I have been to other locations and looked forward to having one nearby. I've been there 3 times and I will not go back. The wait time is ridiculous. We were seated quickly and given a coffee pot and water carafe. Then we waited more than 30 minutes for anyone to come back. We even went and found our waiter and told him we needed service. He seated and served the coffee/water to two other tables and disappeared, still not checking on us. When the food was served they stepped up the service but I'm over it. Probably one of my favorite brunch spots I've ever been to. The atmosphere is so nice- a bit loud, but it's still good to have conversations in. The food is IMMACULATE. I loved all of it. We walked in and waited 5 minutes at the front before being greeted or sat. The guy who finally sat us wasn't friendly at all! Finally got a table then waited 15 minutes to be greeted by our server who also wasn't friendly. We ordered and our food was okay- we got the turkey burger which was decent- not much flavor. And the "salad" on the side was terrible- literally leaves and some tangy dressing. Our server didn't check on us once after taking our order. She didn't even get us our check, another server did. Good food! However poor service. We were not greeted when we walked in and waited before we figured out we had to go to the cashier to be seated. If she's busy with customers then you wait until she's finished. We were seated about 5 minutes before a server approached us and we ordered coffee. Unfortunately we didn't have any spoons to stir the coffee so after waiting another 5 minutes we went looking for napkins and silverware. Another 10 minutes and our server took our order. Food took only about 10 minutes and was good. Our server didn't check on us to see if the meal was to our satisfaction until we were almost finished. Tried to get ketchup but couldn't get ours or any other servers attention. The quickest thing about this place is how fast the check comes. What is it about this place? It was only half full if that and yet all the servers are running around like they're busy, busy, busy! They drop off your food and hurry away like they're afraid you're going to say/ask something. I ordered to go here for the first time but it wasn't the most organized place. They brought out the wrong order the first time. I took it back in and they told me they would bring my order out when ready which was supposed to be at 11:29. I returned the wrong to go order at 11:25. At 11:45 I went in to see where my order was and it was sitting there. They had no "front" curbside pick up like they say online when you order. Great food! Many healthy options to choose from! The only downside is trying to check out. They really need to work on a more convenient way to pay. It takes a long time to get someone to take your payment and there is often a very long line waiting to pay. Perhaps it would be beneficial to have a designated cashier. read more

I have been coming to First Watch for years, but I must say, this is the worst experience I have ever had there. Coming from someone who has worked in a restaurant for years, I fully understand how things can be difficult during a rush; customers are needy, time-management can be hard to maintain, and the weeds are inevitable. I get it, I do. But our server Brenda definitely could take a few pointers. Not only was she short with us from the very beginning, but she consistently made US feel as though we were a burden. She did not introduce herself, she borderline cut us off each time we would ask for something (i.e. water, coffee, the rest of our order that hadn't made it to the table yet), she would not communicate anything with us about our food/ consistently avoided discussing anything with us by NEVER checking on us even though she would constantly pass by our table, and she never apologized for her shortcomings (forgetting to bring water, forgetting to bring items we ordered, etc.) While I do understand being in the midst of a rush is very difficult, especially as well as maintaining a friendly demeanor, it seems as though someone should let her know that that IS apart of the job. Being friendly can go a long way, as well as just letting people know what's going on. Brenda needs to work on her time management skills, her people skills, and especially her listening skills. We all have our bad days, but at least most of us know how to apologize for our behavior when things get out of hand. read more

Filed a complaint with corporate about not getting my food and the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant. Corporate emailed saying how sorry they were and they'd send me a gift card to try restaurant again. They asked for my address got my information etc but we never got a gift card or heard from them again. read more

When we walked in a few people were waiting and there were open tables so it didn't look like it would be a long wait. We checked in and they said we'd get a text when our table was ready. After waiting 20-25 minutes I checked in to see how much longer and it was another 20-25 minutes!!! Ok, if they know it's a 45 minute wait they NEED TO TELL PEOPLE THIS. We shouldn't have to ask. I felt swindled. There's coffee in the waiting area which is nice but it was empty the whole time we were there. We ordered right away when we sat down but the food took forever. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food and then were told sorry and they would comp the meal the waited another 25 minutes and food still hadn't arrived and was told our ticket still wasn't on to be cooked by our waitress. This place is great to have brunch with family and friends and afterwards spend a few hours walking around shopping in the Glade Plaza. When we arrived on a busy Sunday morning, the wait for indoor seating was about 1 hour. We opted for outdoor and was seated immediately. It was a cool, windy morning, but it didn't bother us as the temperature inside was too stuffy for our comfort. Our table ordered the eggs Benedict, bacardo, cobb salad and turkey egg. Upon entering the light, clean, energizing atmosphere, I was immediately impressed by the ambiance. We were greeted and seated immediately by the manager. Our server was very helpful in answering our questions about the extensive menu - anything you want for breakfast, brunch or lunch, they have or can modify a menu dish to suit your needs. It took a little time for the order to reach our table, but was worth every second of waiting. My son had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon - his favorite, a nice presentation and a large delicious serving. His wife ordered the Quinoa Bowl with chicken, roasted tomatoes, greens and basil pesto sauce. Wow! I had the Chai Pancakes - three medium sized ones made with whole grain, topped with granola, FRESH raspberries and banana slices, finishing with a splash of warmed real maple syrup. My mouth still tingles thinking of the goodness of that combination with a side of the best bacon ever. Did we enjoy it??? You bet. I decided to give this location a second try. I was once again disappointed. The service is really lacking. We were seated by a young lady who took our drink orders. We received our drinks and looked over the menu. About 15 minutes passed and no one came to take our food order. Finally a young man came from the table next to us and asked if we were ready to order yet. I asked if I could get regular cream, instead of flavored as he left with our food order. He never returned with any, so I found the cream in one of the bowls at a different table. My daughter joined us late and we had to grab someone else to get her order, because our original server did not return. Some one else brought our food to the table. My daughter had ordered tea when she placed her order. She had to stop some one else because it was never brought to the table. I had high hopes for this place as my friend at A&M always goes in the College Station location. Sadly, this is one of the worst dining experiences I've had for brunch! When we arrived, we were seated at a table that was super dirty underneath. I don't mind like little bits and dust, but there was large chunks of food and piles of leaves under our table (mind you, this was inside the restaurant). Our waiter came over and we asked him (very nicely) if he could get someone to sweep. He said ok, but no one ever came to sweep. Actually, after the waiter took our order, we never saw him again until he brought the check. My mom ordered an omelet and I had the Floridian French Toast. When the food runner brought the food out, my mom's omelet was super dry, as was my french toast. The french toast also was just the normal french toast. It didn't have fruit on it like the Floridian French Toast was supposed to. Our waiter never came to see how we were doing, so I could not tell anyone my order was wrong and my mom couldn't get ketchup for her omelet. My mom and I were the only non-white people eating, but I don't want to make any assumptions. Overall, it was a really bad experience (service AND food) and I will not be giving this place (at least this location) another try. read more

Our party of 4 was looking forward to trying this newer location out for my birthday--we had a very disappointing experience. We did not get a place in line ahead of time and only had to wait about 20 minutes or so for our table, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. It was 35 min to receive our food (all breakfast items, so should have been much quicker turnaround). Once it arrived, 2 of our party's dishes were cold. One was blueberry pancakes-whipped butter would not melt at all once spread. The other was eggs Benedict. My son said the eggs were poached well but there was no hollandaise sauce (it seemed to be runny egg yolks instead of true hollandaise) and all was cold. The rest of us received warm dishes, although my husband said his breakfast potatoes were not cooked through. My lemon ricotta pancakes and sausage links were excellent, so I was the only one with no complaints. We couldn't get the server's attention for many minutes (she never came out of the kitchen after delivering our food). By the time we were able to flag her down, the 2 of us with warm food were 1/2 done. She offered to have the other 2 remade, but we figured it would take too long and declined. She could tell we were quite unhappy and said she would send a manager over, but at least another 10 minutes went by before we saw anyone and it was another employee who offered to clear our dishes. We never saw a manager. Our server brought our check and she said her manager had taken the two cold meals off the check. This is a fairly new location as it opened in November and they have a lot of kinks to work out. Too many other good breakfast locations around us to go here again and doubt that we will return. read more
