Updated my 1-star review to a 3-star because ultimately they did the right thing and refunded me the cost of the vehicle inspection. Of course, they did not admit any wrongdoing and refunded me on the premise of "customer satisfaction" (which for legal reasons, I understand). All nice people but their poor vehicle inspection cost me thousands in repairs that were completely missed (so I overpaid for the car I bought). Their arguments were the seller may have cleaned-up the vehicle before the inspection to hide issues and that over 1,000 miles were driven between their inspection and the subsequent car inspection/repairs that occurred 2 months later. The allegation of seller clean-up is possible but not a proven fact in this case; it certainly wasn't pointed out during the inspection. The mileage argument is fair but collectively, neither of these assertions, even IF all true, is not a complete answer. Issues with the vehicle that take years to build up should have been pointed out during the inspection and were completely overlooked; including a bad steering gear box, cracked bushings, cracked right and left lower control arms, loose sway bar worn beyond repair, blown out front shocks, severely unevenly worn tires, which all cost over $5K to replace. I feel those were pretty obvious issues that a qualified auto technician would have easily caught and noted on the inspection report. Based on my experience, my suggestion for people interested in getting a vehicle inspection is you may be better off paying twice the price somewhere else and avoid Half Price Auto. Just went to get a diagnostic after I told them my check engine light was flashing which is a misfire he then tells me 20 minutes later that they have to take off the manifold to see the misfire? That didn't sound right and they wanted charge $600 to see the problem just to juice the price up,another customer cancelled also because they didn't do a proper diagnostic just a scanner what they use at auto zone, better off going to the dealer read more

Professional and courtesy service by Chad... I came in last Sat 2/24 for a $139 differential fluid exchange on my 2006 Ford F150. They did a through free physical inspection of the vehicle and alerted me of my front brake pads hitting the 4mm limit. There is no compromise on safety but I was tight on budget. Had my Red 2000 Honda CRV done for a timing belt job (w water pump), With my own replacement parts. The first time it came out the shop the belts squeaked as if the belts were loose. I relayed my problems back to the shop. The service adviser (Chad or one of them) tried to explain to me how they squeaky belts were not from the half ass timing belt job they had just finished. I made them fix it. It is now a week and half after getting the belts inspected and the water pump is leaking again. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! If you value your time and money, save yourself a lot of both. I brought my Vehicle here for a motor mount. I was told it would be done the next day and that I needed a head gasket and oil pan gasket as well. Okay no problem. Long story short it wasn't done the next day. My vehicle was at this shop for over a week because they broke a fuel injector and didn't tell me. The best part is one of these clowns melted a hole in my battery with a soldering iron and proceeded to cover it up with electrical tape. I noticed the hole today and called this morning. No apology or anything just being told "It was probably already there. We don't use electrical tape." I tried to let you make it right but y'all didn't want to. Accidents happen but at the least you could have the intestinal fortitude to own up to it. read more

I left my Jeep thier to be repaired ...after about 2 weeks I had to leave town. I Chose Not to leave my Jeep sitting their for 16 days...I had fully planned to Tow it back to have it finished. I would rather have it home safe in my Garage. The owner and staff at Certified Auto are great. I have been using them for months now to have my oil change done. Being a Lyft driver I have had to do this more frequently then normal. I went in on a Saturday without an appointment and even tho they were very busy I was able to get my oil change done. Due to being a regular customer. Went in for a oil change from Groupon and discovered my serpentine belt was shredding and my air filter and cabin filter needed replacement. First they offered a lower rate for the serpentine belt to help when I was reluctant to spend anymore money, and after that they hooked it up with the air filters. 10/10 would recommend! read more

My car had a parasitic power drain. Basically, when I turned my car off, something was staying live and draining my battery. I shopped around for quotes on a diagnostic/repair and C3 Certified Auto Repair gave me a quote of $120 for the diagnostic, which would also be applied towards the costs of any necessary repairs. I decided to take them up on their offer and the shop was able to diagnose the problem and repair it. It's been about a week and so far everything is holding up great.
