The good news is that they delivered my firewood the next day and the price was great. The phone staff including driver were very professional. The bad news is the wood they delivered was a mess. I had ordered was 14"-16" fir/maple mix. What I got was some 22", 20" pieces as well some huge rounds which I will have chainsaw and split myself to fit into my fireplace. My usual supplier was out of dry wood mid September so I tried P and D. Disappointed because I have used them before for tree removal and was very happy with their work. read more

Needed a gigantic cedar tree removed from our yard. We contacted many companies. One place gave us a cheap estimate then disappeared. Few places never seriously engaged with us. Couple places quoted astronomical prices. Some places complained about the difficulty of bringing up the stump grinder. I went with P and D. So glad we did! Their price was not the lowest, but certainly very fair. I'm incredibly impressed by their communication and customer service leading up to the job day. Cassy was great. They're very responsive, always available. You don't get that with most tree places. On the day of, an army of long trailer, truck with crane, couple other trucks came. Huge crew. Did not realize the magnitude of this job. The crane is unbelievable. Plucked one huge branch after another. The crane literally hoisted the stump grinder up to the yard. Talk about efficiency. Even after this, the yard was mostly unscathed. Wood chips everywhere in the lawn, but I expected that the yard would be roughed up. Not at all. It's because they took a lot of care in their work. P&D recently removed 4 large Fir trees from our home in Sammamish. These were the 100-200 foot variety and while they were all dead, they were a LOT of work. Out of the 4 or 5 quotes I researched, P&D was by far the best price. We paid about $2300 for the trees with tax and that included clearing about 20 branches away from above the home. I called this company for an estimate for 1 tall fir tree in my front yard in Lynnwood, WA mainly due to the Yelp reviews saying they charged a fair price or the one that really got me to call was the one that said we called 5 companies and P'n'D was the lowest. Their bid WAS THE HIGHEST! $3,500 to take down the tree, $300 to grind the stump and $250 to haul away the wood plus 10.4% tax which puts the bill at roughly $4,400 for one tree! I called 4 others and all were licensed companies and got bids of $900, $1200 and $1500 TOTAL including cutting the wood into 16 inch rounds and my choice of leaving it there or having them haul away. Nobody was charging me to haul except this company They were about 3 1/2 times the price of others. I am still shocked at their estimate! read more

P'n'D Logging came out with a crew of 6 and couple dump trucks. They took down a 35-foot northern Spruce and prune a Magnolia. They are pretty professional, knew what they are doing and make quick work within an hour. They also helped us prune back a few branches on one of the trees. The only thing that could have been even better is if they had stacked the rounds. Overall, I am fairly happy with the service and cost was reasonable. read more

We had a great experience with this company. We had 11 very large Fur trees removed. Seven of them had to be craned over our house. We also has all the stumps grinded. They came in with a crane, two chipper trucks, a bucket truck and a crew. In about half a day and two logging truck loads we were clear. They cleaned up well after and included our neighbors driveways and cul-de-sac. The wife and I were very impressed and the price was reasonable. My wife called P & D after I had just turned away some "seasoned" wood from a firewood supplier found on Craigslist. The guy showed up three hours late with a pickup load of wood that he promised was seasoned then later acknowledged had been sitting out all winter, so of course it was waterlogged. He said, "this isn't California, all firewood this time of year has been sitting out all winter." Apparently referring to the fact I was wearing my Anaheim Angels baseball cap. That's what the flakes do, they show up at your home and immediately start unloading the wood, so you feel like you're forced to take the wood. My suggestion: Quit dealing with the flakes that promise one thing and deliver another and buy your firewood from P & D. These guys are wood professionals. Your wood will show up as promised and ready to burn. We've purchased 2 cords of hardwood and 1 cord of fir. The hardwood had a mix of walnut, oak, maple and some other cool hardwoods that you never find advertised any where else. Aaron did a great job backing up the trailer and putting the wood exactly where I needed it. The second the wood hit the driveway, you could tell by the high pitched noise that the wood was nice and dry. Great job Chris!! read more

I do not recommend using this company...the owner kept me in the dark about how many loads went out of my place and after knowing what i wanted for my timber for myself continued the falling of all my trees leaving a mess and shorting me about $10000. Im not happy with his way of conducting business..he should gave kept me informed about every liad and where they were going .
