S tier matcha!!! Might I say it is one of my top three matcha spots? I got the First Flight matcha, which is their version of a double matcha. It was so rich and the perfect sweetness for me. I mean, look at the color of that matcha. BEAUTIFUL. The size of the cup is good for the price too, and I savored each and every sip. I would also like to note that it's $1 for alternative milk. Service is good, and there is some seating in the front of the cafe and a small lounge/couch area in the back of the cafe by the restroom. There is a parking lot in front of the cafe with ample parking. They also sell some really cute merch that I was tempted to purchase. Overall, I love their travel concept and will definitely be back to taste their other matcha options. read more

I've driven by here several times and finally stopped by on a weekend to give them a try. I got their First Flight Matcha with their matcha foam. I asked for it less sweet and paired with the foam on top, it had a nice balance of bitter/sweet to it. I think I still prefer Yeem's matcha, but this is a great alternative if you're in the area and aren't planning to go into Gardena. Parking can be difficult as spaces are limited and the actual space is pretty tight. There are some chairs inside, but I think this is more of a grab and go place. read more

Halfway through the day and I really needed a caffeine kick just small case of the Sunday Blues. I stopped by right before closing and was assisted immediately. I ordered the French Toast Latte, which comes topped with a delicious cold foam. You can get it hot or iced; I went with iced and swapped the whole milk for oat milk. The cold foam is honestly the best part it's incredibly creamy and almost tastes like cheesecake! The shop has seating in both the front and back, making it a perfect spot for remote work. Excellent coffee and service! I stopped here at 830 during the week and was a bit nervous with the line. However they were fast in getting orders placed and even faster with getting my coffee. By the time I pulled my phone out, my coffee was ready. The barista was fast and efficient clearly hitting his flow! Overall the flavors are not very strong. Wish it had more strawberry and matcha taste. If you don't like strong flavors or overly sweet drinks then you might like this. I drove into the coffee shop about three minutes later and then they said they just sold out. Super big bummer. Went with the French toast oat milk latte. It was definitely delicious! Decor is cute and on point with their theme of flights. Even their labels are flight-themed. They have a ton of merch. Perfect if you travel lol. Drinks are great. Super small place so this is a place where you would just grab and go. Service is not the greatest just because they are not very friendly. The workers at the counter are helpful to help decide which drink is what & what I would like more based off my preferences. There's seating right next to the counter or towards the back as well. This is my second time here and it does not disappoint! I got the Honey Cinnamon Latte with Oat Milk. The rich bold flavor of the coffee was complimented by the zest of the Cinnamon. The honey added a touch of sweetness without being over powering and the Oat milk gave it a slight nuttiness. I really enjoy the coffee here. I do wish they had a larger size because once I finish I want another sip. I also got a Strawberry Matcha Latte. So grateful for a woman owned, high quality coffee shop opening so close to home. I love that they now offer a flight for their signature drinks! I highly recommend getting a flight if you plan on staying for a bit. Was surprised how tasty the peaches n' cream was! Although, if I were to get it again as a full size, I would adjust the sweetness to about 30%. You can't go wrong with their first flight matcha which is their double matcha. I love their double hojicha as well. I've had a couple pastries and they've been okay. They do offer to heat them up for you. Located off the corner of Crenshaw Bl and Sepulveda Bl in Torrance in the little strip mall. Parking is shared with the other businesses in that little strip area so it can get filled up. This place has changed its' name many times I been here when it was Ding Tea then they changed to Lotus which I never tried and now it's First Flight Coffee. The inside hasn't changed as far as layout upon entering is the counter to place your order along the wall are some tables and seating and as you walk down the hallway to the back there are more seating basically a couple tables and a couch. I got the strawberry matcha latte it was not bad. The two gals working were friendly and service was pretty fast . Came by to try a new matcha spot and glad to say I found my new favorite!! We got the coconut matcha and the earl grey matcha! The Earl Grey matcha blended the flavors so perfectly -- smooth, balanced, and still surprisingly robust. And the coconut matcha had this creamy, almost fluffy texture, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet like other places. Just clean, smooth flavor... I wanna come back soon to try the other flavors/drinks along with some baked goodies they had We came on a slow day so our drinks came out quick. A new-ish cafe in the South Bay and I love it! Their double matcha was soo good the matcha wasn't too sweet so you could actually taste the matcha. I also loved that it wasn't a tiny cup like a lot of new cafes. The strawberry one was refreshing and not too sweet. I would definitely come back for the drinks. We also tried the croissant cookie which was a good savory but sweet treat. The inside has little seating and limited parking but we were still able to get some on a Saturday morning. absolutely one of the best i've had. i'm not sure if it's in their sweetener or it's their matcha but there is a hint of some faint fruitiness that gives the matcha unique yet refreshing flavor. it's a little papaya-like essence but i like it. it doesn't take away from the matcha which is so strong, and deep. definitely no skimping on the matcha. extra creamy and just perfect. the coconut matcha is probably the best i've had with the best balance of matcha and coconut. super refreshing. only downside is limited parking but worth it. read more

I live down the street and never came because of the long lines! Today I stopped by for a change of scenery to study and so glad that I gave it a chance! I got a Maple Earl Grey Matcha, which was delicious--sweet but not too sweet. $7.50 which is a little steep but on par with other small business coffee shops in the area. Seating: About 5 tables with 2-3 chairs each. Can easily get full but if you can snatch a table it's a great place to study or hang with a few friends. Noise: At 1 PM they had music on at a low volume and the espresso machines running, so I wouldn't say it's "noisey". Bring some headphones and it's unnoticeable! The most noise comes from the traffic outside more than anything. I will be coming back here more often, and it's an overall great choice for matcha! read more

I akin it to a flight crew and how epic their exceptional service really is. I'm not a big fan of coffee but their matchas and teas make my mornings, and the day is smooth flying. I visited First Flight, and my first thought was oof parking is tight! Thankfully, a spot opened up. First Flight definitely has heavy foot traffic, and many frequent this cafe. I ordered an Iced Latte, and it was out within 5 minutes. While the area is fairly relaxing to sit in, the latte was a bit on the bitter / acidic side and not too enjoyable. Which I appreciate because some of these coffee spots just have these menus that are so overwhelming and I just end up ordering an iced vanilla latte because I'm so confused lol. But not here, it's very straight forward. Of course they offer coffee, but they also offer matcha, tea, ades, and light food. I went with an iced honey cinnamon latte. There a lil bit of a line once I walked in, but not bad at all. I got the Yuzu Tonic Matcha and my husband got the Yuzu Tonic Espresso. We both liked the Matcha slightly more! Both are nice summer drinks - the bubbles and the citrus makes this very refreshing and easy to drink. It is a bit on the sweeter side, and I would ask about adjusting sweetness level if possible. I've been waiting for the incoming flight of the newest coffee shop in the South Bay and I am so excited that First Flight Coffee has officially landed this past August 11. Their offerings here are first class all the way. Their drink menu consists of espressos, matchas, ades and teas. Meanwhile their food menu includes bagels, cookies, breads and croissants. This spot really is the perfect spot to make your taste buds soar. For my first visit here, I chose to get their hot Hazelnut Latte ($6.00). (Note: I noticed their menu says the lattes are $5.50 so I was bit surprised to see the extra 50cents. I unfortunately didn't see till after, so I may just have to ask in a future visit if hot drinks are more). I found that the Hazelnut Latte was very delicious. It was smooth, nutty and true hazelnut goodness. Alongside my latte, I got a Strawberry Croissant ($5.25). I also got a Crookie ($5.75) to go for a treat later. The Strawberry Croissant was soaring with flavor. It was perfectly crisp on the outside and so soft and sweet on the inside. The Crookie which I enjoyed later was also sky high in deliciousness as well. I love the hybrid of a flaky croissant and a soft cookie! This was one huge treat too. I learned during my visit that the owners here actually work in aviation and hence the name of the coffee spot. I love this little detail as it shows how creative they are. First flight matcha review! Place was super busy with a constant flow of customers on Sunday morning. I subbed oat milk for $1, which made the drink a total of $8. Very aesthetic green, foam taste was ok, but I think the matcha flavor could be a bit stronger. Overall drink is a bit above average. I didn't adjust sweetness and thought it was perfect. I tried the cold brew as well. It's very acidic and you have to mix the foam, which doesn't mix too well. The vanilla foam is not sweet at all so if you like sweet coffees, this isn't the drink for you. They are pretty fast at making drinks! read more

My husband loved all of the drinks and pastries. The bad: Indoor seating is small so it's not a place you'd study at and linger at for long. I didn't care for the hazelnut latte as much because it had a bitter and burnt flavor to it. I wish the coffee tasted brighter and I wish the hazelnut flavor was sweeter. The peach tea was had a delicious vanilla foam that tasted like ice cream but the tea itself was super sweet on its own. I would've liked for the tea component to be less sweet. I was prepared to try one of their coffees, but pivoted to their Peaches N' Cream tea drink, which was recommended by one of the workers. I had my doubts since I don't typically order tea. However, this drink was delightful in every way. It's bubbly/fizzy and refreshing, perfectly sweet, and to my delight-- paired wonderfully with their cream top. The perfect summer beverage. My husband order their Yuzu espresso tonic, which was also a great drink. This one was also bubbly of course, but their yuzu is what made it so refreshing and special.
