I love the Italian vibes here. The staff and the customers were speaking Italian to add the authenticity of this place. You can get Italian cookies, pasta, and other grocery items. I arrived before noon and the indoor seatings were quite full. You can sit outside if you want to enjoy a beautiful day. I got double espresso and it was strong yet enjoyable. The ricotta cannolo is excellent. The baba rum is soaked with sweet rum syrup. The tiramisu isn't very sweet. I talked to another fellow customer and he also loved the dessert here. Served with a delightful tomato sauce (you can taste the homemade ingredients that make it delicious) Hubby got chicken Alfredo. Rich! Creamy. Packed with flavor, served on home made fettuccini I got fettuccini all a basciola. Omg, so good. So fresh, so tasty, so. Visited Rossitto's in Pompano on a Tuesday night, when the market transforms into a cozy little restaurant. It's a small space, but every table was full, which is always a promising sign. We started with warm bread served with olive oil, balsamic, and a sprinkle of fresh parm, a nice way to start. For an appetizer, we went with the meatballs. I always use the "meatball test" when sizing up an Italian spot... and these landed somewhere in the middle. The vodka-style sauce didn't quite work for me, and overall I'd rate them a 2.5 out of 5. For entrées, I ordered the Orecchiette Pugliesi. It was fine, but I've had much better. The traditional rapini was swapped for regular broccoli, and while the dish had some flavor, it was missing the depth and balance I was hoping for. Not sure I'd order it again. My wife had the pumpkin gnocchi special and said it was okay, just a bit too sweet for her taste or liking. My parents ordered the lasagna and the chicken al limone. The lasagna was just okay, nothing that stood out and the chicken al limone was considered good, but again not memorable. We wrapped with a cannoli, another must-try test for any Italian restaurant. It was decent, but not particularly unique. I'd give it a 2.8 out of 5. We were hoping to add a new Italian spot to our rotation since we have a few favorites already. Rossitto's was good overall, but nothing truly memorable and it may not make the cut next time. read more

They were so pillowy and full of wonderful fall flavors and coated in a velvety, creamy, rich sauce that I could have slurped up all by itself. The Vodka sauce was legit; you tasted the layers of tomato base, garlic, Parmesan, and butter with just a splash of cream. But best of all: OMG! The Tiramisu! Holy Toledo. Came in on a Friday night for dinner without a reservation (not recommended) but we were lucky enough to be seated after a cancelation! Service was professional and polite. The restaurant is small and located within a plaza - plenty of parking. We had the lobster ravioli, a fettuccine special with swordfish, and the house red wine. Everything was delicious! Not only did they see us at a four top even though the restaurant was busy and they were only two of us , but they allowed us to sip our wine and enjoy our meal at a completely leisurely pace without any sense of pressure. Everything during my dinner at Rossitto's was perfect. The staff was very attentive and I didn't wait long for a table, the bread was really good and surprisingly the house salad was great. Everything was wonderful except one thing, unfortunately it was part of the main thing, the entree. I ordered Chicken Limone (Francese). The sauce was terrific however it's the chicken itself that I had an issue with. Maybe because I'm a butcher's daughter or I order Chicken Francese a lot from NYC to LA to FL but whoever cut the chicken breasts didn't do a good job and it wasn't totally coated in the flour/egg dip. The breast was not thin and pounded and had tendons. I will go back to Rossitto's but try their pasta next. read more

We have been to Rositto's several times and loved it, until last night. We called ahead of time to make a reservation, but were told they do not accept them. Understood. Our party of three arrived and were told a one hour wait, understood. Meanwhile, there were two tables with a reserved sign on them when we arrived. (No reservations, huh?) One of them sat empty for the entire one hour we waited for our table. They escorted us to a table that is definitely only suited for two people. I expressed my desire for a table a bit more comfortable for three. In fact, the table right next to ours also emptied and we asked to put these two tables together and were told no. I was then told I would then have to wait longer to accommodate my request. We saw a party of four was getting up to leave and the hostess assured us that their table was the same size as what they had offered us. We decided to sit at the original table, and then experienced a very disappointing service experience. As we waited for our appetizer, another three 4-seat tables opened up right alongside our table, but we were never offered those tables. They then proceeded to give one of those tables to a couple! The appetizer came in a normal amount of time. It was immediately followed by the salad from a waiter who arrived and wondered where to put them. Due to the table for three that really wasn't, he had no room for the salad plates. They proceeded to bring a low side table to be able to accommodate all of the plates. Our waitress finally returned to take our dinner order on an iPad, where we had asked for alternative pasta types for two of our meals. We then proceeded to wait well over an hour for our meals! We asked our waitress if our food was coming. She said yes, but never even bothered to check the status. Only after seeing three tables getting their meals (who were seated long after we were), did I go up to the owner and ask about our food. She went to check. Miraculously the food came out shortly thereafter. The food that finally came out was very good. The same quality that I have experienced on my previous visits. Our waitress however was pretty much MIA for our entire meal. Not sure what she was doing but definitely not concerned about us. After our meal, we were offered three cookies as an apologetic gesture. Wow. The waitress literally threw our bill on the table. The owner and our waitress then tried to explain that our meal took so long because we had changed pasta types. The most ridiculous excuse ever. Note to the owners: NEVER put 3 people at a cafe style table made for 2. It does not work for an Italian meal when you serve bread, olive oil S&P, Parmesan cheese, and guests have water glasses, bottle of water and wine glasses on the table. That's all that will fit. Then bring appetizers and salads and you have no space at all for any of it. We love that your business is thriving but not at the expense of quality service. We will be hard pressed to return here. read more

Was walking through this plaza tonight and came across this cute little Italian Market that also has outdoor and indoor seating. We went inside to look at the desserts and decided on Tiramisu and a chocolate cream with cream puffs underneath. I loved the cream in the tiramisu, overall it was a tad bit sweeter than I like. My friend loved her dessert. I asked the staff person and she said they've only been open about 3 months. The market has olive oils, balsamic vinegar, all kinds of pastas, chocolates and they also sell Italian deli meats as well as bread. Can't wait to come back here and try some other things. read more

Small local Mom & Pop place with awesome food. Tables are in the center of a little Italian grocery. This was our second time and every meal has been fantastic. Highlight include the ragu and pappardeli which was rich and thick. The lemon chicken was bright and so moist! We had a delightful lunch here during the week. There are only a few tables inside and we were lucky to get the last available one. We decided to share a charcuterie plate -- they call it a tagliere mixto here. It had cheese, salami, a Bologna type cold cut meat, prosciutto, black olives, spicy red olives, artichoke hearts and roasted peppers on the board. Along side, they served a small round loaf of rustic bread. It was a perfect size for the two of us. For dessert, I tried one of their wedding cookies -- as I wanted something plain. My husband had an espresso coffee along with a sweet bomba -- I'm sure I'm not spelling this right. It had a lemon cream inside the light dough with a lemoncello "sauce" poured over it. They have a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches and salads. Plus there are hot Italian entrees. As well as various coffees and desserts. The restaurant is also a deli, a bakery, and a store -- with lots of Italian products along with pastries and breads to purchase as well as meats etc. They also have a cold case of frozen pastas and other items and a hot case with pre-cooked meals to take home. Oh my freaking god. What amazing food, owners & products. We are hooked. We truly love this place. 100 stars!!!!!!! Our 1st night for dinner (Wednesday 7/20) we had bruschetta with fresh mozzarella, spaghetti puttanesca & Osso Bucco stuffed ravioli in a butter sage sauce. So freaking incredibly delicious. We took home for the next nights dinner breaded chicken cutlets & Italian rice salad. Plus some homemade deserts. Raspberry & chocolate Rugelach (the best I've ever had), sfogliatella (as good as the best I've had in little Italy in NYC), Italian lemon cookies (my girlfriend said they were incredible). We went back tonight (Friday 7/22) for dinner and had a medium vegetable Stromboli & a medium shrimp scampi pizza (the flavor of this pizza was just off the charts amazing). My girlfriend loved her Stromboli. We got another pound of raspberry & chocolate Rugelach, cans of artichoke bottoms, bottles of cherry tomato sauce, 2 focaccia breads, Italian green olives, 24 month aged parmigiana cheese and some another Sardinia sheeps milk wine cheese.
