Waited 45 minutes and still no service. Arrived at 10:11 and it's not scheduled for bay times til 11:20 am and for completion at 12:20 pm. So I went somewhere else, Firestone Complete across the way. So I ended up going across the way and they took me in less than 5 minutes. However, they told me I needed to repair the tire and sold me a tire for $200-$300 dollars the cheapest being $200. I went back to Discount tire and they repaired the nail puncture hole FOR FREE!!! So after being inpatient, turns out Discount Tire is the best, just be prepared to wait. :). read more

The guy at dt told me some bs about something eating my tire from the inside bc the sidewall had a thin lite, line on it from driving 30-40 minutes. Smh. Had an appt today at 8am and Drake came out to assist. Very nice gentleman and courteous. Kevin, the store manager made it a point to come and speak to me ensuring my experience was going well. Initial quote was close to two hours for tire rotation and balance along with helping me with a nail in my tire. I live across the street and time was not a big deal. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, I did not book an appointment but since I was in the area after going to the park nearby, I decided it was a good time to go get my tires rotated. I got checked in quickly and was informed that it'll be about 45 mins. They are nice about having your leashed dog inside, he did very well. I think my car was ready in about 35 minutes and one of the team members checked the air pressure for all of my tires prior to handing me the keys, which was very nice since I did have some low tire pressure alerts. I recently went just to get my air checked and the young man informed me I had a nail in my tire. Since I have not drove my car for 2 weeks I knew it was a slow leak. I planned on coming back the next day. I came back the following day and the wait was 3 hours!!! That to me that was crazy. I scheduled an appointment for Friday. I came on Friday for my appointment. The young man said they would have me in and out in 46 minutes. (Without an appt. the wait was 2 hours) I was surprised when the guy came up to me and said they were almost finished with my car and it was only 20 minutes! I really appreciate not having to wait a long time and for them telling me about the nail to begin with. I will only go get work done here with an appt. The guys never stop working here. I came here about a month ago and purchased 4 new tires. About two weeks later, I got an indicator light telling my that my tire pressure was low. Turns out I ran over a nail. Made a 1pm appointment on a Wednesday, for Friday. Arrived there around 12;45pm and checked in with my phone and went to the counter. Guy there told me my vehicle would be ready by 1:45pm. They did not get it in the bay, until 1:40pm. In the meantime someone came in 15 minutes after I checked in. They were in and out before my vehicle was pulled into a bay. Another arrived a half hour after I checked in. He was in and out before I my vehicle was ready. My vehicle wasn't ready until 2:45pm. I was notified it was finished at 2:19. They didn't pull it up when it was completed I had to look in the bay area to see if it was still in. It was parked clear at the rear of the parking lot. Asked why was parked it so far away. Said some BS they probably didn't have any spots. So I had inquire about and ask why it wasn't brought to the drop off area. Won't go to this store again. read more

If you value your time. Find somewhere else. Came here at 8am as they were opening for a warranty certificate replacement. They assured me they located my tire after telling me I'd have to get a different size/style installed due to a discontinued one for an awd vehicle. Left my wheel for them to install the tire on. Was told at noon my ordered tire will arrive. Went in at 11:30am asking about the delivery status. They said my tire will be there shortly and has been picked up. I asked them to please call me when it comes in because I had work later that day and could not waist time. Called them after 1pm and was told my tire has not shown up, that they will have to order it for tomorrow. Waited longer and called after 4pm because I was ensured it was arriving today. Nobody contacted me. The first person inside who helped me, never alerted anybody about this tire being installed on my wheel, causing their other employees to look around coming up empty handed, wasting additional time of mine while trying to figure out what happened. With getting these new tires installed previously by discount tire, today it was required to break off three of my wheel studs, one tech with some audacity gave me attitude back while I was asking if they can please use hand tools instead of the pneumatics to avoid breaking further wheel studs. After having to break off one final wheel nut he wouldn't give me their replacement credit again to get this last one fixed while saying rudely "Well we didn't break it". Causing yet additional time loss now because I have to head back to their replacement partner for the second time, but this time paying out of my pocket for that error. After returning to get my car finished one guy thankfully came out to move it into the bay, although was in a rush and wouldn't give me time to speak up about how I'd like a rotation and which psi I wanted my tires filled to. This other inside guy who was forced to stepped in for the first man that must've gone home was aggravated I asked for a rotation on my tires after he only put one guy in charge of my car. Very unpleased with the run around and disrespect this location showed me. Like I said, find a different establishment and save yourself the major headache. Was not able to leave with my car finished and roadworthy until 5:50pm. Minutes shy of 10 hours later. In my opinion that's extremely unacceptable, additionally I had to call off work just for them to get my car finished. 0 stars should be an option here! But credit does need to be given for those last two employees who helped me. They finally got everything all sorted out and taken care of. (Update; While asking for the rotation I specifically requested to please put the new tire on the rear and move the rears forward onto the fronts. At 5:40pm after finally leaving their shop, while looking at my car I notice they put my new tire on the front instead of the rear like I asked. Two left and 1 remained - a high dollar car arrived via tow service and a Chinese national walks in and gets her car in stall before my car and I had been there at least 20 minutes. Total time I was there was 30 min. Angered me when I saw that a kid was in my car and had been in it. As my salesperson is telling me, he was driving my car up "for me" is when I realize he had been trying to jump on my radio to track me. Just purchased a brand new car about a month ago and already a bad tire. Try avoiding Hwy 290 with all this construction going on at the moment, after visiting multiple tire shops they all said they've been seeing the same issue come up a lot more often ever since construction started -- nails puncturing tires. I arrived at Discount Tire on a Monday at around 9:30ish. It wasn't terribly busy but I think I got there just in time because business was picking up quick. The Store Manager, Jason Curlee, is the one who attended to me from beginning to end. He was very kind, and showed empathy towards my situation. The damage appeared to be minimal but after having it looked at by the tire service techs, they determined my tire cannot be saved. It sucks big time since my car is less than a month old, but what can I do? Nada. He offered to have my tire replaced for a reasonable cost. The tire wasn't completely identical to the one I had before but it was the same brand and same class, just better according to Jason. I was offered a road hazard protection plan, they call it 'certificate', on the new tire but what kinda wowed me is the fact that they extended that to my other tires that came with my car that I did not even get from Discount Tire. That's awesome! The whole process took about 45 minutes. Quickest service I've ever had at a tire shop. Got my tires done in May and had a sensor keep coming on in my car for the last few weeks. Took my car in and was greeted immediately upon walking in, and promptly helped! Brandon Hefner has been an employee of several locations around Houston and he is hands down the best staff member discount employs in the Houston market. When he changes locations so do I. I travel literally 20 miles each way across town to his store simply because I would not let any other discount employee touch my cars PERIOD. He is never to busy for a customer in need and he is always helpful polite and very educated in his profession. In the last week he has had his hands on 3 different sets of my extremely expensive 3 piece forged wheels. This is a combined value of 15k in wheels and that is not an exaggeration of value for dramatic effects that is me simply illustrating the trust instilled and the care of service given. I just stopped in here by happenstance. My tire pressure light was on for both tires on the passenger side. Even though I didn't buy my tires here, we have been at this location in the past for other services, so I thought I could just stop in and ask them to put air in my tires. Little did I know this is a service they provide to everyone. there was actually a lane dedicated to air pressure check, and there was indeed a line. The line moved very quickly, and the attendant who took care of my tires was very well mannered and friendly. I appreciate the fact that this service is offered free of charge to anyone and everyone. With the weather changing into cooler temperatures, I think a lot of air pressure tire lights are going to come on, and it's nice to know that there are still companies out there that provide a very valuable service for free. It is raining outside today and I did not want to get out in the rain, nor do I honestly know anything about tires, and how much to add, so the fact that this gentleman very kindly stood in the rain and added air to the two tires that definitely needed it, but then want the extra mile and checked the other two, and added a little bit of air in both of those as well. I asked a man if he could fill it up just so I could make it to my appointment and back as I couldn't wait 2 hours for a tire to be put on. He said it was "too flat and on the ground". *Excuse my language but that has to be the most bullshit excuse I've ever heard. So I drove it to the gas station and filled it up just fine! If your techs can't fill up a tire that isn't even completely flat that's a whole new level of incompetence. Due to this I did not return to discount to purchase my tire. Do your homework before walking in the door! So the tires are fine. The person I worked with was ok. But, when they say they will price match that is where the problem begins. Found a better price on the exact tires at another retailer and was told to bring the information into the store and would get money back. The deal from the other place was buy 3 tires get one free and there was also a rebate. When you take the information in they do not just go by the price of the tire they do other things that on paper should be almost 80.00 difference but ended up with an 8.01 credit. I just want the other consumers to be aware of this practice and do your homework and price check before you buy the tires. Honestly I would have not gone here for that much of a difference. Seemed like a bait and switch. Now that I know I will make sure others know this. We all work hard for our pay and that much of a difference matters. read more

Great job by Michael and crew! I made an online appointment for 10 am, and showed up at 9:40. I was greeted upon entry, and they quickly had my truck pulled in and assessed. They removed the RF tire, where I had apparently run over a bike chain link, and removed the link. Luckily it didn't puncture. They aired up and inspected that tired, along with the other 3, and said I was good to go. Michael also explained to me that my LF inner tie was getting down to the secondary tread and presented me with multiple options, along with an estimated timeline of wear-life. I was in my truck and on my way at 9:57. 17 minutes! This store has definitely earned my return business. Great job guys!
