We just had PnD remove 4 trees and thin about 7 or 8 others. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Ultimately, our decision came down to who we felt most comfortable with and that wasn't out to collect a commission or BS me. Another reason we chose PnD is because other companies anticipated 3-4 days for removal. Chris Jr. and his team removed 2 cedars and 2 firs with a crane, limbed up 8 other trees and cleaned up all within about 4-5 hours! Please note - this is a well-oiled machine and these guys move quick. Most importantly, they're safe, considerate and friendly. Chris Jr. already knows he'll be back out for more tree removal needs in the future and I cannot wait to see the show all over again (I'm sure the neighbor kids can't wait either). Thank you all for kickin' a** and working hard! We are extremely impressed and thankful. read more

Hire this company! Best bids, on- time, efficient, and skilled at trimming my giant cedars on a bank from a bucket truck! Meticulous shaping and clean-up work. read more

I had a huge tree in front of the house and this company took care of it. The estimate was very similar to the one from some local guys that work by themselves and cut trees traditional way. The P&D team came with a crane 2 trucks and at least 8 people. The tree was cut and everything was cleaned up in less than 2 hours. Amazing job, I will use their services on other occasions too. read more

I buy firewood from PnD about once a year or so. Their price is a bit higher than what you will find on Craig's list but they deliver the volume you ask for, the wood is dry, clean, no bugs and uniformly cut every time. You can't ask for much more than that. read more

I hired these guys to do a bunch of tree thinning , trimming, removal and stump grinding. I could not be happier. They showed up when they said they would, were extremely professional and made sure I was satisfied with everything thing they completed. Not only was I satisfied, I was impressed with the entire crews work ethic and the respect they showed my yard and the neighbors yard. I would not hesitate to hire them again and I will. Thank you P'N D" you guys are fantastic. Please feel free to use me as a reference. Jeff L. Federal Way. read more

The good news is that they delivered my firewood the next day and the price was great. The phone staff including driver were very professional. The bad news is the wood they delivered was a mess. I had ordered was 14"-16" fir/maple mix. What I got was some 22", 20" pieces as well some huge rounds which I will have chainsaw and split myself to fit into my fireplace. My usual supplier was out of dry wood mid September so I tried P and D. Disappointed because I have used them before for tree removal and was very happy with their work. read more

We've had 2 separate experiences with this team. Stump grinding and now a tree cutting/grinding. They do a great job grinding stumps down and made a point to protect surrounding plants. Quick response to get a quote and reasonable time frame to get the work done. Would definitely recommend. read more

After my 3 star Yelp review, the owner came back and made the crew come back to fix it! It's all good and beautiful again! Back to 5 stars! They were very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you Chris! read more

They were on time to provide the estimate and ended up being the lowest quote. I ended up choosing them because they explained they send a whole team and could get the job done in an hour which would be less disruptive for my neighbors. They actually finished in about 45 minutes and did a great job. Highly recommend. read more

Called several companies to quote us on having a tree limbed that was up against our new home and overhanging our chimney. Needed a gigantic cedar tree removed from our yard. We contacted many companies. One place gave us a cheap estimate then disappeared. Few places never seriously engaged with us. Couple places quoted astronomical prices. Some places complained about the difficulty of bringing up the stump grinder. I went with P and D. So glad we did! Their price was not the lowest, but certainly very fair. I'm incredibly impressed by their communication and customer service leading up to the job day. Cassy was great. They're very responsive, always available. You don't get that with most tree places. On the day of, an army of long trailer, truck with crane, couple other trucks came. Huge crew. Did not realize the magnitude of this job. The crane is unbelievable. Plucked one huge branch after another. The crane literally hoisted the stump grinder up to the yard. Talk about efficiency. Even after this, the yard was mostly unscathed. Wood chips everywhere in the lawn, but I expected that the yard would be roughed up. Not at all. It's because they took a lot of care in their work. They put cones over our lamps. They skillfully avoided power lines. This is the best tree company I've dealt with. I will call them first for any tree removal. read more

The crew sent to my house was professional, fast, and efficient at removing five trees from a tight area and pruning large hedges in my backyard. Chris JR who provided the estimate was pleasant, knowledgeable, and was able to quickly provide a quote on the spot. Kathy who was the telephone contact was also professional and pleasant to talk with. I was very impressed with P&D Tree Service and will use them again in the future. read more

P&D recently removed 4 large Fir trees from our home in Sammamish. These were the 100-200 foot variety and while they were all dead, they were a LOT of work. Out of the 4 or 5 quotes I researched, P&D was by far the best price. We paid about $2300 for the trees with tax and that included clearing about 20 branches away from above the home. Chris was a very friendly foreman and his crew did a fantastic job. I'd definitely call them again and highly recommend them (in fact I already have!). read more

On time; thorough job; great cleanup. This is the second time I've used them and I would recommend them to anyone. Just terrific!

I called this company for an estimate for 1 tall fir tree in my front yard in Lynnwood, WA mainly due to the Yelp reviews saying they charged a fair price or the one that really got me to call was the one that said we called 5 companies and P'n'D was the lowest. Their bid WAS THE HIGHEST! $3,500 to take down the tree, $300 to grind the stump and $250 to haul away the wood plus 10.4% tax which puts the bill at roughly $4,400 for one tree! I called 4 others and all were licensed companies and got bids of $900, $1200 and $1500 TOTAL including cutting the wood into 16 inch rounds and my choice of leaving it there or having them haul away. Nobody was charging me to haul except this company They were about 3 1/2 times the price of others. I am still shocked at their estimate! read more

Do not by firewood from this company unless you want to wait a year or two to burn it!

P'n'D Logging came out with a crew of 6 and couple dump trucks. They took down a 35-foot northern Spruce and prune a Magnolia. They are pretty professional, knew what they are doing and make quick work within an hour. They also helped us prune back a few branches on one of the trees. The only thing that could have been even better is if they had stacked the rounds. Overall, I am fairly happy with the service and cost was reasonable. read more

We were in the need of a quick tree removal. P N D met our needs. Called and requested a quote on a Friday. They gave us roughly a week for tree removal date. On Monday we received a phone call, PND stated they completed their appointment and could be out to remove our tree in 2 hrs. They were on time an our 30 year old Cypress tree was removed and hauled away in 40 minutes. 9 crew members arrived with a crane and trailer all was cleaned up around the tree removal. Hire this company you won't be disappointed. Thank you P N D. read more

My Wife and I had 5 Quotes from several different Tress Services here in King County, for those of you that live in the Unincorporated King County you know how impossible it is to book such a service with anyone let alone have them actually show up for a quote. P'n'D was by far the most professional when booking and their quote ended up being by far the least expensive. I was absolutely impressed with the crew that showed up, along with their equipment. I was shocked that they literally finished the job and clean-up in well under 2 hours. They did EXACTLY what I wanted and the price never changed. I have already shared their contact information with several neighbors and highly recommend their services, I will call them when its time because trees will always grow!! read more

We had two 50 ish foot trees to come down. From the time we scheduled a quote with Chris, things moved quickly and they were great to communicate when servicing would happen. Really really impressed with this group! We had a large Corkscrew Willow to remove and another that needed a lot of pruning. Chris was very professional with the estimates. The crew arrived on time, Nick was friendly and easy to talk to. They wasted no time getting set up. Watching them was fascinating; it was almost like a dance, everything was coordinated, there were no surprises. We were very appreciative they also provided clean up - and did a great job! We will most definitely call them again for more tree services. (With 2 more giant Corkscrew Willows planted on fence lines, we will have to eventually!) read more

Weren't the cheapest or most expensive. I just felt confident with their assessment of the job and cost. 2 trees. 80 ft Cedar & 105 ft spruce\fir topped at 20 ft with 4 huge shoots. Showed up 10 minutes early, underway on time. Huge amount of wood. Had excellent gear & the right amount of personnel. IOW, Pros. Finished when he said he would but still surprised me. Careful of surrounding things like the neighbor's fence. The kind of company you want to hire for this kind of job. read more

We had a great experience with this company. We had 11 very large Fur trees removed. Seven of them had to be craned over our house. We also has all the stumps grinded. They came in with a crane, two chipper trucks, a bucket truck and a crew. In about half a day and two logging truck loads we were clear. They cleaned up well after and included our neighbors driveways and cul-de-sac. The wife and I were very impressed and the price was reasonable. We have referred them on a couple occasions now. read more

Had 7 trees removed to open up my back yard to sunshine. I had two dangerously huge fir trees in my backyard that needed removal, so I called 3 different companies for bids. Two of the companies required the removal of a section of fence and a carport. P&D gave a competitive bid and removed the trees and branches with their crane system. The whole job including stump grinding took only 3 hours! read more

My wife called P & D after I had just turned away some "seasoned" wood from a firewood supplier found on Craigslist. The guy showed up three hours late with a pickup load of wood that he promised was seasoned then later acknowledged had been sitting out all winter, so of course it was waterlogged. He said, "this isn't California, all firewood this time of year has been sitting out all winter." Apparently referring to the fact I was wearing my Anaheim Angels baseball cap. That's what the flakes do, they show up at your home and immediately start unloading the wood, so you feel like you're forced to take the wood. My suggestion: Quit dealing with the flakes that promise one thing and deliver another and buy your firewood from P & D. These guys are wood professionals. Your wood will show up as promised and ready to burn. We've purchased 2 cords of hardwood and 1 cord of fir. The hardwood had a mix of walnut, oak, maple and some other cool hardwoods that you never find advertised any where else. Aaron did a great job backing up the trailer and putting the wood exactly where I needed it. The second the wood hit the driveway, you could tell by the high pitched noise that the wood was nice and dry. Great job Chris!! read more

I had 7 trees removed & another 2 trimmed & pruned by this firm today. I had gotten at least 4 other quotes and for the job specs, this company came in with the best deal. Having just moved to the PNW 7 months ago from sunny SCA, tree maintenance is a whole new issue for me to deal with. They came to give a quote when it was convenient & once I authorized the work, it was just a few days before they were working in the area and were able to fit my project in. They did exactly the job agreed upon & cleaned up & hauled the trees & related debris away as if they had never been there and did it in what seemed like record of about 3 hours, start to finish!! I am very happy with the work completed; would use again and recommend. In fact, I have already given their info to a co-worker needing some tree work done. read more

Amazing! Thank you PnD for doing such a professional and extremely efficient job in taking down our tree. It was a difficult operation being that it was a 90' tree, next to a retaining wall, down a hill and next to the water! Totally impressive! Oh! And it was snowing. read more

Anyone looking to do a major tree removal service in the Northwest, please do yourself a favor and just call P&D service. I had 15 poplar trees roughly 200 ft hight and a giant pine tree leaning over my house. I took many quotes and P&D came up with the most compelling offer - not necessarily the cheapest but the most compelling offer. They came on time for the estimate, called me the day before to confirm the appointment and a professional crew of about 10 people showed up on the day of the job. Rest of the offers were going to take multiple days and P&D finished the entire job in a single day. Very happy that I don't have to manage my kids away from the job site over multiple days. All in all, if I ever have a tree job, P&D is getting it. read more
