I had a much more professional and pleasant customer service experience 11-9-2025 with Rep C J or D J. I was sent there by the Highway 529 grumpy guy after waiting an hour there just to hear "We don't have a tire in stock." That was my first question upon arrival. Please don't get your lifetime alignment done here, so after i got my alignment completed my car and steering wheel pull the opposite direction before I had it done so I brought it back of course any human with common sense would after paying almost $200. But when I told them what's wrong with the car now, they says OK then I waited after a while they came back with an alignment sheet test result bullshit and told me everything was great. But what they don't know is my car was parked in the parking the whole time. Bullshit and laziness so i had to bring my car to another local hole in the wall car shop to get it done again and they told me my car needed an alignment really bad. read more

I will start by saying that my husband and I have spent a lot of money at this Firestone and for the most part we have been satisfied with the service. Most times we deal with Jeff, and he's been solid. But recently I have felt like they were trying to get more out me that what was needed. I took my car in for brake service on 11/16. I was hoping that I just needed pads, but they said I needed rotators too. No problem, I gave the go ahead. Once the work was completed, I paid and left. When I got home, I reviewed the receipt and noticed they did a brake fluid exchange. Keep in mind that I just had a brake fluid exchange on 10/8, a month prior. I called and asked about it and I was given an explanation about the ABS. Not the question I asked, but okay. Jeff said that I have an oil change coming up next month and it will be on them, since he didn't tell me they were doing that. I agreed. I hope they don't get amnesia when I go in. on 10/7 my husband took his car in because he was hearing a noise. It turned out to be the wheel bearing. We had work done on the wheel bearing a few months before and when I husband brought it up, they said the opposite side was fixed prior, not the one that needed fixing now. My husband couldn't remember which side was done and when he asked for proof, it took them TWO HOURS to find documentation that confirmed which side they fixed. My husband said he was surprised they didn't document better, and the way they had it on the receipt they could easily come back later and deny prior work. On March 15, we had work done on my husband's car. I dropped off the car at 7a and picked it up sometime around 6p. They gave me a list of recommended services and one of the things needed right away was a car battery. I told them it didn't need a battery because we had just bought one in November 2023 (from another establishment), so it would not need another battery after only 4 months. The guy just shrugged his shoulders. To this day, it's starts right up - no issue with the battery. Why were they trying to get me to buy another battery? Even with these incidents, I will give them 4 stars because there have been numerous visits with no issue. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! Horrible service. I had a scheduled appointment. Arrived 8:04am. Only 2 customers in the entire building. I pre ordered ONE TIRE . The tire was there and ready to install. Waited 1 1/2 hour for one tire to be put on. When I checked in I asked them NOT to go under my hood, I do NOT want their courtesy check because my car had just been serviced by Mercedes. ALL I WANT IS ONE TIRE. While waiting I noticed my hood up. I reminded them again DO NOT GO UNDER MY HOOD. I saw a tech close the hood. A few minutes later another tech was under my hood. I videotaped. After finally leaving Firestone just blocks away my car indicator came on. They were so concerned about scamming under my hood the tech did not do a BASIC tire pressure adjustment (see pic below) after taking 1 1/2 hours. Was told it was time to have my breaks done, so I had them replaced for $$$. When I got my car back, I immediately noticed a loud distracting sound upon releasing the break that sounds like rubber rubbing against rubber . My car wasn't making any noise pre break job, yet now it is post brand new break job, which is a problem. I took my car back in to this same Firestone the very next day and they tried again. The 2nd time, my car still came back making the same obnoxious sounds. I'm from out of town, so I had to wait a few weeks to be back in Houston to bring my car back into this location a 3rd time, and after a full day of keeping my car, they called and said the engineer couldn't hear the noise (which was weird because everyone in my family notices it right away.) After keeping my car overnight, I went back up following day and took the engineer on a test drive and he confirmed he could hear the noises and would see what he could do. After having my car for 3 days, I finally picked up my car and was told they upgraded the break materials to higher grade materials (why were the materials not high grade before?) and I'm gutted writing this, but the squeaky brake sounds are STILL there. So disappointing!! At this point I feel I will need to take my car elsewhere to get this problem fixed. I don't think Firestone will be able to fix this and honor their "Firestone Promise," (work warranty), so at this point I wish I could get my money back to get my brakes properly fixed elsewhere. My family has used this Firestone for over 20 years, servicing 4 cars, and has given them thousands of dollars of business, but this is unacceptable. UPDATE: I took my car to another business mechanic and he heard the noise immediately and told me Firestone damaged my rotors with a wire brush (They scratched too hard while cleaning them and there were deep ring scratches all around the rotors) and also said the rotors had a bad cut and would need to be replaced for the breaks to be fixed properly. He also confirmed my break pads were sub par quality, yet these were the "upgraded" materials Firestone gave me. This guy fixed the problem on the first try. Bottom line, don't get you breaks done at Firestone unless you want your car returned damaged, making noise, with sub-par parts! Go to Car Pros on Telge Rd and ask for Will! I would still like that refund from Firestone. read more

I made an appointment to get an alignment at 3. Got there, guy helped me pretty quickly (there was one customer ahead of me, but he got done w/ them in 5 mins). Got me checked in, confirmed what service I wanted, then gave me an ETA of how long it'd take (~45 mins). There were 3 other customers in the store but the parking lot was full! I was a little reluctant that the estimated time was accurate, but it was on point! The waiting area was roomy and had a TV and fridge with complementary water! It was clean and didn't smell of a mechanic shop (which doesn't usually bother me, but just sharing in case it does bother someone else...). Car got service, I checked out and was on my way. I upgraded for the lifetime alignment and they gave me a $20 discount so I feel like I walked away with a steal of a deal--taxes and all included I paid about $192 (for lifetime alignment!)! I'd totally recommend this place if you're looking for an alignment. You can schedule an appointment online and minimize your wait, but they get through servicing the cars pretty quickly! Both guys who help me were really nice and personable and didn't push extra services on me (which I appreciate cause I'm not about that extra life...I've got my brother for that...lol). read more

Dropped by to see about a simple inspection on a 2013 Escape around 11:15 on a Friday. I asked how long the wait was and the guy's answer was, "It depends." Nope, nope and nope! I said, no time for that while I turned six & headed for the door. I know what you're thinking, "Why leave a poor review when they provided no service?" Here's why. As I'm walking out the door, another employee comments, "Why the hell did he come in the first place?" My answer for you, sir, is this, a simple question of how long deserves a simple answer, ie. 30 minutes, an hour, etc. To me an open ended answer means you will run my car through a fine tooth comb, looking for ways to fulfill your monthly sales quotas and keeping me there well over a few hours. The last Firestone I had an inspection done at did the exact same thing to me. Your location being near a Chic-Fil-a prompted me to give Firestone another chance. NEVER AGAIN! I can't really recommend this place for anything other than an oil change or state inspection. The staff were helpful and attentive. I was then told that the rear struts were worn. I was quoted almost $750 to replace them not including the alignment. I can somewhat under the price for the struts and markup on them, but $230 for labor? These were quick struts, struts that are already assembled and ready to install. Last time I checked, labor is about $80/hr. They were going to charge almost 3 hrs of labor. Most places usually charge about 1 hr per strut. That's a standard strut, not a quick strut. I'm sorry, but that's a bit of a ripoff. read more

All around rough. Took FOREVER to get a single tire changed (2.5 hours). My drivers seat now has a grease stain from the technician, the rim has a gouge in it and is covered in grease and the new tire is covered in some white greasy substance. Can tell these guys don't really care much about the customer. Had no sense of urgency or feeling that they were wanting to take good care of me. It was the first and last time I'll step foot in this Firestone location. Oh, and when I got to my car, the center cap was missing from my rim. I went back in and they found it by the balancing machine. Again, no sense of competency or customer service. Sloppy routine work...didn't earn my repeat business. P.s. Firestone does a good job whenever they repair an item on my vehicle. I've been a car owner for 20 years now and my fall-back fixers are the dealership or Firestone because I know they'll usually do a good job in the end. On my recent visit they tried to get as many nickles out of me as possible I am upset. I paid quite a bit for a pricey diagnosis and they did not credit the diagnosis to plenty of other similar work I got done on the same visit. They gave me a lengthy explanation and reduced my payment a few percentage points but still, I'm not satisfied. Had I known I would not have gotten credit for all the work I received, I would not have given them business. I know for next time. read more

I will start by letting you all know this location is under new management, and new technicians, I have used this location for years, and always took care of me, but here I am after over $450 in repairs, and they were supposed to check everything, the problem persisted, I bought a new battery $250, and it seemed to take care of the problem temporarily, I took it to another Firestone in Silverlake, and the same thing $99 to check and later nothing, I don't want to buy a new car for work, I feel like my car runs good when the battery is not a problem, but after a long story , I took my truck to a small mechanic shop, they have always done my moms work on 75th near Griggs. I took the truck there, wishing one hour they checked everything, replaced the alternator and hitch Firestone kept saying was good, and now all my problems are gone. So after over $700 in guessing game, a shop that only charged me $100 for labor, and with the option to buy my own parts I will say that Firestone has become a place no one can trust. I have been going to this place for about 9 years now and I can truthfully say that I don't have any complaints. I get my oil change and inspection done here regularly and I have always walked out feeling good. The staff don't give out the "I know it all" vibe and I have seen them treat the women with just as much respect; something I don't always see at the mechanics. They recently remodeled their waiting/lobby area and there is now some toys for tots to play with. This location is right next to a wendys and a chick-fil-a and so you can walk over there for a quick bite instead of waiting at in the lobby. The service is normal. Sometimes I have waited 2 hours for an oil change but that is how a business is. Another cool thing is that even though they recommend some extra service they never ever try and sell it to you. If you don't want to take it then they leave you alone. One last thing...they regularly run a coupon in the local HEB grocery receipt for a oil change and tire rotation. A really cool deal. So Yay... I have come here off and on over the years. I bought new tires this week for my son's truck and get home to figure out they lost a lug nut and didn't put valve stem covers on 2 of the tires. I go back up to the store to find out that my technician was off today but they would fix it. After a 45 minute wait, I find out that they have to order the lug nut from the dealer and can't get it until the next day. If you patronize this business, I would recommend you drop off your vehicle for what ever needs to be done, whether it's a simple oil change or a tire rotation. It generally takes about 3 hrs to complete any of those type of tasks, even if you have an appointment and you are waiting in their waiting room. If you need an oil change, go to Jiffy Lube or Xpress Lube down the street, you'll be in and out within 20-30 minutes AND they do inspections. If you think waiting 2 hrs for an oil change earns you a "4 star" rating, you are insane. By the way, if you buy your tires here, tire rotation is free and a coupon is not necessary, just be prepared to wait 3 hrs for it to be performed. read more

A couple of weeks ago, I had the Firestone Auto Care at Hwy. 6 @ West Rd. in Houston, TX, add coolant to my vehicle. The air conditioner had bad air flow and had not been cooling properly for some time. Adding coolant helped but the air flow was still bad. I had previously replaced the fan and the compressor, but nothing changed. Firestone tested the a/c compressor for leaks and couldn't find any. They could have taken advantage of the situation and told me I needed to replace something that wasn't broken, but I am happy to report they didn't. Due to how pleased I was with my prior experience, a few days ago, when my car's battery and alternator died, I felt very comfortable having my car towed to the Firestone Auto Care location referenced above. Once the battery and alternator were replaced, it made all the difference in the world. I now have much better air flow and much cooler temperatures in my car. I am unbelievably happy with how quickly my car cools now! The service writer, Grantham, was friendly and very professional. He did a great job keeping me in the loop about the status of my car repair. When I went to pick up my car, the mechanic, Peter, informed me that when the alternator was previously replaced at a different car repair facility, the wrong part for my car was installed resulting in the problems I had been experiencing. I have been suffering in the Houston heat all this time because of it. However, thanks to the knowledgeable guys at Firestone, I suffer no more. It is a pleasure driving my car again! In my opinion, these guys are rock stars! I have been telling friends and co-workers, and anyone who will stand still long enough to listen, how I highly recommend using Firestone Auto Care @ Hwy. 6 @ West Rd. I have had the pleasure of getting to know the staff at this location and the technicians. They all work very hard and it is a family environment. The people here make time to get to know you and even your family and will inquire about you each time you come in. I bought my car from hertz who does a maintenance program with pep boys. I only go there for oil changes and tire rotations. The sales men inform you of nothing on your car and just check you out and ready to send you on your way. Firestone, especially this one, let's you know everything that is going on with your car good and bad. And will give you advice as to what is most important and what should happen first. I think this was the worst firestone experience I've ever had. My appointment was at 10 I arrived on time to replace two tires. After waiting an hour they bring up a list of other things that needed to be done the normal I agreed to change out the filter. 45 min pass and they tell me they had the wrong filter and they didn't have the right one in stock so they didn't replace it. Are you kidding me it took you 45 min to figure this out!??? I had my 1 year old with me due to the fact over the phone I was told it would take 30 min. 2 hours later and I finally get to leave. Went to this location for the first time on friday 12 June 2015 for a tire change and a state inspection. I've ordered tires online and picked this location to install it for me. I was greeted immediately when I walked in. They were friendly and explained all processes and expected charge. Waiting area was clean, cool and comfortable. The keurig machine was stocked and there is also free wifi. Shop area was open, airy and clean. I would definitely consider this as my go to vehicle maintenance location in the future. read more

It was not open at 7. At 7:15 me and other waiting customers walked over to some men who looked like workers. They had called 2 people and were told both were on their way. They do not have keys to open up. At 8AM, an hour after when they were supposed to open, I called corporate and made a complaint. I was assured that the area manager would call me and make it right. At 8:20, they were still not open and I had not received the call that I was promised. I made arrangements at Discount Tire nearby and they took good care of me. Never use FIRESTONE. Wish there was an option to vote zero stars because my experience was so poor. I brought my vehicle in after I had got a flat tire on my way to work. Upon arrival the gentleman behind the counter was extremely rude and very short with me. My tire was replaced but a month later I go to get another one of my tires serviced and am informed that the tire I had replaced at your location is the WRONG SIZE, and I had been driving with a smaller back right tire for an entire month. (HUGE SAFETY HAZARD BY THE WAY) Luckily I could take it to my usual firestone location where they took care of it without any issues. If I could I would put zero stars. Took my car in to have my brake pads repaired. My husband decided this was the best choice it was cheaper than the BMW allocation. Little did we know my car would get damaged. When I called them to tell them about the damage they said they had honest workers that it could not have happened while they were working on it that it had to of been a customer. Since nobody had complained or admitted to damaging my car they said I'd have to speak to a manager. I had no phone call returned that whole day. If you own a BMW or you know anything about BMW parts they are not cheap to repair. They may be fine line scratches and a small dent, but I take pride in my car and I know what scratches I have, which is only one. I am not happy with the customer service that I received and I'm so disappointed in how they handled the situation. Just because the damage isn't very noticeable you better believe the owner will know. Would not recommend them. read more

The only positive thing that I have to say is that they completed the work to the specifications. This visit took forever. When I asked how long the job would take, I was told "a couple of hours". Fours hours in, my car hasn't moved. When I asked about an estimate for how much longer the job would take, they couldn't give me an estimate. When I told them what the previous salesperson told me the people behind the counter said "he should have told you it would take all day". This was for an oil change and one tire repair. Great work, very friendly staff. Treated this lady with respect and gave me as much knowledge about what was going on with my car as desired. Even though I had $500 in repair, I felt very comfortable with everything they did and they offered me discounts where it was appropriate. They waiting area is stellar. Free wifi, so I could continue working and the TV set to an educational channel, I think History which is always a good one for all company. Clean bathrooms and free coffee!! DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU AT FACE VALUE!!! GET A 2ND OPINION ON ANYTHING THEY QUOTE!!! These people will take advantage of you and lie to you every chance they get. The techs are either too lazy or too incompetent to do a proper job. They claimed my car could not be aligned due to bad ball joints in reality it just takes more time and effort because the ball joints are not easily adjusted. To replace the ball joints they quoted me $1600 when even the dealership will charge only $750. This is again do to laziness as it is easier to replace the entire control arm (which is not needed) instead of the just replacing the ball joints that is what I suspect they wanted to do. They also put the tire weights on the outside of my chrome rims and tried telling me that it won't get as good of a balance with them on the inside, this is of course nonsense and goes back to them being too lazy to go back and do it the proper way. read more

Took 30min to even get to talking about the alignment because they were trying sell me new tires and when I refused saying not interested kept insisting for me to pull up the shop I'm buying tires from. After all that mess tells me they won't be able to do my alignment and that even if I make a reservation it won't be done right away only it guarantees my vehicle will be worked on that day...... I was visiting Houston and had a low tire. I went to this Firestone hopingI could get the tire patched. I was inundated with a hard sales pitch to get all new tires. They put the spare tire on the car and told me there was no charge, but told me the guys who work there only get paid for what they do--in other words, I should feel guilty that I was not charged for the help with the spare that they said there was no charge for. I could not wait to get out of there. I avoid all Firestone dealerships after this experience. I went to Costco afterwards where I was told I was not ready for new tires. read more

After they finish the job.The store manager guy name Romeo Guardado-Murcia hand me the quote and said this is quote to repair some issue with my car, after I read that quote and answer that I will do it when I verify all issue and if they really need. After I refuse to let him do the job like he gave me the quote, next time I brought my another vehicle to do maintenance he start having attitude with me Today when I come back to do inspection I call in and the sale guy told me go a head bring it in, when I got to store and as soon as the guy store manager saw me, he said he can not take any service for the rest of today and he talk to me when he still walking with his back turn to me, I thought Firestone is really good size business and they should train for store manager how to treat the customer who was help them pay the bill every month,,totally disappointed Gonna change another service and will report to my company that we have the maintenance program with Firestone for over 4000 service truck cross USA is wrong decision read more

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have used them for the past few years. About two months ago, I took my young daughter there since her car had a low tire. The technician not only put air in the one low tire but checked and added air to all tires. Then, recently, I had the same problem with my car and drove it to this facility. They quickly tended to me even though, I can see they are busy. My husband was with me and he was shocked how quickly they work even though, it was a free service.
