The wood did come with a fair amount of loose bark, but I used it for mulch around the racks. They are respectful of permit rules, I have one tree with many trunks that they trimmed as much as they could but suggested I'll need to revisit it this summer when it's more clear how much is dead and make sure it's finished off within permit rules. They don't do permits themselves but can refer someone to help if the homeowner isn't up for it. There was quite a bit of debris from the trimming but when they left the yard was fully tidied, the furniture moved back into place, and the decaying gate carefully closed with a prop against it.
