Needed minimal service but it took awhile. The place has been remodeled. There is no longer a drink vending machine and the coffee is gone. But worse is they removed the water fountain! So went in for an oil change. Last time I went there for a synthetic, it cost me $60 including a tire rotation, this time it costs $71 without tire rotation. The guy says the price went up. Ok fine. Then I was told I need to change my cabin air filter, which I know for a fact is a lie. My cabin air filter at the time of this visit is brand new installed the day before. So they are telling me that my 1-day old cabin air filter is dirty after one day use and I need to change it. Sounds shady to me. Then they suggest tire rotation and the cabin air filter. The rotation is $21.48 and the cabin air filter is $56.99. Almost all places tire rotation is included or at most $10. Not sure where the $21.48 is from. I definitely don't know how replacing a cabin air filter with their stock cabin filter is $56.99. I literally replaced my cabin air filter and my engine air filter in less than 5mins. Of course I declined the service, but the prices just don't make sense. Another issue I had is the PSI of the tire. Since I'm leaving it at the shop for later in the day, I asked to put my resting tire PSI at 32 as suggested my the car's handbook. When I picked it up it was at 37psi. That 5psi above the car's handbook for resting PSI. Did they do good work? Can't say yes or no. Based on the tire PSI, the tech that did the work probably didn't read the work order because in the work order it says 32PSI. So would I go back. Maybe if there is a sale going on, but not at these prices. read more

I would give zero stars and a middle finger if I could They tried to charge me almost $2000 for what should be a $150 fix. I came in to get a wheel alignment for my wife's Prius. I waited there for 2 1/2 hours in the scorching heat just for them to tell me that they could not do anything for my car without charging me $2000, they didn't even want to adjust the wheels to make it safer on the road. They told me it would break down if I tried to drive it, which isn't true I've had this problem with the car wheels for months. Trying to get me to pay. they came up with seven or eight different things to try and up charge me, and I know cars very well. My wife's car is fine, it just needs a wheel alignment. They refuse to do anything unless I purchased all the repairs telling me it was "pointless" to do ab alignment without all the extra. Not to mention the fact that I PAID THEM extra for a vehicle inspection, and they only inspected the tires. I called back to see if they found anything in the engine and I was told that they do not do inspections on the engine. What kind of car doesn't do inspections on the engine? This afternoon I brought my Hyundai Sonata to Firestone to replace a tire that was no longer road worthy or safe. I was welcomed by Angel and then Nicole at the front desk and helped immediately. Since I did not have an appointment today they let me know that it could take a while before they get to me since they had a full lobby and lots of appointments lined up. This was fine and I appreciated the heads Since time is very valuable. Before taking my keys Angel went through my options of tire brands, prices, warranties, etc. and helped my pick the best tire for my financial situation, he then offered me a water and assured me that they would get to my vehicle when they got the chance. In less then 1 hour my vehicle was parked outside and waiting for me, The 5-6 other customers waiting in the lobby with me had all been helped and it was my turn to pay and head home. Both Angel and Nicole were really great to work with and I appreciate them fitting me in their tight schedule and their Techs for workings tirelessly in the garages with this hot whether. Long story but it starts with a broken printer. That obviously threw Jim for a loop he had a hard time recovering from. I needed struts for my 1996 Infiniti and went here bright and early on a Saturday. I was the second customer and you could feel the stress over the broken printer right away. Then he couldn't find the parts in his system so he needed to talk to his parts guy who didn't open for forty minutes or so. We left the car and went away and awaited his call. The call came just after 8 and wow the struts were over $225 a piece. Now I had called other places and they were like $150 each. I had hoped to go here because it had come recommend. When he called with the price that was it for me. I went to retrieve my car and asked some questions. Why so expensive? Are you quoting Infiniti parts? Jim gets back on his computer and click click he comes down over $200. I'm in sales so I can see some price room but $200 on a $650 repair? I've had my car worked on there many times. Of course when I first went there Oscar was the manager he was a really great guy. I miss his fresh approach to everything I asked him. They worked on my car and if they made a mistake and they were the first to admit it, very rare practice these days. People are not stupid that's quality customer services. They gain way more than they lose. All the guys there are really sweet. I live nearby so I stop by and drop them off some goodies even when I don't need them to work on my car. They have not only repaired it they replace stuff that was just wearing out. I had them replace my steering wheel because it had a tear in the leather. I had them replaced my master control. They are very good about pricing even when I bring in my own part. Jason is the new manager there now. He seems to be fitting in and I will have to get to know him. This place used to be my go to place when Luis was the manager. The new store manager Nicole, is passive aggressive and abrasive, especially on the phone. Took my car there several times to get a very loud clunking noises fixed and they always said nothing was wrong with it, recently had to get a part fixed which they originally replaced and was under warranty, I was told to drop it off the day after calling and when I did, I was told they would not be able to take care of this service today by the manager Nicole and would have to wait a week, no accommodation or apology for their mistakes in scheduling. The communication isn't great. Once I did get the car in, no one ever called to tell me the car was fixed, I go in to pick it up and I was expected to pay FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. These guys are great. To be fair, I only use their basic services, but I have a jeep with oversize 35 inch tires. And a lift. They're one of the few shops in the valley that will do an alignment with an unlimited package. I go there almost weekly to get my alignment done without any issues. I was annoyed that in 5 hours I didn't get a call for update and had to wait until the next day to get my car. Upon receiving my car the next day, it was ready when I got there. I've been going to this Firestone for over 2 years and I will not be giving them any more business. This location has a history of poor customer service, and this last occurrence was my last straw (a week prior to this I bought a full set of tires from them....) I took my car in last week to get a ball joint fixed & a couple days later they called me back giving me a quote of what it would cost to get fixed. They suggested I should replace the other ball joint, and I told them to only replace the one damaged side at the price they gave me. A couple of days go by without hearing from them and they called me saying my car is all done. When I arrived to pickup my car they told me they misquoted me and it's more expensive then what they had originally said. I never received a call explaining the misquote until I was there to pick up my car.... They said the price was wrong because they had ordered the wrong part and had to order another part to completely fix it. Somehow I'm responsible for their mistake.... After going back and forth with them trying to figure out why I wasn't notified about the price change/misordered part, they refused to honor the original quote they gave me and said the new price is what I have to pay. They didn't apologize or even seem to care at all. Do not use this Firestone if you expect professionalism or quality customer service !! read more

The day before we were supposed to leave on vacation, my car wouldn't start. So we jumped it and took it to AutoZone, where we had bought our battery, and were told the battery, starter and alternator were all reading good status. I was told by the parts manager to call my mechanic and have them take a closer look. It being Friday, my mechanic was booked and I asked him for a referral and he said there was no one he'd recommend. I asked the parts manager if there was any mechanic he'd recommend and he said Firestone at 7th St. and Union Hills. So I drove there and the kind office manager said he was also booked full and down a mechanic so he couldn't help, but that he'd recommend the Cactus and Cave Creek Firestone as he had worked there in the past and could vouch for the mechanics. I was put on hold for a while and was so concerned I was going to be told they couldn't help me, but when Nicole answered the phone she was patient, kind, empathetic and told me they could help me the same day! That was exactly what I wanted and needed to hear since it was less than 24 hours to our roadtrip. She said they'd need to charge a $31.99 fee to check the battery/starter/alternator and if they couldn't find anything, then there'd be a $104 diagnostic charge. Even though I think that's ridiculous and should be a part of any repair charge or waived if the work is completed, I was between a rock and a hard place, so I asked her to figure out what was going on. Several hours later, I got a call that my battery was bad and my starter could also be going but they wouldn't know that until the battery was in good condition. Since my battery was under warranty with AutoZone, Nicole had the mechanic remove my battery so I could take it to across the street to get a new one. Angel came out and put my battery in my car. AutoZone, once again, said my battery was good! They almost didn't warranty it out but I told them that Firestone had a reading that the battery was bad. After a frustrating conversation, the AutoZone associate gave me my new battery. I took the new battery back across the street, Angel got it out of my car for me, and Voila' my car started right up - there was no problem with the starter or alternator readings now too! THANK YOU to Nicole, Angel and the mechanic who got us on the road in time for our vacation! You saved the day and I am very grateful! You earned my future business!! read more

I had to search online for discounts and he wasn't at all trying to watch my bottom line ( http://m.fcacmobile.com/offers/ good through end of August). If you need a tire rotation, summer $9.99 includes tire rotation. When I presented and asked about multiple applicable discounts he was disappointed to meet an educated customer. A Spanish speaking customer came in and Donald proceeded to speak very loudly at her and her husband, they were in their late 30's and spoke English fine, but according to Donald having an accent means you're hard of hearing. At one point, a worker made a mistake by letting him know a vehicle needed work AFTER they wrapped the ticket. I would have understood his plight because it is a for profit business, but Donald's explanation wasn't to inform the customer, but "you can't make money after the vehicle is gone". His approach was demeaning and unnecessary. Won't be back to this location due to slow (I was 1of 2 customers) and not focused on customers. Donald explained I needed new rear brakes at the tune of $586 in addition to the work I already completed (oil change, fuel system cleaning, tire rotation, air filter change) . However, due to 2 flats since moving to Phoenix a few weeks ago, hearing and reading about them, a future alignment and typical balance/rotate, and overall excellent customer service I will recommend them to anyone that is in need. They have a great deal on alignments going on which is the one thing I can't find a good mechanic for due to equipment evidently. Dealerships will charge you one time for the price of Firestone's lifetime fee on alignments.
