    Salmon Benedict
    Julia K.

Popular brunch place with made to order dishes. Their menu is pretty large with a seasonal menu that uses seasonal ingredients. I tried the Salmon Benedict which comes with a perfect poached egg and your favorite side. The egg Benedict is pretty tasty. Service was decent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are plenty of tables, but probably a good idea to make a reservation as it can get pretty crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Home-y environment feel to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Classic

Ok listen up this place is popular for good reason excellent customer service and good damn food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is vibrant and bright full of excitement in the kitchen and people popping in and out grabbing to go orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a short wait our greeter took us to a comfy booth by the kitchen and we can people watch. Our server Nessa was top notch her description of the iced coffee had us drooling . Well, after the yummy menu overview we got the classic breakfast, turkey burger and the special chimichurri steak & eggs hash

It is a hit or miss depending on who is making your food. I have been loving their chimichurri steak and eggs hash, but since I order to go for convenience, i am either happy or sad when I get home because some days it's cooked perfectly and some days the potatoes are undercooked, steak tough, or just bland and it is as if the cook just placed all the ingredients in a pan without checking because they all clumped together and the no flavor. There is no consistency :( I think I will have to stop coming here because of that.

If you have never been, what are you waiting for? This place has been around a minute and it never disappoints. My go-to is always their Hash, this trip I got their market hash, which is peppers and mushrooms over their potatoes with 2 eggs cooked perfectly the way you like it. I also grabbed a side of their pork sausage. My girlfriend ordered their amazing million dollar bacon and their DELICIOUS pumpkin donut holes-- they are to die for! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was my first time at this location and it was so nice, I love their high ceilings and big windows and the location was perfect right off the highway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not pictured is a traditional bfast & their pumpkin pancakes, ordered to-go along with my favorite drink Purple Haze; it's like a dreamy summer :)

It's been years since I've eaten at First Watch. I was hesitant to return but I'm glad I did. It seems like they've changed the menu and the food was much better than what I remember.

Very good service and fast service. Good breakfast options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Went there on a sunday morning, not so busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only disspointment from this place was, menu says hashbrown, but it was clearly homefries and very salty.

This was my first time at First Watch and overall it was a good experience. I met a friend here for lunch and it wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and patient. Even though it was lunch time he didn't rush us to leave when the check was ready. It may seem like a little thing, but I appreciated us being able to scan a QR code and split the bill on our phone. It made the checkout process smooth and easy. I decided to have the Elevated Egg sandwich and it was very tasty. I usually have to have some type of sauce on my sandwich, but the over easy egg and the lemon-dressed arugula were a perfect match for this sandwich. Typically, I swap out the potatoes for fruit, but I was feeling carbie today so I kept the potatoes and they did not disappoint. Perfect amount of seasoning, they were light yet crunchy, and I didn't even need ketchup with them. My friend had the avocado toast and they did not scrimp on the avocado. She had so much that she asked for another piece of toast to go with it. She said the over easy eggs were perfectly cooked and although she originally thought she wasn't hungry, she ate every bit. They have a great menu with lots of variety. I look forward to coming back on the weekend when I can partake in one of their cocktails. I'll definitely bring the family back as there appears to be something for everyone.

The service for this restaurant in the past, has been fabulous. It has since declined. The packaged sugar container on the table had whipping cream slashed all over the side of it. When asked to replace it, it was clearly brought back wiped off, not washed, and refilled with unsoiled packages of sugar. The water glasses left to us were all dirty on the inside and spotty from dish washing. So, I went out and got my wife her drink from the car to consume with brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was louder than usual as well, to compete with the loud patrons, so it was like eating in a cafeteria.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was the only saving factor.

    Some sort of healthy wrap

Saturday morning waited for almost 50 mins and finally decided to sit on the patio. The food is "okay". It has many healthy options but the taste is meh and not good. Will NOT retuned!

I wanted to try something new and had the lavender lemonade. It was refreshing on a spring day.
    Jeanne J.

The service was quick and attentive. The egg sandwich was delicious and the upgrade it promised to be. However, the potatoes were too salty and an overwhelming amount. I would get fruit in the future. The lavender lemonade was a refreshing drink in a spring day.

Great location in Irving for breakfast or lunch. I have been to several locations and the customer service was outstanding at this location. Many wonderful options on the menu and very fresh. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Wow! This place is super good! When you leave it will only be with a smile or your face! Stays pretty busy but it's worth the wait! Love all the breakfast items here! Huge fan of the French toast and bacon! - they have a nice assortment of breakfast items! Loved the Bloody Mary - spicy of course! Great for good family vibes! Super clean establishment and the host is very attentive and nice!

A gem in an otherwise culinary wasteland…read more This bistro is located off the main lobby of the Westin at DFW. There are multiple budget hotels in the area and the only food choices within reasonable walking distance are Denny's, gas stations and an outdoor food shed at another motel. There is a well curated list of local craft beers (8). Make a point to ask for the separate alternative "healthy menu". The food on that menu is very different from the comfort food on the main menu and it is available in half orders. I tried a half order of chicken and avocado arepas and a half order of tuna tataki. Both were delicious and visually pleasing. Staff is attentive, engaged but not intrusive. Prices for these two items were $8 each, very reasonable.

This includes a few nights at the bar and 2 nights in my room. The staff was never overly inviting but they were usually busy with a demanding crowd of hotel guests. Ordering through the Marriott app looked like a great option but it wouldn't work once they asked you how you'd like to pay. When you go downstairs and scan their QR code, it brings you to the same interface but on a website rather than an app, and that worked fine. The chicken wrap with fries was pretty good and was my go to. The house salad wasn't great and I wouldn't try it again. The half order of the tuna was decent but I loved the pickled veggies under them and would have just had a bowl of those! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but having this inside your hotel for convenience is nice.

From the start, our waitress, Sheba, made the experience exceptional. She was warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We loved chatting with her, and her honest recommendations helped us choose some incredible dishes. We decided to share the Surf & Turf special, featuring shrimp and a perfectly cooked ribeye, and it did not disappoint. Everything was cooked beautifully, flavorful, and well-portioned. We also ordered the Candied Bacon and the Crab Cakes, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The candied bacon was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, while the crab cakes were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. To drink, we had the Strawberry Hibiscus Margarita, and it was hands down one of the best summer cocktails I've had. It was refreshing, beautifully balanced, and the perfect pairing with our meal. Between the outstanding food, welcoming atmosphere, and Sheba's top-notch service, this was a five-star experience from beginning to end. If you're visiting Whiskey Cake, do yourself a favor and ask for Sheba if you can. We left full, happy, and already looking forward to our next visit!

Maybe in Canada that's normal. It's not in Dallas; I've never had that happen before. Consider this constructive criticism. Otherwise I like the place. Food is good. Atmosphere nice. Service from Travis at the bar was great. But do things that make people want to come back and/or recommend your place to others. The complimentary "bite" the first two times was a nice touch but even that's gone now. I can't imagine a 1" piece of pizza dough could be that expensive? It was a treat for me to finally visit a Texas Roadhouse restaurant!…read more Yeah, da 808 is kinda behind da times, as we don't have Texas Roadhouse out here, but we got Outback Steakhouse in da 808. Lol! So Tuesday night Carrollton got hit with a storm. Heavy rain, lightening, & thunder. I asked my coworkers if they wanted to head out to dinner, but it appeared that da fella's weren't down wid' it. Luckily, my Big Island coworker was also in Texas the same time I was here, so I reached out to him to see if he was down........sure enough, he was. When in Texas, I guess ya gotta have Texas BBQ at least once.......and being that I have worked in Texas numerous times, I've had more than my share of BBQ Ribs & Brisket in the past. Upon deciding on where to go, we ended up at - Texas Roadhouse in Irving. The Tuesday night we came here, even through the bad weather, the restaurant was still packed! The wait for a table was minimum, and upon getting seated, service was instantanious. I think I was still recovering from the previous night from Japan House, so I didn't want to eat a whole bunch of food. Upon looking over the menu, I ended up with just a BBQ Chicken Sandwich w/Fries. As for my Big Island coworker, he went for da gusto and got a BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. What can I say about the grub? I really enjoyed my BBQ Chicken Sandwich! It was a bit messy with all that sauce, but that's what napkins are for! Lol! Very generous serving of food, and I managed to down all of my sandwich, but left most of my fries behind, as it was just too much food. As for my coworker, he destroyed his BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. I was so happy he enjoyed his meal, as two days before I took him to another restaurant where he ordered a similar combo, but left a lot of food behind (I think his meal wasn't too good at the other restaurant). One more thing about Texas Roadhouse...........have you ever tried the complimentary rolls? Oh my!!!! Da buggah is Winnah's! Overall a wonderful dining experience, and should I ever return to Texas, ya better bookmark Texas Roadhouse on the places to visit for BBQ.

Texas Roadhouse is a popular chain that serves very good steaks in a casual setting. It can get…read moreextremely busy on weekends, so be sure you "Get in Line" using the app, so you don't have to wait a long time. There is zero pretentiousness here, tons of people, and lots of families. I wouldn't recommend it for date night, but it's great if all you want is a nice steak at a great value. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - On my Saturday night visit, Texas Roadhouse was super crowded. They make the most of their seating and each table has a bag of peanuts and a pail for the shells. It can get pretty tight as Texas Roadhouse maximizes their seating, so introverts may want to stay away. 1/2 Star. Service - Once your name is called, a hostess will lead you to your table with a basket of hot rolls and delicious cinnamon butter. Unfortunately, on this busy Saturday, the great service ended here. They were so busy that our water was seldom refilled and a request for extra butter was never fulfilled. Super nice but also super busy. 1/2 Star. Food - We started with the Onion Blossom. It's really cool looking, but after a few bites, it's a bit of a fried, bland onion. The dipping sauce was good, but after a few bites we were done. Now, the good news is that the Texas Roadhouse steaks are tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked to order. I was very impressed as my Ft. Worth Ribeye was delicious. It was grilled at the right temperature and had plenty of flavor. I ordered the sweet potato (creamy and buttery) and the green beans (meh). This place is known for its steaks, and it shows. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Texas Roadhouse is very busy because it's popular. The steaks here are a great value, but the sides will leave you wanting more. Come as you are and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. Just don't forget to Get in Line with the app. 1 Star.
