Always saw the big bold red and yellow sign Bakery 2000 every time I drove onto 10th Street toward the Sawgrass Expressway. Well, today I finally had time to check it out. Very large two room dining area and a few girls working behind the counter. The baked goods looked fresh and it was busy so thats a good sign. Not much chatter to me by the girls but ordered fast and sst at a table with my wife. The ham & cheese croquette had a nice crispy shell and tasty ham with gooey cheese. No idea what type of coffee blend I had but it tasted good. A simple Bakery 2000 logo stamp on the cup would have been a nice touch. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with black and white almost dipcting a 60's era theme with a double-ring chrome low barstool featuring a black vinyl swivel seat. read more

On my way to Deerfield Beach my hubby and I stopped in to this big cafe for coffee and pastry. The three girls behind the counter seemed stressed with only a couple of customers so had to wait a bit but the ham and cheese croquette and a small coffee were good. It was interesting to learn that this cafe had a big stage for live music with a soccer decor. I would not say that the place is quaint or charming due to its two large rooms. read more

I stopped in for those famous Brazilian cheese breads. This is a Brazilian-style bakery. When I first walked in I was in wow! The dessert counter looked good, especially because I didn't know what it was. The names of the desserts were written in Portuguese but they looked yummy. I didn't get any cakes, but I bought some warm pastries and cheese bread. The cheese bread was a disappointment. They were stale. The other pastries were good. The ham croquettes tasted great. I got this square ham thing that I liked and something else shaped like a triangle. All the pastries tasted good. The service was good and friendly. The lady by the desk spoke little English but we communicated. I was glad I tried this place out. The bakery has a side room with a big TV. This must be a great place to watch a game. Would love to rate their food but sadly I walked out. This place does have a weird ambiance. When I walked in no one greeted me or acknowledged my presence. There was a gentleman inside that appeared to be waiting on his order. No one said anything. 2 minutes later a white or Latin person comes in.... that got their attention. They proceeded to take her order while I'm watching completely confused because I was there first and no one said anything. At the counter were 2 female employees. That was all I needed.. Most of the time, my order gets messed up here. Today was the last straw. I ordered two coxinhas with chicken and cheese and an order of cheese bread. They only gave me one coxinha--and it didn't even have any cheese in it. I was driving and ate one before realizing it had no cheese. I had promised to bring the second one to a friend, but when I got there, it wasn't even in the bag. I called, and they confirmed I was charged for two, then told me to come back. When I did, they only replaced one because I had eaten the first one... even though that one was made wrong in the first place. Did they really want a half-eaten coxinha back? ‍ As someone who works in customer service, I understand mistakes happen--but this was just bad service and poor handling of their own error. It's disappointing because it's the closest Brazilian restaurant to me, but sadly, the service keeps getting worse instead of better. My kids and I love Brazillian that is why I go back. I was drawn into this place by the interesting name. It sounded so futuristic and I was dying to see what the hype was about. I was surprised when I walked in to see a full blown sports bar. They have a giant screen on which soccer was playing at the time. Many people were there enjoying a beer and just relaxing with friends. It was definitely not what I expected, but was a very cool environment. The other half of the building was bakery/cafe style. They had delicious looking treats that had my mouth watering! The case was packed with unique desserts that had me dying to taste them. I finally settled on some sort of chocolate cake that was dusted with gold and looked like a slice straight out of heaven...but turns out looks can be deceiving. The cake was very stale tasting and dry. I wouldn't even use the word dry, because really it was beyond dry. I felt like the cake had been sitting there for well over a week and I immediately regretted my purchase. While I really wanted to love this place, I was severely disappointed and will not be returning. I've been passing by this bakery for over 10 years and never stopped by till now. When I found out it was Brazilian, that excited me more because I LOVE Brazilian pastries. But what takes this place to the next level is the extended room that they have where everyone gathers to watch Fútbol games. Who would've thought about watching soccer in a bakery?! It's such a lively atmosphere here for games, as you watch it on a large screen, and can order savory food (along with the pastries) and beer to add to your experience. Even if you don't watch soccer (like me), being there for when a Brazilian team scores a goal and seeing how everyone reacts is next level! Oh, and the sweets are good! I only ordered a coconut flavored Brigadeiro (in picture), because they are so rich you can only handle one, and it was really nice. Lots of options but didn't have a meat esfirra today only chicken. So we opted out to get pastel de carne. My husband had to wait 30 min for them to make it. We ordered 4. And drove about 45 min to our home. Just to find out when we got home we only had 3 in the bag. We called 10 times no one answers the phone. When we ate the pastel there was barely any meat at all, and the meat tasted like it was made 3 days ago. I would like my refund. Very disappointed. I just read some of the reviews and it seems they do this very often. So my best advice for those with same issues is file a charge back! Drove by and saw this "Bakery 2000" sign from the road and had a sweet tooth. Decided to stop by. Fairly large place with a portion of it used to watch soccer matches while dining. Unfortunately, that's where the novelty ends with Bakery 2000. There with the kids and we all ordered 3 different types of pastries/cake slices and one cafe latte. It was all terrible. The big Y-U-K! The sweets did not taste fresh, rather cold and hard from being refrigerated, sub-par taste at best and this includes the cafe latte. Save yourself some money and time and just wave to Bakery 2000 as you drive by it on your way to what has to be a better bakery anywhere down the road. read more

Really bad experience. Use to be good, but since June of 2020 , the service decreased to a level that I never saw. Ok they really raised their prices, but it would be ok , if the service was good. The bakery honestly is one of the better ones in the area but definitely none beat Casa do Pão on 441. They have a wide variety of brazilian favorites and the pastel is fried on the spot but does take about 30 minutes and you can't complain só smile and be patient. The 3 stars is due to the exceptionally disrespectful and awful service from the girls who serve the public. If you're a woman, make sure to go in with a man and ask them to order for you because they are all over the men who walk into this place and completely ignore you. They smile, flirt, and hit on them right in front of you. I guess she thought I didn't speak Portuguese but you could tell just by the promiscuous behavior and body language even if you didn't. This Brazilian bakery conveniently close to my work is my morning stop when I need breakfast. This is a simple place with simple food, and if you stop by you must have their coffee latte and the French bread. To me the perfect breakfast is simple and is composed of a good strong latte and a buttery toasted baguette, and they have it here. That is why they have me coming back over and over. They also have sandwiches, croquettes, empanadas, coxinha (Brazilian chicken croquette) pizzas, smoothies, cakes... The service can be slow at times, so it's not a good option if you are in a hurry, they are very nice though. When I go I always stick to what they do best: coffee and bread. They also have a side room where they air soccer matches at night and during the weekends. They also have a beer bar that makes it very nice to watch the soccer finals with all the heat, the commotion, and the celebration that Brazilians are known for. Goooooaaaaallllllll!!!! read more

Eventually he goes black? ' and I tell him that one has 2 milk, the other one cream. We both get some watered down, assumably milk, in both coffee's in a ghetto looking Styrofoam cup. I have visited this place twice, and the attitude (from the same girl) is day and night. First time she was very nice and even accommodating, and second, when she realized I did not speak Portuguese, she first ignored me. Had a second person take my order only to say "hold on a minute" and ended with her taking my order again by starting with "what do you want". Where to begin? Awful experience that got me sick. I don't recommend and I obviously will not be going back. I ordered pão de queijo, esfiha de carne (meat empanada), kibeh and coxinha com catupiry. Here's the review of each: - Pão de Queijo: it's was fresh out of the oven and it looked really appetizing at the store...upon first bite realized that's absolutely the worst pão de queijo I have ever had. - Esfiha de carne: it was so hard that I could used it as a hammer! Perhaps a brick would be softer! The dough was extremely dry! The meat tasted old. One bite and the whole thing went to the garbage. - Kibeh: It was the only thing decent...I am not a raving fan but edible. - Coxinha com catupiry: wow! That was the AWFUL!!! Truly disgusting! First of all no catupiry unless you count a dime size amount at the top. The chicken had too much food coloring...it should be criminal!!! Don't these people know that YELLOW COLORANT ITS CANCEROUS?! please google that! NASTY!!! It's not only dangerous for your health, as it does not add anything to the food besides a horrible artificial after taste. I took one big bite and spit the rest of it... It was that awful! Not only that, but I've been throwing-up for the past minutes... STAY AWAY from these specific items! My husband described his experience as sub-par at best and he only took one bite at the Esfiha.
