Never seen anything like it thought it was a tree branch but First Inspection verified termites. I had this company come out and spray my house, and my mom's house, in October 2020. I paid for both services in October 2020. Imagine my shock when I randomly got a text today, informing me that I had an outstanding balance due from then, and that I'd be sent to a collection agency if I didn't comply. Luckily for me, I save all of my electronic receipts in an email folder, so I was easily able to verify I paid. I don't remember why I didn't continue service with First Inspection, but I can tell you based on this interaction, I'm sure glad I didn't. read more

I had been using there service for years to spray for scorpions. New person came out Preston. In a careless hurry he sprayed 6 to 8 inches out from the baseboards Instead of spraying the baseboards. He knew I had pets. i cales the office immediately and reported it. Then I tried to mop it all up. The next day my cat became deathly ill. The vet bills came to $1600. The vet listed the cause as insecticide ingestion. First Inspection owner refused to take responsibility and pay any of the vet bills. read more

First inspection is Great! We recently purchased a home and the seller bought their own Termite Warranty (With a different company) for a year to be sold with the house. It was done in April 2018 we moved in July 2018. The other company (who shall remain nameless) didn't assist at all or come back out to fix any issues. I called First Inspection and they answered the first time when I called. Were happy to answer all my questions and were able to come out within the week. I haven't seen a termite tube since after struggling for months. I should've done the best thing the first month we moved in and called First Inspection. Stay away! Been using them for a couple of years and was very happy until recently. I use to get a text reminding me when they were going to stop by to spray, haven't had a text in months. They just show up unannounced and walk right into the back yard which upsets me because I work nights. This month after they were done spraying I get a call from their office the next day waking me up and would like to charge my Credit Card for services rendered, The next day? I have always paid my bill in a couple weeks with bill pay. I told the Lady you were here yesterday and you want to be paid now? Yes was her answer. No common sense at all. I called to talk to the Office Manager who was not much help so I cancelled my service with them, I also asked for the Owner to give me a call because I would like him/her to know what kind of Customer Service they have, still haven't heard from the Owner. From first contact for scheduling my appointment to the inspection everyone was very nice and courteous. #1 a very nice professional sounding lady got my appointment all setup and was super pleasant to talk to while scheduling. #2 Now this is what sets this company apart for me. They gave me a range of time between 12 and 2 that the inspector would arrive. And he arrived right at 1. First time I've actually had someone show up on time. #3 The inspection - thorough and efficient. And quick for getting me the report to send off. It was a refreshing experience from start to finish. Terrible awful service!! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT give this business service! Where do I start? First of all I'm not one for giving bad reviews, I think it's much better to point out the good of a business than the poor, but I feel the need to review First Inspection to save anyone else from the many troubles we have had. When we moved into our townhome, we were unaware that there was a citrus rodent problem. So we reached out to our property managers who hired first inspection to come out and get rid of the rats and mice. None of the traps they set worked, NOTHING WORKED. Also when we moved in, we were unaware that there was a water roach problem (yuck) and since first inspection was already "helping" us with the rodents, it only made sense to ask if they could treat our house for roaches too. They "guaranteed"/"warrantied" their work and the roaches were not going away, so I cancelled any further services from them because they were still having me pay when their treatments were not working. A few months later, they reached out to us saying that we owed them $119 for a service that they never did. Every time they came out, I had to pay upfront, so there was NEVER a point in time where an exterminator left my house without charging me, so I literally have no idea where this $119 charge came from. They called us repeatedly asking for us to pay and every time we told them they never came out for a service and we wouldn't pay because I cancelled future services due to the treatments not working. The second time they called and I explained this to them, the lady seemed very confused and said she would call us back. She never called us back to figure out the situation, instead called a month later asking us for the money again. At this point I didn't know what else to say so I asked my husband to call and talk to them. See the thing is, neither they, nor us have record of this $119 treatment that we owe. Finally this bill went to collections and we are now fighting it. This isn't the first time I had issues with them and their record keeping. Before all this happened, I had called to tell them that their rodent traps were not working and wondered if they could do something else besides set traps, when I had called they couldn't find documentation of my address or that they had ever done a service for us. I eventually had to call them back and they finally figured out where our information was. They never did any further treatment to get rid of the rodents. Instead we had to be woken up one night around 3 am by a rat turning on our Xbox and scaring the crap out of us. My husband beat it with a pool stick and I bought a cat 3 weeks later. That cat has killed about 5 mice. First inspection sucks. Again, NEVER give them service unless you want a crappy job done and money flushed down the toilet. read more

Got a call at 2:10 saying it was gonna be another hour before he got here. Waited another hour. Still no tech showed up. If I treated my customers this way. I would be fired. Starting to get a little concerned. I have been using this company since 2013 and never had an issue. However starting last summer we had a few scorpions in our garage and I found a dead one in our sliding door track. They just came out to spray last Friday 03/17 and I just killed a scorpion outside my garage door from the house, sitting right on the door mat. Not sure if it's the area or company but either way something isn't going right. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. read more

This Company is pure garbage. Every year they remind me when it's time to update my termite warranty. Well, the termites are back so I called First Inspection and they said I have not updated my warranty since 2016 and they would be happy to come out and give me a quote. Well, I guess it's my fault for relying on First Inspection to do their job and let me know the warranty is almost or past due. But I have had previous issue with this crappy company. When everything works out they are happy to take your $$$$$. But when things don't work out it's always the Customers fault. 0 accountability from First Inspection. Honest and professional. I had contacted First Inspection Termite &Pest to treat a termite problem I was having in my garage here in AZ. On the first phone call the customer service was stellar! They were informative, professional, and quick to schedule an in person consult, without a service call fee of course. The owner Matt Robinson showed up at my door and was courteous and quick to see the issue I was having. We went to the garage and showed the termite tubes and he asked how long I have been in the home. My response was for over 1 year and it's new construction. He immediately looked puzzled as termites shouldn't be quick to infest this quickly and asked if I had access to a computer. I did and he advised me to pull up a website to search if treatment has been done before. Turns out it has and advised that the company that initially did the treatment is liable and covered under a standard 3 year warranty and to give them a call to complete the services for free. Matt did not have to do that and has saved me and my family an out of pocket expense. This is the way business should be conducted, with honesty, ethics, and core values. This company came out and did an termite inspection on the house that I was purchasing. A year later I start receiving collections calls for $50 that I never paid. They never sent out an bill, I never saw the inspector to pay the fee. I was under the assumption that it was paid within the closing costs of the house. It would have been nice to send out a bill or give me a call in regards to the fee and not just send it to a collections agency a YEAR later?? I had the pleasure of working with 3 people during my experience with this team after discovering a few termite tubes in my shower. Sharon answered my call to get an estimate scheduled and, by some miracle, was able to get me on the schedule the same day! She must've felt my bug anxiety over the phone... John came to my house later that day and I knew almost immediately I was in great hands. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, leaving me with the impression that he could definitely get the job done. I called in the next day to get my appointment scheduled and was greeted by Jess who was so kind and gladly got me scheduled for the following week. I actually could have gotten scheduled the same week, but I chose to wait a few more days until I could have John come back and take care of this problem for me because I sincerely trusted him to do it right the first time! To no surprise, John came by the house during the scheduled time and within maybe 90 minutes took care of my spot treatment. David Bair did a termite and pest inspection on our home. i understand that mistakes happen, but I cannot overlook this one. Anyway, there was an old, dormant termite tube that he noted, which is fine. BUT he did not look closely enough to see that there was a previous treatment. How do I know this? I had to pay a bug guy to come out to point out that there were drill holes from a previous treatment. David did not check the box on his form that there was a previous treatment. read more

Does any other company require payment within 4 days for what is basically an insurance payment? We used them when we lived in San Tan Valley, AZ and liked them for a while but then when there was a misunderstanding about a bill that I never received they threatened to turn us over to collections. You would think since I had always payed my bill in the past without a problem that they wouldn't just jump to threatening us with a collections agency over $36.00 but that is exactly what they did. I work for a mortgage company and I had to order a termite inspection for a VA refinance. I called at around 4:40 this past Friday (it is Monday right now) to schedule an inspection. I ended up speaking with someone named Dave who told me the best they could do it at the latest was Tuesday which was pretty good in my mind for something so last minute. I got back into the office this morning (Monday) and not only did the inspection already get performed, but the report was delivered by 8:00 AM.
