What a well oiled machine! We had 2 fir trees removed that were surrounded by shrubs & emerging flowers and there was barely a whisper of damage to any of them. Said they'd start at 7:30a. First crane arrived at 7:10 & balance of equipment & manpower showed up by 7:30. I think there was a total of 10 workers. Wow, was our crew professional. Very attentive to safety, efficiency and cleanliness. They worked around power, phone and cable lines without incident. Bought two cords of firewood of the mixed maple , I was told after asking that the wood was dry , seasoned and ready to burn took a few days to deliver and I stacked it all in my garage as I do every year. This wood is NOT DRY AT ALL , dry wood doesn't fry and spit sap!!! I don't like being lied to after paying $ 930.00 !! Not a good business practice to lie to a customer! My neighbor hired them to remove a bunch of giant cedar trees that were in a difficult location. I let them rig up with their crane and log truck in my driveway for better access. I was beyond impressed impressed by how they didn't damage anything and got the trees out in a tight spot. I asked if they'd have time to limb up and thin out some big fir trees on my property. They said sure and we agreed on $2,200 to do it. They spent about three hours on it and didn't remove any of the larger size branches. Honestly you could hardly tell they thinned them out. Maybe just some quick cash or maybe a misunderstanding on what I wanted to get accomplished. I was irritated but just figure I'd chalk it up as a misunderstanding. I come home later that day to find brambles and small branches all over the bottom of my driveway that they didn't clean up. They got 70% of the debris and then just said the hell with it I guess. This is the actual factor that put me over the top and triggered this review. As I guy who has been in business in construction for the last 15 years, I would never leave someone's property a mess and then walkaway with a check. Sorry to be the guy who had to write this and if you knew me you would know I'm not the type of person to take the time to leave a review let alone a negative one. We live in Puyallup and contracted P'n'D Logging and Tree Service to remove a 50-foot Ponderosa Pine with a split/twin trunk. The tree was in a corner of our backyard, within a few feet of the fence with a neighboring home within 30 feet and established plants on both sides of the tree. I fully expected some plant damage considering the proximity of the plants. P'n'D was responsive from the git-go in mid-August; I had an on-site quote within a week; the price met my expectations for the tree removal and hauling away all the wood and brush. The crew arrived on time on the September 15th and got right down to business. The crew boss scaled the tree with deft and agility, making short work of the tree. Every branch was tied off and surgically removed and lowered avoiding the fence and surrounding plants. When the 2 trunks were topped, it was done with extreme precision with a controlled fall, again avoiding any damage to the fence and in the end, we had very minimal damage to the surrounding plants. It was amazing considering the plants were within feet of the tree. The crew was very efficient in all regards and well managed. The tree was completely down and most of the crew left in about 2 hours leaving 2 or 3 crew members to finish cleaning up the area and checking the neighbor's property and removing any debris that landed in their yards. I used this company years ago, I was so impressed on how their set up was. They were polite, even cut some trees on the other side of my fence, back yard, with no extra cost. When they were done, the clean up was so good, you couldn't even tell they were here. Cost was a lot less than other bids I got. My neighbor wanted to cut some of their trees down, but it was so expensive, they couldn't afford it, I gave them P&D phone number. They called that night, got one of the lowest bids they have gotten so far, and they came out a few days later, cut all the trees down, stump grind and clean up was amazing, as it was years ago. I submitted an online bid to multiple companies for tree stump grinding and the folks over and P'n'D reached out promptly to schedule a free estimate. Chris arrived on Monday and walked around the property noting the details and scope of the project. Within 15 minutes I had a quote in hand for ~18 stumps of various size for a very reasonable price with him thinking they could begin work in about 5 - 10 business days AFTER I followed up with them and confirmed the job. On Thursday we reached out to the office to book the job and lucky enough they had availability the very next morning. Forward to this morning and the technician arrived on time at the house and immediately walked the property to identify the trees stumps and he got right to work. We chose to leave the ground stumped material in place to level out some pretty uneven area. After all of the trees were ground down the tech came back with his gas blower and cleaned up any loose material that was blown onto the drive way. Everyone has off days and I will definitely hire for the next round of tree removal . 3/25/22: They made a few appointments which they had to change , which happens so I'm not really upset over that but combined with the mess left it dropped the rating. They bid for 7 trees and 4 stumps to grind. They only ground 2, . Had drive blocked over weekend and had to park at neighbors, they were coming back for final load on Monday, they called a Monday at 10 am to change to Tuesday., had to take another day at home. . Called right back with a quote, price was very competitive, and talked me into the lower price point for our intended use (outdoor fires and camping). Delivered the next day within the window specified. Wood is very well seasoned, split, and nice and dense ( we were buying bundles at the store and that wood is like burning compressed paper towel roles) I broke down a few pieces for starter wood and it splits with little effort. Tested out in our fire pit, the wood burnt very well, slow, with a nice flame, and burnt for a long time. Would highly recommend for camping outdoor needs and the do sell hardwood for indoor fires but can not speak to this. read more

Just had some tree work done by P&D Tree Service &, given my positive experience, feel a good review is appropriate. From the point of requesting a quote to completion of the job, communication was great. Office staff promptly responded to my questions, & coordinated quote and work to accommodate my schedule. Onsite crew were responsive to my questions & assured my satisfaction with the completed work before leaving. Owner came out and gave me a fair quote to remove 5 trees (2 of which were dying hemlocks beside the power line on my property). He explained trees by power pole could be removed safely using a bucket truck and would not require lines be dropped by PSE. I chose to have P&D do my work based on a fair quote, confidence in their record, and positive reviews from friends who have worked with them over the years. On the day work was scheduled, the crew (think there were 7) arrived on time and quickly got to work after verifying the work to be done as shown on the quote. From the moment they set foot on my property, it was clear to me they knew how to safely and efficiently remove multiple trees. In less than 2 1/2 hrs they had dropped/chunked my five trees and cleaned up all debris/limbs. I had previously asked the office if they would put me on a list to get a chip dump at some point and the crew was able to empty the chips from their truck before leaving. I've had many trees removed by other companies during the years I've lived on my property and can't say I've ever had a negative experience with any of them (except maybe price). I'd give 6 stars. They define efficiency. A team of 9x workers and each knew their job. The key leaders operate with headset communications systems to ensure safety and communication with all involved. Took down 4 tall pine/cedars between two homes, in a steep hill, next to a 2 lane road, and a light post in between. All trees removed, stumps ground, and peace and quiet in less than 2.5hrs. I would have more pics of the operation, but I took all video because it was happening so fast and a sight to see. I got 5 quotes from other contractors, and P n D was 2nd in terms of best (least) cost, but you have to factor in the fact that no other company I contacted comes in with a crane, mulcher, hauling truck, bucket lift, stump grinder, this big a crew, and can do this type of job in this amount of time. P'n'D is great! I had to remove a 160-feet tall half rotten poplar from my back yard. I had more than 10 business over for bids and several of them literally walked out upon seeing the location and condition of the tree. P'n'D was the one that not only appeared confident but also gave me the best price among all companies. On the job day, the 8 people crew quickly got everything set up and started the removal process. I was amazed by their efficiency and the fact that everyone knows where they need to be and what they need to do. The crew also hauled away all wood and debris like promised. Everything was done in a clean and professional way. There were minor damages to the fence during the removal process, which was understandable given the size of the tree and the little backyard space I have. P'n'D sent a licensed handymen over the next day to fix the fence, which turned out great. I am very impressed with the service P'n'D provides and would definitely use them again for future tree pruning and removal needs. Also P'n'D is not on City of Seattle's registered tree service provider list yet, however I have confirmed with the city that they are eligible to perform permit-required larger jobs in Seattle. We just had PnD remove 4 trees and thin about 7 or 8 others. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Ultimately, our decision came down to who we felt most comfortable with and that wasn't out to collect a commission or BS me. Another reason we chose PnD is because other companies anticipated 3-4 days for removal. Chris Jr. and his team removed 2 cedars and 2 firs with a crane, limbed up 8 other trees and cleaned up all within about 4-5 hours! Please note - this is a well-oiled machine and these guys move quick. Most importantly, they're safe, considerate and friendly.
