I was on vacation and I wanted to try Octopus for the 2nd time but this time, from a location that was on the ocean. This place was absolutely amazing. The ambiance was so inviting from the moment we walked in. The place was clean and well lit. We were first drawn to their dessert case.,everything looked delicious. Of course I ordered octopus and it was simply delicious...it had me humming, so moist and tender. The potatoes were delicious too. Everyone I went with enjoyed their food. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Before leaving we all bought a different dessert to take back to our Airbnb for everyone to share. I'm glad I stopped in. I was looking for a spot to get juice and a snack. I stopped in here and ordered empanadas and a pineapple juice. I also ordered coffee. Hubby tried two different empanadas, I got chicken bahiano. He said the beef empanada was good The garlic fries were bland My meal was meh. Went for dinner. Not many people were there so I assume it's more of a breakfast and lunch place. The first thing you see is the bakery case. Lots of pastry and a variety of empanadas. We had empanadas for an appetizer. All three kinds were very good. Dinner was salads, soups, lasagna, and a variety of milanesa (chicken or beef cutlets) entrees and sandwiches. Portions are large so you will have a second meal. I had a beautiful chicken milanesa sandwich on fresh bread. The bread was great but the chicken was tough. I couldn't bite cleanly through parts of it. It came with a side, I had a very nice salad. Took a couple of bakery items to go with our leftovers. Nonna's has a diner atmosphere and service was OK. I'll probably go back and try breakfast but look elsewhere for dinner. read more

We wanted to go to the lighthouse and came here for a quick bite to eat. The restaurant itself seems to be family owned. They are a mix of Argentinian and Italian. Come here ready to eat. The food portions are pretty big but they are filling. The staff is super nice and helpful. Great playlists as well. Make sure to park right in front of the restaurant because the one next door isn't so friendly with parking and they can tow. The desserts are amazing. I am going back just for that! read more

I had to serve our table by bringing our coffee and waters from the counter because the 2 servers were way over their head. The rest of the tables around us were not even getting servers. I've never posted a derogatory comment on any business. I simply stop giving them my business. Unfortunately I feel the need to share the atrocious service I received today. I've been here multiple times in the past and received good service. That changed this morning. The restaurant was empty but for me and 2 other tables. Upon receiving my meal the toast that I requested to be well done was barely toasted. I asked the waitress to toast it more and for more coffee. After 10 minutes she had not returned. I was seated outside and had to get up and track her down. She assured me that she would be out in a minute. About 5 minutes later she returned with the toast looking exactly the same and a luke warm coffee. I brought both to her attention. She told me it was the cooks fault that the toast wasn't toasted more and walked away with just the cold coffee. I waited another 10 minutes for her to return before I once again had to track her down. I kindly asked to speak to the manager. After waiting another 5 minutes she returned. She insisted that she was the manager which I found hard to believe. She said she didn't speak good English and that she tried. I'm sure the owner would be appalled at how I was treated. This was an okay lunch. It was during the week mid day and we were the only folks in the restaurant which seemed a bit eerie. One gal came in while we were there -- for some dessert. And as we were leaving, a tourist family entered. The restaurant is large so the emptiness seemed magnified. The menu was a bit expensive for lunch -- there were no specials advertised or a separate menu. My husband ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with fries. And I got their chicken Milanesa with fries. His sandwich was okay -- not anything he'd order again, but okay. My chicken was one large flattened fried breaded piece of chicken with nothing on it but a wedge of lemon. I also ordered fries for my side. It was edible. They have a pastry case full of interesting looking cakes, pies, and other items. Not everything is marked. The lady working there (and our server) was either tired or not very happy to be there. She offered no suggestions or helpful information in ordering nor in making a dessert suggestion. Great food and wonderful service! My husband and I were taking a drive on Sunday, and we decided to stop here for lunch. It's a cute little restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food wise, I highly recommend both the chicken and the beef empanadas. I also had the avocado toast, which is pretty standard, but my husband really enjoyed his skirt steak. I must say though that the best part of this meal was the service--outstanding! Our waiter was thoughtful and considerate when our food to a bit of time to prepare. My partner, Beloved, ordered their Argentinian Sausage sandwich, a common street food sausage called "Choripan" in Argentina. It came sided with chimichurri in a Ciabatta roll. It was put together in the most slip-shot shoddiest of manners. It looked terrible and tasted just as bad as it looked, and was nothing even remotely close to the choripan I've had in Argentina. I ordered their short ribs which came out unlike any short ribs I've ever had. There was no big slow-roasted rib with falling off the bone meat. Instead, tiny little bones surrounded by a really tough, though I admit tasty meat. The biggest problem was that you darn near needed a power chain saw to cut it. read more

Been into trying the local spots more and more and finally stopped by Nonna's. It was sadly empty for such a delicious meal. It is an Argentinian restaurant, and yes there is a language barrier BUT we are in south Florida. The food was fantastic! We had the Chicken Empanadas and Beef Empanadas. The Chimichurri is OUT of this WORLD!! We were both very pleased with our entrees. We had the Grilled Octopus and Spaghetti Al Pesto. Didn't save room for dessert but there was a table who walked in and actually came specifically to get dessert as they didn't save room the last time. I think that says alot. read more
