I have used Bell Auto several times for routine service and repair. I have several classic vehicles that I have had repaired there. Andre, in addition to modern tech work, can also do old school repairs on classics and hot rods. A lot of shops will not touch these types of vehicles. will definitely return in the future.

As a female, I know how I have been scammed by mechanics. So I found true value in Christian Brothers Automotive-Peoria, Lake Pleasant Pkwy! I found this establishment via word of mouth from all the way in Michigan. Their reputation precedes itself. They are honest, knowledgeable, fair and they provide quality service. Tom, and the entire staff served with a smile. Overall, I would highly recommend this Christian Brother Automotive to anyone. We'll stick with them!

Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

When I pulled up to Take 5 I accessed the coupon on my phone and followed the instructions to enter my email address for marketing purposes. When I entered my email the coupon closed and I couldn't access it any longer. I went online and found a $ 7.oo dollar off coupon to use. I pulled up to one of the 2 entries to empty bays while the third bay was occupied. I was greeted after a couple of minutes by a young man who explained that it would be just a few minutes and they would be with me. Eventually I was directed to pull my vehicle into the service bay and again told that it would be a few minutes while they finished up the 1 customer they had When I arrived. Finally someone came to explain the services to me and take my information. In my photos I included the price offerings for oil change services which I had questions about. I was told that for the less expensive synthetic oil change options they used a rebrand oil under their brand but it was Castor oil which is considered a mid- top quality oil. The highest price oil change option is Mobil One synthetic, which should tell you how much better Mobil One oil is considered to be. I settled for the full synthetic change ( $ 84.99 ) with the rebranded synthetic oil. They checked my air filter and other essential fluids and everything was good because I check them myself regularly. My oil change was done and it was time to check out. I brought up the problem with the 25 % coupon disappearing after I entered my email and the attendant indicated that the marketing people were aware of the problem and were working on it. He didn't offer to honor the better coupon but did accept my smaller coupon. From the time I pulled up to the time I pulled out was more like 15 to 20 minutes. There were 2 attendants and both were very personable. The prices are high and if you search online you can find local oil change specials at a better price. The service was good and I was treated like a valued customer. I can't justify them not honoring the 25 % off coupon which was the motivation for me trying Take 5 in the first place. I feel that if they are aware of the problem they should honor the coupon the customer tried to use. I will stick to finding local oil change specials as I have in the past and Take 5 won't get my or my families business going forward.

Gave me a competitive quote, kept me informed, and repairs were completed as planned. Unfortunately, my second repair experience wasn't like the first one. Quote that I had received from Greg, my service advisor, was just a few hundred under the dealership's quote, I learned later. Parts' price was double the market price, and the repair experience was just bizarre. Dropped off my car at my 10am appointment and received a call at 2:30pm that shop had left the key inside the car and was locked out, needed a second key. I managed to get there with the second key at 4:45pm and it was too late to even perform a diagnosis. Took the car back next business day as planned. Didn't hear anything till 5pm on how repairs had progressed. Called the shop and Greg had already left. After holding for about 15 minutes, I was told that repairs were done but car needed to be tested. It was too late to catch the shuttle or an Uber ride to pick up the car; had to go there next day to pickup the car. Repairs were done and the car is driving fine. Thanks to Shawna who stepped in and informed me of the status of repair and coordinated the pickup. I still hope that this was just an odd repair experience and should have not happened like this. Hopefully, others would have an experience like my first one and don't have to take star off their shop's review as I had to.

I understand that automotive work can sometimes take longer than expected, but after an hour and a half I had to ask for an update because no one had communicated the delay. I noticed on the front desk computer that I was entered into the system as a drop-off, even though I was waiting for my vehicle. I always wait during appointments, and if that impacts how service is prioritized, it should have been confirmed when scheduling. I also noticed there appeared to be either a misunderstanding or scheduling issue with another customer who had an appointment after mine, which raised concerns about how appointments were being managed. When I asked for an update on the timing, the response I received felt dismissive. The employee responded that "nothing is ever a half an hour, not here, not any shop." I understand that estimates can change and that inspections may take longer than expected, but my concern was not that it took longer--it was that I was given an estimate, waited significantly beyond that timeframe, and had to ask for an update myself. The employee told me he would check on the timing and get back to me, but I did not receive an update afterward. Instead, he returned to the office and continued working with vehicles. Another employee also said he would check on the status and where the first employee was at, but I did not receive an update from him either. A simple update or revised timeframe would have gone a long way. The inspection, which was quoted at approximately 30 minutes over the phone, ultimately took about two hours and cost around $100. The findings included recommended back strut replacement, brake fluid service, and a battery replacement, with an estimated total of around $1,760. They also identified a bent rim, but I did not appear to receive a quote for that item despite requesting one. I have no doubt that their technicians have the knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles, and that expertise has value. However, expertise does not replace the need for clear communication and respect for a customer's time. I was hoping for a shop that values the customer's time as much as their own. Given this experience, along with pricing that appears to be higher than other shops I have compared in the area, I am uncertain whether I will return for future service. I hope the shop improves its scheduling process and communication with customers when delays occur. ******* Edit in response to their Google review commentary: It's worthwhile to note the company response below essentially argues pricing (which was never contested as explained in my above review). The pricing was provided for other individual's knowledge of business pricing and a stated reason for hesitation in repeated business. There was no argument to the state of the car either-- it's at a shop as it needs repair. I went to one other business, not multiple as was stated in person and over the phone-- indicating a lack of clarity again with notation on client accounts more publicly-- and and was quoted half an hour of my time with no updated timeline despite two requests to one staff member as well as the owner, Jesse, who just walked away. The Argumentative and dismissive responses on the stated concerns in the severe lack of timing and communication are what have just ensured I do not return to this establishment and suggest others take a closer look at what shop they choose for the work on their vehicles.
