They do a great job and I've taken all my cars to Chauncey. He is very thorough but also fast, with same day I take it it, couple hours later I get it back. He's busy, so you need to make an appointment in advance but it's well worth it. He has a great system set up to remind you of your appointment that texts you to confirm date, then sends you notifications via text as well as your receipt once done. Very easy and automated. Accepts all payments and cards so another easy step. I went with 5% ceramic tint and really keeps my car much cooler in the sun and don't need to crank up the Ac as much as a result. This also means better gas mileage in a round about way. I highly recommend Tint Werks and have sent most of my friends there too. Your car will look a lot better, also less chance of break in if they can't do a quick peak in since can't see in. You can see out no problem. As I drove my tintless Toyota Corolla for over 10 years, I promised myself that the next car I get, I will tint the windows. Thus, when I finally got my delivery date for my car, I booked my appointment to tint all the windows. My best friend's normal tint guy retired, but he recommended Chauncey at Tintwerks. I was able to easily reach him at the number during business hours (they're not open on the weekends). Luckily, he was able to fit me in a few days after I receive my car...what great timing, right? Well, my car's delivery date was pushed back so had to call to reschedule my appointment. Chauncey was very understanding and moved my appointment date back to when I would for sure have my car. Come the day of my appointment, I just had to drive it to tintwerks, give my keys to them, and I went home (I could have waited in their lounge area but I had to get back to work). They told me they would call me when it's done as it would be a couple of hours. True to the estimate, 4 hours later, I get the call. I was super stoked to get my newly tinted car...but Chauncey pointed out that while they were installing the tint, they used the heat gun and it melted the mesh covering on one of my speakers. I was bummed, but Chauncey was on it. He already reached out to either fix the mesh or get a replacement and he would cover the costs. He knew the issues I had with the delivery date being pushed back and having a big scratch/scuff on the rear bumper, so he was very apologetic about the damage as it was one more unexpected repair work to be done on the car before I even drove it for 100 miles. I was not expecting him to take the initiative and start reaching out to get it repaired ASAP but i truly appreciated the quick response. Not only that, but the part took a few weeks to come in. Even after a few weeks, Chauncey still remembered me and, true to his word, he not only installed the part but he also paid for the part. I scheduled my appointment with Chauncey via text and he's quick at getting back to you and getting me scheduled. While my truck was getting worked on, he has a waiting room that has a couch and tv. Waiting time wasn't bad at all, I think i waited a little over an hour but it felt a lot faster then that. I did 35 front driver & passenger, 10 rear windows. I've been coming to see Chauncey for many years now. He's tinted all my cars except for two and I had quite a few in my day. One car (my first car), was because I asked the dealership to tint it. It was a big mistake! Don't have your car tinted through the dealership. They charge you an arm and a leg to go through them. If you have problems, you have to go through the hassle of dealing with them and ultimately they will probably send you to the tint shop that did it and it's a lot of frustration. Go see Chauncey instead! The second car was because I got it from the mainland. If I had a choice, I would have gotten it tinted through Chauncey. He does amazing work with tint. Not only does vehicles but homes as well. The quality is top notch and there is warranty on the different types of film that you get to choose from. He explains all the different types and what what they cover so you get to choose what you want. It's all budget friendly and you can't beat how timely he finishes the job. They told me to go to Tintwerks and I'm so glad I did. They were all so friendly got me in and I had my tints taken out and new ones placed in with warranty. The shop is nice and professional, they took off my old tint and put on the new one in about 2 hours. One of my window's weather strips is a little junk so they let me know warranty wouldn't cover it since the way it was could ruin the tint - totally understandable, and I asked for the tint anyways. They ended up finding a solution so it all worked out anyways. Offered to let me wait in their waiting room (signs limit occupants and request a mask). Really appreciated the work and I definitely recommend their services! Side note: don't listen to google maps when finding the place. It's on the opposite side. Just had them do my tint. I would 100% recommend Tintwerks. They did a very good job and they are priced lower than any other place I could find. I've had a few cars tinted (and yes those should have been done by Tintwerks) and their quality is the same if not higher than all the others. I don't usually post reviews, but in this case it so well deserved. I had my 1st car tinted over 15 years ago with Chauncey. Since then, I had two other cars tinted. Chauncey is the ultimate professional. He is friendly, efficient and totally customer service oriented. I had a ripple in my driver's window on an old tint. The warranty didn't have the registration number for the tint, so probably wasn't covered. Chauncey replaced it anyway. I had already got my new car tinted and paid for. First time getting my vehicle tinted, awesome experience. Got referred to by a friend to check out Tintwerks. Installed ceramic tinting on my 2015 Kia Sedona. Because I wanted ceramic, Chauncey (owner) suggested to not go any darker than 40% tint for the front windows, since the legal limit is 35% and that ceramic - due to its thickness - would be as equal to a 35% tint if I chose a metallic tint. Also installed 20% ceramic tint for the back windows and 75% tint for my windshield (another legal limit) I give Chauncey, for his service and pricing, a 5-star. As for the tint, Chauncey uses SolarGard as his ceramic tint brand - which is listed as one of the top 3 brands. After having the tint installed on my vehicle for more than two months, I would give the SolarGard brand a 4-star. It produces a haze only when the sun hits to glass directly, which is something I've found through Google that other owners have reported the same issue. Nothing on Chauncey, just the brand that he uses. HOWEVER, that's probably a good reason why his prices are reasonable compared to using the Pinnacle Formula1 brand which T&T Tinting uses. In terms, you get what you paid for. Still, if your on a budget and you want quality service, I would recommend Tintwerks. read more

Just took my 2015 Chrysler 300 to get tinted and it came out GREAT! There was a scheduling foul-up but the owner Chauncey took care of it and was able to accommodate me for the date and time I originally asked for. The car took about 2-ish hours I think, and you are able to wait at the shop for your car to be done. They have an air conditioned waiting area with a TV and very comfortable leather sofa and chair. The shop is hard to find, there isn't a sign on the outside of the building but it's located right behind the BMW dealership and if you are coming from the Ewa side it's just after Kakaako Fitness place, it's a red faced building with white concrete walls I think. All in all, if you need your vehicle tinted this is a good place to take you car to. read more

This week I called friends who tint as well as friends of friends then we called tintwerks and they beat everyone out and with a good product. I got friend quotes for 200 and tintwerks came in with 160 and they did the front strip which was extra from friends. COME ON! For years I've taken my cars to friends who tint for a living sorry but that's a thing of the past. Do not bother going to any other tint shop! Tintwerks is SO affordable, yet their work is extremely good. I took my 2008 G37 Coupe to remove the illegal 5% tint and put on legal 35%. I opted for the cheapest tint: the smoke charcoal. It comes with a 3 year warranty. It was $20 for tint removal, and I believe $120 or $130 for the entire car (this was done a while ago, but I'm only writing this review now), which is two front windows, rear windshield, and the two small triangle windows. However, he knocked off the $20 for the tint removal because we had a mutual friend. I was extremely satisfied with the end result. No shoddy work whatsover. Clean cut borders, tint all the way to the edge of the glass, no bubbles, no wet spots in my car, no messed up panels or rubber lining. Top quality work at bargain prices. The work was done same-day, in about two hours. There's nothing bad I can say about Chauncey and his business. I will occasionally get automotive tint specials from other companies through Groupon or Living Social, and I laugh when I read into them. These other company's Groupon/Livingsocial prices are STILL HIGHER than Tintwerks' REGULAR prices. I have a new car now and will be going to them again.
