Walked in and was yelled at to walk out. Owner has zero temper. All I asked was if someone apart from myself could pick the vehicle up upon repair. I took my truck in to diagnose a noise it was making from under the hood. After looking at it for a day, I received a call that it was the fan clutch so I approved them replacing it, next day I get call back that this did not fix the problem and they wanted to replace all the pulleys which I approved after being told this should fix it. Over $600 later, I picked up the truck without it being fixed. So, next I take it to another shop. They immediately diagnosed the problem as the alternator based on the location of the noise and by plugging into the computer and seeing a code showing the alternator was bad. Needless to say I feel ripped off. I did call them to let them know another shop quickly figured it out thinking I would be offered some type of refund for their incompetence but none was offered. Honest, upfront, dependable and reasonable are all words that come to mind when I think about Angels. When I first came to Houston I came looking for a garage I could trust and after multiple disappointments found Angels. I enjoy working on my cars and do many of the repairs myself, but at times I am too busy or don't have the tools and equipment to do the job. Often times I have them do a once over on the cars and most of the time they have had nothing, but now that they are getting up their in miles things pop up. The nice thing is they call and already have a list of what they think I can do and what they should do. Not once have I found them trying to make me do work the car did not need or overcharge. I would recommend Angels to anyone. Tip. Take a few minutes to get to know them as they are like family and not like people at the run of the mill chains. Update 6/20/2013 As I said before best shop I have found in 15yrs. Other than tires and inspections I won't take my cars any place else. Btw they don't do tires and inspections, but if they did I would not go anyplace else. Always happy with the service and Locke talking with the owners. Just good people. read more

The 1st I went here for oil change they were ok. This time however it was an interesting experience. I went for oil change last week late morning & was told they wouldn't be able to work on it for couple hours & to come back. Ok, I can understand that so today I went back & was told again wouldn't be able to get to it for 2 hours. I asked if I could make appt for 1pm so I would have a definite spot & wouldn't be wasting a 3rd trip. He told me they wouldn't hold it open, people didn't show up. We've been using Angel's since we moved to Cypress. They have always been honest and helpful. We had very old cars in the beginning and they helped us make the best of the money we spent to keep them going. When we bought newer cars, we were able to take them under warranty to Angel's, BONUS! Getting to know the owners you feel like you are dealing with friends. They've always done reasonablely priced repairs and made good recommendations for us. I was told that I needed $4,000 in repairs to my Cadillac Escalade by NTB. I brought my car to Angels for a second opinion and was told that none of these repairs were necessary. They even brought me into the shop where my car was elevated and pointed out all issues NTB was referring to and explained why repairs were not needed. Todd at Angels told me the only thing my car needs in new tires, and not because he was trying to sell me any because they don't sell tires at Angels. I have used this auto repair shop several times in the past and they have always been honest. It's nice to know a woman can walk into a repair shop and not feel like she will get taken advantage of! Overpriced. I had them fix a leak on my power steering. They said I needed the whole thing replaced. I was stupid and let them do it for 1150.00 and it still did not work. They replaced the hose and I was still having problems which they said had nothing to do with what they just fixed. They told me what the computer said was wrong but they would have to check it out themselves for 60.00 to 90.00 for the estimate. I took the car to a shop in Katy he charged me 140.00 to repair. He said the other repair should have been no more than 650.00. And if it was only the hose no more than 70.00. I will never go to angels again. read more

This place is awful. Owner has very, very, very bad temper. Changed out one part in my SUV but when I drove it, it still didn't feel right. I bought my car back and was told nothing was wrong. They even went as far as blaming my tires for the car shaking. I had to take it to another auto center to find the problem. read more

Didn't diagnose my car properly, but charged me for a part that later proved unnecessary. VISA refunded my money after receiving a letter from the REAL repairmen at Firestone, who easily showed that if the original garage had done the right diagnostics, the problem was obvious. When I brought this to their attention and asked for a refund, they ignored my emails. The next time I tried the account on their business card, they'd had it DISCONNECTED! It was turned over to the Better Business Bureau, where they are not accredited. They tried to send a silly letter covering themselves to VISA, which one of the agents read to me on the phone, and it was just too ridiculous! All I wanted was my lousy 50 bucks back -- but believe me, after that it had nothing to do with money, it was all PRINCIPLE. I have my money now, but I'm doing as I promised this garage, and ensuring that I take every opportunity to leave honest reviews about their service and attitude. Even one of the policemen who helped by the side of the road talked to the and couldn't believe what he was hearing -- then advised me to seek out a "more reputable shop." Their defense was that I was in a hurry. ISN'T EVERYONE?? No one wants to sit around a car repair shop. It's not your job to hold it against me when I have somewhere to be ... we ALL HAVE SOMEWHERE BETTER TO BE. But I obviously would never have driven the car another inch had they found the actual problem. read more

If I could go negative on the stars I would! I bought my son a Volkswagen Jetta and brought it to Angels to have some repairs done on it. They assured me they had a "VW expert" on site. Not only did they NOT keep us informed of the progress on the car, they had the car for several days and I had to keep calling to find out what was being done. They destroyed one of the lock lugs on the car by trying to force it off because they didn't have a lock lug to fit it. They called me after failed forced attempts to get the lug off, I went to the VW dealership and they were kind enough to loan us the right lug key to get the tire off. They told me the car had electrical problems and that the wiring would need to be re-done. It cost me $2900 and a year later the fuses are blowing and tail lights aren't working correctly. My dad put a volt meter on the car and found one whole side of the car is not getting adequate voltage. Funny thing is, they claimed the "VW expert" worked for 2 days to get the trunk to work and that he just couldn't figure out why it was not working, I asked the VW dealership what it could be, the technician took the keys from me, and held the trunk button down for 2 seconds and the trunk popped right open. I would never recommend this shop! read more
