My experience at this Firestone location was a great one. Aaron was manning the desk on a Friday evening when my car was towed in about an hour before closing with a second flat tire of the day. He was helpful, followed through on everything I requested and I didn't feel like I was getting sold anything when replacing my tires. I just want to first say that usually, I leave all the yelp reviews to my girlfriend, but this place was so bad I had to do it myself. I would give this place negative stars if possible. I dropped my car off earlier today for a state inspection. The lady behind the counter said 1-2 hours max, which was understandable, since they were busy. I said okay and dropped my car off since I had nowhere to be today. Around 5 hours later I call in to find out that the state inspection machine conveniently crashed and that they "wouldn't charge me since no work was done"... gee thanks for your kindness... I come in and ask when the state machine crashed and they said "about an hour or so ago...." so I'm just wondering if it's been down for an hour... were you going to wait until the store closed to call me? Oh and they also said "it should be fixed tomorrow"... part of me going today was because I don't work on weekends... In summary- I dropped off my car at 11 am and it is now 4:30 pm. I left my car at the shop for 5 hours and find out nothing has been done... I'm thinking this place will be out of business soon... my suggestion is head toward a different mechanic. I went to this location at the corner of 290 and Cypress Rosehill Road and I was satisfied to find tires cheaper than Discount tire, and better quality looking. They made me a discount of giving me one more free tire! so I replaced the four tires of my car all at once and kept the best as a spare. They have free water and coffee, clean bathrooms, and the guys are kind. Thank you! I only had to wait one hour, which is ok. read more

I read all the reviews here, and I keep scratching my head. I have had all of my vehicles serviced here for years with nary a hitch. Great service and timely work performed. Additionally, my monthly bill came in this month with a message stating that due to the severe storms we had recently, they were waiving all late fees, minimum monthly payments, and any interest for the month. They did not have to do that by any stretch. I have no complaints. No complaints at all. read more

These guys have no care for customer service: they took two hours to do a simple alignment and they didn't set it to within the standards of a truck that had a 2.5" leveling kit on it. If I can give this place zero I would. I only came for oil change and tire rotation took them more than 3 hours come find out they did more fixing that they weren't suppose too. They had no courtesy to even ask the car owner regarding the problem, they just did it without asking permission before doing it. Ever been to Firestone? DON'T! I made the mistake because they happened to be open on a Sunday, whereas Discount Tires was not. I have been to 3 different locations trying to take care of an issue I had. But now I have problems I didn't have to to begin with. Each location charges to "diagnose" the problem. This one didn't tell me they wouldn't have time to actually fix it! Since when did we start paying for a company to FIND the problem, then MORE to correct it?! Took my truck here to be aligned , I have personally worked an alignment rack for 4 years . Firestone called me 2 hours after I dropped the truck off saying they couldn't do it . Never coming here again. Came in 2 days ago for an oil change on my company car and they were too backed up to fit me in. The manager said it would be best if I scheduled an appointment. So I scheduled an appointment. I arrived 30 min early and now I've been waiting just about 2 hours and they are just now getting started on it after I brought it to their attention!! It's going to be an additional 30 minutes now. It would have been nice if they would have told me how long the wait was going to be. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I took my Audi A4 to firestone trying to get a quick oil change but it turned into a disaster. First off, they put my car on a lift and took out all of the oil and then told me they don't have the right filter for the car. They did this so I couldn't leave the shop which if they didn't have a filter that fit my car I would have simply gone somewhere else. This caused me to wait an hour and a half for them to get a filter in that fit my car. It finally came in and they finally finished about 45 minutes later. Everything appeared to be fine and I drove home after the long wait just happy to be out of there. They did not mention an oil leak or any issues to the car. The next morning I took my car to a store not noticing the large puddles of oil where I parked my car and my oil light came on again when I got to the store so I parked it and looked under the car to find oil leaking rapidly. I was far away from home so I immediately had to try to make it home before all of the oil was out of the car. I managed to make it home and I have had my car sitting in the front ever since. They probably didn't put the oil pan bolt on or messed with the oil drain plug which you would think their "experienced mechanics" would know how to do. I still haven't checked to see what they did to cause the leak due to me not having a jack stand. I'm playing my car doesn't have any engine damage because the engine could have easily been seized due to no oil. If my car has significant damage I will be doing something about it because this is unacceptable. Due to these issues that they caused my job has been effected because I do not have a way to get to work. So to summarize this, do not go to this place unless if you want to have your car messed over. read more

This place is a joke . Lifetime alignment ? Pointless when they don't take the time to properly align your vehicle . After paying $200 for the lifetime alignment , and being told they can't correct my vehicle pull , I brought it to a mom and pop shop who actually took the time to align and road test my vehicle , and it drives straight and true . Firestone spent 20 minutes trying to align it . That's laughable . Lifetime wheel balance ? I paid for that too . Had brand new wheels and tires balanced , and I get wheel shake at constant speed . All other suspension components Have been verified to be in proper working condition . Don't waste your time making a appointment either - they don't honor it . I waited TWO HOURS before they started on my vehicle . Please , avoid this place and take your vehicle elsewhere . Go to a independent , local store that will take the time to work on your car . I was driving through the area on my way from Austin to watch a Houston Astros game. Unfortunately, my car decided to have a flat tire smack-dab in the middle of five o'clock traffic on what could have been the most humid day on record. I was drenched with sweat after I put on the donut of a spare and figured my baseball watching would have to take a back-seat to getting my tire fixed first. I mean, I wasn't about to drive back to Austin on something that looked like I could dunk it in a Starbucks Venti cup. I first went to National Tire and Battery in Cypress and they said they'd be glad to help but they had an hour and 45 minute wait. Ugh! Before I agreed to that, I checked online and found a Firestone just down the road. I figured it was worth a shot. I got to Firestone and told them I just needed a flat repaired. During casual chit-chat with the courteous front-counter associate, I mentioned that I was headed to a baseball game at 7 p.m. but that seemed out of the question at this point. He checked his bays, and said since it was relatively minor work that needed to be done, he could get me in next and have me out of there pretty quickly. He did just that. Unfortunately, the tire couldn't be saved and the technician working on my car had me go out and take a look. No problem, I certainly didn't mind buying another tire. Before you know it, the tire was fixed and I was back on the road with enough time to see the bottom of the first inning. I realize it was fairly minor repairs that I had done, but that's not the point. They (the person at the front counter - I wished I had remembered his name- and the automotive tech) went out of their way to provide very professional and efficient service and I sincerely appreciated that. Unfortunately, that's the exception and not the norm in our current customer service environment. So, even though I'll probably never have a reason to return to this particular establishment, I felt the need to inform others of my extremely positive experience here. read more

I got my air conditioner replaced a year ago at another Firestone location on the southwest side of town. The air started blowing hot and my husband took it in to be looked at since it is still under warranty. We took it there on a Thursday they said it was a lose wire but by Friday night it was blowing hot again. Took it back Saturday was told the wire was not secure but they assure us that it was this time. Wrong. Sunday blowing hot again took in there Sunday evening they worked on it memorial day and we were assured the problem was fixed. Wrong again. Blowing hot Tuesday morning. When my husband confronted them about not fixing it properly and them just trying to run down the clock on our warranty which expires in June all of a sudden they figured out it was the compressor and some other items that the warranty would not cover. 400 to fix. The only reason we have dealt with them is because of the warranty. I and my family have always used Firestone but they have lost a customer for life. This location has some of the most underhanded people working there. read more

Time and time again this Firestone can not do the work in a timely fashion, or they screw it up. This time I made an appointment to have my tires rotated, showed up 10 minutes early for the scheduled time, and once again they tell me it would be 1 1/2-2 hour wait. What is the purpose of making an appointment? The only reason I even attempted to go there was the tires were purchase there and the rotation would be free. They have broken lug nuts off or put on so tight that they break when removed on 2 vehicles. They consistently try to overcharge my teenage children when they have taken their vehicles in for routine service. This place actually took care of me after shopping online at Firestone Complete Autos website for tires ordering and scheduling the install I was called back by someone at 2 different locations and told those tires weren't available in my area but they could put me into a comparable tire for twice the price of what I was trying to order..after chatting with customer service I did in fact find out that those tires weren't available in my area but I could order them and have them delivered for a fee? I asked why can't the store order them and let me know when they get there she said well those tires aren't available in your area but if you order them they will deliver to your house...I hung up and called this location and finally spoke to someone (Ben) that took the time to locate Tires at a price that was almost what i was originally quoted (the tires I originally wanted were on National back order) that would have been a better answer to start with..lol anyways I was able to get my 4 tires, rear brakes and oil change for half of what the other store requoted me!!! read more

Went in at 11:10 with barely anyone in front of me and they said my oil change would be done at 4! I said I needed to go back to college (4 hour drive) and that I couldn't do that, the man then reassured me it would be between 2-3. It is now 3:15 and I called them and they said "it will be about 5 more minutes". NEVER coming back to firestone again. Very unethical, rude and unprofessional crew/ managers at this location. Went for a service and they tore off my state inspection sticker and misbehaved saying that we were lying. We showed them the proof that state inspection was done at their location two months back and also showed them a copy of registration with a proof of Texas registration payment. When we asked them to give us the keys to prove them that there should be stick residue from the torn registration, they refused to give us the keys. We had to call the cops to resolve the issue. Took my 75 corvette in for a wheel alinement.they did 3 wheels and didn't have the proper shim and was told to come back later and they would finish what they started. My fault, i forgot about it until a year later and took it back.. Was told that I would have to pay for the metal shims ($42.00) 4 small precise of metal. I said ok and give me a new alinement ,$80.00 When i got the car back I was told $282.00 So with the first alinement $80.00 and $282 for the second it cost $360.00 for a wheel alinement. Incompetence and thieves! Made me wait two hours to get a replacement tire put on, then after driving home noticed that the tire was not only the wrong brand, but the wrong size as well. Drove back, waited another 1+ hour for another tire to be put on. Decided I better check it out once they were done. The tire was the right size, but still the wrong brand. Talk about being upset. They finally tell me that the tire was discontinued. Still at least one person took some responsibility and tracked down the tire at another location. I then proceed to leave the car since I have to go to work. I pick up the car a couple of days later and discover that the tire is finally the right size and brand. But then, I realize that my king ring has been swapped out. Someone at the location switched it from a gold key ring to a silver metal key ring. Thieves. I never thought to remove since it looked like brass and did not think anyone would be so petty as to steal it. I spend the afternoon arguing with the store manager (who has been very rude throughout this ordeal), and after receiving no help, I am forced to contact their regional manager. He promises to make things right and takes full responsibility. Then, since then, he will not even return my call and has failed to do anything about this. I have hired an attorney, intend to sue in small claims court, and I am filing charges with the police now. I can only advise everyone stay away from these crooks. read more
