We were hungry and around the Eiffel tour area with our kids. This place was great! Service was excellent and our food came quickly. Kids' portions were huge esp for Europe but even for the States! I had the eggplant lasagna which was delicious. My husband had the salad with grilled vegetables and fried mozzarella which he enjoyed. I always hate writing a bad review, but do feel a bit obligated to warn people about my experience. First, I should say the ambiance at night is especially nice and the location, being a stones throw from the Eiffel tower, is convenient for tourists. The service was also good. The staff speaks multiple languages catering to tourists from all over the world. It follows then, that we saw was nothing but families of tourists crammed on to a terrace eating overpriced food all hoping for an authentic Parisian dining experience. Of which, this was not. I found the prices to be extremely high for the quality of faire offered, even for a tourist trap -over $11 USD for a glass of coke! I've travelled extensively all over the world and Firmine sets the record for the most I've ever been charged for a coke -including airports and amusement parks! The price of the coke unfortunately is representative of the rest of the menu. Exceptionally overpriced, for average (at best) food. I feel this restaurant caters specifically to people who do not check the menu carefully... as the management has confirmed in recent replies to other reviews, in which they brazenly dismiss other complaints saying, "that's why we have the menu on display outside". Oof, brutal! Just for funsies, I'd like to ask Firmine Managment to reply to this review and tell me of any restaurant, that charges more than $11 USD for a coke -any restaurant, anywhere in the world. On to the food, I had the roasted chicken. This was a tiny, tiny chicken. Its like the size of a KFC chicken -but smaller. But that's ok, since my jaw got tired from chewing it before i could finish (see picture). It was very dry, bland and extremely tough -like low sodium chicken jerkey. It reminded me of when I once tried to cook a raw chicken breast in the microwave and set the timer for waaaaay toooo long. On the plus side tho, they serve it with a small cup of drippings, which u can use to rehydrate the chicken a little before putting it in ur mouth, but once that runs out, or ur jaw gives out, meal over. I would comment on my girlfriend's order, but I feel I've already spent too much time on this place... as you should feel too having read this review. In sum, there are much better options in the vicinity. But as not to be a complete Debbie Downer, I'll end this review on a positive note, the 4 year old at the table next to us semed to really enjoy the pizza, as he incessantly screamed out "PIZZA! Hate to say bad things, but need to warn others. This place has "barkers" on the street trying to pull you in.... (first red flag). We'd eaten here before and the food is mildly just-okay. My ONLY challenge with this place is that it's an over-priced tourist trap - and will charge you way more than you should pay. Service is fine, they speak multiple languages of couse, and given the location they sing their swan song to tired and hungry tourists. I would recomend you not eat here, and instead cross the Champ-de-mars directly and head for "Pizzeria la gourmandise" on 28 Rue Augereau. It's a 5 minute walk away and 1.) The food is a thousand times better, 2.) Prices are VERY reasonable and 3.) Staff friendlier and 4.) NOT a tourist trap. read more

Food was just ok. Biggest problem is the prices. 9.5 euro for a coke. 12.00 for medium to small deserts. Obviously likes to take advantage of tourists and I say that cause tipping is not like in the US and the other places I've been to don't even have a place on the bill for tipping. On there machine tipping STARTS at 10% and goes to 20%. They advertise 20.00 to 40.00 per person by the time you're done it's 100.00 EURO and then the expected tip on top of that. Everyone around us seemed to be American I guess the lady out front showing the menu and trying to get you to eat there helps the type of clientele take have. This was a Yelp recommendation so we tried it. It is conveniently located near the Eiffel Tower so it was a quick walk from the park. The staff was incredibly friendly and eager to serve. The ambiance was quaint with lots of festoon lighting and convenient street seating. We chose to sit inside out of the damp. Our server recommended our drinks and some of our entrees. We started with a couple of speciality drinks, a Chambord Royal and a Red Basil (gin drink). Service was incredibly fast and before you knew it we had our starters - French onion soup served in small copper pots. It was very flavorful! Our entrees were four cheese linguine, a Parma pizza and flank steak with fries. All were very good. The pizza tasted wood fired and the crust was well browned. The flank steak was a bit tough but clearly was charcoaled. It was very tasty. The linguine was also quite good but was so huge a portion we could not finish it. Note, when in Paris, a small beer is about 8 ounces and a large is 15 ounces. I should have asked to see what a large looked like; close to a 32 ounce mug! We were walking back from the Eiffel Tower around 9:30PM when we stumbled across this place. I did a quick google search and the reviews seemed decent enough for us to stop by. The menu looked promising and as we were reviewing, a waitress came by and offered us an English menu. They were packed but we managed to sit at a table on the side with a hanging chair. We ordered the roasted chicken plat and a prosciutto pizza with arugula, tomatoes, and tomatoes (I believe it was the "Parma" pizza on the menu). The food was really good! Pizza was loaded with toppings and lots of cheese. The roasted chicken was flavored well, moist, and even the side of fries were crispy and served hot. They had great service and we noticed that the waitress popped over several times around the corner to check on us. When we didn't need anything, she never interrupted our meal but we noticed and appreciated how attentive she was. Later on when we got back to our hotel, I was surprised to read reviews calling this place a "tourist trap" with servers requesting people to leave tips but thankfully we didn't have this issue - the waitress brought us our receipt and after we confirmed the total, we paid as normal with no issues. Very close to the Eiffel Tower and despite the distance, the prices were reasonable especially given the generous portion sizes. read more

Oolala, absolutely loved our experience at Firmine. We sat on the inside right by the window on cute Parisian colorful chairs. Our waiter was very friendly and offered some suggestions since my daughter is vegetarian. We ended up choosing escargot for me, onion soup for her, and a focaccia bread to share (& that was my favorite surprise, so moist and flavorful with grated parmesan and fresh greens on top. My sauvignon blanc paired very nicely with our dinner. The restaurant is decorated so cute with a ton of flowers surrounding the walls and ceilings. They even have a couple of tables out front with swinging basket chairs. Best wait staff, really warm and welcoming. Do not eat here if you have dietary restrictions or allergens. We had a celiac in the group, and he ordered a "Sans Gluten" or gluten free meal, but he became very very ill afterwards for the entire night. His symptoms are consistent with consuming something containing gluten. The menu clearly labels that it does not have gluten, which is why we selected this place to dine in the first place. We even confirmed with the waiter twice, once before ordering and once again after it arrived at the table. I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could.
