I needed an inspection today.. I love the fast and friendly service and they have free water and coffee for their guests. My two rambunctious littles were busy playing in the play area!! Super cool amenity for parents who have to wait for repairs etc. The place was clean and the waiting area was very cozy and comfortable for customers. I do not recommend this location for auto repair services based on my experience. Charged me $135 for a BATTERY CHANGE, two bolts by the way. Took 30 minutes to do the service and their battery costs $399 (autozone costs $265, same brand). I was ALSO charged a $35 parts fee, no idea where that came from. Don't go here, it's daylight robbery. read more

Usually I enjoy my visits here but this last time had some flaws. I came in for oil change and was told about a hour wait. About 45-50 mins I see my car in the back. I assume it was in line next after they finish the next car. Now about a hour to hour 10 minutes in the car was gone and my car was still back there. I was confused. I saw workers just standing around and even saw anyone customer get their car taken in who came in after me. Well I overheard the front guy say to a customer it's better they get coupons first instead at the end. Few minutes later I go and say overheard about the coupon and decide to give my coupon. He asked for my car and then tried to find my paper work. Couldn't find it and then finally found it and asked the guys if my car was done. He realize it wasn't done and moved to the back so someone messed that up and my car was overlooked. If I didn't say anything I would have been waiting a lot longer without anyone realizing it. I ended up being there for about a hour and 45 minutes. Of course I got an apology but I figure I could have gotten a discount or something for the mishap. It was not my fault my car was overlook and wasted more of my time. If it wasn't for previous good services I'd give lower stars. read more

I had a panicky mindset before coming to Sun Auto Tire & Services. I went to another auto repair to get a diagnostic to find out that I needed to replace my water pump and thermostat. I have an extended warranty, and my understanding at the dealership where I purchased my car was that it was a pumper-to-pumper coverage. I am not a car person, so I accept this wonderful plan as I thought it was at the time. Well, as mentioned, I found out what was wrong with the other auto repair and was told that with my extended warranty, I would still have to come out of pocket for almost $700. This is my only transportation, and I am just unable to pay so much. Well, I called Sun Auto Tire & Services and, at the time, expected to hear the same thing. I spoke with Juan, who must have heard it in my voice yesterday and told me to come in and talk with Michael, the manager. I went in today still feeling overwhelmed by the cost and continued telling myself to trust the Lord Jesus; He always makes way. Even after repeating this in my mind, speaking with Michael, and trying not to allow my emotions to overcome me, I still could not hold back my tears. Michael made me feel comfortable and confident that he would speak with my extended warranty and give me the best deal. He encouraged me and reminded me of my faith. I sat outside and read some chapters in the book of Psalms while I waited. Without giving too much information, I was truly blessed when Michael came out to speak with me, and I burst into tears again, expressing these happy tears. I have never been to any auto repair that genuinely saw me as human, not money. I know Michael will be blessed 100 times for the kindness he showed me today. I am truly in awe of God and His people! If you are looking for an auto repair shop that actually "Love Your Neighbor as Yourself," Sun Auto Tire & Services is the place! We all are human, and with how the world is heading, you need people like this! I took my car in for a State inspection, OBD emissions test, which should take just minutes. After waiting nearly an hour, noticing the technician examining and apparently photographing my car. I asked why it was taking so long. Their answer was that they were performing a multipoint inspection, which I never asked for and was not told about. They told me that such an inspection is Company policy for all cars brought in, even those brought in for a simple State inspection. Their reason for performing the inspection is obvious, and it was not for my benefit. I told them that I did not appreciate them wasting an hour of my time for work that I never asked for and did not want. So, after an hour of waiting, they decided to bring my car to the front and told me that the emission inspection was not done because I complained. Seriously? They made me wait an hour and they didn't even do the simple test that I asked them to do. I should have left, but instead I told them to finish the job, that I found their attitude rather condescending, and that I would never do business with them again. read more

I have been a loyal customer with Sun Auto for over 4 yrs. However, I took my 2018 Lexus in for an oil change the week before Christmas. Expecting it to be less than $100. Then was told I needed a whole new rear end ( Shocks, struts, brakes, pads, rotors, alignment, and oil change). This, threw me for a loop and really didn't feel right. Also, since my vehicle was not showing any signs of poor performance. It was right at 64k mileage. So, I not surprised by the brakes, pads and rotors. And I'd just replace 1 tire a couple months back. But, being a single mature woman. I trusted this shop since they've dealt reasonably and fairly with me in the past. After the $1317.00 bill, it came to my attention that they had just changed management. I really feel targeted and taken advantage of by them. I'm certain now, after talking to my family and friends that the shocks and struts weren't necessary since, this has not changed how my car was and is driving. So ladies and gents beware and call a friend or relative if something seems wrong. Sun Auto has completely lost my trust to care and repair my vehicle. I even, asked to see the old parts they removed and replaced. But the manager Andrew only showed me a single shock-absorber and not all the other parts. My first experience with Sun Auto was coming in to cash in on an oil change promotion I got in the mail, and man am I glad I did! I asked them to check on an issue I noticed with my brakes and the moment the technician came in to relay what was going on, I was called to the desk for an update. He explained things in layman's terms as much as possible, and even advised me on options I had as far as urgency for the fix to be done, etc. It's an easy decision to switch all of my car needs over to Sun Auto after such a great first experience. I saw Sun Auto in our neighborhood and thought I would give them a try since the dealership where I generally take my car to get work done had a two-week wait. Went in got an oil change, and they came back with a list of things that needed to be done. I did the oil change and got the necessary work done with no issue. Since I had a good interaction the first time decided to go for a second time for an oil change. Went in took about an hour or so which is fine, and oil change was complete. 4 days later I noticed spots of oil in my garage under my car. I have had my car for 5 years and never had one drop of oil leak. So I took the car back Tuesday morning 2-6-2024 and told them I experienced leaks after the oil change. They took the car back to look at it and after about an hour came back and said everything was tight and nothing was loose, but three areas were causing the leaks. They said I needed to replace the valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets and cv axle shaft. So in disbelief, I am like after two oil changes with this company all of a sudden I have leaks. I just feel like I have been scammed and will never do business with them again. Never in the years, I had my car did I have leaks now all of a sudden I need to replace parts that equal to over $2000 worth of work. I have learned my lesson and will just take my car to the dealership. Beware !!! read more

I drive a fairly new 2019 Toyota and usually go to Toyota for anything to do with my car but they have been just extremely unreliable and over priced for there work. My dad goes here so i decided to give it a try since it's only 5 minutes from my house anyway. I felt my brakes were shaky and i knew it was time for new ones along with my check engine light being on. I came in and they weren't too busy maybe 2-3 people in front of me and yet they finished my car within 2 hours. On top of that they have me a rate for everything that Toyota would never give me. The gentlemen at the front explained everything so well to me and made me feel comfortable giving them not only my car but my money. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a new service center because they are not only reliable but realistic! read more

I didn't realize their name changed/were bought out, and after reading the other review, I was a bit hesitant. I only needed an oil change, and honestly, that was the quickest oil change I've ever experienced. Done in 20 min. We have been going to this place since they opened. (Previously Service One Auto). Ever since they were bought by Sun Auto Service - the level of service has decreased tremendously. They are short and very unfriendly and lack professionalism. We had an oil change that took over an hour becasue they said they thouroughly check everything. The only reason it took so long was due to the staff working on other vehicles at the same time. The gentleman also said we needed an alignment urgently and offered some other upsell items that were also needed for the vehicle. I am used to being upsold on air filters, etc - but had a gut feeling about the other items. We took our vehicle into two other places to get a second opinion. Both of those other places said we did not need an alignment and vehicle was in great shape. Long wait does not equate to good service! We will never return to this location and advise others to keep an eye out if they do go here. read more
