Visited Rossitto's in Pompano on a Tuesday night, when the market transforms into a cozy little restaurant. It's a small space, but every table was full, which is always a promising sign. We started with warm bread served with olive oil, balsamic, and a sprinkle of fresh parm, a nice way to start. For an appetizer, we went with the meatballs. I always use the "meatball test" when sizing up an Italian spot... and these landed somewhere in the middle. The vodka-style sauce didn't quite work for me, and overall I'd rate them a 2.5 out of 5. For entrées, I ordered the Orecchiette Pugliesi. It was fine, but I've had much better. The traditional rapini was swapped for regular broccoli, and while the dish had some flavor, it was missing the depth and balance I was hoping for. Not sure I'd order it again. My wife had the pumpkin gnocchi special and said it was okay, just a bit too sweet for her taste or liking. My parents ordered the lasagna and the chicken al limone. The lasagna was just okay, nothing that stood out and the chicken al limone was considered good, but again not memorable. We wrapped with a cannoli, another must-try test for any Italian restaurant. It was decent, but not particularly unique. I'd give it a 2.8 out of 5. We were hoping to add a new Italian spot to our rotation since we have a few favorites already. Rossitto's was good overall, but nothing truly memorable and it may not make the cut next time.

You will feel like you stepped into Italy when you come eat dinner inside this charming little market. The staff are amazing, attentive, and so accommodating. And the food is so delicious! Everything I tried was fresh and obviously made with top quality ingredients. My pumpkin gnocchi was incredible! They were so pillowy and full of wonderful fall flavors and coated in a velvety, creamy, rich sauce that I could have slurped up all by itself. The Vodka sauce was legit; you tasted the layers of tomato base, garlic, Parmesan, and butter with just a splash of cream. But best of all: OMG! The Tiramisu! Holy Toledo. I was so full but couldn't resist eating it in full because it was absolutely perfect!

Came in on a Friday night for dinner without a reservation (not recommended) but we were lucky enough to be seated after a cancelation! Service was professional and polite. The restaurant is small and located within a plaza - plenty of parking. We had the lobster ravioli, a fettuccine special with swordfish, and the house red wine. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back with a reservation next time!

This place is so good! We usually go for lunch and have sandwiches but decided to have dinner one night. It's totally authentic Italian food! Best pasta I've had since we were in Italy! Highly recommend!

To say that I regret not coming here sooner is an understatement... I hate to call myself this but my husband and I are definitely foodies . I'm not gonna say that we're foodies in the traditional sense that we are snobs but we know what we like and I can tell you that this restaurant is simply incredible . Not only did they see us at a four top even though the restaurant was busy and they were only two of us , but they allowed us to sip our wine and enjoy our meal at a completely leisurely pace without any sense of pressure. This restaurant has the most incredible food that I have had in a very long time . I actually told my husband that there is only one other restaurant that I have ever eaten that in my life that had food that was this good. This is a do not mess extravaganza !! Five stars all the way

Seafood pasta. Comes with very nice house salad. All fresh and delicious.

Service is great. They have a store inside with real Italian foods and deserts. Fresh deli selection too.

Sea Mario has been bookmarked on my Yelp for over a year. While trying to make some Valentine's…read moreplans, my husband asked where I wanted to go, and I immediately thought of this restaurant. Even a few weeks in advance, Valentine's Day was already booked, so we made a reservation for Valentine's eve. This is not a restaurant I would come to without a reservation because I saw people get turned away. Located in an unassuming little strip mall, you would never know that there is a sparkling gem of a place tucked in the middle of the shops. Parking can be a little tricky, but we were able to snag a spot in front. Inside, this quaint restaurant has such welcoming decor in black-and-white with some accent colors. There are lots of little knickknacks and decorations from Italy. When we entered, we were greeted by one of the owners, Nadia. We had a short wait before our table was ready. When seated, Nadia went over all the specials and answered our questions regarding her recommendations on the menu. Her husband, Mario, also assists with serving. He also greeted us later during our dinner to check in about our meal. Now let's get to the heart of this review...the food. As someone with Sicilian heritage, I have been fortunate to visit Italy and have had some pretty amazing fresh seafood and pasta dishes there. And of course, I've had wonderful Italian restaurant experiences here as well. But I have to say, Sea Mario tops the list. Before I discuss the food menu, I just want to point out they have an extensive wine list. The menu offers several selections whether one is vegetarian, wants steak/lamb instead of pasta, or has come here for the dishes 'di mare.' We started off with an appetizer. Arancini rice balls with mushrooms and cheese. The Arancini balls flanked a bowl of stracciatella cheese. This was a special appetizer not on the regular menu. It was fantastic and dare I say luxurious? (Please put in on the regular menu!) For our main courses, my husband had the Fettuccini Florida Golden Crab & Scallops. It was Caribbean Italian fusion inspired with a flavorful, but not (hot) spicy, pasta sauce. I opted for the Maine Lobster Catalana. I have had my share of seafood pasta dishes throughout my life, but when this entree was placed in front of me, the aroma was so fragrant that I knew I was in for something special. The pasta sauce was made with high-quality tomatoes and caramelized onions (which I think really aided this sauce and made it different). The dish had clams and, of course, succulent lobster tail and the claw meat. The lovely aroma was not a tease because the dish tasted excellent. If having freshly made pasta with lobster sounds appealing to you, this is the dish to get. (They make their own pasta and the seafood is very fresh.) We ended our meal by sharing a fresh cannoli. The shell was not hard like a typical cannoli, rather it had the consistency of a doughnut. The ricotta filling with pistachio was absolutely out of this world. The plate was beautifully decorated with a berry drizzle in the shape of a seahorse. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with Sea Mario. I definitely want to return to this romantic restaurant for our anniversary later this year. Thank you for the incredible service and dishes.

Excellent. Mussels were large, and a bit gamey, nice light sauce. good. Had a sausage, finely cut up, and made with a pan fried topping and cheese and nice red sauce. Good I wanted pasta and garlic oil and butter. Also wanted veal and eggplant parmigiana . Neither on the menu. And no can have. Had a cannoli to go. Excellent wine menu. Two of us about $100. I'll come back because nice atmosphere

Di Farina - A True Hidden Gem!…read more Visited Di Farina for a company dinner tonight, and I am so glad I did! This is one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to share, just so there's always a table waiting for you. We started with a spread of appetizers: grilled octopus, garlic shrimp, fried burrata with arugula, and perfectly layered potatoes topped with braised short rib and fonduta. Every single dish was incredible--I honestly can't pick a favorite, though the short ribs stole my heart. For mains, I had the osso buco with pappardelle (their pastas are all freshly made in-house, and you can taste the difference). Our table also enjoyed the branzino, which was deboned tableside, the massive squid ink seafood linguini (so loaded with seafood you could barely see the pasta), and a rich, creamy carbonara that was perfectly balanced. Desserts were the perfect finale: tiramisu, cheesecake, and a refreshing lemon sorbetto, each as good as the last. The service was flawless, and the entire staff is Italian, adding to the authentic charm of the experience. Di Farina has officially become my new go-to spot for Italian nights. 10/10 on food, service, and atmosphere--can't wait to return!

The bread was served warm with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I liked that combination. Our entrees came out pretty fast. Maybe 12 to 15 minutes after we ordered. This makes me think the food is not freshly made. I would be happier waiting for my food. I ordered the penne alla gigi. The portion was huge!!! The flavor tasted really off. I absolutely love Italian food and am usually pretty forgiving if the food is not "amazing" The sauce was not good on this dish. I have never tasted anything like it.. The pancetta did not have much flavor. I sampled the chicken parmigiana and the spaghetti. The chicken parmesan was pretty good. It was cheesy. The sauce for the spaghetti was mediocre. I forgot to mention both dishes came out really hot which was appreciated. I ordered the limoncello cake and this was phenomenal. I thought it looked too yellow when it was placed in front of me. The taste was so delicious. It was not overly sweet, just perfect. I loved the whipped cream. My friend ordered the Ice Cream Sunday which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I sampled this too and it was ok, nothing special. Without the excellent service, views and just beauty of the restaurant this would have been 2 stars. My visit ended on the right note with the limoncello cake. In reality, I just wanted a delicious meal. I did not receive that and I did leave mostly disappointed. :(
