Upon a recommendation from our neighbors , my husband and I went for an early dinner to this lovely little restaurant. We love small restaurants with ten tables! Nice atmosphere! The owner who is the chef is fabulous and our server was awesome! He was very nice and professional and he remembered our friends that were there to nights ago. Well the food was really really delicious!! How is server gave us acute little appetizer on the house to little mozzarella balls which was very nice of him. The bread was awesome! For an appetizer, we ordered eggplant balls which was served with a delicious sauce. I had to penny alivaca, which was the best I ever had, and my husband had a special sausage and rigatoni kind of like a Bolognese sauce.It was also very good. They gave my husband an espresso on the house , which was really quite nice! The restaurant is kind of in a weird little place on Dixie highway in an industrial type of area, but you gotta try it!!! Another incredible meal! I just came here to post more photos, but I'll write up a review while I'm at it! I just wanted to remind Yelpers to ask about the specials. As soon as Mario shared them with us, we opted for them all! We started with the eggplant "meat"balls in a lemony cream sauce. Insanely good. Be sure to save some of the delicious Gran Forno bread to dip in the sauce. My husband went with the ossobuco (pork) over risotto. I snuck a little taste of the risotto. It was delicious and came with fresh peas. (I hope the risotto is a special during the cooler months.) My husband loved the dish. The meat was tender, in a delicious sauce, and fell off the bone. I had the swordfish. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fish was very fresh and a generous size. The pasta olio on the side was a perfect accompaniment. And if you love garlic...chef's kiss! For dessert, we went with a slice of pear and ricotta cake. It was quite decadent and not overly sweet. Served cool, it was rather refreshing and a great end to another excellent meal at Italia Station. It comes from Italy and is not to be missed. Overall, a very positive experience! The bread was amazing -- I was planning to try the olive oil bread, but the regular bread was so good that I couldn't resist. The service was very kind and attentive. The spaghetti was good, although I personally prefer a homemade-style noodle. The meatballs were really nice and flavorful. I also loved the touch of real flowers in the restaurant, which added a great atmosphere. They even offered espresso on the house, which was a thoughtful touch. The prices were also very reasonable and not overly expensive, which made the experience even better. My only minor preference was the noodle style, but everything else was excellent. Such a delightful lunch experience in a rather unusual location. Set on busy Dixie Highway amongst lots of small industrial shops, you might easily miss this place. There are a few parking spaces right outside. Inside, there are 3 booths, and a dozen plus seats at regular tables. We came for a late lunch and grabbed an open booth. Get the comp bread for the table, it's crusty, chewy, and earthy. I added a touch of olive oil, too. They have beer and wine and sodas and coffees. We just had water. My husband had a classic sandwich panini). It had tomatoes, prosciutto, mozzarella, and arugula. All on their crusty bread. He added some balsamic. The sandwich had potato sticks on the side. He ate half the sandwich and took half home for dinner. I got their Milanese chicken on top of a Caesar salad. The thin chicken medallion was lightly breaded and cut into slices. It was served atop a Caesar salad with romaine and just the right amount of dressing. Now that we know they're here, we'll definitely return. I have my eye on a few of their pasta dishes. read more

My wife is really good at finding new places to add, and/or enjoy, for our own dining experiences! This place was a definite hit! On Dixie Hwy in the automotive industrial area, it was fairly close to home. A small and welcoming interior with tables for indoor dining. They do have two high top tables for outside dining. They do have daily specials as well as the standard printed menu items. I chose the Prosciutto Classico : Prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and arugula on some fresh crusty bread. I took my team for lunch today on Christmas eve. They opened for Italian Station Cafe. It is a small place, with a big heart. ItThe service was attentive, the prices very reasonable, the food was delicious. Everyone had a different dish and everyone came out happy. Nice selection of Italian dishes. I just moved to pompano and was looking for some pasta. Italia station cafe had great reviews so I thought to try them. I had my partner his daughter along with my mom walking in I was a bit nervous it was a small yet fully intimate spot. It felt warm and full of family and attention to detail we sat and got served right away with waters and a menu. I had such a wonderful experience at this small, authentic Italian restaurant. The moment we walked in, the owner and server (both Italian) made everything feel warm and personal. The complimentary bread was fresh, warm, and impossible to stop eating. The owner recommended a dessert and even said that if I didn't love it, it would be on the house. It ended up being phenomenal rich, flavorful, and one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The customer service was truly incomparable. Our New Year's Eve plan fell through at the last minute so we decided to try a pizza from Italia Station. So glad we did. The Parma Pizza was our choice and it was phenomenal. Excellent in every way. We tried Italia Station for first time last night. Tiny place on an industrial section of Dixie in Pompano. Cross between pizza/sandwich shop and fine dining. Food was good. Nice appetizer of fried eggplant balls in a delicious creamy lemon sauce. Excellent lasagna. Spaghetti and meatballs good. Friendly service. Only issue was when we ordered a special without asking price. In a place where most dishes are around $20-25 this special was $54! Waiter did not mention that.
