This Firestone is my go-to location for when I need an oil change or maintenance done on my car. Of course I can go to other locations, but I think this location has better customer service and the most pleasant staff members. If I need to schedule an appointment, they are very good with following up and accommodating me as best they can, and they service my vehicle pretty quickly. I also replaced my four tires here and inquired about which ones would be best for my car. I did some research beforehand on certain tire brands and had a lot of help from one of the female staff members in giving me options that best suited my car model and price range. This is where I go for all my car maintenance needs. They are fast, professional, and very friendly. I've had some very bad luck with my new car over the last year. Had to get a flat repair and a few months later had to get all the tires replaced. And the battery just... Full on died on me. This being a crappy situation, the customer service rep, I think her name was Jess, was very considerate and listened to my complaining. They took care of my car quickly and efficiently. What separates this place from other auto care places I've been to is their professionalism. They're always kind and courteous-- and they call you precisely when they say they will. Today i purchased four tires and the lifetime tire changes and alignment for my car. They said they will be probably 4 hours but I know they just give themselves more time than needed. My tire change and alignment only took about 2 hours. The guy said my car needed alignment really bad and showed me the before and after picture. Also explained it to me too. What i really like is if someone calls while they are with you they will tell them to hold as they are with a customer. Little things like that add up. Love going there to Firestone as i did with my last vehicle for the free coffee as well. Little tip go online before hand and print yourself the coupons. If you forget, no worries as you can just send it to your phone and show them. Also bring a coffee cup because they only offer 6 oz pours. read more

Tires, yes. Anything else, NO!!!! They do not fix issues, they simply replace parts. Its borderline PREDATORY on customers who do not know anything about cars. I do not know anything about cars, and was quoted $1400 for a entirely new cooling system. Not wanting to put that much money into an old car, i had it towed to a friends house who is a mechanic.... one $120 water pump and 30 minutes of labor later, my car was driving good as new. This is now the only repair place that I trust. Today I got my tires replaced and rotated as well as an oil change. The manager and his mechanics noticed that my tires were wobbling when they were changing it so they took it upon themselves to rotate my rims so I wouldn't notice the wobbly anymore. Truth be told I certainly noticed it but I didn't mention it when I brought the car in. They fixed the problem without asking for any extra compensation. Additionally they finished up my repairs in about 2 hours. They are quick, thorough, and trustworthy. This is especially important to me because I am a woman who knows nothing about mechanics and I come in there alone. I love this shop! Everyone should take their car there! read more

Set up an appointment for 1pm. Called in at 10am that morning. I came in at exactly 1 pm and was told that it would not be finished till 4 pm! They were just replacing my tires! Did not even start on my car until after 2:30 pm! Car was not finished till 4pm! So what is the point of setting up an appointment time if they don't honor the appointment ! Well the tires were nice but not cheap. But when we came in they didn't have what we needed and even tho the tires were at the warehouse we had to wait 10 days! Then when we finally got it done they didn't put the spare back under the truck. So we had to come back (which wasn't convenient). They promised they would put it back right away when we came in, but the guy made us wait 30 mins and seemed annoyed. Really poor service. read more

I ordered 4 new tires ($1,000) and made an appointment with advice to allow 2 hours for installation. After being on site for 1 1/2 hours work had not even started on my car. I then took Uber home and after another 1 1/2 hours am waiting for a call that work is finished. Once at this location is more than enough. Never again. read more

Even though I live in Kaimuki, I keep coming back because I always have pleasant and excellent service here. The only thing that disappointed me is when I really wanted to used the restroom and I was told that the restroom was no longer available for the customers nor the employees who work in the front desk. I was told to use the restroom at McDonald's. That is so unfair for the McDonald's store. I was really surprised because that restroom was never lock and always open for the customers. I asked why it was locked, and i thought it was under renovation. I couldn't believe what I was hearing that the restroom is mainly for Jessica the store manager who uses it for lactation only . I was very shocked! I think Jessica is the most selfish manager I have ever known. Is she someone very special who is not allowed to share the restroom? Is she prioritizing customers comfort first or just herself? In my opinion, she only think about herself not the customers. If she wants to lactate, she can do it but has no right to lock the resthroom and uses it mainly for her personal used. Keep it open!!! Very selfish store manager!!! Please let the restroom be open for the customers and the employees ASAP. Please Jessica, don't be selfish and knows how to share. You have to think for the seniors who cannot walk very far and to those customers who have weaker bladder. You don't own the store!! If you don't open the restroom for the customers and share the restroom to your coworkers, I will complain to the upper management. I've been coming here for over 25 yrs, never have bad experience only now because of Jessica selfishness. In my opinion, this is consider DISCRIMINATION. I'm very disappointed of her!!! read more

I went in for a basic oil change. They also did a "complimentary" battery check and said I needed a new battery. I was told my battery was rated for 450 amps but was only cranking about 300 and even showed me the test results. They offered me a new battery for $200. My old battery was purchased at Napa about a year earlier so I knew it was still under warranty so I declined and went to Napa. When I took the battery to Napa they tested the battery and showed me their test results - it was performing better than normal. It was only rated for 340 amps but was cranking out 410! Also, when I got home and looked under the hood after the oil change I found the under hood insulation was dangling and almost all of the plastic clips that hold it in place were missing. It was as if someone tried to pull out the insulation. Caveat emptor. read more

Mark was very warm and helpful-Spent time to help me find the right tires, explaining the difference between them and getting me into the safest most affordable option. They were also helpful with time constraints and made the whole process easy from start to finish. I used to live in Kalihi and have been coming to this Firestone for over a decade. Because I have hazard protection and firestone tires I'm kind of stuck going to a firestone. But will never give this location my business again. I needed to get a safety check but noticed that a couple of my tires had slow leaks over the past few months. Last time I was in (another location) I asked them to check it. They said that nothing was wrong. Because of the slow leak over months I noticed the tread was worn and knew that I would probably not pass my safety check. Firestone.com has an option where you can make an appointment online. Great! I checked this location, saw that they had one available for 9am and took it. There is an option to check what you need done. I checked on "tire" then a drop down menu and clicked on "replace." I was never asked what kind of tire I needed. You would think a company with such a large computer network with me on file for the past 15 years would be able to pull that up. So after I made my appointment a message came up that said I would get a confirmation email in the next 2 hours or so. Cool, I went to do other stuff and didn't put another thought into it. I wake up this morning, get ready and decide to check my email to be sure. Nothing. So I call them to make sure the appointment is set. The person I spoke to asked my name and said it was in. Then she asked my what kind of tires I needed. Huh? I didn't know I needed to know the name/model number of tires that were already in the system. I asked her if she could just look them up....here the attitude starts. She told me that they were not in stock and that she could make another appointment for me next week. It takes a week to get in tires? She told me I was supposed to specify what tires I needed when I made the appointment online. I told her there was no place to enter such information. Then asked why it was necessary since I'm on file and since I did enter the model/make of my vehicle. When I asked about the email confirmation she said that I was supposed to call and verify if my tires were in stock. Why make the appointment online if I still need to call? Basically she kept changing her story, but bottom line it was all my fault that they don't have my tires. She did say that the Aiea location did have them and gave me their phone number. Mostly what she gave me was attitude. She kept saying how I should have called them, and that the web site has glitches and that she's trying to accommodate me. How exactly did she accommodate me? Last year I came in to get a safety check. Some female, after today I'm guessing the same individual, gave me attitude about how they haven't done safety checks for over 2 years. As if I was supposed to know that. A couple years ago safety check rules got stricter and lots of garages stopped doing them. But they were smart and posted signs so their customers would know. Not this location, they just talk to their customers like we were supposed to know. I used to get safety checks there all the time, but sometimes would go to Jiffy Lube. It's only once a year, so if I went elsewhere one year I would have no way of knowing. I didn't catch this woman's name, but she really has to work on her customer service skills. Very rude, condescending and likes to shift blame to the customer. This firestone used to be full of helpful, friendly people and they always had my tires in stock. I either have the most popular tire size on the island or these guys are downsizing, thus inconveniencing customers. You will NEVER see another penny from me. I have been taking my old 94 Toyota to Firestone on Dillingham for 2 years now, for all my automotive needs, and trust me, there have been a few. Yes, it is a busy store, which says something about returning customers, and sometimes, it can be quite a wait. However, even as a single woman, yet no stranger to cars and repairs, I have total trust in this store. Their staff is highly qualified, and have never tried to convince me to do make unnecessary repairs or purchases. In fact, just the opposite. I have complete faith in them. Plus, as a little extra bonus, I feel ohana when I go in. Always extremely friendly, yet professional service. My buddy Wryleigh always knows me, and treats me like he is happy to have me as a customer. That alone is worth 3 stars! Keep up the good work you guys! read more

I brought my cat in 5 minutes early and they took me right away, exactly I hour later it was done. They checked my fluid levels, battery and tires also. I paid my bills and was good to go. Dropped of my car for a tire repair because the front passenger tire was losing air pressure. An hour later, I got a call saying three out of four tires that are currently installed are not run-flat tires and they won't be able to fix the vehicle unless we change out all three. Which is odd because I did tire repairs several times on the same car and all of the shops told me that ALL of my tires are run flats. So I decided to ask if the rear passenger side tire is one of the three that isn't run-flat. It was a trick question because less than a year ago I changed out that tire for a run-flat at another Firestone location. And guess what. The lady said it's not a run flat. What a joke. Then I told her the tire is replaced by Firestone and I paid for a run flat tire. She decided to go and double check if she's saying the right thing. 5 mins later she told me "oh it's actually just 2 out of 4 that aren't run-flat". I giggled a little inside and decided to look at the car on my own because obviously she's still trying to make me spend more than I should (I know for sure all of my tires are run-flats). Drove all the way back to the shop and took pictures of my tires just so I could show them on google that the the tires are all run flats. In the end, they agreed that they are all run flats. Firestone, you tried. Well, at least you tried. I don't know if they are uneducated or they were scamming me for repairs I didn't need to do just to meet and exceed their quota. Had to drive back all the way from PearlCity to Kalihi because a diagnostic light came on a day after they replaced my tires. After I tell the person on the phone what is going on, the girl who answered has the nerve to tell me "Well the light wasn't on when you left, sooooo..." Subtly suggesting that it wasn't their fault which made me extremely mad for the fact that they just were working on it the day before and my car is fairly new. She even went as far as saying " well sir we've had customers run over nails as soon as the pull out of our parking lot!" Like wtf dies that have to do with me?? I don't care about other people's problems in the past. Idk why she even brought it up. Anyways, I take it back in, they make me wait an 1 an hour and a half. After handing my keys over to them, I'm walking away, I see five workers in the shop. Only 1 car on the lift. I even seen one of the technicians sitting down on his phone. And hour and a half later they came out and told me "ONE OF OUR TECHNICIANS PUT 6 ILBS EXTRA AIR THEN NEEDED". Never coming back over here again. I know you making money by marking up the price of tires. I can live with that because of your warranty and brand. But your guys service sucks. made me waste another day off of work to fix something that you carelessly did the first time around. Never even offered me a discount or apology or nothing. CONS: This Firestone is TERRIBLE! I brought my car in a while ago for a safety inspection and had new windshield wipers installed. They did the safety inspection, but did not charge me, because my hood would have failed their safety requirements (acting like they were actually doing me a favor). In reality they snapped the hinge of my hood by slamming it down with excessive force, and didn't even bother to tell me. I had to find this out on my own when I tried to check the oil in my engine a month later, and the hood wouldn't even come up! So the hinge has snapped and the latch is caught. I noticed a noise after I got my car back, but my buddies driving with me at the time had me convinced it was nothing. THIS PLACE IS BY FAR THE WORST MECHANIC SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO-- STAY AWAY! PRO: The windshield wipers work ok...Good at installing tires without messing things up. I am currently seeking help from another auto shop, because of this Firestone. Just remembered to post this review. Also, brought it in to see if they would remedy the situation with my hood and they said they would probably charge me. If you're getting new tires this place may be for you; just don't let them touch anything else in your car. You might regret it. read more

I took my Lincoln Navigator to this location for flat repair (I had a screw in my tire.) Upon speaking with the woman at the front desk, she informed me that the machine they use to demount the tire will likely scratch up my wheels......There is nothing weird about the wheels on my SUV, they are the stock wheels. I do not recommend this shop to anyone that doesn't want their wheels damaged. Avoid this location and any other Firestone location that has the same " wheel machine." Goodyear has the correct equipment to work on my wheels, I recommend them. read more

I bought a lifetime warranty for alignment on my car last year but I sold the car and got a new one and here's what they didn't tell me that the warranty that I bought cannot be transferred to the new vehicle that newly bought. Ive been going to this location for years to service my car when the dealership is too expensive, especially for tires and such because the manager Jessica is very knowledgeable and professional and she always gives me her honest opinion and affordable prices. It is quite amazing for a young woman to run a reputable shop with no nonsense! Theyve recently added a new team member to their office, Sean. Besides Jessica, he is the friendliest person there. It seems like he really likes helping people and also knows what he is talking about. He is quick to go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your car and the service before you leave and he does not make you feel rushed or uncomfortable. I had an screw stuck in my tire and called to see if I could drop my car off to get it fixed. Jessica and the crew were very helpful and not only fixed my tire, but found another screw stuck in my other tire. That one could not be fixed, but they gave me options on what I could do, but in the end I replaced the tire (safety reasons). Excellent work and excellent customer service. read more
