Simple no frills restaurant with friendly staff, reasonably priced food and a menu to satisfy everyone. It was very clean so I see why they have an A rating: I tried the pork chop plate with mac and greens. I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of the greens, it wasn't bad just not for my taste buds. I can't wait to go back and try some breakfast items.

Went here for breakfast with my dining mate. The atmosphere comfortable but certainly needs an update with decore . Our table was wobbly and we had to move it into a stable position. Nice extensive menu and very accomadating waitress. I read some negative reviews on the food and service but our breakfast was delicious and when we paid our check we were asked how we enjoyed our breakfast. We both ordered a 3 egg omelet ( Greek and Vegetarian) plus coffee . I asked for sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes. Food came out hot, plated nicely. Coffee was good and prices reasonable, we would certainly return again

This diner was decent for a quick and casual dinner spot. Near our hotel, lots of food options, and plenty of seating. Service was pretty quick. I got the burger with fries, and it was pretty decent. It's an alright spot for a casual meal if you're in the area.

This place is is more: You're broke and are hungry But, I wanna start by saying, I really love the staff! Ya get the Southern hospitality feel in their tone and mannerism. However, when you go in, you see some food on the floors so I felt a little put off by it. No Napkins on the tables so you have to ask for it . Salad definitely looks homemade. Looks like someone threw it together and I wish the salad filled the whole plate and that it wasn't served on a plate with chipped edges. The fried pickles were good but I didn't expect it to be whole like that and not chip like. The spaghetti was alright but the sauce wasn't acidic so I had to add salt from the table Good portion. The garlic bread I had to pull to even eat it. So.... Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Food: 3

Don't be shy about trying anything on the menu. The lasagna was much better than most Italian restaurants and was very filling. The garlic bread was done well and was able to get the last of the sauce on the plate. The squash was perfect. Crispy on outside, tender in the middle. The fries are what I believe to be some of the best fries around. Good texture, hot and was more than enough for the meal. Chicken tenders. Perfect. Seasoned well, hot and tasty. Never disappointed with this choice. I've worked my way through half the menu and all is worthy of a review. NCFOODGUY

They were out of rye bread so I had mine on white bread. The Reuben looked more like dry jerky than anything else. Two people in our party ordered cheese omelettes. They didn't look like any omelette that I've ever seen. They simply look like a couple fried eggs folded in half with cheese in the center. Another one in our party ordered salmon dinner and french fries. He stated the salmon was pretty dry and it looked at. Sadly wouldn't go there again. I'd give it maybe one star out of five honestly. Very disappointing.

We started with the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned and Pineapple Express--they have such a great cocktail menu! The Yogurt Parfait was the perfect bite with fresh berries, honey, Greek yogurt, and crispy granola. My husband ordered the Grit Bowl with creamy pimento cheese, pulled pork, an over-easy egg, and spicy mayo. Talk about comfort food done right! My girlfriend got the Burger, and it was amazing! The combination of pimento cheese and bacon jam was SO good. I went with the Biscuit Bake--creamy sausage gravy, aged cheddar, bacon, and an over-easy egg. Another totally drool-worthy bite! Everything was delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and the whole experience was a win. We will definitely be back!

The beer on tap was all good, local brews, and just happened to be $5 per draft on Thursdays! I got the original burger, because it was national burger day. Overall, good flavor and execution (except maybe a little salty). I ordered the sweet potato fries on the side and was disappointed when they came out covered in cinnamon and sugar. This was not mentioned on the menu or anywhere else. Had I known, I would have requested them to come without it.

I got the Cuban flatbread, daughter artichoke spinach potstickers and my wife the salmon salad. Everybody loved it. Brandy was our server and was great. It took a bit from there, but we definitely arrived at a weird time, so that's not a negative. We ordered the cauliflower nugs and edamame as apps and both were spot on. The flavors were great! Loved the sauces and texture of the cauliflower (literally cooked perfectly - crispy but definitely cooked without being mushy - if you order cauliflower you know that I mean here!). The hot honey chicken sandwich was HUGE. The smashburger was delicious. And, the Brussels and fries were perfect sides. This place is legit. The venue is not big, but it's inviting to a trendy crowd. If you need 5 star elegance - skip it. But, if you want great flavors and perfectly cooked food in a fun atmosphere- check this out! Worth it!

Sometimes, all you need to do is walk into a nearby Diner. A Diner is a place where you can truly immerse yourself in wonderful American traditions, experience genuine respect for others, and get a feeling for what a particular neighborhood is all about. It's not simply a place to have breakfast. It's a small but important part of the community -- a place where, over a cup of coffee and a good meal, you can feel the local atmosphere, see the people, hear their conversations, and, for a little while, become part of everyday American life. Today, our family breakfast turned into a wonderful collection of bright emotions and pleasant discoveries. Completely by chance, we discovered a beautiful new place in North Carolina -- Big View Diner. And the experience begins even before you walk through the door. You immediately notice how clean and well-kept everything is. Once inside, you are welcomed by beautiful design, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and, most importantly, genuine human kindness. Today, our wonderful experience was made even better by Maria, the lovely and friendly young woman who took care of us. Her beautiful Spanish smile, natural Latin warmth and hospitality, combined with attentive yet professional and never intrusive service, made us feel welcome from the very first minute. And then comes the most important part -- the food! The wonderful kitchen team, using fresh ingredients from local markets and farmers' markets, turns an ordinary breakfast into a little work of culinary art. And it is in places like this that you realize something very simple: American culture is not only about skyscrapers, highways, and big cities. It is also about small neighborhood Diners where the tradition of meeting, talking, sharing a smile, and simply enjoying time together is still alive. Today we experienced exactly that -- warmth, hospitality, wonderful service, delicious food, and the feeling that we had discovered another little corner of the real America. A big thank-you to Maria and the entire Big View Diner team for giving our family such a wonderful morning! Sometimes, you don't need to search for something grand to feel the soul of America. All you need to do is walk into a good Diner.

Updated. We came in the restaurant not greeted by anyone. I…read moresaw the hostess was behind the counter and asked if we seat ourselves. She told us we could sit anywhere. We sat ourselves. Our waitress came to our table and asked what are you drinking? She brought our drinks to the table. Then left, came back a few more minutes and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order. Might I add it really wasn't busy at the time and the food doesn't take very long to deliver. After we were waiting, a table of nine came in and sat down. They placed their order. Our waitress did come by a few minutes later and drop two pitchers off of drinks for our refills but after this we didn't see her again. The table of nine received their food. At this point we had been waiting for about thirty minutes. I asked a different waitress at this time if she could check on order as it had been a bit since we placed ours. She acknowledged this and went to find our waitress. The other waitress we asked to check on our food then came back asking what we had ordered. Ready to take our order again. I got up and came around the corner to find our waitress going through the tickets at the register. That's when she proceeds to say that she can't find our ticket. That she handed it off to the kitchen but the kitchen didn't have the ticket. I asked her two questions. How did she lose the ticket and how does she not check on her tables? She pushed the blame to everyone else and never offered to make it right. That's when we decided to leave and not wait any longer. When we came back around the corner our old waitress asked the other waitress what we were doing and she said they're leaving. The initial waitress then shrugged her shoulders at us. I asked for a manager and then was told they wouldn't do anything. The service here is awful. I have been coming for years. Unfortunately the waitresses do not care to check on your table nor your order. We just waited over thirty minute for our order that never came. People came in behind us only to get their food. The waitress told me she couldn't find our ticket. No offers to make things right. Told me don't bother talking with a manager because she had been there for thirty years and he would do nothing about it. Wow! Let down.
