noticed they offer daily specials, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a solid spot for fresh seafood and chicken, friendly family-business vibes, and good value.

That's a good sign to say the least. I ordered a chicken tender combo meal to try this place out since everything's good ! I got it hot with fries and a drink. The chicken was great with the homemade ranch dressing. It had just enough heat and yet still great flavor. I took my last chicken finer to my son and it was at the peak of his heat tolerance but he still really enjoyed it. Next time I want to try the seafood. Only downside is the deep fryer smell that lingered in my clothes after being in the restaurant. I think next time I will call ahead and limit my time on the restaurant. With that said, everyone was very friendly from the staff to the customers. Helen's know how to fry up some goodness. O

It can get quite busy and loud, so it's not the best place for an intimate conversation, and reservations can sometimes be difficult to get. That said, it's absolutely worth it. The menu changes regularly, so I try to visit whenever they announce a new one. Yesterday, we shared several small plates. The bacon-wrapped dates were phenomenal. I almost ordered a second serving before realizing we still had four other dishes coming! The chicken and waffles definitely satisfied my craving--crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The mushroom ravioli was also outstanding. We finished with the stuffed calamari, which reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was younger. It wasn't Asian-inspired like hers, but the concept brought back some wonderful memories. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious dessert while feeling pleasantly tipsy from the evening. Another one in our party ordered salmon dinner and french fries. He stated the salmon was pretty dry and it looked at. Sadly wouldn't go there again. I'd give it maybe one star out of five honestly.
