I've never had a bad experience at a First Watch, and yesterday's visit was no exception. Our server was very sweet and prompt, and my colleague and I both enjoyed our meals. I would highly recommend the veggie burger, and you can never go wrong with a brioche bun! The side salad was a a very generous portion, as well. I ordered their Traditional Breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, diced potatoes, buttered toast, and strawberry jam preserve, plus water. The other day, I ordered tap water to go with a spaghetti and meatballs platter at a nearby pizza place and the waitress gave me a small hotel-room sized plastic cup of water. However, First Watch brought me a foot-high glass vase full of cold water good for multiple refills. The food tasted good. Most impressive was the bacon. I'm so used to places giving me just two or three skinny slices of bacon. First Watch gave me a half dozen large thick bacon strips. The strawberry preserve was a nice added touch to the meal. The only constructive criticism I can offer is that there only were three occupied tables, including me, that early on a Monday, yet they seated us in booths back-to-back-to-back with the remainder of the restaurant unoccupied. There was like a 7 year old boy in the booth right behind my seat opposite his mother. He wasn't a bad boy but a tad precocious. I really only ate there a couple of times but it looks like they have a lot of food that has a lot of stuff in it that I don't eat. I'm a clean food eater and I guess First watches for people that don't watch their diet. Been coming to this FirstWatch location for years. Solid food, great ingredients, some fun and atypical food combinations keep us interested and coming back for more. Service and quality this go round were not what we are accustomed to at this location. We didn't recognize any of the stuff, and were quietly told that there was a management change and a lot of turnover in the last 3-6 months. Across the table from pancakes to a skillet the food was all average. Pancakes lacked their typical oomph. We'll be back but this gives us an opportunity to try some other new things while management stabilizes. read more

We came here as a family twice during a vacation last week. It was hit-and-miss. Our first visit was on a weekday morning, and things went well. Service was fast and friendly. The food was pretty good, although I was a bit disappointed with my omelette (the tri-athelete). I'm used to very tasty, healthy breakfasts at Canadian restaurants like Cora. First Watch isn't that level of quality. However, my family enjoyed their lattes and waffles. I would have given it 4-stars. However, our second visit was less positive. We came on a Saturday around lunch time. It was very, very busy. We waited 25-30 minutes for a seat, and then service was unfortunately slow. The waitress was trying very hard, but she was clearly frustrated by the speed (or lack thereof) of the kitchen. Our drinks came out immediately, but the food took another 30 minutes to arrive. And then, it arrived in stages. Three of our five members got their food, leaving the other two people to wait for another 10 minutes. Half our party was done by the time the rest of the food came out. This time, I had the turkey burger which was just ok. Not great. My critique isn't aimed at the wait staff, who was awesome. This used to be my favorite breakfast spot and location. Last two times I have visited have been extremely disappointing. The entire staff has changed. And it wasn't for the better. This location always had a wait to get in, now many tables are empty, employees walking around but not serving customers. Last two times I had to ask for someone come give us some drinks and take our order. Food quality has dropped too. I came here for Mother's Day and my family and I enjoyed a nice breakfast. I saw that they made some changes to their menu and they also have pressed juices. I ordered a fresh-pressed kale juice which tasted delicious! It wasn't too "earthy" and had the right amount of natural sweetness. I ordered their lemon pancakes. I thought the lemon would have been incorporated in the batter but it was a plop of lemon custard on top that was a bit too strong. It was still good but just too overpowering for me. This was my first time at a First Watch, and it did not disappoint. My family was going to be in the area to run some errands, so we decided to get a late breakfast before we started. We went on Yelp and put our names on the waitlist, as there was already a 30 minute wait. I highly suggest you putting your name on the waitlist, as it makes it easier to get seated. We used our travel time while on the list, and only ended up waiting about 5 minutes once we arrived. It was very efficient. Our waitress was pretty good, although she did forget a few things we asked for. We each ordered coffee, and I really liked that they leave the carafe on the table, so you can refill yourself. The food was fanatic! I ordered the egg sandwich, and the avocado on top was really fresh. We all shared the multigrain pancakes, and I surprisingly loved it! I wasn't sure if this healthy pancake was going to have any flavor, but it did. Everyone else really enjoyed their food as well. It came out super fast, probably only about 15 minutes after we placed our orders. This place is definitely a delicious breakfast spot! The menu is large enough for you to find something yummy. This is the third location I have tried and compared to the one in wellington the coffee is much better here. The location of this one is in a terrible trafficked plaza where parking is a nightmare and so many "Do Not Enter" dead ends that I really do not understand. The location is terrible, but if you go once you'll learn to better navigate it, so it's not a deal-breaker. The over-priced food that takes a LONG time to be made fresh might be if you are in a hurry, but maybe it's the lack of flavor that will have you only try this place once and not three times like me Even so, keep in mind the following when reading my review: I think a great breakfast place must have AMAZING coffee and or pancakes/waffles. Without that, I rarely enjoy it. I want to like this restaurant, I tell myself people love this place and so will I. However, the pancakes were flat, the coffee isn't consistent, and this last visit I tried the healthy turkey omelet which was oily and bland but served hot. All that to say, this last experience has me thinking this might not be the place for me. Our server is very sweet, kind, and attentive. The location is always clean. The portions are very generous and the options are plenty. Their style of charging for food doesn't fit my ideal breakfast combination and the taste doesn't fit me either. I just want sunny side up eggs or egg white, with my pancakes or waffle that doesn't cost me $20. However, because it is considered a "healthier" option and the 3rd location I tried had much better coffee than the first location. I gave this place 3/5 stars. Again, I think I don't like this place because I want great coffee and pancakes at a reasonable price. You may enjoy some of the other items. One thing is being a dog lover another is actually bringing your dog to a restaurant. COME ON PEOPLE. You want to sit your dog at the table in your house is one thing. But to bring the ANIMAL to a restaurant where others eat is selfish. The lady was feeding the dog at the table. I wanted to vomit. Hello people, you do know a dog licks it's a$$ and all other parts and everything it sees on the streets. I see this and I automatically think here goes another stupid ass.... At least these dogs were outside but restaurants that allow dogs in their facility should be reported to the city and closed down. If I brought my pet rat to the restaurant I'm sure people would not like it. Don't get me wrong I love dogs as a pet, in my house or a dog park. Not at a restaurant or supermarket. This place has great food! My partner and I always order for pickup so we never had the in house experience. First time ordered they had these mini donuts with a chocolate dip, please bring that back! I ordered the salmon and veggie frittata and let me tell you, every time I order it I'm never disappointed. On my last visit, It was not very busy restaurant was not full we may have gotten a new or inexperienced waitress, service was not good, he took very long to get our food to the table and it arrived cold and was not fresh and he had an attitude! First the review is not about the food it's fine. The place was less than half full when we sat down. Took a while 10 minutes for the waitress to recognize our presence. Coffee and hot tea ordered another 10 minutes. Ordered the "Georgia" pancakes (pecans) and the waitress had to go and find out if they still do that. Another10. Pancakes arrived along with our other meal. Oops, forgot syrup tried to hail someone to get butter and syrup to no avail another 7 minutes. A dirty water glass was placed and left on our table after the neighboring table rejected it. The waitress took the coffee urn to "freshen it up." There was no return with the urn. When we checked out I asked the manager if he had trained the waitress; he stated that he had trained some of them. I explained the much less than sterling service and he just said that he had just been transferred. Gee, I wonder why? He said you should have called me. I told him he went by our table numerous times and never looked at any one other than to seat them. I asked him where in the hell did he go to management school! If you like decent breakfast food and don't mind service that can be measured on a calendar , have at it! Update: 6.20.2017 2 stars to 5 We chanced to try this First Watch again.
