After a long morning of fasting and getting bloodwork done at Quest, I found this bakery since it was close by. The moment I walked in, I was amazed by how cute and beautifully decorated the place was. I ordered a croissant to go along with a couple of macarons. When I got home, I made myself some Turkish coffee and had the croissant it was absolutely delicious. The service was very good, and the bakery had so many beautiful options to choose from. I ordered a feta cheese tomato Quiche And had to send it back It was very disappointing And it was overwhelmed by feta cheese and salty ! Very little egg soufflé like it should be done And it was soggy and thin ! The deserts look beautiful and gross tasting .. I had ordered mini deserts to check them out and was very pleased w taste and appearance! I also bought a bread from the place a French baguette which was ok By the way I mentioned that to a server and see if they will exchange the quiche for a regular Loraine quiche .. the server said they will need to charge it again ! This French bakery is wonderful. They make everything fresh daily and important their ingredients from France. The chef comes to work early every morning and bake all these delicious little things. It was kinda cool that you can see him baking in the back. It was hard to pick when everything looks so good. I came in the afternoon. I got an almond croissant and a Pistachio and almond dessert. But when friends mentioned meeting up at Pascal & Cathy Bakery, I was happy to try a new place. Sunday late in the morning, the tables outside were quite bustling on a beautiful weather day. Inside, this bakery is absolutely charming. There are some tables as well. The display cases are so inviting with various pastries, cookies, macaroons, gelato, and more. The people behind the counter could not be more friendly. My husband decided to order the Croque Madame, and I went with the brie and butter sandwich on a baguette. Our items came out quickly along with the lattes that we ordered. They took the time to put hearts in the milk foam. My coffee was delicious. I loved my sandwich and my husband was absolutely obsessed with his meal. You can also order the Croque to go, and they provide you with the heating instructions. On our way out, we got a turkey- shaped linzer cookie. The cookie was absolutely decadent with a beautiful berry filling and a nice dusting of confectionery sugar. Definitely the best linzer cookie I have ever had. Next time... and there will definitely be a next time...I have to try their macaroons. This is my go to be and brunch spot when in the Fort Lauderdale/ Pompano Beach area. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable his skill with pastries and chocolate is top notch! We purchased a birthday cake for my daughter 15th birthday and have been going back again and again over the last 3 years. We entered the front door and found a small area with tables and 3 large cases of pastries, sweets, savory bites and ice cream. There were also a few tables outdoors. We were greeted and served at the counter rather quickly. We ordered coffee, a latte and a baguette with butter. We also got a plain and almond croissant. The coffee and latte were very good. The bread was much heavier than we expected although the crust was wonderful and it had an overall good flavor. I went on Sunday with a group of (10) people. The organizers called the coffee shop a head of time, and was told that they do not reserve tables. At this point she should have chosen a different venue. The place is very small. There was a table that sat there chatting for 2 hours, and kids drew pictures. The waiters are extremely helpful in picking out some of the best pastries. Just make sure you get there early because they are often sold out by the afternoon. This place is very popular, I walked in and there was a fairly long line. Everything in their case looks amazing. They sell gelato, and chocolate croissants, Nutella croissants, raspberry croissants, pistachio croissants , doughnuts and quiche. They also sell baguettes and other homemade breads. We ordered a mini Nutella croissant, the quiche of the day (mozzarella, tomato and mustard), a croque madame and a cappuccino. $36 which I think is reasonable for the quality and freshness of items. As a review upon his first bite of his croque, my partner said "oh my goodness". We both spent the rest of the meal talking about how good the items were and so flavorful and fresh. We ate inside as there is plenty of seating indoors and out. The owner brought us our food and even included waters and checked in on us mid way through the meal. I really liked that you could see the bakery where they made everything fresh. The establishment is named after the owners Pascal and Cathy Fontana. Wow! I wish this amazing bakery was closer to me! I came around 1pm on Sunday - 2 hours before closing - luckily they had the raspberry croissant. This raspberry croissant is the best I have ever had - even better than all the French bakeries including Dominique Ansel's in NYC! The flour and butter is shipped from France! This pastry is so light and airy that after eating you don't feel that heaviness in your gut. It looks like I'll be driving up more often to try the beignets and their French baguette. The prices were also not listed anywhere on their menu, take out menu nor restaurant menu. 1 coffee, an Americano, 1 tuna, and 1 salmon the total was close to $45. This is my 3rd time at Pascal and Cathy Bakery. The first time I only tried their Nutella Croissant, second time I got their Pistachio Roll and Chocolate Twist but they had their Croque Monsieur samples and today I finally had my Croque Monsieur and Hazelnut Latte which were perfect. We had a good lunch here at this newly opened bakery and cafe the other day. We ordered at the counter -- unfortunately they didn't have the pizza that I'd read about here -- and paid and they brought our food out to us. We came in the back side of the restaurant/bakery. There is also an entrance on the other side, too. We were able to park right nearby. We were planning to sit inside as it was raining, but it was freezing cold inside so we chose an outside table. Not sure if they keep it so cold because of the chocolates or what... My husband ordered an individual sized tomato and cheese quiche which they heated up in a mini oven. I got to steal a taste. The inside was light and fluffy. He quite liked it. I got a chicken sandwich on a baguette. It was white meat chicken breast sliced thin with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber along with slices of hard boiled eggs. There was mayo on the bread -- that tasted home made. The sandwich was very good. The baguette (or you could have it on a croissant) was wonderfully rustic and crusty and all the veggies crisp. I'd get it again, but maybe leave off the mayo (due to the extra calories). My husband couldn't resist getting a couple mini lemon tarts for dessert. They were lovely to look at. And we took an apple pastry home with us. You can eat in or take your food to go. Either way, do make sure you go inside to look at all the pastries, macrons, breads, and chocolates in the display cases. Some of the designs are just so darn pretty; some quite cleverly shaped; and some creative masterpieces. If your budget allows, you will find it hard to choose from among the options.
