What a great crew! From beginning to end, we have been constantly impressed. I chose them from about 5 other bids, and I'm glad I did. First impression: Elliot cares about trees. This clearly isn't someone who just wants to take money and knock down trees. He wanted to know why we wanted to remove each tree and provided suggestions, including recognizing which trees were strongly rooted and not of concern. He pointed out easy removals (that we could do) and ones that would be more complicated. His proposal was the most detailed. All the other quotes only provided a dollar amount without detailing their plan. We have a difficult property. We are on a hill, and the trees of concern were located close to our and neighbors' homes. So they hired a crane. It was genius! The job was obviously much safer, faster, and had less impact on our neighbors instead of chopping and dragging tree parts through all our yards. The crew were very polite and friendly. Eric, Ethan, Correy, and the crane operator talked through their roles and the plan for the day. There were others, and I wish I could recall their names! We added another tree the night before, and they adjusted the invoice to accommodate us. After, they cleaned up, leaving very little trace of their presence except for some logs, rounds, and a large pile of chips (all as requested). Elliot came the next day and we discussed ideas of where I might add some fig trees. This guy really knows and cares about trees. We will continue to work with them as we learn more about our property. I'm not sure how their bid really compared with others because while the others were mostly less, they didn't provide a detailed quote. Let them come and talk trees with you. I can't say enough good things about Landmarq. I hired them to cut and remove trees, brush and vines in the back of my house which involved the crew to jump a fence to reach the work on a slope. They arrived on time, immediately got to work, cut all the trees, brush and vines, and with a huge crane, after bundling all the cuttings, lifted it over the house and guided it to the area where the chipper was. After chipping all the cuttings, when they left there wasn't so much as a twig left in the chipper area. Had to have a large pine tree removed from my small backyard on Capitol Hill. Elliot came out and gave us a great quote, a bit cheaper, than the other quote we got. The tree was particularly difficult because it's in a very urban neighborhood, with a tiny yard and power lines under the tree. The bulk of the work took 1 full day to get the limbs and trunk down. Stump grinding took about 3 hours the next day. They left our property and the neighbors' properties clean and damage free. Couldn't be more pleased with Elliot and his crew. read more

I used Landmark to remove a large, poorly placed Leyland Cypress tree. From the start, I was impressed with their response and professionalism. The job required a crane, a cool bonus for the COVID-bored kids in the neighborhood. All were awed by the process. Landmark cleaned up the mess, and left me (at my request) a 6' stump for an art project. My only irk was that the job took a couple hours longer than they anticipated--equipment issues--and they wanted me to pay the extra cost over their quote. I compromised and split it. Elliott of Landmark Tree Care came the very next day after my request. He did a very good survey and walked me through some concerns I had. I found him to be very knowledgeable and personable. However, I didn't receive his estimate until two weeks later. We received 6 responses to our request, met with five of them, and received three quotes. I would say that the 7-page proposal by Landmark was by far the most thorough, detailed, and understandable of the three. When we made our request through Yelp, we made it clear that we were making the requests for budgeting purposes, for work next year. Had a tree removed. They guy that gave me the estimate said they could leave some small peaces if. I wanted. I told him that would be nice. After they took down the tree they left many frekesly large peaces. Now way I normal home owner has anything to cut that stuff down. I called rhen up and spoke to Emilio. He said he would get back to me. Almost a week later he says he can send somebody out for 200 bucks. But I already payed for the tree removal I told him. So looks like you pay for tree cit down and removal then they leave giant rounds and charge you more to take them. read more

Elliott, Noah, George Josh worked 8 hours to remove 3 trees, prune 12 large rhododendrons, sculpt a magnificent Japanese maple, turn a gangly plum tree into a beautiful sight, not to mention prune a dozen arborvitae damaged from the heavy snow into something to be proud of.
