They is no way that someone took that meat out of the microwave or the off of the grill without smelling how burned the meat was. Seriously, it tasted like someone had dragged the omelette through chittering juice . I sent it back and the waitress said the manager offered to make a new one. I expect the manager or at least the chef/cook to come to the table and explain what happened. Otherwise, why would I want another one? It was terrible. Why would I expect anything different with a new one? Anyway, they took it off the bill so that's something. My daughter seemed to like her food and the candied bacon was good. Food: I have always enjoyed the food at First Watch Bowie. I eat there at least every two weeks- Kudos! Ambiance: The new restaurant layout is great and provides excellent ambiance. Service: My challenge is with my experience today at the entrance. I was there @ 10:30 am. There was one young lady at the front (probably relatively new - I had not seen her before). She got backed up - still every nice - but when the person I believe was the manager, came to assist her, the way he spoke to her was unacceptable. She was both checking out people and adding people to the waitlist. The manager took this time - when the young lady was about to seat the three of us (including my 80 year old friend) - to "train her" delaying her ability to lead us to our table. And there were still other customers that needed assistance. When I checked out, she again was doing both the register and waitlist. After about 15 minutes of waiting to checkout the manager finally came to the register to assist the young lady. When I paid a compliment about the young lady to the manager - crickets. The manager definitely needs another lesson in customer service. read more

Great place for breakfast! They have Crab & avocado, toast on their seasonal menu and it's really good! It's lump crab meat, avocado and pickled red onions. It also comes with a basted egg. I would've preferred poached, but it was still really good. I always get the Works omelette which is really good too. It comes with Ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with cheese and topped with a dollop of sour cream. Everything tastes fresh & flavorful. I must start by saying. I'm sooooo glad this place is far from where I live. I've never stuffed my face so much and been happier in my life. Yes, this French Toast looks amazing. Came to meet friends from out of town. Anyplace with eggs/omelets are good for keto diet. Seated quickly, server was nice, but food quality and speed definitely not great. So 2 stars mostly due to the atmosphere and the server. Our friends were there well before us and ordered bacon and donuts, but those hadn't come out yet, with our friends even commenting they wondered where the order was. We all ordered, i ordered a ham and gueryere(?) Cheese, pretty basic no modifications except no sides. After a bit, server came back and said they couldn't make it because they had no ham. I said just make it without ham (seemed reasonable). But that must have been too much because my food was way delayed. 3 meals came out together (5 of us total), our turkey sauage then came out... then a extended wait (other order was a cheese omelet) by this time others are 1/2 done, sausage cold. Finally one omelet came but not mine. By the time mine came everyone was already done, sausage ice cold. Also the lack luster omelet was flat with a slice of cheese on top, maybe one inside if so couldn't tell. Tasteless, had to add lots of salt and hotsauce. My wife and I decided to come here for brunch on Saturday. The wait was long, almost an hour, which was fine as we had the opportunity to check out the dollar store nearby. Once seated, we were able to put in our orders and get some much needed coffee. I ordered the Parma Skillet Hash (I can't resist breakfast food over potatoes) and my wife got the Trifecta with Bacon, Eggs, and a Waffle. However, it was a long delay, almost another 40 minutes, before I actually got my food. I finished my first hot cup of coffee before my plate even arrived and my wife was about halfway done with her meal so I was a bit disappointed with the service. My family and I went to First Watch in Bowie for breakfast. The wait wasn't long due to calling ahead. The hostess and servers were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu has a variety of breakfast items and drinks. They also serve alcoholic beverages as well. We ordered the French toast, waffle, the works omelette, oatmeal, and the million dollar bacon. All were served hot and the food was fresh and good. Coffee was very strong but the hibiscus juice was good. The restaurant was spacious and bright. I love a good breakfast and have visited this First Watch location many times. With that, I think it's time I finally give it my rating as a serious breakfast lover. For starters, they always have a wait on Sundays, which is usually when I would make it there, but it goes pretty quickly. My absolute favorite menu item is the tri-fecta - scrambled eggs, bacon and a waffle. Each item comes out perfectly prepared for my picky pallet. The waffle melts in my mouth! I was quite disappointed at the customer service at this First Watch. I have been to several First Watch, and by far, the service received here was disappointing. 1. We had a 60-minute wait. The wait wouldn't have been bad if there weren't any seats available for 2 people. We saw several open tables while the line kept growing. Also, even though we were told the wait time was "20 minutes, " they never notified us that our table was ready. Every 15 minutes, I would check in to get an update, and they would tell me a few more minutes. 2. This First Watch felt they had too many staff doing nothing. While many of us were waiting for our table, a few of the staff stood at the front on their phones, with each other laughing and joking it. There's nothing wrong if there's nothing to do, but when you have open seating and a line of customers waiting, the staff should be trying to do something. 3. I had ordered my usual AM Superfoods Bowl. It tasted watery, watered-down. When this issue was brought to our servers' attention, nothing was done. 4. Check-Out - Once again, there were several staff standing at the checkout talking, laughing, and looking at their phones. We took there for about 5 minutes before one of the staff that was actually busy trying to check in customer said something to the staff standing around to check us out. Overall, we were very disappointed at the service and experience we received from this First Watch. As much as we love First Watch, we won't be coming back to this location. read more

My issue is that the hostess knew orders were delayed and should have notified customers that there was a delay. Instead she tells us to just wait by the to-go table. Later another employee tells us to wait outside and check in periodically. The disorganization and lack of communication with customers is why I rated this location so poorly. Was sat at a dirty table after the hostess told me it was clean. Ordered a water, the Tri-Athlete Omelette with no onions (severe allergy) and a side of plain grits. Hmm...what did I receive? Tri-Athlete Omelette with EXTRA onions and the plain grits were literally covered in butter - I mean we are talking a full tablespoon sitting on top melting so I asked for grits with no butter and literally 30 seconds later she comes back with the butter scraped off the top of the grits. Are you SERIOUS??? I can still see the melted butter on top! You cannot give a customer the same serving of grits with butter. What if I'm vegan? This is abhorrent and unethical. My server Lala barely checked on me so I had to go to the hostess stand to send the omelette back. The manager took 50% off the check due to the kitchen error. Table was dirty. Kitchen was lazy. My husband ordered soda and it came out FLAT! When we told the waitress, she said "oh yeah, the soda machine is actually broken". Wait.. what?!?!? How the F you serve drinks with broken machine?! I am beyond done. I have gone to the Bowie location for a few years now and it's always hit or miss. Taking the pandemic into consideration, there were a few times that I ordered online and when I arrived, I had to wait an addition 20 mins because they were backed up. Fine- this was before all the liftings. Today, was just the straw. I arrived around 745am and waited almost 5 minutes because there was no one servicing front of house. This is one of my main issues with this place is that front of house is consistently lacking. Finally someone noticed and came to seat me. I waited a few more before my server assisted me. She was nice, but did not introduce herself as i noticed she did a large party sitting behind me. Food was okay, though i had bacon and i asked for turkey sausage and the grits dodnt have cheese. Lastly, when i was paying, the guy who finally arrived to cover front of house, did not say one word to me. Im just over it. This location consistently disappoints me. read more

The benedict, well..... was nice looking but lacked seasoning (I'm taking assuming the hollandaise sauce wasn't perfected; I've had better), and the salad that comes with the entree was dressed lightly with no taste. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her french toast. Overall, three stars for plating, ambiance and customer service, but wouldn't be a place I think of in the future for breakfast/brunch.
