This place absolutely sucks. Wait times are long, service is rude and crappy, the upsell is ridiculous

I have been taking my car to firestone for the past 25 years with great results. Unfortunately, the Cave Creek location has made some drastic changes with very bad results. My problem was as simple as low oil. I have just recently purchased a CVT car . I have very little knowledge of this type of engine. Plus the dipstick is very hard to get and accurate reading on. So I took it to professionals , so I thought. They said they couldn't diagnose the problem of the noise. And even though they have done all the oil changes on my car, this is not something they looked at. It is very sad, but I will never go back. Another mechanic had it fixed and back on the road in less than 30 mins. I have had a long history with you Firestone, but this is the end. read more

We've been buying tires for both of our cars at Firestone for a few years now. I had one questionable experience earlier which I won't touch on but the result was purchasing four new tires. Recently, on our other car, I started to notice a slow leak on one of the tires, so I swung by with no appointment to see if I could get it repaired. I was told it would be an hour, which I didn't have the time for that day. No problem, I made an appointment for a repair later that week. I work from home, so I made sure to give myself ample time to have the repair done. I dropped it off a few minutes early, talked to the clerk briefly, then walked to lunch. I came back an hour later and my car was still untouched. I asked about it, and they assured me that my car was up next. A little annoyed, but still had plenty of time. After about 30 minutes my car was in the garage. 30 minutes later....nothing. Most of the time I was the only one in the waiting area, but at this point the clerk was helping someone else, and now I was running out of time (I had a customer meeting that I could not be late for). When he was finally done I asked about my car, and the response was something along the lines of, 'Oh yeah. You have two nails 4 inches apart so the tire is not repairable.' I immediately asked for my car back and left, not having time to deal with it at this point. Not enamored by the prospect of buying another four tires (or a pair, at least), I took the car to two more places for a 2nd opinion. Neither found two nails, only one. I had the tire repaired for 20 bucks and have had no issues. I could deal with time issues (we're all busy, I get it), but if it was going to be an issue I would have appreciated a heads up. What prompted me to write the review was the nail issue. I felt that this was dishonest and a ploy to force me to buy tires. It could have been an honest mistake, but the whole experience will keep me from Firestone in the future. read more

Horrible experience. Made appointment for 12:30 p.m. and 3 hours later my car still wasn't touched even though they were all standing around doing nothing absolutely ridiculous and I'll never come to this location again they just lost my business read more

Quick service to repair a flat. No charge and open on Sunday. Next time I have to replace tires I will be back.

I had to get 4 new tires according to Firestone when I came in with a spare from getting a flat. I decided to get them spending close to 1,000. I noticed my tire pressure light didn't go off after the install so I took it the following weekend to this Firestone store (originally installed by the location by metro center on Peoria). I was told that three tire pressure gages were broken and needed to be replaced (including the spare tire!). I explained that they must have gotten broken during the install by the other firestone. They told me they wouldn't charge me if that was the case. Imagine my shock and surprise when I was charged for two of them with the explanation that they only broke one of them! I used to take all 3 vehicles to these guys. Never again!!!! read more

So maintenance was still good, but I made an appointment and felt like I was continually shuffled. What should have been a 2 hour service turned into 3.5 hours. Will definitely reconsider what making an appointment here actually means. On a positive customer service note, they acknowledged and apologized more than once for the delay. They even advised on the best days to make an appointment in the future.I left feeling like the delay was still worth coming here. read more

We have used them for many little things over the years; replacing a tail light, oil change etc. I have always been very happy with them so I called when I had a problem with my ancient VW because the key had lost the ability to communicate with the car after the battery died. I asked them if they could help and they explained to me that I needed a locksmith. That this was a key issue. I was surprised but took their recommendation to call JJ Singleton. Their mobile unit was with me within 30 min (I was lucky there were in the area - but I am still super impressed). My car was up and running within 15 minutes. This was in comparison with VW who told me to have my car towed to the dealer, pay for an inspection, then for key programming and I would be near 1K (more than twice the value of the car) before knowing if they could even fix it. We took our 2015 GMC Acadia (purchased in Dec 14) to the dealer & they quoted $716 for some work. Firestone did it for $298... Excellent service & pricing for everything they do @Firestone. We've been customers for years & every time we go elsewhere we come running back to Firestone! read more

Many years ago I had some not so good experiences with Firestone shops and have avoided them since. Luckily for me one of my tires decided to all but blow up (tread flapping loudly but amazingly air still in the tire), very near this shop. I drove the half block from where I'd pulled over to check the damage, noisily slap slap slapping the whole way, my friend telling me there was no way I was going to make it before the tire went totally flat. The tire held, as I knew it would, and we pulled into the Firestone. Once inside I had to wait only a few minutes before Chad, the very pleasant store manager, came over to see what I needed. At that time all I wanted was to have the spare put on and the mangled tire zipped up in the spare tire purse. (What are those things called?) To my surprise he had a technician pull my car in and take care of it right away. We were only there for about 15 minutes, it would have been much less time had the poor guy not had so much trouble getting the tread flapping tire all zipped up. To my even greater surprise when I went to pay, Chad said, "No charge". Okay, starting to kinda like this place. Nice customer service. When I got home and begin pricing tires I was again surprised to find that Firestone was only a little bit more for comparable tires than the other big Discount tire place nearby. I decided to spend the extra $8 at the Firestone because of the great customer service I received. Oh maybe that was their plan all along..go figure. I went back in armed with my internet prices and knew exactly what tires I wanted and how much it should cost. Justin, the brand new shop manager, (He literally just got to Phoenix the day before, welcome to Phoenix Justin) greeted me when I came in even though he was helping another customer. When he was free he looked up the tires I wanted and informed me they needed to be ordered but he could have them in less than an hour. I couldn't wait due to an appointment I had later in Chandler. I had Justin order the tires so they would be there the next day. I asked Justin if they were the same as the on line price, he verified that they were and I said I'd hoped they'd be even less. He promised to see if he could do anything about that when I came in the next day. The next afternoon I dropped off my car and waited at Manuels Mexican restaurant a block away (Great Mexican food and Ritas). It took a bit longer than expected but I didn't really care. When I got back to pick up my car Justin went a step beyond his word and somehow managed to get me a great deal on the tires, including the road hazard. He also had my car fully checked out and told me that I didn't need anything else, my car was in good shape. No up selling, no trying to get me to buy an air filter or another service I didn't need. He had told me that it was his policy to never sell a customer something they do not need and then proved it by giving my car a clean bill of health. So, if you are in the North Valley and need work done on your car, think there might be something wrong, or you need new tires go see Chad and Justin. They are amazing and run a great shop! I was going to give them only 4 stars with a mention that I would give them 4.5 is possible but after writing this I think I'm going with the 5 since they are closer to a 4.75. Worst service, Charged me for a brake fluid exchange but turned out the fluid is not replaced. Later, tested the fluid (which is very bad) and certified it good. Then, the manager said he replaced it the second time, except he did not . Summary----------------- They charged me $83 for a brake fluid flush.I Later found out that they didn't actually replace the brake fluid. I went to firestone and asked the manager to retest the fluid that they changed recently. They did a courtesy check on the fluid and the manager misled me that the fluid is good for now (which is false, as the color of the test marker says fluid is very bad). When I brought this to the manager he argued first, and upon providing proof of the store mistake (that the fluid was not replaced), he said he replaced it this time, but actually didn't (which another firestone confirmed). The manager is completely dishonest and lied to my face. In my earlier visits they always tried to sell me something which I don't need at all. Details-------------------------- This cave creek Firestone did my brake fluid flush in January 2017, (Earlier in december, II found my brakes are not doing good and firestone recommended this). I went again for engine oil change in April 2017. They did a brake inspection, and in the inspection report (contains the things they checked and their status) they mentioned the brake fluid is bad and needs to replaced [I just replaced this in January and it is recommended to be replaced every 3 years]. However, they didn't mention the fluid replace in recommend services in the bill and I didn't pay attention. But when I got my car checked later with another mechanic, they mentioned that brake fluid is very bad and needs to be replaced. I asked the firestone manager (I think Brad) to do a courtesy check on the fluid. Though the fluid was very bad and needs to replaced (as evident from the color of the test marker), manager said the fluid is good for now (he lied on this. As I told him at the beginning, that I had fluid flush recently and wanted to retest it). When I raised my concern, Brad argued saying that other mechanic might have mixed something in the fluid. Then I showed him, firestone inspection sheet from April which says the fluid is bad and needs to be replaced. He argued that the inspection sheet is marked with hand and the computerized notes from april didn't say anything about the fluid. Finally he said, he will have the fluid replaced. [He is so mean, that he did not replace this again]. He made the fluid change in less than 5 minutes, I suspected him and immediately drove to another firestone. They checked and confirmed that the fluid is bad and might not be replaced. This store always tries to sell you something, when you actually don't need it. They highly suggested me to replace battery when my battery is in very good condition without issues. These scared me that my coolant might be leaking and charged me to test it (which is a waste and they didn't find anything). They suggested to replace by brake pads and shows, which another mechanic said, not needed and should be good for an year read more

I am very impressed at the level of customer service I received during my visit here. Mark K. the store manager went out of his way to address my concern that stemmed from my visit from a different store. He was very nice and was very accommodating even though I came in an hour before they closed. Terry, one of the techs, explained the problem with my car and reassured me before I left. Firestone Cave Creek Road where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came!!! CORNY I know! But, so fitting! I am a stickler for good customer service and those that provide it I become extremely loyal to! Friendly, clean, precise, fast and honest; that is what I look for and that is what I get at this particular store (Believe me they are not all the same). I like the fact that I can make an appointment and they are able to stick to it and not keep me waiting. I am greeted every time with a "Hello how are you today? Nice to see you back." I have been coming to this store for over two years and I get the best service every time! My last visit was over the top! My daughter left it to last minute to get her snow tires off and an oil change before heading to Mexico. They were swamped but not only squeezed us in but ended up having to stay open an extra hour and half to get her car done-wow, wow, wow! The reason why? The manager Mark Kowalski says "hey I have a daughter the same age and I know how much it means to you to keep her safe." This alone is enough for me to keep coming back for great customer service and personal care from people of integrity and honesty. Thank you to all of you! read more

Wherever we live we typically use Firestone esp for oil changes and tire rotations because we can consistently find quality and trustworthy service. Not only was this true to be found at Cave Creek Rd, but Mark at this location went above and beyond to create an excellent customer experience! Don't bother going here. They'll get the job done at a price. I've come here twice now. Shame on me. First time was to get a tire repair as I had nail in one of the tires. They did good and repaired it for free but swapped one of my tire air caps that where all black for one chrome one. I still decided to thank them for them fixing my car for free and paid for them to change my oil. They also rotated my tires at no charge and decided to swipe the three remaining black caps and left the one chrome one. So now only one tire has a cap on it and it wasn't even mine to begin with. Who does that? You guys suck! I'm off to go buy some matching tire caps. read more

I have been going to this location since I moved to Phoenix and picked them because they were close to my house. I have an old Toyota that is 14 years old and still running great so I truly come here for maintenance when I needed tires a few years ago. I think this speaks to the quality of their service. I like that you can walk in for simple things - like an oil change and they work to get it done in a timely manner while you are waiting. They have caught a few things I didn't even know about like my cabin filter. Also, they are always polite and courteous. read more

3,400 dollars later, 5 separate trips back to get my truck aligned , tires rotated , and a whole new front end. Shocks strut, training flush, ball joints. And it still pulls to the right Lois. And still makes a sound and the clanking I told you about in the first place. You and your store appear nice and kiss asses and you are a joke. But I have told dozens of people to not waste their time like I did. I will never be back. You took advantage. And your so called lead tech lied about working for Dodge for years. I have passed by this location for years however I had never stopped to have an actual service done until today. I have gotten plenty of air checks done here but that was about it. I do still go to the one in North Scottsdale but they will now have serious some competition since they are kinda close to me house (N.Scottsdale is close to work). I must say that every time I have stopped ( yes I know I have only one check-in but I was never here for longer than 5 mins. I mean why check in for an air check?) it has always been after right a mad rush which is AWESOME for me because that means in and out quick. Even the oil changed I received on a Sunday no less, they had me in and out in what 30 mins tops? Crystal, whom I remember from my favorite Scottsdale location works here and she is one bad (as in very good) mechanic/service tech! I so adore her as well as Tim who was a manager. Any who, If you are ever in the area, stop by get your services done, and keep it moving. They are friendly, fast, fair and they let you know what needs to be done either right then and there or sometime soon. read more

I appreciated their awesome customer service and thorough work. It's nice to go to an auto care shop and not trying to be talked into all the extra things they want to charge you for. They did a simple oil change and I am sure would be honest if there was other work needed to be done. They got me in for an appointment at a convenient time, were done with the work earlier than they said they would be and the price would very fair. The manager at this Firestone location took me in as a customer and fixed a job that was lacking by the Firestone in Gilbert. I had paid for three belts to be replaced at the Gilbert location, and come to find out, only one belt had actually been replaced. The manager at the Cave Creek location took my vehicle in the same day I called, replaced the two belts that were not really replaced, but paid for in Gilbert, with no charge and in 1 hour. I recommend this location to anyone!! read more

I have been taking my now 14 year old car to this Firestone for a couple of years and every time it's been a great experience. They are always trustworthy and more than fair. There could easily be multiple things wrong with my car at any given time because of it's age and mileage, but I have never felt misguided or taken advantage of and they always only charge for the work they do - nothing more. I do not recommend taking your vehicle here. I went here for two years just for oil changes. Every time I go here, they are all about high-pressure sales. They do a courtesy check even if you do not ask for one which sounds great, but its just a ploy to get you to purchase additional services. Their paperwork is automatically set up with two signature lines--one that authorizes the service you came in for, and one that authorizes the additional services they've managed to upsell you on. I take better care of my vehicle than anyone I know takes care of theirs. I had my oil changed on Wednesday, and then drove 50 miles round trip to work on Wednesday, and then again on Thursday. On Sunday evening, my husband noticed there was something strange about the way my hood looked. He opened the hood to find the air filter had been removed from its case and placed on top of the case. One of the services Firestone had recommended was replacing the air filter. They said they would do it free of labor and I'd just have to pay for the part. My husband replaced mine 8,000 miles ago, so I said, "no thanks, my husband will take care of it" when they called me on my phone to let me know my car was ready. When I went to pick up my car they mentioned something about my brakes and I said my husband did them completely the week before (he did all new front brakes using parts directly from the manufacturer of my vehicle- new rotors, pads, anti-squeek, backing plates and all), and that they're good. They asked whether he'd just bled the breaks or whether he'd done a complete flush of the brake system. They said that if he flushed the brake system they'd last longer and that they could perform this service. I don't know anybody who flushes a brake system when they do brakes. Not any shop or individual. Not to mention, my husband used dealer parts and I have a feeling Firestone would not have. Not to mention they might have forgotten a part or two, kind of like they forgot to put the air filter back in my car. I was driving on back roads in the desert for that 600 mile round trip. My engine could have been seriously jacked if something harmful got into it without an air cleaner. There could still be ramifications of their neglegence in the future. Please do not take your vehicle to them. Mistakes are part of being human. Forgetting to put an air cleaner back into someone's car that you were not asked to inspect or remove? That's ridiculous gross negligence no matter how you slice it. Go to a small establishment you trust. Don't risk your vehicular investment. read more

this place is hit or miss. i have scheduled oil changes days in advance and still would wait up to 2 hours for what should be a 30 minute deal. the techs for tires and oil are good but the front desk managers are over worked seemingly and look tired. if you are in a hurry or have a schedule to keep i would look elsewhere. if you can make a day of it they do decent work. read more

I have been going to the Cave Creek Firestone for well over a decade and I am done! I do not drive much or very far, mainly to doctors and the grocery store, so I am not putting my car through any sort of rough driving. Yet problems occur every time I have them work on my car, even when its just an oil change. They fix my car, tell me they checked everything and Im good to go, then in about a week I have a new problem that needs attending to. A week ago I spent over $1000 (that I don't really have) to have them replace something and today my car is pouring out fluids! I would think it was a fluke if it wasn't oh so familiar. Today I called another Firestone to ask how much the service I had would cost and they said no more than $750 including parts and labor! I also did some research and parts and labor should be about $500, so it seems Firestone rips people off in varying degrees from location to location. I will be contesting my bill and taking my business elsewhere. read more
