Took my car to Al's tinting to get my car window tinting removed and replaced. I was unsure as to what I wanted as it had been 20+ years since I last had the windows tinted. I chose Al's Tinting because they've been in business 22 year and their customer service over the phone was great. Al was so pleasant, patient, and understanding with me and my needs. He at no time try to upsell me. He showed me the various tints and the sun's effect, which I really appreciated. I ended going with his recommendation and glad I did. The workmanship in removing the old tint and replacement was excellent. They treated my 20 + year old car as if it was theirs. The job time was faster than I expected, just four hours. The location is great near Cutter Ford. Lots of eating places in the area and close to the bus line should you want to leave the area and even Pearlridge Shopping Center. The prices are very reasonable, and they give a $50.00 discount if they remove and replace the tint at the same time. Got my car tinted here a while ago; legal windshield, 35% fronts, and 20% rears. The person who got me setup was helpful on picking out what tint I wanted and the install seemed well done when I picked up the car. However, I can't recommend the shop because when I decided to redo the rear tint recently at another shop (wanted darker) it was found that two of my five rear windows (back windshield and driver rear quarter) were a cheaper, non-matching tint film. read more

I corresponded with Al online and he was patient and helpful from the get go. He had me come in and we went over the different types of films and their advantages against each other, as well as different price points. Despite the newer laws with allowing however dark you want for the rear windows in Hawaii, Al advised me that too dark could cause problems when driving at night. My 2017 Toyota Tacoma tint was starting to bubbled up and I called Al to explain to him what was the problem, I informed him that I had the tint installed at his other location back in the day and I inquired about the warranty to see if it's still valid. Al stated my truck has a lifetime warranty and bring it down to the shop and he'll take care of it. Sure enough, I took my truck down to his new location and Al took care of it and installed new tint. As a young woman, I am scared of getting scammed by car places when going alone due to my appearance. I live in town, but decided to come here after this business was recommended to me by a couple of trusted friends. I'm glad I came to Al's for their honest and efficient tinting service, and I'm happy with the service on my Mercedes GLC done in January. I tinted everything including all windows, the front, and the sunroof. Their tint comes with a lifetime warranty. I also inquired about fixing some minor paint damage due to me backing into a storage, and Al buffed it out with no extra charge. My car looks awesome, sleek, and brand new after coming here. I was able to get a Saturday morning appointment and was helped by Al. He patiently answered my questions about the different tint and heat blocking options, and even took the time to show me examples of tint color on other cars at the shop, since my car already came with a 20% factory tint on the back windows. I went with the darkest tint that was legal and am very happy with the appearance of the vehicle and the heat blocking features, especially living in Hawaii. The heat blocking capabilities are definitely noticeable during the day, both while driving and after parking my car in the sun. I have NOT found it hard to drive at night with the 5% tint on the back windows - one of my initial concerns. I'm glad I went with the darkest option available for privacy and appearance. I was given a discount for paying in cash. I hung around Best Buy and Pearlridge nearby for a few hours, and the communication was clear on when I could expect to pickup my car. The warranties for each window were emailed to me that same day. About three weeks after the service was done, I noticed a bubble on my driver's side window that still hadn't disappeared and some bubbles on my roof. I called and spoke with Aaron, who reminded me to try to park the car in the sun to let the moisture evaporate, and stated that the highest-end type of film that I chose can take more time to settle. I hadn't been doing this since I park inside at home and at work. I was invited to come back to have them check it out anytime, or use the warranty if the bubbles were still there later. I am considering tinting large windows at my residence to block heat and for privacy. Al has a display with examples in the lobby and explained different options to me for my home windows. He runs a honest 'up front' operations. The services and products are the best. Rob came on time to tint my large 8' X 4' half moon window. Rob's vibes were professional and very confident in what he was tasked to performed. Another companies needed 2 to 3 guys to install but Rob was the one and only person for the job. I took my mom's car here to get some tint. She got the UV protection around her whole car including the front windshield which I didn't even know you could do. Anyways, the workers are all friendly and the price is good for the work they do. It took about 3-4 hours for all 6 windows which is pretty good. When the car was done, they even let me know that the rearview mirror plastic part cracked and they had already ordered a new one for her.
