Frustrating experience here, unfortunately. Brought my 6 year old for a birthday brunch due to the great reviews. We were told we were third in line, and still waited 30 minutes before getting a text that said, come see the host (who we were sitting right next to!). We went to see the host, who then said the computer knocked us off the list. She found a table for us anyway, but nobody came, so we left after 20 minutes and went to a sandwich place instead. I like this first watch better than most of their other locations. We've been here quite a few times with a group on Sunday mornings and we've only waited more than 20 min once. The service is a little slow but like everywhere I'm sure they are short staffed. The food has always been good, I love the market hash skillet (great for a vegetarian) and my husband likes most of the meat dishes, especially the chickenchanga. HOME!!! That is what First Watch is to me & my husband. We walk in and we're taken to one of our favorite tables. We immediately feel at home. The people & atmosphere are so welcoming. Im disabled & everyone rises to the occasion to make sure that I'm comfortable even seeing us in the parking lot and opening the door. Stacey is a stellar manager, who knows her customers and makes them feel welcomed whether they're old timers or new to the restaurant. My husband and I are on specialized diets so we cannot go out and eat, but we missed everyone at First Watch so we went in yesterday anyway. When my husband asked Denise if they could actually just cook what we needed, with a smile, she said "Absolutely no problem!!!"and Jose whipped it up in the back. It was an incredible breakfast that we shared with our First Watch family. Lindsay came and checked in on us to make sure that we were totally taken care of. She's been there with a smile on her face from the very first time we ate to First Watch. She is one of your biggest assets along with Klaire and Becky!!! Went on a Tuesday in July around 11 am and we were seated right away. The food was just ok. The salad was nice and fresh but they don't give you enough dressing for how thick it was. The sandwich I had was not great. It was very dry and the turkey was not as fresh tasting as one would want. The million dollar bacon was good. We always enjoyed Egg and I but we are so happy to see First Watch in its place on our recent visit for breakfast. First watch Northglenn was always a favorite for its fresh and inventive food but is always crowded and there is often a long wait for a table there. That will probably be the case here once word spreads about the excellent menu of freshly prepared food, served mostly by the same attentive and well trained staff of the former Egg and I. Our only negatives are that it is a rather noisy restaurant and parking is tight. The pricing is competitive with other quality breakfast and lunch options in the area and the servings are generous. The place is completely revamped and has a new menu. It looks fantastic! Varied menu with seasonal specialties. The coffee is fantastic - very clean and smooth tasting. They have fresh juice blends that may sound a bit strange on the menu based on ingredients, however, when you try them they are refreshing and really tasty. I had the orange/beet/tumeric blend and cannot rave enough about it. Fresh ingredients and really balanced spices in their food. The toast was not your run of the mill bread - thick artesian bread with seeds on the outside and fresh preseves - yummy! I had their chorizo skillet and the blend of spices and flavors was perfect. A bit of cumin, not salty and lots of avocado. The fresh greens were a good compliment to the rest of the dish and added a bit of zest. I was disappointed to find the Egg and I closed at this location, however, First Watch is an excellent replacement and I look forward to my next visit. read more
