Went here today Saturday afternoon without an appointment because T&T was gonna take 5hrs to complete the job. Walked in this location which I was hesitant about because it was such a dive location but the guy was super cool and less than half the cost time. The icing on the cake was my guy left his wallet in the truck by mistake after just cashing his paycheck...thinking he left it at home got back after eating down the street and walking around the shops wallet was still in the same place he forgot it plain clear view by the emergency brake and untouched all cash in tact! I should have done it much sooner like 5 years ago when I purchased the car. As soon as they finished the tint job on my car, I could feel a world of difference. Hot sunlight is filtered drastically after the ceramic film. Very professional and speedy work. Of course, the tint job passed the safety check. thot about taking my merc to the dealer to get a tint for the 'summer' in hawaii. A cousin told me about First Class tint and said give it a try. it's priced in between the expensive (dealers) and the cheap ones--but my cousin tried the cheap and it started to peel and he had it done at first class tint. I took my C6 Corvette to Jay at First Class Tint after doing lots of research on pricing here in Honolulu. They have the best prices in town by far. He was able to get me in almost immediately and they did a great job. They also do vinyl wraps on cars . When I saw his Lexus I thought it had been painted a flat grey, (car is gorgeous!) When he told me it was wrapped I was taken away. This guy is talented! Of course I found this establishment through Yelp, and I was looking for a place that will be able to accommodate my crazy work schedule, and tint tail lights (yes its not legal and you have to accept that you may not pass safety check or possibly get a ticket). I called and inquired about the cost, and I was reminded that it was illegal, I told them that I understood that and take responsibility. It was fast and quick to get an appointment, I was definitely excited. But the location is kind of troublesome; its a block from Sorabol, and above the Supermarket (take a right in front of the market, then a left, up the ramp and its on the left), the ramp was a bit annoying since it wasn't a large ramp so I was afraid of scraping. I got there, the worker showed me how the lights would look with a smoke tint, but I wanted it to look more aggressive so I went with red. I walked around a bit, window shopped, then ended up back at the shop when they were finishing up (probably took a little over two hours to do since my tail lights are really curvy). It looked exactly what I imagined it to look like, and the price was lower than what was quoted. The shop is small, but they get the job done for sure. Yesterday, I washed my car, popped my truck to clean the inside and I noticed that one small portion of the tint on both sides were not cut well enough so it was like a small flap in the corner. It annoyed me a bit, but I realized that if I want to take off the tint, it would be easy, and its not noticeable when the truck is closed. But that small detail bothered me. Avoid this place, when I lived in Hawaii I had my car tinted here. Lifetime warranty...guess what, one of the windows peeled and I went back and they tried to claim I need to pay for their "labor" to replace the tint, only the film itself was under warranty. read more

Jay and Derek did such an awesome job, and they were the cheapest I could find.(I called a whole bunch of other shops) they were fast as hell too, 2 hours, gave me time to take a stroll at the mall. Super friendly as well. It was kind of hard to find at first because Siri wanted to be a little beotch, but that was the only downside. The hubby is getting his truck done there too. These guys really suck. I went here for a simple 2 door tint job. The wait was short, and now i konw why. When i got my doorlocks worked on, the installer showed me that the tint was cut right above the door line. didnt really notice it at first. So in time, the tint started to peel, so i had to go to tintpros, and they fixed it right up. read more

Seems like the 2 bad reviews for this place have to do with warranty issues. Checked them out with the BBB and there were no history of complaints. BBB gave them an A+ rating. You would think that, if someone had a valid issue, they would file a complaint. Used them years ago to tint my van and they gave me a good price and great results. Brought my Corolla in for an estimate after going to 2 other places. First Class tint (I think he was the owner) was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. I went for a 35 % Solar Guard metal based tint (same one the owner had on his vehicle). $240 price (for all the windows) seemed a little high but it included removal of my old tint (the other places quoted me a $60 fee to remove the old tint) so it actually wasn't. Previous company that tinted my Corolla (bought the car that way) screwed up the back window. Results with First Class Tint were professional, flawless, and fast. Interior of my car is cooler and the tint dramatically reduces the heat from direct sunlight. I am going to return to get the clear ceramic tint for my front windshield to screen out the sun and UV rays. If you want professional results and don't want to take a chance on someone doing a cheap looking job, go to First Class Tint. T&T tinting also seemed like they might be pretty good but I used First Class Tint before so I went with them. read more
