I've been coming to this First Watch for breakfast for over seven years, and it has never disappointed. The food is consistently excellent, fresh, well-prepared, and always high quality. The service is friendly, attentive, and efficient every single time, with excellent staff retention. In Florida we had a Bad experience 2/22/26 at this location with service. Our party of 6 was seated quickly, and drinks came out shortly after. Some of our orders had a few allergy restrictions, but should not have caused a gap in food delivery between each person for over 40 minutes. They could not get my order figured out and when they finally did, I had 2 separate orders come out that neither were exactly right. Our waitress was friendly and personable, as they almost all are at FW. The summer menu Banana French Toast was, in a word, ludicrous... in the best of ways. The Honey/Butter biscuits they are hocking, however, are must skips... they taste like microwaved frozen cornbread bites. Parking at this particular location is worth mentioning, in that it is horrible (just a tight square surrounding most of the building with 4 nasty blind turns). read more

It's nice to avoid the weekend brunch rush - I had zero wait time. In fact, hostess saw me coming and opened the door. I chose an outdoor seat - limited spaces in this particular location - and was immediately greeted by a server who just KNEW I was going to need a carafe of their strong hot coffee . I needed a few minutes to make my decision, but my server was back quickly to take my order of barbacoa chilaquiles! The food didn't take long to arrive, and it was plated well and tasted great - perfect balance of smoky and bright from the cream sauce and lime wedge! I enjoyed my meal in complete peace, and my server checked on me enough times to not feel ignored. The decor inside resembled the same farm to table ambiance I'm accustomed to at other locations, and appeared clean and well kept. First time at this location, overall good experience. The food came out in a timely manner and quality was good and consistent with other locations. The staff was friendly, but feel my server went missing a few times, but think they just sat her with tables spread out too much, so service kind of fell off a bit unfortunately. Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends. I recommend parking in the larger center lot behind First Watch and walking up, otherwise you might get stuck in a tight spot. Really love this place but it's so painfully painfully cold that I couldn't enjoy my meal. We asked to have the air turned off especially because everyone around us was also rubbing their hands together and putting on sweaters. Went back again. The waitress was very obviously taking care of a VIP and ignored my party. Gave our order to the waitress for the table next to ours and she said she would give the order to our server. Our food came out sometime forever later by servers from what appeared to be another restaurant at the same time as parties that arrived much later than we did. Soup arrived same time as entreé. We met our dedicated waitress when it was time to get the check. Food was good tho. Something has to be done about the service and cleanliness of this location. This time I brought my kids along and decided to try something new on the menu, the avocado toast. I was so pleased because it was beyond delicious. Since I already love avocados, it made perfect sense to order it and the way they prepared it was just right. We order from the Deerfield location often and usually consistently good. However, this last time on Sunday 10/5/25, my order came with hair in it. Totally not cool! FIRST WATCH SHOULD HAVE RULES ABOUT FOOD PREPARERS TO WEAR HAIR NETS OR SUCH. THE HAIR WAS LONG AND BLOND AND I COULD NOT EVEN FINISH MY BREAKFAST, AS I was utterly grossed out and disgusted. The food is always great here. My experience with take out service? Slow, unhelpful even though it was a slow time (1pm). They didn't make the coffee as requested but didn't explain that they don't do that. Simple communication skills by the woman who took the order via phone (which they must not like doing...if you phone in, they are pretty terrible at it) Again, I enjoy their food and will certainly be back but they can and should communicate better and when dissatisfaction is expressed they might want to fake like they care After eating, it looks like Vanessa who took the order, prepared the coffee black with a bit of room and put all the stuff in the sealed To Go bag. I didn't realize this. On the bag, she got my name incorrect which may have impacted the man who took my cash. I paid a little over $20 cash (no receipt given) and he said that my food wasn't ready. So I waited a while along with another customer who saw an order that had been sitting there (since before I arrived) with a coffee like I was waiting for. We looked at it and saw the incorrect name with the correct order. When the man who took my money came back he said "Oh, it must have just been put there" but that's not true. It was there the entire time I was waiting. The delicious maple bacon croissant was pretty darn soggy from waiting and my coffee was Luke warm - and the guy? I expressed my dissatisfaction about a few things and he could not have cared less. He was engaging while taking my money, extolling the virtues of the sandwich but he left my product getting soggy. It was still great and I'll be back but thought you should know. This is probably one of the best meals i've had in FL. I ordered the special BEC sandwich and it was f**** AMAZING. I am a chef myself so I am a tough critic. I was genuinely impressed by their use of ingredients. Really good value- the sandwich was huge, and came with a generous side of breakfast potatoes. (Those could use some work) The aioli and peppers on the sandwich was chefs kiss and a unique twist that I really enjoyed. My total for all of that and a whole pot of coffee was $20! As this is a chain, food and service can vary greatly between locations. I had a pleasant experience at this Deerfield Beach location. We came in around mid-morning. We were seated quickly and our server offered us hot coffee. While my guest I came with accepted, I declined, and immediately my server offered to get me some juice or another beverage. I ordered the Carmel Honey Crunch iced coffee. It was presently beautifully and also tasted delicious. The only downside is that while the hot coffee has free refills, the iced coffee does not. I understand specialty iced coffees can't offer that, but I think it's fair to offer a free refill of just a plain iced coffee. Of course that's a chain-wide policy, not specific to this location. For food, we ordered the normal French toast and the Sunny Seoul Hash. For the hash, you are able to select how you would like your eggs done. This was absolutely delicious and filling. The French toast was also very good, but definitely not as filling. To pay, the receipt that the server brings actually has the option to pay via phone. You scan a QR code (or manually enter a code on the website provided) and you're able to pay your bill. It was very easy to do. The inside fits quite a few people and most seating is booth-style with tables in between. There are also about 4 tables outside to eat. read more

We had a birthday breakfast for my dad there this morning. It wasn't too crowded when we got there (around 930 am) but it did pick up by the time we were leaving. Our server, Heaven, was absolutely wonderful. She was cheerful, patient, very friendly and accommodating. My niece has multiple food allergies and they took every precaution to make sure her food was safe. The food was delicious and fresh. It didn't feel like we were eating overly processed food with tons of salt and fat. Even the sweet breakfast options were not TOO sweet. Went to first watch with some friends for brunch. It was a Saturday morning so, first watch was pretty busy however, the service was still good and the food came out a reasonable time and tasted fresh/warm. The menu had many great options to choose from. We had a vegan, vegetarian and a non-veg eater in our party and everyone was satisfied with the options and their meals. My mom and I come here for breakfast every other week. The food, service, and vibe are always on point!

We aren't having much luck with First Watch locally, although we've had very good meals in their other locations. And there's sadly no dependability that each one will be good or not. We had to wait to get seated which we understand, although they were not very busy. When someone finally cleaned/cleared off the booth we wanted, they left the seat wet. I tried to get the attention of the hostess -- who obviously didn't want to be working there by her scowling attitude -- but was ignored. A guy from the kitchen saw me standing and waiting and came over to help. It took a while to get our food after we ordered. If they'd been busy, it would have been okay, but they were not. My husband's egg dish was rather hard and over cooked although I liked the potatoes that came with it. I had their soup and sandwich. The soup of the day was Italian wedding soup. Luckily, I like the little pasta pieces and small meatballs in that kind of soup because there was no broth at all in the cup. And my half sandwich of roast beef was a bit strange. I'd requested no onions which they did. They had copious amounts of sun-dried tomatoes on the sandwich and the cheese was totally melted into the bread. I kept asking is this roast beef, as it didn't taste like it. I thought it was ham as it was very processed and salty. I didn't expect the entire sandwich to be pressed together and grilled, I'd thought just the bread would be toasted. I'd definitely never get that choice again. The server came over with the check -- the first time she'd been by since we got our food. I was still hungry so asked about dessert. She said they only had the one thing -- their featured gingerbread spice donuts. I ordered some of those. She came back quite a while later to bring us more silverware and said, oh, you wanted the donuts. I think she'd forgotten to put the order in. Anyhow, the small fried doughnut balls came out hot. And there were two dipping sauces for them. I didn't taste much gingerbread or spice, however. Now we know. We will keep up the search for another First Watch that is acceptable. read more

We are in constant search of some semblance of consistency at this restaurant chain. We have had some four star and at least one five-star, experiences across the state, but mostly three star experiences at the least. Today's lunch visit didn't make it to a three. As we entered, the hostess was seating a four top at a window table. She returned with an extra menu and immediately left without recognizing our presence. A few minutes passed and a server approached us and asked how many, we identified a window table we wanted, and she said it would have to be cleaned first. A few minutes later a server, (who turned out to eventually be our server), put a wet bussing tub on one of the bench seats and cleared and wiped the table. She left and then a hostess took us to the table with menus. We pointed out the wet bench seat and she said she would get someone to wipe it dry for us. Our server arrived with a coffee pot and asked if we wanted coffee which we declined and ordered water instead. She returned with two glasses and a cold carafe of water. We placed our orders and she left. The place was not very busy, one four top behind me, a two top to the side, a four top behind my wife, and a couple at a booth on the way to the kitchen. After 33 minutes, our entrees arrived. My wife's soup and half sandwich and my Salmon with mixed vegetables Frittata with potatoes and a thin slice of bread, looked nothing like the menu description. I enjoy Quiche and Frittatas and expected a fluffier version on my plate. This frittata however was dry and more of an omelet with some salmon and veggies inside, flipped over and pressed hard flat on the flattop. (I have inspired the creation of the Snickers "hangry" commercials and out of a courtesy to my wife try not to show it ... I eat most anything when I'm hungry). My wife wanted to try the featured dessert, Cinnamon Spiced Doughnuts, and placed the order with our server. NINE minutes later our server brought cutlery to the table and announced she had just put in the order for the doughnuts. Nineteen minutes after the cutlery service was delivered, the Featured doughnuts arrived. When the guy at the cash register asked how we enjoyed lunch, I replied "it was much longer than we expected to spend the bulk of the afternoon on waiting for lunch." I don't usually leave reviews but I felt like this restaurant is something special. The moment i walked in I was immediately greeted with smiles and even had the door opened for me! It took a couple of minutes to be sat. My order was taken by a sweet lady named Lisa. She was the same person who opened the door for me when I walked in.
