So I just wanted to start out with this was an easy score for me to give. The place was easy to find and in a good location. They had a super friendly staff and a very pleasing menu to choose from. We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning, we were greeted with our own pot of coffee once we were seated. the atmosphere was fantastic. I just knew this place was going to hit it out of the park. Then the food came, It look fantastic but both of our meals turned out to be barely lukewarm. We had the notion to mention this but I didn't feel it would be worth (we were in a hurry) the wait to get them reheated/replaced. The food tasted good and we were pleased with an overall experience. I don't blame the establishment at all and maybe someone dropped the ball a bit but honestly it didn't ruin the experience for us. I would still go back as I feel this was a one off experience and I understand lots of things happen behind the scenes that have to go perfectly for each guest to have a perfect experience. This place is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants around Omaha. I used to come to the location often when it was The Egg and I. Then First Watch came in and remodeled and the place and now it is ever better. It's now a sort of cool farm house look and it seems much bigger with that small private dinning area knocked down. My boyfriend and I went around 9 in the morning on a Saturday and didn't have any problems getting a seat. We ordered 4 plates; Rainbow Toast, The Amazing Bacon, Eggs Benedict, and the Açaí bowl. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the Açaí bowl but that was just personal preference of not liking a food mildly resembling ice cream for breakfast. Still had a great presentation though. The rest of the food was great. I particularly liked the rainbow toast and will definitely be getting it again if it's still on the menu. Highly recommend going here! read more

I like the menu and juice options. The food is definitely better quality than a IHOP. The service is usually good and the price is a little above reasonable but worth it. The only complaint I have, greet your table more promptly. Just say hi "I'll be right with you " and most people will realize you're busy. Great place to have breakfast. read more

I've tried this restaurant in Texas and loved it so was excited to try it here. I ordered take out and by the time the food got to us (we picked up curbside) it was cold, and kinda soggy.. The eggs both scrambled and sunny side, had this super weird taste, and I'm not sure if it was that day or every day but we couldn't even finish our food. I wish I had a better experience but I probably won't be eating here again especially paying a lot of money for food that could be hit or miss.. read more

I'm a fan of the First Watch Aksarben location and am super excited that they opened a new location in Bellevue! What draws me to First Watch is their focus on fresh ingredients, unique flavors and dishes made to order. We arrived for brunch around 11am and were warmlu greeted by an employee holding the door for us. In its firat week open, it wasn't too crowded for lunch and we chose to sit at the high stool tables next to the bar. Right away we are impressed by the beautiful, rustic farmhouse style decor, with calm blue walls and dark wood accents. My husband jokingly refers to the Aksarben location as being hipster, this Bellevue location has a totaly different feel and I think it works well for this area. We were offered coffee and placed out orders shortly after. Our food was delivered quickly with presentation and taste on point. I devoured the ham and gruyere on toasted brioche that I ordered while my daughter slowly savored her biscuit and sausage gravy until she was stuffed! Our waitress also brought over a carafe of cold water when she noticed our drinks getting low, which was very thoughtful. We both agree that the service and employees were all very kind and attentive. You could feel an air of excitement as the establishment is eager to serve our Bellevue community. I'm glad that this location isn't as busy as their other but I believe it is only temporary, until everyone realizes what a gem of a cafe we've gained! The staff is very friendly it's very open with a very well lit dining room and a conference room area in the back if you want a separate meeting area for a going away or an office party. Chose this place to go out with a small group of friends due to the good reviews. Very open and fresh looking restaurant, like the ones you would see in a restaurant remodel show. Ordered drinks and upon taking a few sips of my lemonade, I noticed that it tasted like a powdered lemonade drink. Noticed there was blue plastic pieces floating around the drink and asked a waitress to take it back, simply asked for water. Food arrived and we only received half of our group's food, and by half I mean exactly half. One friend received her whole plate of food, one did not get hers at all, while my plate was half of the unfinished plate. A few minutes later (a few minutes after my friend finally got her food), I noticed that a waitress was walking our way with a very edge-burnt waffle which was meant for me. Immediately I was asked if it was too "crispy" for my taste, it was burnt. Waitress seemed bothered that I asked for another. Eventually received the check and I was charged for the drink although I barely drank it and it had plastic floating in it. When I was paying I asked (after explaining) to have my drink removed from my check, cashier got very annoyed at me and rolled her eyes at me and stayed bothered the whole time until I left. I did not receive my receipt so I'm not sure if I ended up being charged for the drink (your card will be taken to charge you for the meal). I always hope for the best when going to new places, especially brunch places to go eat. Do not recommend this breakfast place, mostly due to the service, but there are better and more unique brunch places with amazing service that I have been to in the area. read more

This Omaha chain has set up shop in the old egg and I with a more trendy look. I had brunch here the other day and really enjoyed the meal. Coffee was great and they left the carafe on the table which I love as it keeps your coffee hot. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of menu and items. My chorizo omelet was outstanding and the fact that they had grits as a choice for a side made my stomach very happy. The jelly that came with the toast was great as well. I have been to First Watch on 72nd St. and in Bellevue. Menus are the same & I always order the traditional breakfast--scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes & toast. I like the potatoes because they are crispy and the whole grain toast is substantial & delicious with jelly or compote. Today I forgot to ask for crispy bacon but it came that way anyway. Eggs are eggs, although I do think it's kind of an affectation that they use the term cage free eggs as if that makes the eggs healthier. They need to use free range eggs if the really want eggs from healthier chickens. My husband had 2 eggs over easy and a Belgian waffle. He thought it was okay but liked how my breakfast looked better. Both of us though the coffee could be better- it has kind of an aftertaste that we don't like. What sets the Bellevue location apart is the ambience. With acoustic tile dropped ceilings and fake wood floors, sound does not reverberate. We can talk in normal tones and actually hear each other instead of shouting and adding to the din at the 72nd St location. Bellevue is our new favorite. read more

Love first watch!! I've been here multiple times, in multiple cities. Each time the service is fast, the locations are very clean, and the food is delicious. Biscuits and gravy are some of my favorites here, along with the avocado toast. Not to be missed! Coffee is always strong and on point.... As my father would say, it puts hair on your chest. While I have never experienced this unique phenomenon from the coffee, it is good coffee nevertheless. Regardless of where I am at, if I see a first watch, usually stop here and eat. That's how consistently good all of their locations are. For someone who religiously avoids chain restaurants, this it would be one of the chains that I would regularly frequent. read more
