I got my Charger tinted here in June. They were able to take me in last minute and even before the shop was officially open, which I really appreciated. Their pricing was also very affordable and fair. Now that it's been about two months, I've noticed a couple of things with the tint. The windshield has held up great and I haven't had any issues with it. However, I recently noticed a small wrinkle/crease developing on one of the windows. I also noticed that the tint on the passenger-side windows doesn't seem to be cut to the same length. One window has a noticeably larger gap along the top compared to the other side. Overall, the price was great and I appreciated how accommodating they were. I'm a little disappointed with how some of the tint has held up and with the difference in the cuts, but this is just my experience with the work I received. I'd still be open to giving them another shot in the future. read more

I recently brought my new 2026 Lexus RX 450+ to Ohana Tinting in Kapolei, and they met all my expectations. After shopping around and getting multiple quotes on Yelp, Ohana Tinting easily beat out three other competitors with a highly competitive price of $480. I opted for the Xenith 45 ceramic film on all windows and the sunroof as reccomended by their specialist. They offered a great incentive to pay in cash to avoid the standard credit card surcharge, which was a nice bonus. -Appointment: setting up a date and time was easy. -Location: Super convenient in the Kapolei industrial area right behind Costco. -Waiting Area: Very clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, and equipped with a TV to pass the time. -Speed: I was originally quoted a 2.5-hour turnaround time, but they finished the job in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. The quality of the work is very good, and the customer service was highly professional from start to finish. They have absolutely earned my business for any future vehicles. Highly recommended, Mahalo! read more

I recently moved to the island from TX. I had to get my old tint changed since it was too dark to pass the safety inspection. Ohana tinting was one that my coworkers suggested. Called them and got an appointment pretty quick. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They accidentally did not release the window lock and cracked the window when closing the door. They took responsibility and paid for the repair without much hassle. They use Solar Gard for their tint. read more

I made an appointment the day before and the whole process was super fast and smooth. The next day, they took me in right on time. I have a corolla and the service only took about an hour and a half. The staff was friendly and efficient during check-in, which made everything easy. I'd definitely recommend Ohana Tinting to anyone looking for quick and quality service. read more

Great, quality service. Completed earlier than estimated. Would definitely recommend. Happy that they are open on Sundays as well

Sadly today I have to give this shop a 1star today. I had a confirmed auto tint appointment at 11:30am. Got there 5 minutes early to check in but front door was locked. Waited for another 30 minutes but door was still locked. Called the business and left a message, no return call. Maybe they forgot my appointment? The sad part is that I used this business once before and was really happy about their work, so I decided to go back, but instead was sadly disappointed. read more

Long overdue review but I did my Yukon Denali about 5 years ago their best premium tint and it's still holding up MAYJAH till today! No bubbles no discoloring nothing! Best part of the whole thing was they told me hour half to do, they finished in about 45min!!! Found out they have a machine cutter that cuts the tint which cut the install time in half! They had I think 2 or 3 guys installing at the same time. These guys are the best I've dealt with , over the last 15 years I've been getting my vehicles tinted . read more

Fourth time coming here and still no complaints. Easy to make an appointment online and punctual service. I was lucky enough with my timing that I got their Black Friday special so I scored with my price for the better quality tint with a transferable warranty. The quality of their workmanship was flawless and I'm a very satisfied customer. Mahalo again Ohana Tinting! read more

I brought my truck to Ohana Tinting on a Sunday under their all-day wait list, and the experience couldn't have been smoother. From start to finish, their professionalism stood out. The staff took the time to explain the differences in tint options, how each one reacts to sunlight, and most importantly, how to stay compliant with Hawaii's tint laws. I really appreciated how they didn't just rush through the process but made sure I understood everything before making a decision. Their customer service was top-notch--friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They do great work for a great value. If you want quality tint work done by a team that truly cares about both your vehicle and keeping you legal, Ohana Tint ing is the place to go. Highly recommend. read more

I came here a couple of years ago to get my accord tinted and it came out well. Then I went to their location closer to Honolulu to get my brz tinted, and it went ok with some caveats. Decided to make the trek out to Kapolei to get my CTR tinted. Everything went smoothly. Made the appointment online and was able to get a date that Saturday. Awesome! Arrived at the appointment on time and my car was seen immediately. The tinting process took about an hour but they left my car out to "bake" in the sun for 30 mins. 90 mins for a tint job? Not bad. I think I paid around $360 for a sedan/hatchback for their mid tier llumar ceramic which I loved on both my accord and brz. Lifetime warranty but make sure to keep your receipts and the warranty itself. A guy came in needing to get something redone after two years and they seemed able to find him in their system but it probably would have been easier just to bust out the receipts. They had 3-4 guys working in the back. Everyone was friendly. The waiting area has a tv and some random toys for toddlers. A customer seemed had left a smoothie or something out overnight and it had curdled so that was kind of gross. One of the guys noticed it and threw it away. Overall another pleasant experience. It's only been an hour since I left so I'll update if anything goes awry like it did with my brz. read more

Awesome spot for tint! I've been coming to them for the past 5 years! They're quick, and the quality is top notch!

They did a fantastic job on my tint. I got the ceramic tent on the back and side windows of my Tesla. The price was also great compared to the other tint services I contacted for quotes. I called a few places, and they were trying to charge $700. read more

Sorry for this late review, I wanted to make one for the stellar customer service at Ohana Tinting. Long story short so I had a botch job at another tint shop in Aiea, so I call Ohana at the Kapolei location and tell I believe it was Davin who I spoke with on the landline. He tells me he can take a look at it without hesitation, I even tell him I did not tint at Ohana, he says he can still try to resolve. So I go down to Kapolei in the industrial area and see him and explain that the botch job tinter never scraper/squeegee the back windshield good enough, it was already peeling off at the corner. The tinter tried blaming me and made a thousand excuses to try to weasel his way out of resolving it. He claims he had to take off the Lexus door panels fully, that is not true all you have to do is pull away the top part of the panel and take out the sweep, than the tinter can bottom load the tint easily. For someone with over three decades of experience he should know better about Toyota/Lexus door panels and that full removal is not required. Also he damaged my door panel trim pieces on most of the 4 window housing plastic trims where the window switches go in. I can tell it was a small flathead because of the gouge lines on the corners of the window switch housing. Also soap was left all over the seats on leather. Terrible business ethics to be honest, blaming others is even worse and not taking accountability is just a lack of integrity. Also how I found out about the window switch falling down into the door was when my detailer told me about it. Switch housing wasn't seated into the panel trim. I call the tinter and he blamed my detailer for breaking switch who is a known figure in the detailing industry, that got him angry and he told relevant players in the industry to avoid that tint shop. Window switch was never broken. Anyways I go see the tinter at Ohana and he graciously helps me out and squeegees the corner of the tint down, it looked better but wasn't all the way because it had dried up already. It was fine with me as I will remove and replace with LLumar IRX with Ohana. Had LLumar before with a known tint shop years ago and was a good tint. Now I will go to Ohana as a new customer because the legislature signed a new tint law where cars can have darker tint that is uniform with SUVS and trucks. I am thankful of Ohana and the employees and that impression of Davin helping me was someone who went out of their way to help someone even though they never had business relations with them. Because of this I will be a customer of Ohana tinting for now on. read more

I got a quote on yelp from Austin. I shopped around for a while and I found they have the most fair prices. I am very happy with the actual service, and the friendly way and consideration everyone gave me as a customer. I am a very hard to please person and these guys exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend. Thank you, Ohana tinting! read more

Awesome service! Hands down the best tinting location on the island. Had to remove my previous tint after moving on the island. They not only had the best price to remove my illegal tint (for a sedan) but they also had the best price for re-tinting. I was able to have 3 windows removed and replaced for under $250. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking to get tint or needs to replace their current tint for inspections. Ohana Tint, I appreciate you guys so much! I was devastated when I found out I had to remove my illegal 20-5% tint and even more upset when I called 3 other tint places and was quoted over 300 for just the new tint, not including the cost to remove the perilous stuff. I am forever grateful for your value! Thank you! read more

Great customer service and straight to the point. In my opinion the value for the tint is good but also a great price. Install took around an hour and a half for sides and rear windows. Awesome job. My only complaint would be there is no parking at this business, so you would have to double park which is inconvenient to customers. read more

10/19/21 LOCATED in the Campbell Industrial Park area, Lawiliwili is the first left after the COSTCO intersection. When you get to the area, Bldg 3 should be the first one you see. Bldg 7 is in the back. The building numbers won't seem logical... if you drive straight towards back you should be facing Bldg 6 and Ohana Tinting is across. Hubster made an appointment for 10 am. I was the first one there. All we needed was 2 front windows 35% tint so we can pass safety check. It took about 45 mins tops. The waiting area was very accommodating and unexpected. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! read more

So reading things over such as instructions has been very beneficial for me understanding what to do and what choices to make. Now, not everything can be printed out on paper for you to know what to expect. Now that wouldn't be fun now would it? This brings me to Ohana Tinting who has two locations, one in Honolulu near Iwalei Costco and where I am currently, their Kapolei location. The OG location. They sell IRX (very good UV protection and shatter proof capability to your glass. CTX has very similar grade of very good UV ceramic if you choose ceramic but does not have shatter-proof tech. Now if you think about not having one break in your car then shatter proof is good. But I think of worse-case scenario where you land your vehicle in water and you wanna break your glass window. So if you want and maybe can ask is if you can switch up the IRX and CTX. They also have the mid-grade ATR series (metallic tint) main difference is not having the clear and easy connectivity for your cell phone connection. If you purely want just a colored stable dye tint (basic) for privacy they have the ATC series. Not much heat protection but just for the look of tinted windows. There is also a AIR series where you can have the same tech and protection as the IRX just without any shade darker than your OEM windows. I was happy to be back after having my tint on for a little over a year. I did notice small bubbles while cleaning my car about 11 months later. Two months finally call to ask if they would warranty the work and they said I could come in same day. They do make appointments as well. Just be sure to keep your warranty brochure with you. I would suggest your glove box. The waiting area can sit about 6 people comfortably. There are toys for young kids, water and a tv. Since it's a tint shop you will smell chemicals when you are in the waiting room which is where you also pay when they're done. read more

I've tinted 3 or 4 of my vehicles here. The first time I went I got lost in that maze and google maps was no help lol. Top notch customer service and the tint job was just as excellent. It's a family business and I am all about supporting local small businesses whenever I can. They were able to always schedule me in quickly and finish faster than promised. They explain the differences in the tints and materials thoroughly and in terms a non tint expert can understand lol. Their prices are hard to be beat as I found them to be the most competitive tint shop on the west side! All in all, I'm not taking anything anywhere else to get tinted. Terrific customer service from my initial inquiry to the completion of the job!! 10, 10 HIGHLY recommend!!

I just got my 2021 Honda Civic hatchback tinted and it came out really nice. At first there were a few lint bubbles that I could easily spot and see, so I called and asked if they could redo it because I had warranty. Keala was nice enough to redo it and he also let me know that no matter what there will be lint bubbles. (personally I think if you're paying a lot of money to get your tinting done, they should try their hardest to avoid any lint bubble because the tint will be on for a long time. It's not like a screen protector where you can switch it off easily if there is a lot of lint. But since he offered to redo it, I was happy.) Overall I'm happy with how dark the tint turned out after a couple of days. If you're looking to get your tinting done, make an appointment with Ohana Tinting.
