First, I would like to give Mazvo 10 stars. Shahe is amazingly helpful and kind and most of all honest. I am an older single woman who often gets ignored or intimidated by dealers and mechanics. This would never happen with Shahe. What a pleasure to find a shop that wants to help you, that wants to educate you, and would prefer to give a fair, honest and maybe even lower price to give you the best service possible. I had an issue with emissions and Shahe took the time to tell me how to remedy this situation myself and then come in for a free test to make sure it was correct. Wow. I explained that I was not comfortable and asked if the shop would do the service for me. Shahe was understanding and fit me in, did the service, did the test and charged me very little for the time and work. When I went in to pick up my car we talked a bit and he answered questions for me with kindness and never making me feel like I was taking up his time. That is really remarkable! I passed my emission test the next day and emailed him to let him know and he answered me back that he was so happy to have been able to help me. Omg! I'm so glad I found this! Little back story. Took my car to Firestone for an alignment. They recommended a change of spark plugs and a fuel system cleaning. I can do basic maintenance on my cars and have changed the spark plugs before, but when they quoted me $300 for that, I knew they were total BS! The fuel system cleaning did intrigue me and brought me to reddit where I found a recommendation to this shop. Thank you for sharing this awesome mechanic! I called and they were very informative on what I should do and the horrible practices of a franchise like Firestone. Our car story begins before we met Shawn at MAZVO in Phoenix. Our car problems forced us to seek professional help and we began at Kelly's auto service. They gave our car a full inspection for $60 and the report consisted of 13 total items, 8 were required and the total amount was $4,986. Feeling quite overwhelmed with our financial situation we hoped to find another way for our car solution. The first thing we did was check the price of specific parts for the car online and found that we could get all of the parts for 50% to 90% of a discounted price than what the shop was going to charge us. Feeling overwhelmed we searched for a second opinion and was recommended to MAZVO in Phoenix. Within minutes we were talking with Shawn and he requested we send him the report and he would get back to us within moments. My first thought was that he would take all of Kelley auto prices, knock a few dollars off, and offered to charge us slightly less for the same work. After getting the service done through MAZVO I can confirm that I was wrong and they are much better and more professional than I ever could imagine. Shawn reviewed the report and offered to examine the car in person at his shop to verify that the report and the results were consistent for no charge $0. After his physical inspection, he was understanding of our financial situation and he broke down a list of three repairs he recommended in proprietary order from most important to least important. After explaining to us his professional opinion, we decided to have the most important item resolved at his shop the same day which consisted of replacing two belts under the hood that were torn and nearly broken before the repair. The final price that we paid after taxes to MAZVO was close to half the price 50% than what Kelly auto would have charged and I am 100% satisfied with the work done. We are going to save money for the second and third recommended repair and have them done at Shawn's shop, MAZVO as soon as possible. 5/5 stars, thank you. read more

Here is a prime example of their superb customer service - I called at 8am and explained that my car was making a strange noise and that I needed to get it looked at ASAP. I also shared that I would need transportation to get to work. They had everything arranged for me when I arrived 15 minutes later. I was able to drop off my car, hop in a rental car (and it was a very nice toyota too!), and got an update 4 hours later with the diagnosis for my car. And 2 days later I was back in my car again! My husband has been taking his Jeep to Mazvo for a few years now. He always raves about them. A dealership service center recommended I have brakes redone and filters replaced on my Toyota. We declined the dealer prices and dropped the car off with Mazvo. Shawn called me with the news that the dealer wasn't being completely truthful with their assessment of my brakes. He gave me the honest answer that less work was needed. We agreed to the work and saved money only getting the necessary brake work completed and no air filters replaced. I brought my Ford F150 pickup here because a spark plug blew out. Before even looking at the truck, I was warned he was 90% sure nothing could be done. Sure enough $75.00 later, he said he could not do it. We would have to take the engine apart and truck was not worth it. He said I should advertise it on Craigslist as a "mechanics special". So, I trusted him and did that. Amazingly a friend of his was the first to call and offer to buy the truck. I told him to meet me there at a certain time and fortunately, the guy did not show. I brought the truck to a different mechanic and either the guy was just more knowledgeable than Mazvo or more honest (or both) but he fixed the truck in 2 hours. I have been driving it for a few months now with no issues. So glad I did not sell it to Mazvo's craigslist friend! I have no idea of Mazvo's motivation on this but I personally will not waste money there again. read more

I took my vehicle in, Volkswagen, to be diagnosed and repaired for a check engine light. When I arrived to Mazvo, I spoke to the owner, and I let him know that I had run a check engine light diagnostic and had a turbo underboost code. He said he would run his own diagnostic and I agreed. I left the vehicle a few hours and received a call from the owner stating that there were 4 codes and that the vehicle needed a vacuum pump and vent valve. I was quoted $1250 which did not seem right to me. I told the owner that I would come in to talk to him in person. Once I told him I had experience working on vehicles and was mechanically experienced, he changed his story and said that it was not necessarily needed to change all the parts he quoted, hmmm. At that point I was skeptical and paid the $65 diagnostic fee and drove off. I took it back home and checked the codes and it was still the turbo underboost code, Mazvo had said it was 4 codes and this was not true. Furthermore, the diagnostic sheets did not have any code info on it, it just had the price $1250 and said parts and labor. I diagnosed it at home thereafter and it was the diverter valve, a $100 piece. Thus, I was being quoted $1250 for a $100 part and maybe 1 hour of labor. I would advise to be cautious, ask questions. The shop was trying to get one on me and I find this very concerning! read more
