Sitting on a street with numerous cafes and bakeries this restaurant that advertises pizza, breakfast and burgers didn't make our must try in France list. However, we came in for a bite and drinks and I must say it was a great meal. The pizza was perfectly cooked and very good. The mac and cheese was freshly made and basting in cheese. Ate here on our last evening in Paris and I'm very glad we did. No one was pushy, very relaxed environment for dinner. Very friendly staff, spoke English. Located on a very charming street with both outdoor and indoor seating. We did not need a reservation, they took us right away. They had some great entrees as well (the chicken was my favorite), and I felt that it was the best we had in Paris during our busy stay at this price point. The staff answered our questions. We arrived on a fairly busy Thursday night. Rue Cler is my favorite Street in Paris... So many great spots to eat. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The food was ok. We had an appetizer of crispy chicken, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and a small salad. My fiance had the Cambrione pizza and I had the Steak with bernaise sauce and fries. The pizza was delicious. The appetizer and steak entree were just ok. The sauce was excluded from the entree, the steak was under cooked and extremely tough. I absolutely love the atmosphere though. read more

We were staying right in the heart of Paris and Tribeca was right near the hotel. With a name like that, we had to give it a try. Like many of the cafes here, they seem crowded at all hours. We were able to get a table for 7. Service was kind of slow, but this is not unusual for this area. We started with a bottle of Bordeaux which was exceptional. I ordered steak frites with a ribeye. The steak was a little tough, but cooked well. The fries were delicious. I also tried a ham and mozzarella open-faced sandwich. That was really good. For dessert, we all shared some profiteroles. I went here with a small group and it was good - especially for the price. I got a pasta (with cheese and spicy sausage) for 9€ and it was filling and good. Everyone else was happy with their food and two of my friends really recommended the pizza. The portions are actually quite large, so that's pretty great :) I wouldn't recommend coming all the way out to Rue Cler to have some food here (I think I prefer Café du Marché next door), but it's pretty decent :D Perhaps we were just placed in a bad location, but I had a difficult time getting the server's attention for a carafe d'eau. There definitely wasn't enough water the whole time. Although my pasta was good, I was shocked to see that there was a large pool of olive oil at the bottom. :x It made the pasta really good, but it definitely did taste quite oily. There was a little pot of parmesan cheese and a balsamic vinegar spray, which I used liberally. :) ___________________ Pas mal! Pour le prix, la nourriture est superbe. I was feeling a little under the weather, and the place we initially stopped for lunch wasn't quite what we were hoping for. We made a couple of twists and turns and eventually ended up at Tribeca just before it started storming. It seemed as though there was a bit of a working lunch crowd in the area, so it was a little full. However, we were quickly seated and proceeded to order. Trying to recover I didn't order any alcohol, but one of my friends had the Chianti Classico. They said it was quite good. Among us, we ordered the fettuchine Alfredo with chicken, the lasagne Bolognese, and the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. The chicken, although a little dry, was well seasoned and tasty. The mashed potatoes were delicious and smooth. It was just what I needed; some home cooked food to help me feel better. All the food came with a small salad which was fresh and crisp. Because I was a little sick, I didn't try my friends food, but they both cleaned their plates. It looks like a great place for lunch, and there's also and happy hour, so it may be great for that as well. Great service and good food. Definitely worth checking out. read more

On our last day in Paris we ate here. Glad we did. The staff were friendly, spoke English and explained their menu. They were considerate enough to explain to us that some of the veal on their menu was regular and some of them were veal kidneys. The french food here is amazing, but so is their Italian fare. The roasted Camembert and escargot were both awesome, as was their wine selection. The veal marsala was excellent and was served with home-made pasta noodles. We were very impressed and highly recommend this place. read more

After a day of sightseeing that ended on Rue Cler, we stopped at Tribeca for "happy hour". My kir royale was small but tasty. They have a list of drink specials but also have a full bar if you want something specific. We were a little hungry so we ordered the charcuterie plate which was much larger than expected and really delicious. I especially liked the eggplant spread. It was reasonably priced especially considering we were able to sit outside and people watch. The staff didn't hurry us at all and were very friendly. read more

My husband and I went here as soon as we landed in Paris. We were hungry and strolled to rue cler from our hotel 2 minutes away... And I'm so glad we did. The food was really good. I had the chicken and he had the fish. The portion sizes were large too!! (In Canada our portion sizes are smaller) so we were very satisfied since the last thing we ate was airplane food. The servers were so sweet and polite and really helped us out, even with our broken French. She even practiced with me on how to say "I'd like the bill please" hehe I'm really happy we went here, it was fairly busy but the food and service was quick. read more

A great little restaurant on Rue Cler! Nothing too fancy or pretentious.... just a good place to get a hearty meal and do a little people watching after a long day of sightseeing. The service is very good and the prices are pretty reasonable for the city. I can't speak French at all, but our server was satisfied with me just pointing at an item on the menu and blubbering out my best "S'il vous plait". They were in such a hurry that just wanted to get your order as quickly as possible. Our experience there was so good that we went there twice during our stay. Highly recommend! Perfect little street, open aired, and the steak was just yummy. We had salad, pommes frites, and steak and beef tartare which were just tasteful. I came to this establishment due to it being close to my Hotel during my Honeymoon. The positives about this establishment are: they speak English, the food is not terribly expensive for a weary traveler, and they are open pretty late. The cons are: the food isn't Edgar i would consider great quality, the mix drinks are very weak, and the waiter did ask for a certain tip amount (I thought that was odd). All in all i would defiantly go back to this establishment and bring friends. read more

Ordered an aperitif called Kir Van Blanc, which was around 5 euros, but the waiter misheard us and brought out a red wine. I should have known better and assumed he gave us the wrong drink as the name suggests that it was white; however, I thought nothing of it. Lo and behold, the check comes out and he'd given us the Kir Royal, which was a whopping 11 euros per glass. The wine wasn't bad but when you get hit with 22 euros rather than the expected 10, you can't help but feel a bit angry. When we pointed out that we can actually ordered a Kir Van Blanc, the waiter just laughed and said, oh I thought you said Royal! Oops! Like yes, your inept ears cost me 12 euros but whatever. The food was actually good, but the waiter's mistake definitely put a damper on the good food. read more

My husband has food allergies and the wait staff were amazingly helpful. We were in Paris for a week and ate here everyday. It was so comforting knowing we had one place that he could eat at. I loved Tribeca! We went here twice for dinner, because it was great food and service at a unbeatable price. On both nights I had the plat du jour. The first night, I had the best pesto gnocchi of my life. The next night I had an amazing vegetable quiche. The wine was also very reasonable. The others in my party also really enjoyed their meals. I did find it amusing that the young Parisians are seated outside, while the tourists are seated inside. I also like to play the Rick Steves European drinking game here, every time you see a Rick Steves guidebook you take a drink. Please make sure you only play this game with wine or beer! read more

Oh Tribeca, you were my favorite restaurant in Paris. It was so good that my parents and I ended up here many times during our weekend trip. This was my first time in France and Paris. As a self proclaimed foodie and loyal Yelper I was looking forward to try some amazing Persian food. Most places were disappointing until we found Tribeca. The food was good. I loved the one past dish with Gorgonzola and Pears, so good and vegitarian which is a rarity in Europe. Another time during lunch I got a club sandwich which was also good. Really delicious dinner on Rue Cler We stumbled upon this place on the bustling Rue Cler, and it ended up being one our best dinners in Paris. The decor is very clean and modern, and their menu offers great pasta and pizza dishes. We had their rigatoni in alfredo sauce and pizza with sausage and olives. The alfredo sauce on the pasta was seriously the best alfredo sauce that I have ever had, anywhere. It was rich and creamy, yet light and not oily and greasy. The chicken in it was cooked to perfection, and soft and delicious. I've been to italy before and this still tops some of their pasta dishes too The pizza was extra cheesy and the sausage had great flavor. The olives were tossed whole on top, which was kind of weird that they weren't sliced, but still tasty. We also had their tiramisu, but that wasn't as great as the meal was, and we had better tiramisu at other places in the city. Service was english-friendly, and their patio area was super popular as the night went on. Prices were decent too. Hubby wanted to come eat the pasta again the next day! read more

We had just finished a marathon walking tour of Paris and headed for Rue Cler. Once there, we realized we were famished and it was prime lunch time. Cafes were all packed and it was sunny and hot, so we were scoping for a spot outside but shaded...not too much to ask for, non? Enter Tribeca. We took a quick gander at the menu and sat down at one of the last available outdoor tables. I ordered my Paris usual, a goat cheese salad. This one arrived with the goat cheese gently enveloped in a thin pastry shell and cooked to a golden color - beautiful! It had the requisite butter lettuce, tomatoes and drizzle of honey in addition to the dijon-based dressing. I want to give Tribeca more stars but that wouldn't be fair to the other places I gave more stars to. It just isn't as good. The only reason I would go up one star is because of the location, Rue Cler. It is one of the few streets in Paris that has very minimal cars, which means no honking (rarity in Paris) and great people watching, something that I truly appreciate for a drink with friends. The prices and meals are average and the service is ok. This isn't my first choice on Rue Cler, but often it's the only one. read more

This was my favorite casual restaurant on my trip. The dim lighting and the light orange and purple English menus border on the ridiculous as they are impossible to read. Once you get past that, the food is outstanding. I recommend the green beans and mushroom appetizer. Actually, it's a half bushel of green beans. My favorite meal was the Lasagna Bolognese. Creamy, flavorful, and filling. I ate it several times. And the duck was pretty darn tasty too. Plus we got some entertainment watching the staff trying catch a pigeon that had come inside and nestled on the shelf above the tables. Not too expensive, not too pretentious, and a good place to recharge your batteries before you head out to tackle the 7th again. read more
